ONI Captain Shizuka Reach, ONI Headquarters July, 2535Kuran Shizuka set down the datapad in front of him, unable to keep the frown from his features. "So, basically...." He addressed the man sitting across the desk from him. "I should have stayed in cryo. I'm gone for thirty years, an alien alliance invades, and now....this." He indicated the datapad. "Do we have the slightest clue what a forerunner even is?"The man sitting across from him, his immediate superior, shook his head. "No. Which is what we need you to find out. You're the amazing tech guy, and this...." He consulted the 'pad upside down. "..Android is, as far as we can tell, some form of computer. So get to it."Taking the dismissal at face value, he stood, consciously did not salute, and walked out of the office. It was times like this that he wished he was a smoker. ------------ The room that Kuran entered was small, enough to fit the large central desk, a hand full of chairs, and not much else. The fittings, of which there were few, were all the same grey polished titanium. A single lamp hung from the ceiling, but it was bright enough to illuminate every corner of the room as well. In short, Kuran thought, it was the exact same as the questioning rooms he had occasion to visit over three decades in the past. The first thing that he noticed was not, in fact, the human-shaped blue and silver....thing. It was that there were two guards on the other side of the room, rifles ready but not pointed quite at the android. Kuran gave them a contemptuous wave of his hand. "Clear out, it's not going to attack you. I would think."As the guards left, he took a seat across the table from the android, offering it a cautious hand. It had been in human proximity for four months after all, it didn't seem likely that it would choose now to attack humans. "My name is Captain Shizuka. It's a pleasure to meet you, but i'm afraid I have...absolutely no idea what to call you. Do you have...a gender programmed?" He remembered for a moment part of the briefing, that the android had identified herself as "C3135-T14" He wondered for a moment at the strange coincidence that the designation had a hint of a code within, but shrugged it off, waiting for an answer.

C3135-T14 Location: Human Planet: Reach Status: Major Internal Repairs Complete. Minor In Progress. C3135-T14 sat in silence. She was unaccompanied now with the exception of just two human guards who seemed very suspicious of her. Well, that was the way that it appeared upon her analysis anyway. She was still trying to fully understand these people. They were clearly of descent from her creators. Their physical and genetic structure was simply to close to be otherwise. Even if they were a bit... primitive. Still, she can not really asked any questions. She had actually been mostly silent since she had seen the Sanghelii jump from the ship back in the storm of sand. That had been almost 4 human months ago. She did not understand. What had happened over the time that she had been dormant? Just how long had she been dormant? So many questions, so much confusion. "Clear out, it's not going to attack you. I would think." C3 looked up as the voice filled the silent room. A man approached dismissing the guards as he went. So they had been to keep an eye on her. She wondered if they had not yet realized that she was forbidden from violence. Likely not. The man sat down at the table in front of her, offering her a hand. She knew that it was a human gesture of meeting. Friendliness. Finally, someone who did not seem to fear her on principle. "My name is Captain Shizuka. It's a pleasure to meet you, but i'm afraid I have...absolutely no idea what to call you," the man spoke, addressing her now. "Do you have...a gender programmed?" C3 was silent for a moment, analyzing the man's face through her visor, before deciding he was trustworthy enough. He really did not mean her harm. Her energy-visor dissipated and she retracted her hood, revealing her young-human like face with short silver hair. "I was given a female persona upon creation," she replied. Her voice was strange compared to his, clearly not quite human, but not complete robotic either. "I suppose that counts well enough. As for what to call me... my creators called me C3 when shortening my designation and model number."

"I was given a female persona upon creation," The android spoke "I suppose that counts well enough. As for what to call me... my creators called me C3 when shortening my designation and model number." The Android finished.
The Admiral leaned back on his chair, and brought up his datapad. "You were found in a capsule that our 'SPARTAN GOLD TEAM' retrieved you from. I understand that brutes got to you first, what was the specific purpose of this device? And could the human race develop from it's technological finding" The Admiral asked, reviewing the capsule on his datapad.
"Sorry, Captain. I've got things to fill out my self. The Technological Development team wants to know it's specific purpose, perhaps we can use it in the future." The Admiral said, knowing he was darting a little of topic, or perhaps going to fast into the topic at hand.

Kuran turned slightly in his seat, having not noticed the Admiral upon his entrance. "Given that I am a part of the Technological Development Team assigned to this particular matter, Admiral," He stressed the rank, "It would seem that your report may perhaps be un-needed paperwork. Also, it would appear that the subject is not, in fact, an it."
He turned back to the android. "So, C-3. May I inquire as to your original function? Primary programming?"

C3135-T14 Location: Human Planet: Reach Status: Major Internal Repairs Complete. Minor In Progress. C3 looked between the two men for a moment, feeling a slight sense of tension. She wasn't sure who to answer for a moment. She was now a little confused by Captain Shizuka's remark. Concerned that she would not answer the Admiral correctly, she took the easier question first. "My initial function..." she paused for a moment, going through her memory files. Even though she had already repaired the majority of her systems, her memory files were still very damage and in the process of being recovered. Going through them took a frustrating amount of time as well. To both men, it would appear that she was just thinking, her eyes closed. She found her base data files a second later, and opened them. Her eyes reopened as well and she turned to look at the Captain. "My primary programming is designed to carry and pass on information. Information on many subjects... history... basic technology... language, art.... sciences..." she frowned again as she tried to pursue files linked to it, but only received a message of error. She fell silent for a moment more. "I must apologize. I fear the damage from impact may have been worse than I initially surmised. I theorize that I was not secured properly when my hibernation pod was released to the planet in which you found me," she told him, quietly. She placed a palm to her forehead and began running another scan, searching for more damage. "It will probably take quite some time before I can fully restore all of my databases."

The Admiral nodded thoughfully. "A hibernation pod." The Admiral said, So it's like our cryo pods we use for slipspace. The Admiral thought. "Could you expand more into detail of the history of the forerunners?" The Admiral asked.
He's real purpose was to gain technological information, but strategical information about the forerunners might be useful, and sometimes a strategical gain can actually come from the past. The Admiral wondered if the forerunners where human, as the android was human-like.
He Admiral leaned over to the Captain's shoulder and whispered. "By the way, Captain. I was referencing to the pod, not the android." He said and straightened out on his chair. He brought up his datapad and opened up the keyboard, and sent a signal to the Arizona's AI to print what he writes once he saved it.

Kuran did his best to ignore the Admiral. He had never cared much for ranks, and on top of it all, he felt a slight headache coming on. Paying no attention to the man chattering at his shoulder, he studied the android more closely.
For all of her silver-and-blue exterior, she was relatively human looking. But Kuran was far more interested in what lie inside. She was...a living computer. Not even an AI, but something much more advanced. Much...older, if it was even possible.
"What do you use to process information? It is possible that I could help you repair damaged portions of your memory core."
