Alex sat quietly her finger twirling her finger along the open top of her Strawberry frapachino. Her eyes stared down to her apartment keys, and wallet laying in front of her. Her cybernetic arm was exposed, and her cloths, casual for once. not her ODST or Dress blues.

She wore a black tank top, skinny jeans, and lastly, regular shoes. Her hair was a mess, strapped quickly in a pony tail a few minutes before she had gotten to the starbucks itself. god this was going to be an awkward.... Date? No that wouldnt sound right... Uhm... Alex just left it at that and her mind went blank as she went back to waiting.

She'd sent Zoe the message offering for her to meet Alex her under the encouragement of Lewis and Clay. She had no clue what Church was up to, and Raul... Ugh she didn't want to know.

Her blue eyes looked over the wooden table as her body rested in a soft chair which, before being sat on was a ball, but when someone leaned on it they quite literally sunk in to it and it split around the person, making a soft chair shaped to them... Alex had to admit though, it was awkward considering for the first few seconds it squished her face and boobs together.

Zoe paused just outside the Starbucks, spotting Alex Summers through the glass window. For some reason, Alex had randomly decided she had wanted to meet up here. Odd, but maybe she just wanted to a little girl time. Some time away from the other guy members of the squad. Zoe couldn't really blame her for that, having little patience for boys herself.

She shoved her phone into her jeans pocket and headed for the door. She herself wore a dull red t-shirt and some torn up jeans along with what her sister called her "combat boots." So they were steel-toed? Just meant she liked the feel of them. Idly, Zoe's thought wandered to Asha for a second. She wondered how her dear sister was.

Pushing the thoughts from her mind, Zoe came to focus on the task at hand. Asha was most likely fine and she didn't need to worry about the other girl too much.

"Heya Alex," she called to her teammate, who sat in one of the softer chairs of the store. She came and sat down in the one next to her, sinking in a bit. "What's up?"

She slowly looked up when Zoe came. Her eyes sad, feigning a smile. "I uh... Brought the footage from Raul's helmet to his husband... I..." she stopped and sighed. "It was not a nice time..." She looked away from Zoe and put her hands on her head.

"I... Don't know what to think anymore... Everyone I get close to dies..." She whispered, her hands into her hair, she was on the verge of crying.

"Zoe... I-I... Need someone to talk to..." She said, looking down, shivering as she felt her anxiety coming on.

Zoe blinked a few times in alarm as Alex lower her face into her hands. The young woman sounded like the was on the verge of crying. Her body showed small shakes, clearly distressed.

"I... Don't know what to think anymore... Everyone I get close to dies... Zoe... I-I... Need someone to talk to..." her comrade spoke, making Zoe's heart twist in sympathy.

"Hey..." Zoe said softly, her hand coming to rest on her friends shoulder. "Oh come.... please don't cry." Zoe didn't handle tears well, as she really had no clue what to do about them.

"I'm right here. You can talk to me. You always could, okay?" She smiled gently. "We're comrades in arm, but we're also friends. So, if you need to talk, I can listen. Maybe I can even try to help."

Alex began shaking more, her breathing quiet, but speeding up. When Zoe put her hand on her back, Alex moved and wrapped her arms around her. "Can we just go somewhere else? People are staring..." she said, her voice shaking and quiet as she did so... Not wanting to let Zoe go.

Zoe felt herself blush a bit as Alex hugged her. People were staring and Zoe didn't care to be the center of attention. She knew that if they stayed here, quite a scene might unfold. She nodded.

"Come on," she said, helping Alex out of her chair and smiling a bit. "Let's go for a walk. You can tell me all about it on the way, okay? And they say that exercise helps relieve stress too."

Zoe led the other girl out of the coffee shop, trying to ignore any questioning stares from the cafe's customers. The weather wasn't descent enough. Good for a walk.
