Right my fellow, ah, plotters of all variations, this is where the general plotting stuff for the Spartan Ops episodes will take place.
So, Huka and I have been discussing plans for the episodes, rather intently all day. Let me summarize everything...
Basically, for Episode 1, we're going to have a socialization part when the Spartans come aboard Infinity and get suited up for War Games. Then, we're gonna do a PvE Team Slayer match to get everyone into the flow of using a Spartan.
Episode 2 is an assault on a large Storm stronghold. Destroying it will cripple the Storm's progress in that region, allowing the UNSC a better toehold so they can better fight the Storm and Prometheans. Uro, Rakal, and Hruun will be killed during this episode, with Bako barely managing to escape.
Episode 3 will be a Flood-oriented part. Let me explain: a Storm sabotage team causes an outbreak to occur on one of the research stations on Installation 05. Due to lockdown protocol, the Flood won't be able to leave, and the Storm will head to the second research station that's in orbit above the Halo's surface. Before they can fully sabotage the second station, Marathon Platoon comes in and destroys them, then has to contain the Flood outbreak. There will be Infection Forms, Pure Flood, and Infected Spartans, OH MY! Still, it will be short, and not more than a fun little detour from the rest of the "Season". Also, the Storm's reasons for doing this are basically that they don't want filthy heretical humans to be on the Sacred Rings any longer. Nyre will have tipped off the UNSC to the Storm sabotage team's mission, which prompts Marathon to be sent in; he does this because he believes that releasing the Flood, even on humanity, is too far of a step for the Storm to take.
Episode 4 is an assignment to raid a major Forerunner weapon and supplies depot on Requiem. There will be fierce Promethean resistance with Storm support. By doing this, the Promethean forces will have less weaponry and supplies, and so they would slow in their efforts and buckle more easily in their defenses, plus the Infinity gets more weapons and Forerunner tech out of it.
Episode 5 reveals that the Storm are hunting for an artifact that is rumored to be so powerful, they can use it to great effect against the UNSC, crushing them like insects. Marathon will be sent in to stop them from retrieving the artifact, but the Storm will prevail in the end. In Episode 6, the nature of the mysterious artifact will be revealed.
In Episode 6, we will see the emergence of an ancient San 'Shyuum who was imprisoned on Requiem for questioning about the Flood. He will go rogue once accidentally released by a Storm science team investigating an artifact, and hack into a company of Prometheans to protect him while he goes after...some distant goal, likely one that involves him getting far away from Requiem and the Didact. At the end, when Marathon force him to surrender and are about to bring him in for questioning, he is inexplicably sniped and killed by a figure the same size as the Didact himself, but who is quite obviously different. He then puts the stolen Prometheans back under the Didact's command, then forces Marathon to fall back while he teleports away.
In Episode 7, this new Sub-Commander of the Prometheans is causing hell for the Infinity's forces. The Spartans have to travel to a secluded part of Requiem in search of something that can help turn the tide, and after fighting through countless Storm-Promethean forces, they find an ancient Promethean Warrior-Servant who tells them how he was imprisoned by the Didact and the Centurion many years ago when he sought to stop them from Composing the entire human race. The newly awakened Revanchist also tells the humans of his origins, which reveal that both he and the Centurion are actually early prototype Knights who were Composed and put into their current bodies during the Forerunner-Flood war. He then starts helping the science geeks on Infinity with ways to halt the Centurion's devastating assaults. Bako will be killed trying to prevent Marathon from reaching the Revanchist's location.
Episode 8 will be Marathon tracking down the Storm Courier; with him dead, the last of Ronan's major supporters will be gone, leaving the Zealot's forces open for a major assault. It is revealed that the Storm Courier is, in fact, Til 'Muramai, ex-member of Reticent Lance. He is spying on the Storm and feeding information to both the UNSC and Thel 'Vadam. Along with this revelation, Nyre declares his betrayal of Ronan and pledges his allegiance to Til.
Episode 9 is Marathon's assault on a leading Storm Zealot called Ronan 'Telcam, and they are assisted in their efforts by members of those Sangheili loyal to Thel 'Vadam, notably two former members of the legendary Reticent Lance leading a small fleet that will provide the Spartans with an opening through which to strike. With Ronan killed, Storm support for the Centurion will be minimal, with their organization in disarray, making it easier during the final assault on the Promethean Sub-Commander.
