Lucy Grey
Rubbing her eyes, she looked over to the driver, Jackson. None of them had said a word. Letting out a sigh she began playing with her pistol held firmly in her hand. This was depressing she would admit...
Oh well.
Upon pulling to a stop she reached up and removed her helmet, untying her pony tail to let it fall down and tossing the rubber band to the side. Crack in her visor was steadily growing with the usage. She's have to repair it some. Was her helmet.
Popping her neck to the side she let out a breath and leaned her head back, lighting a cigarette and waiting for Jason to call her.
Fredrick Johns
A speeding form came bearing down at the end of the convoy, slowly gaining pace past the warthogs as Fredrick went full speed on the peddle.
Coming near the front of the convoy Fredrick yelled out. "Lookin' for Sergeant Bowers!" At the front car. "Was told to look up here!" He said as he caught up with the front hog, the Mongoose under him struggling a bit to keep up.

Staff Sergeant Jason 'Iceman' Bowers ABLE Company: DELTA DESTROYERS Ground-side front of the convoy "Badger One-One... No repairs, apologies but we are stepping off in three minutes, just stick close to the convoy and we will look out for you... Bowers out"Jason jumped out the back of his Warthog and moved around the front to talk to the Corporals in his Squad when he heard the recognizable sound of a mongoose engine steam up the side of the convoy. "Lookin' for Sergeant Bowers!" Bowers heard a man speak. "Was told to look up here!Jason lent back from behind the front of the Warthog and watched as a Mongoose with a man on it came speeding up to the front hog, Jason stepped out and waited for the Mongoose to slow it's pace and stop next to Jason, Jason looked at the man and noticed he was a corporal, Jason took lifted a hand to re-position his bandanna that he had been wearing before speaking. "That's Staff Sergeant Soldier... And who the fuck are you, if I remember correctly we are stepping off in..." Jason turned his head and pointed to Private Trombly on the gun of his Warthog. "Two minutes Staff Sergeant"Jason turned his head back to the Corporal and nodded. "...Two minutes... Why is it that you are all the way up here Corporal?"Jason stared at the man with unblinking eye's there was no wind in here to affect the moisture on them so he could possibly keep them open all day, Jason gripped the handle of his SAW and lifted it up sliding his left hand under the barrel to take some pressure off the strap around his shoulder.

Fredrick Johns
"I'm your new recruit, "Staff Sergeant Bowers". " He said the rank with a strong hint of sarcasm. "Names Fredrick Johns, Ex-Spec-Ops Marine, used to pilot Cyclops suits."
"Quite literally just got dropped off here recently, sir. General gave me the reassignment, 'nd I was told to bring my file with me for you to read on." He said, pointing at the datapad on his hip.

Staff Sergeant Jason 'Iceman' Bowers ABLE Company: DELTA DESTROYERS Ground-side front of the convoy Jason looked at the TAC-PAD on the mans hip for a moment before holding out a hand for it, once the man gave it to him he would turn it upright and begin to view the file, looking over previous history, promotions, demotions, rewards, medals, transfers even his medical history and battle history, Jason nodded and continued to look over the file before moving to sit in the passenger seat of his Warthog, he then looked at the man. "That thing needs to keep up and your riding with me in the back, so stow that mongoose away in one of the APC's then come back here and jump in the back"Jason nodded before looking back toward the file, he then gestured with a hand for one of his Corporals to get into the drivers seat and start up the Warthog without even having to speak or take his eye's off the TAC-PAD. "Oi Jake..." Jason said passing his Corporal the TAC-PAD "Check out this guy's insubordination records while I look for Lucy... If I aint back in time just step off and I will ride with someone else""Sure thing"Jason hauled himself out of the passenger seat of his Warthog and lifted his SAW to hold it with both hands, a second later he began to walk down the side of the convoy, putting his helmet on and looking through the monocle trying to get a lock on Lucy's neural implant, once he did he smiled and continued to walk down the side of the convoy, passing about twenty hogs and a few APC's before he made it there, once he did made it to her hog he dropped his hand down on the bonnet and walked to the passenger seat. "How was the ride?" Jason said before leaning in and kissing Lucy gently on the cheek before leaning back to look at Jackson with a small smirk, he then looked back to Lucy, dropping his saw and holding it with his left hand waiting for her to say something about his weapon.

Gunnery Sergeant Francis Hayes, Badger Two-One Badger Armored Platoon, Alpha Company, Task Force 77 UNSC Convoy inside Shield World
"Badger One-One," came a reply from the convoy leader, "No repairs, apologies but we are stepping off in three minutes, just stick close to the convoy and we will look out for you... Bowers out"
"Copy that, Sergeant," Lieutenant Marshall replied crisply. He cut the comm channel, then sighed. "We're coming up into the tunnel, Badger," he broadcasted to the platoon, "Perform what maintenance you can within..." he paused, "Two mikes."

