Huka was furious and bored, thus he created this in a vivid thread to vent and finally show off his undoubtedly snowflake of a personae. Enjoy readers, might make a continuation of this thread or even flesh it out to a story. Please leave comments if you like.
Virus Containment Field Zeta [Community Sector 5-C], Capitol City
Yappa
Translocating into one of the secured area through Yappa’s network grid, Moderator Huka dropped heavily after complete configuration. Appearing into the offensive for the first time since the viral cleansing of his sanctuary’s last age, the massive near 11’ foot tall Sangheili wore his Warrior-Servant combat skin with great familiarity and from the scars of his bare face said he wasn’t new to violence…or he had some accidents with Yappa’s history and Covenant military development.
His bicolored eyes of scarlet and pale gold glared at the platoon of discovered foes; Synthetics with humanoid shells-with the exception of 4 spider-legged tanks-and plasma-based technology. They were the Corruptors, the instigators of the last virus that infected Yappa’s systems until the world’s leaders and him-as a Writer of the Library chronicling and scribe of the Overseer-cleansed it. Today, they desire the same malicious intent. Today he refused to allow it and this time, far more aggressive since the losing of his vital information on a ‘Jiralhanae Captain Valerius’.
While he was often one of the calmer members of the world’s population, certain actions do get under his tough skin, and losing precious information is one of them.
When the Corruptors recognize him, their flexible heads fanned out, and spoke in a electrical language of scrambled numbers that was gibberish to his ears. He was aware that his more scientific-savvy comrades could possibly decipher it easier, but he wasn’t ashamed to use his Ancilla to translate. “MODERATOR HUKA ‘HUMAMAI HAVE ENTERED THE AREA, HIGH AGGRESSION. REVIEWING PREVIOUS RECORDS OF SUBJECT, CALCULATING CHANCE OF VICTORY…10%.”
“You know your chances,” The heavy-eyed Moderator said in a soft-toned Sangheili, his tusked mandibles moved to deliver a more clicking and outwordly dialect. “That is good, now you will know the physical experience.” With that, his skeletal helmet pulled over his head and eye-visors flashed sage green, and threw his hand out.
The front Corruptor ranks lifted their weapons but were immediately imprisoned in flickering constraint fields. With a couple simple gestures, the fields crushed them like cans and flung them into their fellows like cannonballs, crippling and maiming.
Taking the distraction, Huka flicked his left wrist to summon his basket-guarded energy sword, and charged with heavy steps of aggression. “TARGET INCOMING, FIRING MAIN CANNONS!” The tank quadrupeds alarmed before their central eyes collected particles. The back of the Mod’s cuirass opened and flared wings of energy, sending him flying into the air over a couple high-powered bolts sliced the air, capable of devastating a crèche formation. Their secondary turrets moved up and fired but Huka’s powerful shields rebuked the energy bolts enough to come slicing one tank’s ‘head’ in half through the middle and slide the blade around its long neck.
Letting an electric scream, the tank exploded and its body collapsed with sparks and plasma leaks. Landing on the crumbling shell, Huka flipped over and spun in a calculated rotation, deflecting bolts in random direction, and landed on the beetle-like back of the closer tank with a imprint. Immediately, it started to stomp around and buck, trying to dismount the Sangheili.
Huka kept incredible balance before turning and slicing his blade through its thick neck of armor and wire. Dashing away on his wings before its head slid off and body exploded from a cut off exit for its plasma coils. The added inertia made him fly more towards the small unit of soldiers. Using it to his advantage, Huka blackflipped and sliced one soldier’s legs off its knees as he slid backwards with sparks from his taloned boots. Spinning his body in a upward arc, he cleaved two more and kicked a third hard enough to send the body flying with a deeply crushed chest and processor. As each unit ‘died’, they seemed to get dumber and dumber; noticeable with their lack of efficient tactic to defeat a surrounded opponent.
Attacking the soldiers in close quarters was suicidal on their end, the elite warrior struck with lightning-fast moves of fluid swordsmanship and martial arts. Impaling one with his sword and impaling another with his armored fingers, Huka roared and slammed the two together, breaking them apart with pure strength.
Bucking from a controlled burst of plasma to his back, the Mod’s shields were drained by barely a quarter before he spun with a crushing drop-kick, sending the soldier’s upper body into the street floor. Breathing heavily from excitement as his armor cooled his scaled body, Huka felt the exhilarated thrill of battle. Looking to the side, the remaining two tanks stood dumbly as their bolts were charging, their basic protocol keeping from firing amongst standard units in fear of friendly fire.
Dismissing his sword, the Moderator thrusted both hands out and caught them in two constraint fields. Chuckling, he slowly curled his fingers and watched as the fields closed in around the tanks, crushing their armor, their weapons still charging. Turning his hands, he uplifted them both into the air towards the ceiling of the dome that prevented the Virus from escaping into Yappa’s main populace.
Enjoying the power for a moment before separating the two several meters from each other. “Then…boom.” He said and sent the tanks spiraling into each other at train speed, cutting off their fields at the last second for proper effect. Looking at the azure sun and falling sparks, Huka felt peaceful for a moment. That was the effect of Yappa, violence was a inherit joy for its members and manifested one way or another.
“Legion-sized unit coming a kilometer from the east, Moderator.” His ancilla warned and the Sangheili looked to the side, certainly seeing the several hundred strong. “I see them, Lost. Shame really…”
“Why is that?” Lost questioned with that inquisitive tone most A.I. have.
Summoning his energy sword and its twin, Huka flicked his wrist to disintegrate a sniper round through his plasma blade after his HUD tracked it precisely. “They should have brought more.” With a gentlemanly salute, he charged with a warcry as his Jiralhanae-like adrenaline excited his body and armor systems to unleash a Beast of War.