Episode 10 sees Marathon go toe to toe with the Centurion's forces, and with the Revanchist's help, are able to subvert many of the Centurion's Prometheans and cause them to run rampant, attacking and destroying everyone and everything in their path. As Marathon Platoon races towards their objective, they must contend with extremely angry Prometheans and Storm forces, engaged in a vicious battle which may prevent them from reaching the Centurion in time before he can escape.

Huka's Covenant Remnant (Storm) Antagonists:
Zealot Ronan 'Telcam-
A powerful Zealot and Servant of Abiding Truth, Ronan 'Telcam is a fellow clansman of Avu Med 'Telcam and lieutenant of Jul 'Mdama. The commander of several operations in impending the UNSC forces, Ronan commands an presence of fear and respect amongst his peers for his ruthless glassing on UNSC forces despite the presence of Covenant warriors still on the planning and the executing the Faithless without a second thought.
Few question his sanity and those who do as swiftly killed. Even Jul is wary of this psychopath and is on his guard in case of the mad Templar turn his blade on him.
Warrior Bako 'Konar-
One of Ronan's faithful lieutenants, a religiously-driven Storm Warrior who is a veteran of the Covenant's war against the humans and bear a deep hate for the lose of his brothers during the course of the war. Violent and cruel, Bako is infamous for leaving his victims piked for all to see. Commanding the Sect of Sacrifical Wrath, the Warrior is a enemy to fear and never turn your back on.
Warrior Nyre 'Bandol-
Ronan's other lieutenant, more calm-minded and reasonable than Bako or even Ronan, Nyre 'Bandol is a respectable Storm Warrior who, despite his respect of the humans and their aid against the traitorous San'Shyuum, is willing to fight them to preserve the religion of the Forerunners. A skilled swordsman and commander, he hides his disdain of Ronan's brutality with an outward show of respect. Commandeering the Sect of Humble Faith, he operates in retrieving Forerunner artifacts and keeping the humans occupied.
Warrior Uro 'Adant-
The Warrior known as Uro 'Adant works closely with his like-minded friend, Bako. He is quite pensive and almost lethargic, belying his fierce rage. He prays and meditates often. When an underling fails in a task, he punishes them, and if he deems their failure large enough, he feeds the unfortunate to his small pack of somewhat domesticated Moonbeasts, which he brought from his homeworld of Templar's Rest. He has an almost feral appearance to him, the bright war paint he puts on his armor adding to the effect along with many trophies.
Commander Rakal 'Wharan-
Commander Rakal 'Wharan is a fierce Storm soldier. He is a brute of a Sangheili, who developed considerable physical skills during his incarceration in a Covenant maximum security prison. He isn't very intelligent, but his faith is strong and his hatred towards humanity is unwavering. He prefers straight up, brutal tactics with no subtlety whatsoever. He wields a massive gravity hammer to great effect as his primary weapon.
Commander Hruun 'Rtova-
A Storm Commander under Bako 'Konar, Hruun 'Rtova is a fierce and fanatic warrior who view Humans as pretenders to the True Reclaimer title, who may still be in the immense galaxy, unfounded yet. Vivid of this belief, he and his creche seek to kill humans as often as possible. He is a dangerous target that possibly only the SPARTAN-IVs can handle.
Storm Courier-
A mysterious Sangheili who is only seen wearing the helmet of an Ascetic warrior-priest and a hooded robe, codenamed 'Storm Courier' by ONI intel. Appearing during important events for the Storms' operations, delievering messages personally from Jul or Ronan, it is rare to see him on the field. Any UNSC forces, or even SPARTAN-IVs, who try to detain him is often disarmed and unconscious, only rarely dead.
The Plan:
Organized by Zealot Ronan 'Telcam, the Plan consist of finding an ancient Forerunner relic that would prove vital in the Jul's plan of destroying the Humans. Said to possess the power to bring the Didact's enemies to their knees, the relic will prove the key to the Covenant Remnants' victory. However, the irony of this relic will be more cruel than the Great Journey itself.
Artifact=A prehistoric San'Shyuum general from the human-Forerunner war who was kept imprisoned and interrogated by the Didact to help find ways of battling the Flood in its arrival eons ago. When freed, the Storm soldiers who unlocked the general tried to kill him but were overcome by the surprisingly powerful San'Shyuum, revealing his name to be the Warchief of Retribution (Name and title undecided yet). He hijacks a company of Prometheans and hightails it away from the Storm, and starts scheming on how to escape Requiem.