Fredrick Johns
Doing as he was told and parking the mongoose before sprinting back to the Warthog, least a meter or two away. stopping a few feet from the hog to grip his chest and try to suck in a breath for a moment before sucking it up for the rest of the way and pushing himself up to the Warthogs back and sitting down, gripping his chest, rasping a bit before shaking it off.
"Bit of Asthma, sorry..." He said in a breathy voice before shaking his head and drawing his M6D, repeatedly checking it over before leaning forward with his head in his hands, two silver rings on his left hand clearly exposed. He was just waiting for one of them to ask about his file. He knew it was coming.
Lucy Grey
She smiled faintly at Jason, rubbing her eyes before looking down at his weapon, her childish nature coming back as she spoke in a whiny tone. "I want oneeee!" She said, frowning.
"They look fun... Extra gun never hurts either."
Meanwhile Jackson was gripping the steering wheel till his knuckles became white, and Anders was sitting quietly, Alex's Rocket Launcher on his shoulder.
Rakath V'keelaii
As he and his team moved, he heard it. The hum of a Phantom..
Perfect...
Chiming in to the comm Rakath spoke, wondering if the Covenant knew the himself as a Heretic yet. "This is Rakath V'keelaii. My Lance and I need air transport, Now!"
"Very well, brother." An elite Voice said as the Phantom landed a few feet away, opening its carriage to show a lance of Minors, and two Ultra's. Each of them eying the weapon they held... the human weapons.
"Why do you disgrace use using weapons such as this?" The first Ultra asked as the two white armored solders, lighting... two of a weapon Rakath had not seen often. Looking through his mind he recognized it. "Energy... Greatsword."
Looking back at his small band for a moment Rakath thought.
Nodding, he gave the signal to go into camo. Kallmee was the first to act, a Sniper shot tore through the first Ultra's skull as he dropepd his own energy Greatsword. Ultra's skull, Renmee was next as a Minor went down with a shotgun blast to the neck. The last two minors were left to either Face MimYap or Rakath.
Coming out of Camo Rakath watched as the Ultra the charge, Energy Greatswords bared. Drawing his own sword in one hand, and energy Dagger in the other Rakath evaded to the side and faded into camo again as the Zealot began slashing about at the flickering.
"FIRE ON HIM NOW!" Renmee yelld out as the three Elites came from invisibility around the last Ultra, aiming weaponry at him.
"HERETICS" he roared as Rakath's men opened fire.
A Sniper shot, and Two shotgun blasts left a grizzly death to the poor being.
Slowly he walked over to the body and crouched next to it, sealing his hand on the Greatsword laying discarded on the ground and holding each in his hands before his face. "May you res in peace, brothers. I am sorry it had to come to this...
Letting out a breath, Rakah rubbed his eyes.
Renmee opened the door to the cockpit and lifted his shotgun, fired twice as another roar came from inside, another dead Elite.
The bodies were dragged out and tossed to the side, Weaponry looted, and each of them piled into the Phantom.
"Does anyone know how to pilot this?" Rakath asked, looking over at Kallmee. Without bothering to say anything, Kallmee was in the cockpit and the Phantom sealed and rose up while Rakath, Renmee, and MimYap were left in the hold with their feet magnetized down so they wouldn't fall around.
"MimYap, if oyu are choosing to leave us now is the time. e can drop you off where your Lance is if you so wish." Rakath said, grunting as he took a seat carrying all the unneeded weapons. About ready to toss some out.
"Go the opposite way of the Sentinels, Kalmee. we should find the control room eventually."

Staff Sergeant Jason 'Iceman' Bowers ALPHA Company: DELTA DESTROYERS Ground-side front of the convoy Jason smiled as Lucy gestured to the SAW Jason looked left and right before noticing their was a supply truck near-by, Jason nodded and dropped his SAW, the strap around his shoulder keeping it on, he walked over to the supply truck and climbed into the back of the supply-truck and looked around before noticing one of the new SAW models attached to a bag, he gripped the bag and then jumped back down before moving back to the Warthog Lucy was in. "Here you go love..."Jason said handing Lucy the SAW with a box already loaded on it, the box holding 200 rounds, this particular SAW having a hand-grip attached to the bottom and a flashlight on the left hand side, it also had a ACOG scope, Jason smiled and put the bag of ammo by her feet which would have about five boxes at the least in there eight the max. "200 Rounds... Low recoil, good aim with short controlled bursts---"Jason was cut off by his Corporal alerting the convoy over the radio. "Lead Hog to Convoy... We are rolling out now, stow away your gear and form two lanes behind the lead hog, go at medium speed, we got tanks at out six trying to catch up"Jason looked to Lucy and then to Jackson before nodding. "Time to go" Jason moved back and climbed into the back of the Transport Variant Warthog Jackson was driving, sitting just behind Lucy as he climbed in Jackson then began to slowly step on the gas, moving with the convoy. Private First Class Daniel Mendoza ABLE Company: Fire-Team Charlie Shield-World catching up convoy Mendoza held onto the tank tight and watched as the Tank's quickly rolled up to the tunnel that had been built into a cliff-face, is was then he heard the commander of the tank he was sitting on request repairs, once he had finished the transmission and heard the other man reply Mendoza moved over to the hatch sat near it and banged down on the hatch a couple of times before speaking to the driver. "Hey man... Don't worry about repairs... We're good at repairs... Just catch up to the convoy"

Gunnery Sergeant Francis Hayes, Badger Two-One Badger Armored Platoon, Alpha Company, Task Force 77 UNSC Convoy inside Shield World
The tanks began to pull up to the tunnel, and Hayes saw the Private on Marshall's grizzly bang on the hatch. "Hey man," Hayes heard him say through the comms, "don't worry about repairs... We're good at repairs... Just catch up to the convoy"
"Whatever you say, Private," Marshall said exasperatedly.
Badger had hardly pulled up into the tunnel before another boradcast came from the Staff Sergeant:
"Lead Hog to Convoy... We are rolling out now, stow away your gear and form two lanes behind the lead hog, go at medium speed, we got tanks at out six trying to catch up"
"Damn it!" cursed Marshall. "Badger, full speed. fucking over!" he shouted. The tanks sped up, and Hayes could just barely make out the rear lights of warthogs and APCs hundreds of feet ahead of them.
"Hernandez," Hayes sighed, "Go ahead and speed up."
"Got it, Gunny," came the on-the-mark reply from the Sergeant. Hayes' stomach lurched slightly as the tank sped up, going towards the convoy.
"Private," Lieutenant Marshall said to Mendoza, "We'll group up a bit so you can get to Badger Four, in the rear. Worst hit tank, the engine's basically on fire. You got it?"

Special Operations Officer Sorsa 'Xirsasai Sorsa moved through the wide hall, plasma repeater held firmly in both hands. "Officer, we seem to have found a large doorway." Came Major 'Sraomee's voice over the COM. "I cannot find where to unlock it, however. Wait...I think I hear something..." "Get back here, now." Sorsa growled, making the "wait" signal to Til. "I don't want to be short four Sangheili." "Acknowledged." 'Sraomee replied. "We are on our way back now--" An agonized scream could be heard, which was followed my muffled Sentinel beams firing...along with something else--it sounded like the combination of a needler, spiker, and plasma rifle firing in perfect synchronization. "Major? Major!" Sorsa yelled, settling into a ready stance. There was nothing but static on the other side. He made the "find cover" signal to Til, his own feet directing him to an outcropping in the hallway. Just as his back touched Forerunner metal, large hidden panels opened in the ceiling, from which a swarm of Sentinels poured; Sorsa surmised about fifteen to twenty had entered. Several Ruby and quite a few sapphire beams crisscrossed the room, attempting to cut down all the Covenant they could see.

