This is the thread for posts taking place on the UNSC moon. The moon is terraformed, however most of the combat will take place in the main (and only) city, Stoke. There is a large military base on the outskirts of the city.
UNSC Ground Objectives: 1) Deploy and create a Forward Operating Base on the Covenant Controlled Moon. 2) Deploy in combat actions across the surface. Wipe them out! 3) Defend UNSC controlled moon. 4) Ensure a victory for the UNSC. They need it.
Covenant Ground Objectives: 1) Cleanse the Human Base of all vermin on our moon! 2) Destroy their fragile operating base on the other moon! 3) We must protect our moon! Without it, defeat will fall shortly after! 4) The Covenant must win this! We can not allow the UNSC Moral to continue climbing!
Heretic Ground Objectives: 1) Help the UNSC destroy the Covenant who fail to see the prophets lies!

Captain John Killinger Alpha Combany UNSC Moon
With the UNSC launching an attack on the second moon, Killinger was assigned, with his company, to help provide defenses for the City and UNSC bases that were present on the UNSC moon. Well he had a full company of men, two hundred and fifty strong with slightly over-sized platoons, the Captain was ready to bring hell on the ground if it meant eradicating the Covenant Forces from the system. Hopefully, the UNSC Fleet that had been assembled would get the job done. So far, Killinger hadn't known of any Covenant Ships had actually slip-spaced in or not, but he was ready for anything. During the briefing, he was told to hunker down and defend the outskirts of the city. Defenses where all ready set up, tanks, warthogs, anti-aircraft guns. The UNSC Base was deemed valuable, but the city had civilians in it, and the UNSC needed to evacuate them if things went funky during the mission. The Captain waited for the city to approach in the pelican's canopy windows. "Captain, five minutes to touchdown." The pilot said, as the convoy of areal dropships filled the sky. Roughly twenty pelican's with troop deployment pods held Killingers company plus extra's for the general relief of defense. Reserves some people where calling them, but they would be on the defensive line to. The UNSC Fleet had roughly sixteen thousand marines, all being split up to attack or defend the planet. Killinger hoped that his brothers and sisters in arms did well on the Covenant moon.

Lance Corporal Nikolai Jovanovich Sniper Team Alpha, Alpha Company UNSC Moon Nikolai sat with his rifle stock grounded on the "blood pan" and looked over at Idina. The both of them were happy, despite the impending battle. They had recently had some R&R and had....a really good time. Even though Idina had begged off Nikolai's normal sailing trip and they hadn't see much of each other during their leave, they were happy. He thought back to that fateful boat trip. Damn, he hadn't even realized it then. But now he knew it. God, did he ever. Just then, his thoughts were interrupted by their pilot. As normal, both sniper teams flew down with the main command structure of the company, including the captain. "Captain, five minutes to touchdown." Nikolai nudged Idina. He gave her their patented hand-sign for "buckle up tight, roll and rattle." Basically, they made sure they could get to everything they needed, while still keeping their equipment quiet. It was hard to do on a cramped dropship, but they could do an abbreviated one. They both stood and began checking each other's equipment and packs. By the time they landed, they were ready.

Chieftain Valerius Aboard Covenant Phantom Serrated Charge, en route to selected landing zone
Within the large phantom dropship, fourteen large Jiralhanae stood in attention, dressed in tribal-marked armor of Jiralhanae bodyguards, their bloodthirsty red eyes forward, but their pheromones screamed for battle. Obviously they were well-equipped in a mix of savage swords and axes with spikers and maulers.
Stepping out of the cockpit was their fearsome and esteemed leader, a even large Chieftain in the standardized battle dress, the sigil of his tribe etched onto his headdress. In both of his clawed hands was a double-bladed ax, with blades black and edges silver, while their shafts were obvious of resilient metal that might rival a ship's hull.
After several years under servitude, Valerius have finally broken his more obvious bonds, overthrown his former chieftain, and became the rightfully leader of the tribe.
No one questions his command and he reward this loyalty by killing the weak, strengthening the already strong, and annilihating his enemies with no mercy.
Already, cities have been razed and fallen to his might, and more Jiralhanae are starting to join him, but few make it into the tribe itself.
His pack-brothers have become his faithful lieutenant and his word is once more engraved into the minds of his tribe as absolute law. They don't even move on Sangheili word unless he approves.
Today, another settlement will fall, and he thirst for more.

Ogada Fisu Kona Aboard Phantom transport Merciless Strike
The Fisu pair waited anxiously inside the bay of the dropship as it descended down towards the planet. The Mgalekgolo pair were anxious and ready for the coming battle, their collective minds wishing for nothing more than to rip the enemy asunder and destroy them utterly. In the rest of the dropship, a collection of the other covenant races conversed and looked about anxiously. The Unggoy, Kig-Yar and Sangheili all were present, the only ones not being the brutish Jiralhanae.
Ogada and his bond-brother remained quiet, their anger stewing inside of them. The pair had been onboard the ship on that desolate, volcanic rock, they had failed in their duty to stop the humans, but they would not fail this time. Each second they spent onboard the phantom was agonizing and slow. Still, they were almost there and they would have their vengeance finally. The Phantom was nearing the end of its trip, approaching the landing zone, how long before the pair could wreak their vengeance? Too long. The pair both gave a deep murmuring, light vibrations filling the dropship to show their irritation.