Spartan999: Mm.
Spartan999: also, installation 05 still has Flood on it.
Spartan999: It was almost completely overrun.
Spartan999: So, that will be where the Flood episode happens.
Huka: Hopefully no one will be a idiot to bring the Parasite aboard.
Spartan999: Heh.
Spartan999: Storm sabotage to wipe out the research station.
Huka: *doubts the logics of higher up ONI personnel*
Arbiter124: As for the flood idea, aren't the Prometheans their enemies?
Huka: yes
Spartan999: Yeah. So?
Spartan999: Doesn't exclude using them to vicariously kill your enemies with no risk of them getting off the ring.
Arbiter124: Truthfully, I know nothing about the prometheans, but wouldn't it be cool to fight alongside them?>
Arbiter124: Kinda' like the end of the covenant in Halo 3.
Huka: Prometheans are the elite of the Forerunner warrior class.
Arbiter124: I understand that.
Arbiter124: So wouldn't it be fun?
Spartan999: Due to lockdown procedures in case the Flood infiltrate, all driveable ships are destroyed.
Huka: We probably will by the end of Halo Reclaimer trilogy
Spartan999: Prompting our team to be sent in, purge the place, and recover crucial data before blowing the place to hell.
Huka: Excellent
Spartan999: The other research station on 05 will be fine, since the sabotage lance was caught and killed, but not before the damage was done.
Huka: Starting up another Flood-infestation.
Spartan999: Yesh.
Spartan999: BUT, they won't be the main focus.
Spartan999: I don't want to do that, and no one else will.
Huka: There is something about zombie-involved missions that I just dislike, dont know why XD
Spartan999: Still, it will be good to kick some Flood ass for an episode before going back to fighting the Storm-Prometheans.
Spartan999: Too easy to kill.
Spartan999: Way to easy to godmod your way out of tight spots.
Spartan999: But since there was a fireteam of Spartans stationed there, we'll have to face them.
Spartan999: Which will be FUN.
Huka: I could imagine Flood-infested Spartans trying to psych the others out.
Huka: Got our main villian
Spartan999: Kewl.
Huka: A fanatically evil Zealot called Ronan 'Telcan.
Spartan999: Nice.
Huka: Alright thought up a possible death for our first Covie sub-boss.
Spartan999: Kewl.
Spartan999: Being 360 no-scoped?
Spartan999: Huka, here's a big plot changer.
Spartan999: A Promethean who is a prototype Knight that retained his full consciousness.
Huka: Ronan leave wounded Commander to die without reinforcement for failing the Forerunners and the Plan.
Huka: *epic gasp!*
Spartan999: I have a lot put into it because I was wanting a Forerunner Combat Android, which fits in really well with the Halo 4 Knights.
Spartan999: I'll explain a lot tomorrow.
Spartan999: The Spartans will be organized into Platoons named after a famous battle.
Spartan999: Yeah, I'm talking to myself.
Spartan999:
Spartan999: Of course, Marathon was inspired by Bungie's game, Marathon, but it works. xD
Spartan999: Alright, so I'm going to explain the Promethean idea.
Spartan999: Basically, it originated when C3 created Celestia.
Spartan999: I said, "I wish I could make a Forerunner Combat Android."
Spartan999: Now, I eventually wrote up an incomplete character profile for my combat android.
Spartan999: Basically, he was damaged badly in a battle.
Spartan999: His mind was then transferred into an artificial body by the Composer during the Forerunner-Flood War.
Spartan999: This would allow him and a company of other Prometheans like him to be immune to Flood infection.
Spartan999: Unfortunately, the process was very time consuming, and despite their success, the Didact created the Promethean Knights as a more viable solution.
Spartan999: Far more numbers, easier to build, but not as intelligent or deadly as even organic Prometheans, let alone the android/prototype ones.
Spartan999: Now, I'm thinking at least one survived and came to be imprisoned on Requiem like the Didact.
Spartan999: The Didact would get around to awakening him after the New Phoenix incident, and he would become basically his Sub-Commander for the Prometheans and an excellent antagonist for later episodes.
Spartan999: In other news, I think we should do a social bit before the War Games part.
Spartan999: Let the Spartans get to know each other before kicking another team's ass.
Spartan999: Also, I'm not sure about the "biweekly" missions.
Spartan999: That seems like a bit much.
Huka: Haha so you're leader of Mythic now?
Spartan999: Yep.