Second Lieutenant Killinger
The Lieutenant slowly looked at his TAC-PAD, his platoon were on all on the newest line of Warthog's from the UNSC, except for Killinger and another 'Hog, who were both a standard LAAG. His platoon consisted of seventeen Warthogs. Forty men fit into seventeen Warthogs, some of them having passengers.
His little convoy consisted of mostly basic set-up, one LAAG and one Guass, however two of the 'Hogs in his Convoy had the dual Guass Cannons, "Second Platoon, you heard the Convoy Lead."
Killinger's 'Hog moved to the right, then leveled off, trailing another Warthog. The rest of his platoon sped up and matched the rest of the convoy, soon, it'll be time to get the fuck off this planet.
Vice Admiral Klix
"Sorry, Sir. We can't move. We are being held by some sort of anti-gravity device. We've pushed our reactors to the max and haven't moved an inch." The Navigator responded, the Admiral simply sighed.
"And our weapons?" He asked again, already knowing the answer. "Sir, we've got our Personal Defense Weapons and ARCHER's." The Weapons officer replied, "Admiral, Sir. I think we are getting held in place because what ever our hostiles are knew this vessel would drop like a fly with no reactors on." The Op's officer reported.
Yes, The Admiral thought. "You might be right, Lieutenant. If the TITAN can move, I'm pretty sure that is the situation." The Admiral said, nodding as he watched the UNSC Destroyer move towards the Convoy at a slow pace. The Commanding Officer probably worried about the Covenant threat.
The Admiral raised the General; "General. I recommend starting to pull all our forces back. If we find the control room, I have a feeling that what ever is holding us from moving or activating our weapons will be disabled, and at this point I want to putting stuff back on this ship. I've estimated that the re-call process will be roughly three hours, so we need to start now." The Admiral said, cutting the comm channel.

(Sorry I haven't posted in a while. School and track has been keeping me pretty busy recently.) Mattie Stroud Mattie gripped his weapon with a white knuckle grip along the way, listening to the bangs of gun-fire and the sizzling sound of the return laser fire from the sentinels. Mattie didn't even bother to look up, he knew he was relatively safe surrounded by his team, and even more so with the many others that were around their vehicle. He was still anxious though. Anxious to get to the control room, and to get out of this hellhole. Anxious to get out of here alive. That was probably the thing that was more prominent in his mind at the moment, that he may die here and his body left behind, never to be buried, and soon forgotten. If he died here, no one except his parents would remember who he was, and possibly Lunar. Chances are there would probably a replacement shortly after Mattie's demise. He was expendable, he thought. Nothing more than a tool to keep the human species in existence. He was biting his lip now, so hard that his tooth punctured the flesh and drew blood. Even still, he bit down harder, not noticing the stinging pain in his lip, or the blood trail that ran down his chin. Expendable. Replaceable. That's what he was, and he doubted that any of the others disagreed. His hands relaxed a little and he slumped back in his seat in resignation. His thoughts were taking a great toll on his mind and body. He glanced out to the distance to see two sentinels hit the ground and explode. He shifted anxiously in his seat, wanting nothing more than to hurry the fuck up and get to their destination. He just wanted to leave. Alive, and in one piece.. "Blah.." he muttered quietly to himself, "worrying yourself over nothing.. like always."

Major Domo Til 'Muramee
Getting in cover quick enough to avoid the sudden beams, Til heard the fight around the corner escalating quickly. "Evasive manuevers!" He ordered to any near his position as he heard the cries of few Unggoy.
Holding his plasma rifle in hand, Til stood up and fired quick bursts at his floating foes, melting a few, and when some turned to shoot at him, he jumped and tumbled out of their paths, finding more cover.

Rakath V'keelaii
His eyes closed as the Phantom began to rattle. the gun fireing off. "Rakath, we have it. the structure is in sight and the Sentinels are all over it. They are attacking the Pelican with everything they have."
Rakath then looked tot he sides where the mounted turrets were. "Open the Turrets... I have left, MimYap, take the right."
Rakath jump on to the gun and began firing at the flying pests, letting out a long, sustained roar as he did so. Beams pelted his shields and the Pelicna around him, the Pelicans gun taking on the ones in the front.
"Rakath!" Kallmee said over the comm. "I'm going to do something stupid to get you to the top floor, hold on!" He said as he sped up the phantom and next thing Rakath knew there was the sound of shattering glass and Rakath looked down to see a dark, blue-lit tunnel. Leaping off he landed with a grunt.
"Retreat to a safe distance, I'll call you when I find the control room." Rakath said, activating his camo and vanishing from sight as he slowly moved down the halls, doing his best to avoid the stalking Sentinels.
Taking in a deep breath he slowly made his way through the halls, peeking around the corner as he softly walked up and up until...
Rakath emerged into a corridor-like room. Pods lined the walls, their contents blocking by a metal layer on the indie, under the protective glass. Rakath wondered if he really wished to know what was inside them as he made his way to the end as.
And at some points, he swore he could hear plasma fire.
Lucy Grey
"Thanks much, Jason." She said, testing the sights before resting her new weapon in her lap and putting her helmet back on.
"Heh, Jason this is just like when I first met you remember?" She asked, smiling under her helmet as she looked back at him. "But this time the twins aren't flirting with Clare and your not being a dou- oh... yeah wait that hasn't changed." and then turned her gaze to to Mattie.
"Chin up mate, we're going to make it out of here... all of us..." Her promise was hollow... But it was better than nothing.

Special Operations Officer Sorsa 'Xirsasai Sorsa growled, shooting down a gold Sentinel with a prolonged burst of fire from both plasma rifles. "Get down!" Lirm roared, lifting his Fuel Rod gun on his shoulder. He took aim, steadied his arms, then fired. Thrice. Each detonation of green material took out roughly six Sentinels each; that stemmed the Sentinel onslaught for the moment. "Til, we must hurry before more show up!" Sorsa said, helping up a Special Operator who had been knocked to the floor.

