While the setting is a bright, beautiful thick forest filled with foliage the area will soon be home to a great battle. There are no rivers, no hills just a flat land filled with tall trees.

Koopa walked through the trees, searching for his enemy. This was going to be one of his greatest battles of all time, and he knew it. He held his mini-grav hammer in his right hand, a poke-grenade in his other. He walked slowly, not making a sound, as he wasn't going to allow his enemy to find him first. He constantly jerked his head left and right, searching, for a clue, a sound, even the slightest movement.....

Spartan prowled through the trees, active camouflage on and shrouding his form. He moved with the grace of a well-practiced hunter, which made sense given he had adopted a Predator persona around a year ago. He constantly surveyed both the forest floor and the trees, as he knew his enemy might have the same idea as he.

Koopa continued to search the area, and finding nothing, decided to use his fly power. He floated up to the top of a tree, then landed in it. He would jump from tree to tree from here. He continued to search below until he saw a slight movement, just the flicker of movement, but it was something. Koopa watched it more closely, trying to deem whether it was his enemy or just his eyes playing tricks on him.....

Spartan froze when he spotted a figure flying above the treeline. It seemed to be studying his area, meaning something had tipped it off to his location. Slowly, he drew his pulse rifle and switched it to sniper mode. The barrel extended and a scope popped up without a sound.

He brought the weapon to his shoulder and took aim at his flying opponent. He breathed out, then squeezed the trigger. A near-microscopic bead of superhardened tungsten shot out, propelled by an array of magnets and guided by a shell of energy to reach almost the speed of light. The sibilant hum-hiss of the rifle's fire echoed through the forest softly.

Koopa flinched as he heard a sound, the sound of his enemy's weapon. The bullet grazed his left arm, and Koopa cursed. He knew his enemy was there, and he threw one of the pokegrenades at his location, then leaped off the side of the tree. He landed on the ground and stood, another pokegrenade already in hand and his hammer ready for combat.

Spartan dropped from his perch right before the grenade detonated. His knees absorbed the impact of the fall, and his pulse rifle was up at his shoulder in an instant. It was in grenade launcher mode, which he had switched to while dropping. He fired twice in rapid succession, then dashed to the side as the explosive projectiles arced swiftly through the air.

Koopa saw two grenades flying right at him, and he leaped too the side. He ran towards Spartan, then threw a pokegrenade to the right, and breathed fire in the direction of his face. He raised his hammer and threw it at Spartan's chest before leaping into the air and flying again, preparing to avoid his next attack.

Spartan whirled in the air and kicked the grenade back at Koopa before landing in a crouch. He dove forward, dodging the fire breath and hurled hammer. His shields flickered slightly as an edge of the flames touched his back. He came up almost directly underneath Koopa. He didn't hesitate to fire at the odd creature, the weapon's status having been reset to rifle mode.

Koop dived to the side, avoiding the grenade knocked back at him, then Spartan dived underneath him(Not godmodding just a recap) and fired. Koopa tried to avoid the bullets, but took a round in the back, and he snarled in pain. He grabbed his mini-hammer, then flew in the air, and dropped directly above Spartan, bringing his hammer down with lethal force. He dropped grenades in a small perimeter, making escape near impossible.

Spartan brought his rifle over his shoulder and let the magnets clamp it down as it folded up with one hand while drawing the Black Blade with his other. He sprang straight up, the jump-jets propelling him far faster. He swung the sword up to parry the hammer blow to the side, then punched out with his free hand at Koopa's face.

Koopa jerked his head to the side and took the blow to the cheek, then swung back at Spartan. He held a pokegrenade in his hand, and dropped it seconds after it was armed, then leaped into the air and flew once again. He threw his hammer at Spartan again, determined not to let his enemy defeat him.

Spartan twirled the Black Blade in a vertical whipping motion, the tip slicing through the grenade, separating the primer from the explosive--this would render it harmless for the time being--and up to knock the hammer aside. He drew his rifle with his left hand and fired at Koopa, the stock sliding in, which made it a less bulky shape.

Koopa dropped to the ground suddenly, avoiding Spartan's fire. He rolled to the right and retrieved his hammer, then turned towards Spartan and opened his mouth. Out shot liquid nitrogen, a force that would freeze Spartan if hit. Koopa then armed another pokegrenade and cooked it, throwing it just before it exploded.

