Reminder

(What to expect on this 'frozen' planet)

Thick snow - As a colder planet, the snow is often quite thick. Not thick enough to stop humans, or Covenant, from moving through it but the thickness is consistent, meaning it will take a lot of effort to clear off areas that hadn't been cleared before.

Weather - It's often below the freezing point... Better have packed heavy.

Local Wildlife - Wildlife has adapted to the environment. Creatures, predator or not, nearly blend in with the white covered landfall of this planet.


Plot

"We've been left behind, folks. Nothing we can do about it now but try to survive."

The UNSC Navy deployed the UNSCS Iowa, a Marathon II Super-Heavy Guided Missile Cruiser, to a planet that was suspected to be hit by a Covenant invasion. The planets civilian population numbered in the tens of thousands, despite being a rather cold environment. The UNSCS Iowa was loaded with the civilians from the planet and slip-spaced back to Reach, leaving the UNSC ground troops by themselves for nearly a month as the journey to Reach and back wasn't a short one - but there was no other way.

However not everything went as expected... before the planets population was evacuated a 'CCS Class BattleCruiser' appeared on the edge of system space, likely scouting. The UNSCS Iowa, being the only vessel in proximity able to engage, attempted too. The BattleCruiser jumped precisely near the planets gravity well and deployed ground troops towards the planet after sustaining critical damage from a few 'lucky' MAC rounds from the UNSCS Iowa moments after it reappeared into normal space.

The Iowa, after loading the planets population, was unable to accommodate the rest of the UNSC ground-forces planet-side. That left just over a company on the planets cold surface, fighting the Covenant within the city. The UNSCS Iowa jumped away on September 19th, 2547 and would return October 11th, 2547.

It's up to the battalion to survive that long, within or outside the city...

I want to make this an interactive mission where the environment, weather, snow and such actually play a part in the RP rather then just 'I go and kill humans/covenant' stereotypical RP. There will be blizzards, white-outs, and such in the upcoming mission, if it's approved by the staff.

I just decided to make this so that we could get a idea of where everything was...Green dots means UNSC, just used everyones posts to try and figure it all out.

Yeam I am sorry... But that isn't accurate at all, there aren't that many UNSC people there, and no one has taken a single casualty except for Dash's Private who walked into a UNSC tripwire.

In in the general vicinity there is only about nine UNSC forces, four of them are hiding in a car park behind a car from enemy fire which is actually on the side of the church, not sure what Kill's Colonel is doing, and Dash and her ODST's are storming a building which I am pretty sure is not that close to the church.

EDIT: I don't meant to be rude, but this map is probably a bit more accurate, judging from the posts of me, Kill and Tin, as well as Dash, a larger area being from my posts due to me explaining a tiny bit more of the outside as my Private ran and bounced about.