Second Lieutenant Killinger
Killinger's Warthog pulled next to the Staff Sergeant as the Convoy blew through the exit of the tunnel, "Sergeant! I'm taking the Convoy over! All of Alpha Company has been ordered to pull back!" He screamed over the noise of the Convoy, then toggles the Alpha Companies COM channel. "All Alpha Company soldiers. Return you the F.O.B once we reach the Command Center and get some boots on the ground, then head back to start loading onto the Arizona so we can get the hell outta here!" Killinger said, swapping off the comm channel.
Technically, he was ordered to go back, but Second Platoon was going to Forge ahead, activate the control center and return too the Convoy to get the fuck out of there. "ALL AIR COVER, ENGAGE THE SENTINELS, NOW!" -
Killinger's Hog pulled in front of the Convoy, officially taking the lead, and his seventeen sub-convoy following suit. The Big wall of Sentinels got nailed by bullets, missiles, shells and the sorts from both the Convoy's Machine Guns, Guass Cannons and Small Arms well getting nailed by the Air Cover present.
The next twenty minutes were more shooting, Killinger loosing two hog's and finally reaching the Control room. "All units! Were here. All none Driver soldiers get your boots inside that building, now!"
With that, Killinger hopped off his turrent, watched as an enforcer was nailed by the Vultures Missiles and come crashing toward the ground, taking a group of Sentinels with it. Out of his 40 men, 25 of them were making there way towards the large metallic building.
"Common! Move!" The Lieutenant yelled, as a series of Warthog gunners fired there weapons at a group of Sentinels.
Vice Admiral Klix
"Sir, the Convoy is at the building designated as the Control Room." The Ops Officer reported, "Good. Start the pull-back operation, I want to be ready as soon as possible. Comm's, get me all Commanding Officers on the ground."
"Channel is open, Admiral." The Comm's Officer replied. "Vice Admiral Klix to all Ground Officers, we are starting to pull-back towards the UNSCS Arizona, I want vehicles on this ship before the ground team at the control room even enter the building, lets go! Double Time!"
The Admiral cut the channel. "Weapons, provide fire support on the sentinels. Activate all Point Defense guns, I want no sentinel surviving."
"Sir, that might cause the Sentinels in space to come here..." The Ops Officer suggested, "Do you really think there will be a ground force to extract with those number of sentinels? Weapons, do it."
With that, 50 MM High Explosive rounds fired from the Arizona's Point Defense Weapons.

Sergeant Sato Takashi REVIVE-4 Control Room, Exterior
Sato stomped down on the brake and the heavy warthog skidded to a halt, far enough past the tunnel to allow the other vehicles in the convoy to pass. He cast a glance around quickly, and his monocole hud confirmed what he believed. They had indeed arrived at the control center.
There was a higher concentration of those damned flying beam-firing bastards as well. They were flying around everywhere, occupying the sky like a swarm of gnats. Sato turned off the engine and vaulted over the side of the Warthog, pausing only to take the SMG from where he had wedged it between the two front seats. He absoloutley loathed the weapon, the fact that it was silenced was it's one and only redeeming quality.
This didn't stop him from emptying an entire magazine into a Sentinel that got too close for comfort. The machine's shields flickered and flared, and a moment later it crashed to the ground in a shower of sparks.
Slapping a fresh clip into the weapon, he waited for the rest of the team to arrive by taking cover behind the rear bumper of his 'hog.

MimYapTransitioning MimYap stood straighter when Rakath spoke to him. "I will stay...but for the blood, for we have much to sift through, new friend." he said, speaking with his new found cold voice. Why you say things like that? Rakath need help, not meanie like you! mimYap spoke "Shut up, i know what i'm doing! Weakling!" he roared into his shoulder. MimYap then pulled his sword from his waist and raised the unlit item into the air, letting out a horrid screech before piling into the vehicle with the others.

Eden Lawrence
"Come now, Sato that isn't how you play the game of war!" She said as the warthog pulled up and she opened fire on the surrounding sentinels with the Heavy Warthogs HMG.
Spinning as much as she could, the Warthog not allowing her to rotated in a 360, she took down a line of the flying pests before stopping to let the gun cool.
"Sato, whats with the get-up? doesn't look too... Combat built" She said, tearing into the pests again.
Rakath V'keelaii
His new Energy Weapons gripped in his hands, the Elite stood with an over weighed amount of weaponry on him. time to lose some. Reaching to his back he removed his Plasma Repeater and tossed it to the ground, then to his hip and drew his Plasma Pistol, tossing it to the left. Leaving him with a single Grenade, his energy Knives, Energy Greatswords, Duel Plasma Rifles, and Assault Rifle on his back.
Popping his neck and fading out of camo around a corner, Rakath peered down the next hallway, making out a small platform.
Slowly moving along, the Elite looked around the area. It was an elevator. Hmm.
Moving towards the console, Rakath cautiously pressed his hand to the button and the Elevator glided smoothly down. In this time, he sheathed his swords and drew the Assault Rifle from his back.
Down down it went...
Down... Down....
Rakath sighed and sat down, waiting for the Elevator to stop and then- There.
Grunting as he pushed himself to his feet. Here he was again in a long long Corridor. Down about ten feet were two spring off hallways, then the same another ten feet.. and another...
Rakath sighed and cursed. choosing to just keep walking straight. His Human Assault Rifle up as he slowly moved before taking in a breath and starting a sustained sprint. he needed to find the control room, get to where he could be picked up, then he and his men could get the fuck off this planet.