Spartan activated his camouflage while strafing to the left, using the cone of nitrogen as an optical barrier to conceal where he was going. The nitrogen scraped his shields again, but they didn't go down much. He kept low to the ground as he ran farther into the woods, then jumped and started to rapidly ascend a tree.

Koopa turned nd growled in frustration. He leaped and flew into the treetops once again, and began to scour the forest for his enemy. He had to be there somewhere, he wouldn't just run away. If he did, then Koopa had already won. He frantically searched left and right, listening for even the slightest sound.

Spartan crouched low as he watched Koopa rush around, attempting to find him. He concentrated for a moment, activating Eagle Knowledge. A golden trail swerved through the forest, indicating where Koopa had gone and where he would go in the next several seconds.

There...the trail lead directly next to an adjacent tree. Spartan nimbly hopped over to the tree when Koopa wasn't looking, then clung to the trunk. As Koopa approached, Spartan simply let go. He attempted to stab Koopa with the Black Blade, using both his strength and gravity to hopefully pierce his enemy's back.

Koopa heard a sound of metal splitting air, and he turned in time to see the black blade of his enemy aimed right for his back. He brought up his hammer and knocked the blade away, then swung his hammer for his enemy's face, and prepared a breath of acid that would hopefully melt his armor.

As Spartan was falling rapidly through the air, Koopa only had time to deflect the Black Blade before he crashed into his flying foe. Spartan hung on to Koopa, easily leaning to the side to avoid the acid. He swung his feet, using the momentum to bring him onto Koopa's back. He then raised a shortened Black Blade in a reverse grip and attempted to stab Koopa in the head.

Koopa drew a pokegrenade and thrust his fist above him, attempting to slam it into Spartan's face and knock him off of Koopa. Koopa turned and swung his hammer once again, preparing another breath of acid.

Spartan's shields went down to almost half from the punch. He vaulted backwards, avoiding the hammer blow with a graceful mid-air backflip. As he started to become level with Koopa, he kicked the grenade in the air next to him back at Koopa's maw as his enemy's mouth opened to expel another breath attack.

He used his jump-jets to propel him back from the explosion, pulse rifle drawn and firing.

Koopa shot out acid at Spartan, missing him as he flew back aways. The acid connected with the pokegrenade, causing it to explode, knocking Koopa on the ground. He threw his hammer at Spartan and armed a pokegrenade before standing, then he threw the grenade near Spartan.

Spartan was far enough away to lean to the side, avoiding the hammer completely. He fired once, the pulse round streaking forward to hit the grenade barely after leaving Koopa's hand. He squeezed the trigger again, sending a hail of projectiles at Koopa.

Koopa dived forwards in a somersault before standing. He fired a breath of acid at Spartan, then rolled to the left and grabbed his hammer. He raised it in a defensive stance, waiting for Spartan's next move.

Spartan stepped back thrice to avoid the breath attack, the edge falling short of his position. He switched to grenade launcher mode, then fired rapidly all around Koopa; the first two were flashbang grenades to stun his enemy, while the rest were ordinary explosive grenades.

Koopa drew a pokegrenade and threw it at one of the grenades, and the combined force caused them to explode three others. Koopa leaped out of the way of the stun grenades and flew in the air attempting to land on top of his head and smash his helmet in.

Spartan evaded to the side, Black Blade drawn, then hopped over Koopa and slashed; all of this was done in less than a second after Koopa struck. Spartan landed and rolled back, denying any immediate counter blows. When he came back up on his feet, he fired a single flashbang grenade at Koopa's feet while shutting down his suit's external microphone and lowering the polarity of his visor just before the grenade went off. In the wake of the explosion, he had activated camouflage and charged silently at Koopa, Black Blade whirling through the air.

Koopa saw the flashbang hit the ground and he leaped in the air and began to fly, keeping his eyes away from the blast. A ringing filled his ears as the flashbang hit, but he could still see. He watched the ground, searching for his enemy again, and he began to prime and cook grenades, dropping them only just before they exploded.

Spartan sprang up at Koopa when his flying opponent turned his head to drop grenades, Black Blade cleaving down at Koopa's heart. When he came back down to the ground, he drew his pulse rifle and started firing at Koopa while racing through the trees.

Koopa saw the black blade coming for him, and smacked it away with his hammer. As his enemy began to fire, Koopa tossed a handful of grenades before dropping suddenly to the ground. He drew his hammer and began to chase after his opponent.