Huka: Also finished making some thoughts up, going to pm them to you now
Spartan999: k
Spartan999: Also, what do you think of the team leaders getting smart AI's eventually and the others getting dumb AI's?
Huka: Sent
Huka: good plan
Spartan999: Mhm.
Spartan999: I don't think Jul would go for the San 'Shyuum being part of the Storm.
Spartan999: He could go rogue, and steal a company of Prometheans to defend him while he worked towards some goal.
Huka: Yes, I was thinking of giving him some kind of enhancements to give him a edge. Some powerful augmentations that would have magnetic effect on others' armor to push them off similar to Didact but weaker.
Spartan999: San 'Shyuum in the old age aren't like the modern ones.
Huka: I know
Spartan999: He could be a super genius, and be able to hack into Promethean stuff to get him some new toys.
Huka: Convincing he is of use to the Storm or something.
Spartan999: Or just hack them, taking them out from the Didact's control. xD
Huka: Purple-colored probably
((This right here is a massive plot point. I got really excited when I came up with it, as you may be able to see.))
Spartan999: OH
Spartan999: OH
Spartan999: DAMN YOU GAME OF THRONES
Spartan999: The last episode on the DVD ended with a massive cliffhangar.
Huka: lol
Spartan999: And by the way, I watch it for the plot, not the sex. Like most guys...
Spartan999: *Unlike most guys
Huka: Of course, I would be shocked if you didn't watch it for the plot.
Spartan999: lol
Spartan999: OOOOOOHHHHH.
Huka: What?
Spartan999: What if, instead of getting UNSC AI's, Marathon got Forerunner Ancilla-fragments or something.
Spartan999: To help them against the Centurion.
Spartan999: Their software would also be upgraded.
Huka: After helping the Revanchist out?
Spartan999: All thanks to the Revanchist, of course.
Spartan999: Yeah, basically in Episode 8 they would get to use them.
Spartan999: Or...
Spartan999: In addition to the UNSC AI's, the AI's were improved by the Revanchist.
Spartan999: That would be even better.
Spartan999: OOOOOHHHHHHH!
Spartan999: The AI's are found at Installation 05.
Spartan999: Since they no longer have a work place, they are reassigned to Marathon.
Spartan999: Of course, this would be way easier for a single Fireteam. xD
Spartan999: OR
Spartan999: It's one smart AI that's radically improved and splits itself into all of Marathon, meaning we don't need 20-ish AI's.
Spartan999: Mm.
Spartan999: There's also gonna be a social bit after Episode 7.
Spartan999: Or...
Spartan999: Maybe there could be a social bit before every mission.
Spartan999: Yeah.
Huka: A social after 3 maybe
Spartan999: After the briefing and on the way to the dropships and en route to the target destinations, they can chat for a couple minutes.
Huka: *nods*
Spartan999: That gives room for character development for those who want it.
Spartan999: ....You following all this so far?
Spartan999: OHOHOHO!
Spartan999: Due to interacting with Forerunner tech on Installation 05, the Revanchist will sense the AI's presence and call it forth.
Spartan999: He then kick-starts a process which will essentially give the AI the ability to be separate and yet still whole at the same time, meaning it can do the thing where it's in every member of Marathon.
Spartan999: It'll kind of have a split where there are multiple personalities, but it will be much more unified; think the Geth or Lekgolo.
Huka: Yea
Spartan999: *giggles insanely*
Spartan999: Hurm.
Spartan999: We need an AI name.
Spartan999: *is tempted to say Legion*
Huka: Hmm
Huka: The Keeper?
Spartan999: He'll look like the Matrix-green-speak-stuff when idle or calculating, which forms into a human-shaped Matrix thing when he speaks or something.
Spartan999: Wow, lag.
Huka: SUddenly I thought of Sigma XD
Spartan999: Heh.
Huka: What you think of the name?
Spartan999: I'm still thinking.
Spartan999: It just occurred to me that the Forerunner titles are like Time Lords.
Spartan999: Anyway.
Spartan999: Orpheus...
Spartan999: Oedipus...
Spartan999: Domovoi...
Spartan999: Domovoi.
Spartan999: I like that.
Huka: *nods*
Spartan999: The name of a Slavic spirit who basically acts as a poltergeist who cleans and serves the house.
Spartan999: Reminiscent of the word "Ancilla", meaning servant in Latin, I believe.
So, Huka and I have been discussing plans for the episodes, rather intently all day. Let me summarize everything...