Private First Class Daniel Mendoza ABLE Company: Fire-Team-Charlie Convoy - Location: Unknown "Private," The Tank Commander Said. "We'll group up a bit so you can get to Badger Four, in the rear. Worst hit tank, the engine's basically on fire. You got it?"Mendoza looked down to him and put the thumbs up he then stepped over the hatch, wobble a bit as he regained his balance and looked as another tank came steaming up, obviously that was Badger Four judging by the flames coming off the back, Mendoza turned his head and looked over to one of his team mates, Private Bisenti. "Oi... Bisenti... Help me with this would ya!" Bisenti nodded and picked himself up and once Badger Four was close enough Mnedoza and Bisenti jumped over to it, Mendoza went straight a head and began to climb around the main gun while Bisenti climbed on top of the gun, Mendoza looked at the flames and closed his eyes from the heat for a second before looking up at Bisenti. "Pass me my goggles" Bisenti passed down the goggles and Mendoza slipped them on as best he could with one hand before looking back down to the fire, she bit his lip and moved back to grab one of the mini fire-extinguishers Scorpions usually have attached to them, Mendoza then kicked at the back grating before it opened up at the side he then began to spray gently at the engine, to put out the flames but not to damage it any more, once the flames were out Mendoza lifted the fire extinguisher up to Bisenti who grabbed it and stowed it away. "Oi! Grab the grapple rope and tie it down then hand the end to me" "Roger" Mendoza watched Bisenti on top of the tanks main gun as he took off his bag and pulled out a grappling rope, tieing it down short on a hook on the main gun before throwing it down to Mendoza, Mendoza then hooked it to his belt and stepped around so he was on the back of the tank, he put one boot on either side of the engine and looked at it, there was nothing much wrong with it, except for a minor puncture of the fuel line which caused the fire, Mendoza opened up a pack on his webbing and took out a thick fabric sticky pad designed to stick to the leather type fuel lines that vehicles have in engines, Mendoza closed the pack and bent down, taking off one end of the patch and wrapping the first half around the puncture then the second half around the seal to make it nice and tight, he then radioed in Badger-One-One. " Badger One-One... This is Mendoza... Your boy back here is all good, just a minor fuel line puncture... Keep an eye on him" Mendoza closed the hatch to the engine bay before tidying himself up and climbing onto the main gun to un-tie himself. 1st Lieutenant Matthew Eversmann ONI Section ZERO: ORION REVIVE Convoy - Location: CONTROL ROOM Matthew slamming down on the breaks once the Convoy had stopped by the control room Matthew stepped out of the drivers seat and drew his MA37 and fired at some incoming sentinels, he then made his way up the cluster of Warthog's and APC's all the way to the front of the line in a casual walk, taking cover every now and then from the Sentinels, and once he made it to the front he stopped by the lead hog to take cover and observe the area around the Control-Center entrance. "REVIVE-1 to REVIVE 2 and 3 make your way up the convoy and re-group with me at the lead vehicle once you have finished fucking around on the MG's... REVIVE-1 out"Matthew sighed and rested his head inside the ONI-RECON Helmet against a Warthog as he did he spotted a Private behind another Warthog staring at him, probably because he was in ONI gear. "What the fuck are you staring at... FIRE YOU WEAPON!"He screamed at the Private before shooting down two sentinels with his MA37 that were getting too close. Staff Sergeant Jason 'Iceman' Bowers Task Force 77: DELTA DESTROYERS Convoy - Location: CONTROL ROOM Once Jackson had stomped on the break for the Warthog and the Warthog skidded to a halt, Jason linked up with his with Delta on the COM's and brought the Squad to attention. "Delta... Fall in on me... I am fifty meters to your six, re-group and prepare to begin a flanking mission around the Sentinels and into the Control Room... Mech Fucker... Otherwise known as Fred make you way down with the rest of the Squad and fall up on me, don't leave my sight and don't fall more than twenty meters behind without good fucking reason" Jason jumped out of the Warthog and collected his saw before taking the bag of ammo at Lucy's feet, he slipped it onto his back and smiled at her before making sure his SAW was loaded and working properly he then looked down to Lucy, smiling again before looking out at the Control room. "Care to cover my rear sweet-heart... Or shall I cover yours?" He said with a grin before leaning to the left and looking at Jackson for his reaction.

Second Lieutenant Simon Qartal "REVIVE-1 to REVIVE 2 and 3 make your way up the convoy and re-group with me at the lead vehicle once you have finished fucking around on the MG's... REVIVE-1 out.""Yes sir." Simon rolled his eyes, then grunted as he rolled to the side to avoid a ruby beam. He fired his MA5C at the hovering drone in retaliation, making its shields spark and vanish. He aimed carefully, then let out a three-round burst; the assault rifle clacked empty. The Sentinel was hit in the eye, and whirred back, confused. Simon let his MA5C drop, drew his M6Z, then fired twice at the drone. The drone exploded, hurling fiery shrapnel in a small diameter. "Love these things..." Simon muttered, holstering the revolver before reloading the MA5C.

"Agreed!" Til snarled before blasting a Sentinel out of the air with a well shot overcharged plasma bolt. "Warriors! Move forward and destroy anything in your way." He ordered. Suddenly he was grazed by a sapphire beam that boiled his energy shield and nearly his skin by the time he rolled to the side and unleashed a hail of plasma at the golden plated Sentinel. It was protected by a energy shield for a moment before its body melted and fell onto the floor in pieces.

Gunnery Sergeant Francis Hayes, Badger Two-One Badger Armored Platoon, Alpha Company, Task Force 77 UNSC Convoy inside Shield World
Hayes saw Hendrickson's tank drive up, and the Private jump onto it with another marine. They got to work on repairs, and in what seemed like no time they radioed to Marshall.
"Badger One-One... This is Mendoza... Your boy back here is all good, just a minor fuel line puncture... Keep an eye on him"
"Got it, Private," replied Marshall, "Hendrickson?" he said, addressing Badger Four's commander, "Try not to get banged up so badly this time."
"Sure thing, boss," Hendrickson replied jokingly, but Hayes could tell by his tone that he was worried. The last time Hayes had seen a tank get hit that bad...
His heart and stomach swapped places as he remembered desperately trying to save his old Gunny, who was coughing up blood on the dash...A few more seconds and Hayes would've gone down with the man in the explosion.
"Badger, we're right on the convoy's tail!" shouted Marshall, pulling Hayes away from his thoughts. Hayes noticed that they had, indeed, regrouped with the UNSC forces. Marshall had started a comm link with the Staff Sergeant when suddenly a new, unfamiliar voice came over the radio:
"All Alpha Company soldiers. Return you the F.O.B once we reach the Command Center and get some boots on the ground, then head back to start loading onto the Arizona so we can get the hell outta here!"
"Who was that, sir?" Hayes asked Marshall.
"Second Lieutenant...Killinger," replied the Badger commander, "Let's push up, Badger!"
"Oorah!" the comms resounded. A moment later, more sentinels attacked.
"Hernandez, take 'em out!" ordered Hayes, beginning to designate targets. The convoy urged ahead, attempting to minimize casualties as they advanced towards the control center. Hayes saw a warthog, flipped by an explosion, land upside down near his tank. Twenty minutes and fifty canister shells later, the convoy had reached a structure.
"All units! Were here. All non Driver soldiers get your boots inside that building, now!"
"Lieutenant," broadcasted Marshall to the new convoy leader, "I've got three tank commanders. Their drivers know what to do and can handle themselves, you want the commanders to come with you into the structure?"

