This is a secondary mission intended to test the inclusion of a new pseudo-faction, Kig-Yar mercenaries. Players who wish to join should not use characters they already possess, but should instead assume the persona of either a Skirmisher crew member aboard the Unyielding, or a Human marine/ODST aboard the UNSC frigate. The captains of said vessels will be RP'ed by Killinger and myself. Should you choose to join, post a mini profile using the template below.
A Kig-Yar (Skirmisher) mercenary vessel, the Unyielding, has recently plundered a covenant vessel, and its cargo bays are filled with looted technology. However, the food supply is dwindling and will need to be replentished soon. Due to a slipspace drive malfunction, the ship has stopped in a seemingly uninhabited system to perform temporary repairs. Even so, the ship will need to find a place to barter for (or take by force) new supplies soon.
Unbeknownst to the Kig-Yar, however, the system, while uninhabited, is near enough to a Human colony that UNSC patrols occasionaly pass by. One such patrol ship, a Paris-class heavy frigate has just entered the system, and both vessels have detected one another.
An unidentified vessel was spotted in a system along our patrol route, not matching any known Covenant or UNSC designs. However, upon further investigation by the ship's AI, it has been discovered that the vessel is similar to unnafiliated Kig-Yar ships that have occasionaly been encountered by Humanity. It appears to be well armed and armored, but it should not be automatically assumed that its intentions are hostile. Even so, stay on your toes!
A UNSC frigate has just entered the system which we had previously thought to ne uninhabited. This could be a good or bad thing, as they might posess supplies that we want, and we have a surplus of items which we would be willing to trade. Additionaly, it is likely that we could attempt a boarding, in which case we could take their supplies for ourselves. However, humans have been known to attack us unprovoked in the past, so we must stay vigilant if we would like to survive this chance encounter!
So... Anyone besides Kill and I interested?
