OOC Thread Episode IV: A New Hope

Yeah I wasn't sure. All I know is it's only been a couple days since I last logged on, and everything seemed to be going fine then, and now all the sudden a bunch of posts are gone. :P

From when I last posted, my character had been in the process of maneuvering some of the Marines against the Elites, but no one had tried to go toe-to-toe with the three Covies yet. That's why I'm confused.

it was all the other platoon ironicly those ofu s in yours were thinking liek you, anyways also tohugh I think ech platoon has armored support I'll double check but if so might weanna use those too to help form a peincer movement with theo ther armore force under prides command.

oh no they diditn jsut run itno a group they ran head long into the entire enemy coutner attack force.

Oh. That's...kinda silly. But why did so many other people's posts get taken down too then? Are we not supposed to engage at all yet?

it was that thsoe who were delted all follwoed this and were about to die being at point blank range with a zealot and it's lance. Basically we are able to shoot but we are about ten minutes away from that sort of range and before we od more than send soem rounds and rockets down range we are suppost to wait for abroads reply post to see the damage our ranged shots had and what they do. Basically it was to make it so a whole platoon didint die outright. Elites do not usualy lose in one on one with marines. A squad of marines can fight a green elite recruit in hand to hand and maybe coem out on top. A zealot with years of combat experience against a squad of mariens is going to murder them in hand to hand.

That all makes sense in the scenario you're describing. Initially I thought it was the Elites some of the players in my character's company had found; that's why I was like, I thought the force we had fighting against them was reasonable enough. And none of us tried to go hand-to-hand (at least, not that I read).

I get it now, though, so it's all good. Basically we're starting over with the assault.

Well, unfortunately Martial, some people did actually specify that a group of Grunts/Elites was...RIGHT IN YOUR FACES, and in CQC range.

Sorry to all for stalling the ODST thread. My computer committed suicide over the weekend (hard drive crashed) but now it's finally fixed! So I'll get started on a post soon. :D

Amry I don't think so but maybe later i jsut knwo they are elsewhere on another landing zone. marines and ODSTs i think will but I'd say the staff can clarify that better.

Eventually Marines and ODSTs will combine for this part of the operation.

daezen921, please don't use red colouring in posts. If staff edit or wish to get your attention, this is often the colour they use.

For quoting other characters, most people just use yellow. There's no need to rainbow it up too much.