Second Lieutenant Killinger Second Platoon Control Room
Killinger watched as the Warthogs dropped off there groups of soldiers, turned and headed back the way they came. A quick count had Killinger's Platoon at thirty one now, it would be enough. Thirty One Marines moving in closer combat, this was going to be easier and easier.
"El-Tee! Doors open!" Hicks yelled, raising his assault rifle as the large metal doors displaced and hissed open, "Moving now." A voice came through Second Platoons Comm channel. "Copy!" The Lieutenant replied, switched his comm to the UNSC Ground Channel. "All units, doors are open. Move in now! Air, fall back and keep hitting the sentinels, I'll radio you in when we are done so you can move in and pick us up."!
Killinger grabbed the stock of his MA5B, swung it around his shoulders and grasped the handle, placing his thump on the other side, and switched the safety off. "Hicks! Take point!" Killinger screamed.
Staff Sergeant Hicks (NPC) Second Platoon - XO Control Room
Hicks vaulted through the door, with five Marines to his right, and two Marines to his left. Not a single thing. "Second Team, right side, scan and sweep." Hicks barked. "Yes, Sarge!" A Marine responded, waived his hand and a four man Marine team split off to the right.
In the Center, a large elevator surrounded the structure. It was clear to the Staff Sergeant that it was the only thing in the room. "Lieutenant, rooms clear! Just a big elevator." - With that, Hicks stepped on, and seven other Marines did too.
Second Lieutenant Killinger Second Platoon Control Center
"Right. Second Platoon, move farward!" The Lieutenant screamed, as the rest of the Marines who were firing at sentinels outside moved there way forward, and disappeared from view, as all of them stepped onto the platform.
Killinger walked over to the console controls, tapped the holographic button and the lift descended. It started quick, but then finally slowed down. On the way down, his comm unit etched to life.
"Lieutenant," A soldier said, Killinger's eye piece picking up the voice as a "MARSHALL", and remembered that it was the Commanding Officer of the tank group, "I've got three tank commanders. Their drivers know what to do and can handle themselves, you want the commanders to come with you into the structure?
Killinger switched his Comm over, and replied to Marshall, "Negative, we are already on our way down. Just soften up the sentinels with the air cover!
--------------
As the lift slowed, revealed another massive room below, Killinger simply sighed. It was going to be harder then he imagined if the UNSC had to comb the entire structure for a single room. Or is there more? Killinger though, and the lift slammed into a halt.
Hicks was the first one off, followed closely by Killinger and finally the rest of the ground team. The room was empty, but the compartment next was not. "Ground team, elevator is on the way back up."
Staff Sergeant Hicks Second Platoon - XO Inside Control Center
"Fire you damn gun, Private!" Hicks screamed at a Private that just stood, almost like he was shell shocked, he quickly snapped out of it, pulled his weapons trigger. As a result, a sentinel skidded along the floor at the bottom, exploded and finally powered down as the red "Eye" at the center turned into a small circle.
A marine got nailed by the red lasers, dropped to the floor to the right of the Staff Sergeant. Hicks was pissed, fired his weapon and the forty round automatic resulted in two sharp explosions as sentinels stuttered to the ground, the spent brass casing rippled in the blood of the dead Marine.
"Second, Third and Fourth squads, move up!" Hicks shouted.

Rakath V'keelaii
Moving slowly down the hallway, Rakath cam to what looked like a maintenance bridge going over what, from what Rakath could see, to be a large room. His feet slowly landing on the ground as he moved, Assault Rifle in hand as he inched across.
that was when an elevator came down, Looking Down as an Elevator landed...
Humans... Hmm. He knew they would not trust him in any way, so it seemed he would have to appeal to their command. Clicking on his comm, Rakath spoke over the the Arizona once more. "I hate to harass you, but I have an angry mod of Marines under me and I would like them not to tear me to confetti." Rakath said as he dropped off the thin walkway when the Marines moved on, slowly making their way towards them

Second Lieutenant Killinger Second Platoon Under Control Center
"Understood, Admiral." The Lieutenant said, switching off his Comm channel. The Admiral gave a code to a "Heretic" elite, added the code to his platoons channel, and spoke, "All second platoon soldiers, we've got a friendly elite somewhere. Our FoF tags have been updated. I find anyone shooting at this elite I'll shoot you myself. Elite, what is your name?" Killinger spoke.
The group looked un-easy with the announcement, and many marines looked over towards the Lieutenant. It wasn't going to be easy for leather necks to keep there finger off the trigger when an elite walks there way, and it was Special Op's elite too, even more worrying.
Staff Sergeant Hicks nodded, told his men to continue.
Staff Sergeant Hicks Second Platoon - XO Under Control Center
The Sergeant handed the lieutenant a crisp nod, turned towards the squads he had just ordered to move and yelled at them again, "I told you to get your asses moving!"
The three squads turned and started to run towards there objective, it was either listen to the Staff Sergeant, or feel the wrath of a Covenant Elite, or rather.. UNSC Elite. The idea was strange, very strange.
The Sergeant slammed his back on the wall next to the door, waived his hand in front of it, and somehow it opened. "Move!" The Sergeant exclaimed, as a Private went in first, followed by the Sergeant then the two Corporals he was leading.
The next room was even more empty, nothing but four pillars and another level above. The team moved quickly, fast and efficiently, but still no sign of the friendly elite, but there were more doors, this time on all four sides.
The only door that was green with on the arbitrary "N" on the Staff Sergeant's helmet eye piece. He stacked to fingers together, pointed them towards the door and his entire squad stacked up. All the Sergeant had to do was walk forward and the door, and two sentinels burst out from hiding.
The first Sentinel nailed the Private and nailed his head, dropping dead before he could even tell about the contact. The Staff Sergeant turned, as did the two corporals, before the sentinels were blown up by two HE frag grenades.
Above, on the landing higher was a fire-team of five marines, on of the Lieutenants primary squads. "Hey, you see anything up there!" Hicks asked, "No, nothing. All locked. Regrouping with the El-Tee now" The Marine FT Leader replied, went through the open door.
Hicks nodded, pulled the dogtags off the dead private, and moved on, through the door and out into an almost empty room, but this was was very large, and had an incline in the middle. Covenant blood soaked the floor, and a pile of four grunts lay beside a staircase leading up onto the next landing above.
"Move!" He said, as the two Corporal's moved up, and both fell dead. "Mother of god!" Hicks said, as the sentinel people started calling "Enforcers" killed the two marines, and Hicks fired his Assault Rifle into the shields of the massive sentinel.
Just then, trio's of bullets from the landing above and a few rockets slammed into the Sentinel, as it's forward shield failed, the arm clattered to the ground crushing the two dead Corporal's and finally exploded as four rockets slammed into the massive thing, finally exploding and crashing to the floor.
The Sergeant signed, and a team of twelve hopped down from the landing above in a roll. "Thank you, boys."
Second Lieutenant Killinger Second Platoon Under Control Center
The Lieutenant watched as the Flaming bitch crashed to the ground, lowered the rocket launcher he took from a Marine and handed it back.
They had just saved his platoon Sergeant, but the Lieutenant knew time was short. "Fifth and Sixth squad, right side. that door over there is open!" The Lieutenant screamed, gave a quick nod to his Platoon Sergeant and ran over towards the door.
The door parted ways, and inside it was a large walk way that split and made a circle, in the middle a large planet stood, projecting images of both the UNSC and the Covenant, as red targets. Hostiles?
"All units, we've found the control room. Repeat, all units.. We've found the control room." The Lieutenant said, as he switched off his Comm channel.
"Wow.." The Lieutenant commented on the size of the room, even he was impressed. The world it's self had every single detail, from the Arizona, to the last ounce of dirt that the battle had moved.
Very impressive, "Second Platoon, regroup on me!" The Lieutenant quickly said into the 2P Comm Channel.
The other sides of the room had more walk ways, and three doors connected the control room to the rest of the building. It only signified that the building the marines were in was massive.

Rakath V'keelaii
"My name, is Rakath V'keelaii, Human." He said, his large body appearing behind the marines, covered in the blood of others from his race with and Assault Rifle in hand.
"If you are uncomfortable with me walking behind your me, I can take point." He said as he walked. Keeping an eye on the Marines aiming their weapons at the large Elite.
He simply grunted and kept walking. On came the enforcer, Rakath threw down his assault rifle and his plasma repeaters were drawn. It stood no chance to the combined firepower of the Marines and himself it seemed. Sheathing his Repeaters he bent down and sealed his hands on his Assault rifle before setting it on his back and drawing his Revolver as he walked with the Marines into the control room.
"By the Gods..." He muttered, slowly walking as he made his way through the room with the Marines he walked past a variety of Holographic terminals. "Human. you will need to activate these." Rakath said looking back at the Lietenant. "The Covenant have tried before, they have failed most of the time." He said, looking at the Marines once again before slowly wandering away through the room.
Amazing...
Lucy Grey
"We'll watch your six." She said, Jackson made a huffing noise and she simply reached up and smacked him in the side of the helmet before leaping out and popping her neck, lifting the SCAR and aiming down the sights. Mowing down a single flying robot before checking over it.
"I should grab one of these every time..." She said before looking over at Jason and saying "Who's Mech Fucker?"
REVIVE ACTUAL
Pressing on her COMM she spoke to each of REVIVE. "REVIVE Team, you currently have no standing orders. Link up together or move alone, Weapons Free, Gloves off... Have a blast and come back in one place for ONI brief."
Eden Lawrence
"So... Weapons Free." She thought for a moment before going to the COMM. "I call Sato!" She said, mowing down another few of the spiders and leaping off, her M6C going up in one hand as she shot down a few more.
And then up came the small B9 pistol. Holding the both in one hand to kill one more before putting the B9 away and reloading her M6C.
"So, Sato... Im bored..."
Fredrick Johns
When Jason came over the comm Fred was already laughing at his new nickname.
"Da, Mechfucker huh? coming from the Drop Pod Sucker." He said, commenting on Lucy before popping his neck and pushing himself out of the Warthog and moving towards Jason's position.

Second Lieutenant Killinger Second Platoon inside control room
"If you say so.. Rakath." The Officer said, as he took of his glove and touched the panel on one of the devices. The holographic panel lit up, and it was a large creature, humanoid, teaching about something.
The view switched outside, and letters appeared from the base of the planet... The same planet they were on. It was a recording, then the voice came on, switched to English, and continued. "These planets were built in an attempt to save life after the rings fire..." - That was all the terminal could say before Killinger touched it again, turning it off.
"Well, this one looked like an info terminal, how about the one in the very middle, by the planet itself." Killinger said, and put his hand in his helmet. Of course! It would be it.
Killinger ran towards the end of the room, where the large circle around it started. Three stations were on this, one of them had to de-activate the controls. Killinger reached in, his hand went through the holographic display, and loud clinking sounds exposed from all sides, and it made Killinger's ears sting for a short second.
Then, radio traffic flooded his ear piece, getting reports of the Arizona falling towards the surface, sentinels crashing to the ground and even the large exits opening and exposing the space outside of the planet, it worked.
"Fucking right boys! We're home free!" Killinger yelled, but a louder noise, slimy, like something was moving behind the walls threw him off guard, then another report came in, of a new contact coming out of holes by the control room.
That's when a Marine outside the door screamed, some gun fire ensued and finally ceased, by the time the Lieutenant and his fifteen Marines got to the large door, only blood stained floors, assault rifles, handguns and spent brass remained, where did the bodies go?
Vice Admiral Klix UNSCS Arizona Inside Shield World
"ADMIRAL, we are free, falling towards the surface!" The Navigator Officer yelled, his voice stopping all the hands as most of the crew went into shock, looking outside the main view port as the ground came closer and closer.
"Fire all reactors, get our engines going! Maneuvering thrusters to station keeping, Comm's, relay a message to the ground teams to accelerate pulling back, and do it now!" The Admiral ordered as a response, the the bridge crew snapped to work. Series of conversations flew off the hooks.
The Arizona pulled upwards, the deck shook as the reactors were pushed to one hundred and five percent, and finally started to move upwards, "We are off sir!" The Navigation Officer informed, "Good..." The Admiral replied.
In the background, the engineering officer was giving orders for people to increase the reactor four's output, as it was still damaged.
Comm's was giving orders to the ground teams to pull back onto the ARIZONA ASAP and the Navigator was busy flying the ship, as was the Weapons officer, except he was firing at the Sentinels with the Arizona's Point Defense Guns.

[Inside the Planet: Corporal Murray‘s Escort of the Wounded: Master Sergeant Mark “Spade“ Sorelson]
The wind from the west swept across the plain of sand lifting fine sand particles from the desert floor making the arid air even more unbearable. The column of black smoke from the mangled warthog, one among many strewn across the desert floor carried by the wind arced to the east bisecting the trodden path left as further evidence of the convoy’s passing.
* * * * * *
The sterile tile lay cold beneath the pillow as he stirred from slumber only to be greeted by the face off a woman he hadn’t set eyes on in nearly five years since his last shore leave to Earth, and by looking into those eyes missed her even more. The woman knelt over him blocking the light from the office’s overhead light fixture, with a smile only a mother would have. The woman’s white lab coat reflected her chosen path, and the name stenciled on the name tag read Dr. Jenna Sorelson Ph.d.
“Why are you on the floor, Mark? Wouldn’t a bed have been more comfortable?” she asked.
“It would have, but the floor forces me to wake up,” Mark replied.
“My clever boy,” she said, with a smile. “Now, let’s get some breakfast. Come on, get up,”
“I’ll be right behind you,” Mark replied, managing to get to his feet.
* * * * * *
“I’ll be right behind you…” Master Sergeant Mark “Spade” Sorelson muttered softly, as he slowly came to. Weakly trying to sit up, his body screamed in protest and his arms buckled sending him back onto the bed of the warthog.
“Finally awake, Master Sergeant? Take it easy,…you’ve taken a beating,” a Lance Corporal said, a Corpsman said. The marine Corpsman in the standard issued ballistics armor sat next to the injured Master Sergeant with an open med-kit nearby, while Mark lay on his backside. Slowly craning his head or at least as much as his sore neck allowed, Mark found he shared the back of the open-air bed of an M831 Troop Transport variant of the warthog with four other armed marines. Trying to resist closing his eyes, Mark had to guess the Corpsman had given him a sedative or two against the pain although as he lapsed into unconsciousness the Master Sergeant overheard the Corpsman speaking to the driver of the vehicle.
“Corporal Murray to Arizona Control. We’re en-route back to the barn with a few vehicles in tow of the wounded, and recommend medical teams on standby. We have a few troopers that require immediate medical attention, and one Master Sergeant Sorelson. We recovered him from a wrecked warthog, and the Corpsman tells me he may lose an arm. Over;” Corporal Murray, of the squad escorting the wounded from the Convoy back to the Arizona called in to the heavy cruiser.
The group of vehicles loaded with wounded troopers had fallen back from the Control Room after receiving the call from the Arizona, and had been tasked in finding survivors from the burning vehicles littered along the way. The HUD on the Corporal’s helmet had detected the steady IFF from Master Sergeant Sorelson’s transponder, but after a quick search of the twisted warthog near the Marine NCO had resulted in only one survivor. Carefully, the uninjured marines had loaded the unconscious Master Sergeant on a stretcher before loading him into the transport and had continued on their way. The squad’s Corpsman, a Lance Corporal, had broken out his med-kit to treat the more obvious of the Master Sergeant’s injuries from the mild concussion to the shattered left arm and a few lacerations from the violent encounter.

Rakath V'keelaii
"Well that did something." Rakath said, reaching up and speaking to his team. "Kallmee, circle the structure, I'm on my way out." He looked to the humans and crossed his arms in an X before bowing and turning, he stopped as a noise erupted from the door, blasting open a horde of beasts crawled their way across the floor.
"By the Gods..." Rakath said, Assault Rifle up as he began firing and backing up.
His rifle went to his back, and his Revolver up as he began firing at the Flood with explosive rounds. He was not going to die here, and neither were the Marines.
As one of the smaller ones leaped up at a Marine standing next to him, his energy knife lit and he brought it up and a moment later, with a splash of green blood the small parasite split in half.
"We must move!"

"We must move!" The elite, who had just saved a Marine yelled, "Agreed! We are not to far from the elevator that way, if you would follow me, we'd be able to get surface faster!" Killinger responded, on that note he readied his assault rifle, pulled a trigger as a trio of four bullets cut to of the small pods into pieces.
"They are really fragile.." A Marine commented, before the Staff Sergeant cut him down, and moved through the door that had a pile of blood. Shockingly, the Lieutenant didn't feel worried about choosing this exit, because Hicks left the room, fired at a target and watched a Sentinel fall to the ground.
The bodies? Well they were found dead at the exit hatch, and there guns were out of ammunition so the Lieutenant assumed they were running away, in an attempt to get some ground. But what DIDN'T make sense, is why they abandoned there primary weapons.
The Sergeant rounded the corner, the door hissed open and walked in carefully, realizing the danger that could be around the corners. But, nothing. And the way to the Elevator was hectic, but the Lieutenant didn't lose any men, but the last room was filled with the creatures. Really. One more room to go and we FINALLY find these things. The Lieutenant thought.
The fifteen marines, versus about.. Hell, to many to even estimate of those little balloon creature things. They didn't really seem hostile, but the Elite fired on them, which means that the UNSC should too.
"Open fire!" The Lieutenant screamed, and the fourteen other marines opened up with there weapons on a massive horde approaching there location, "Make your way towards the elevator room!" Hicks screamed, leading a group of seven marines to the right, continually firing towards the crowd of soldiers.
It wouldn't last long though, as more soldiers began to fall and panic because of it. By the time the entire squad reached the elevator door, only a few marines remained, the rest scattered all over the room, dying or already dead.
Only seven marines remained after about two minutes of combat, his three Sergeants, two Corporals and a private and himself. The hatch opened and the small, seven man team went into the hatch, and were greeted by the rest of second platoon that were assigned to guard it, "Sir, you won't believe what's been attacking us!" On the the Corporals said.
"Oh trust me, I do, I do..." The Lieutenant replied, hurried onto the elevator and waiting until the rest of his team were on. He'd lost, on his counts fifteen good men down here, out of the thirty one they came with. Almost fifty percent, the number didn't really make the Lieutenant feel good.
What was worst is that the Lieutenant lost a good number of those men against such a fragile target, and this thought made him more angry, wasting thirty rounds on three or four of those balloon things.
He wasn't going to die today, he was going to live to get payback for his men that had died, what was worse, they didn't even get the dog-tags.