Captain John Killinger Alpha Company City Defensive Line
((OOC: Huka, you do know that there is a defensive line surrounding the city, right? Tanks, Anti-Air Guns, Fighters, etc, etc because there is a UNSC Fleet in orbit over the city, right?))
"Touch-down, hit it marines!" The Pilot said, as the pelican angled to the left and the troop ramp opened. "Captain, I need to talk to you quickly!" The Pilot added. Well the marines were storming off the pelican, the Captain slid into the canopy. The ground was nice, peaceful and a lot of trees were present. The Captain was relieved a little from that fact, they had something a little extra to fight for. A hope for peace.
"What did you need?" The Captain asked quickly. "Scanners have picked up a lot of Covenant Areal Vehicles. Numbers are uncertain, but prepare for a fight." The Pilot said, anticipating the following battle by unlocking the 70 MM HE Auto-Cannon and the ANVIL-II missiles they had. Well one on one they could completely destroy a phantom, out numbered the UNSC Transports fell towards the ground quick.
"Call the UNSC, in atmosphere Longsword Strikes from any ship in orbit." The Captain said. The pilot nodded, and keyed the comm. The Captain was already out side before he heard what the pilot said, but the Pelican stayed on the ground longer then the Captain thought it would, which means the pilot was probably struggling to get the support the Marines needed.
The Captain watched a Gauss Warthog roll up towards the wall, and insert its-self between a building and an opening. The Captain had just found a new toy, as the turret was actually void of a gunner. "Don't mind if I do..." The Captain said calmly, and he quickly jogged over and hopped on the turret.

(OCC: sorry, I have deleted my last post(obvious) and made it more clear)
Chieftain Valerius Aboard Covenant Phantom Serrated Charge
The Chieftain meditated on his rage and bloodthirst, he wanted to rip through the humans like animals, but he was a leader now. He must think outside of the arena now, which means being patient.
Already the Sangheilian leader in the assault is moving his forces against the human defenses. Valerius' forces is sent to help augment the Sangheili's fighting forces and spear into the city.
There will be casualties, but death is nothing to him. Victory concerns him.
"Chieftain," The pilot's voice called, "We are approaching the city."
"Excellent. Alarm our forces to prepare for battle." Valerius ordered.
"Yes, Chieftain." The pilot said.
Below them, a legion of Covenant forces were mobilizing, Ghosts and Choppers driving fast ahead with Wraiths and Locusts close behind. The infantry was third in the mobilization.

Lance Corporal Nikolai Jovanovich Sniper Team Alpha, Alpha Company City Defensive Line
Nikolai looked at the small sharp lump of rock that was both brilliantly lit by the city's lights and shaded by the night.
He looked at Idina and gave her a look that said "Maybe?"
She looked back at him, her look saying "Hmm...might work."
He nodded and they jogged over to the small outcropping. It was perfect. Just out of the way, really hard to see anything in, had good lines of sight. And yet....no one would think twice about it, cause this outcropping was so much a part of the terrain.
They quickly set up and got into position. Then, they waited. And waited. They each began the subtle motions that kept their limbs from cramping and seizing up, without having to get up and stretch.
And they kept waiting.

Ogada Fisu Kona Aboard Phantom transport Merciless Strike
The Phantom finished its trip down to the surface, the pair bristling with anticipation as the doors finally opened and the two Mgalekgolo jumped out of the side-doors to land with two loud thuds. Their assault cannons were glowing and ready with the waiting plasma within, their shields at the ready even though the battle was just a ways away.
The Phantom finished unloading the rest of its troops and dropped off the waiting Wraith tank it had been carrying on its belly. The grav-tank activated, thrusters flaring with its mortar launcher rearing up at the ready. The Fisu pair gave an audible grumble and began trudging their way towards where the rest of the infantry was heading, they were not going to miss this fight. Not by a longshot.

Lieutenant Aspen Jade Watts Pelican Pilot City Defense Deployments Aspens journey through atmosphere and to the moon below had been out of the ordinary. For the first time in all of her years in the military she had seen an alien vessel slip through slip space and was not attacking nor being assualted. Then she remembered that the heretics were around and most likely helping. Which she couldn't understand. "If those alien bastards had enemy sense, when they defected they should of kept it quiet and stuck around to stab at the leadership.." She mumbled more to herself than Dan, her co-pilot. He answered anyway, "I know right? Well anyway I wanted to see a covie on covie fight anyway. See how their own ships like that plasma they dish out so much." "Damn right." Aspen answered back, with a smile smile spreading across her face. "This is Zulu 14, heading towards LZ 26, got that LZ 26?" Aspen stated through her mic, gently pulling on the yoke of her pelican to bank left, past the defensive lines of the city. "Roger." A voice responded. "OK, listen up back there, we will be landing in two minutes. Get ready to split some covie heads." Aspen belted into the pelicans intercom system, hearing a small, "Ohh- rahh!" through the pressurized door to the cabin. Lance Corporal Victoria Land Caster Sniper Team Beta, Alpha Company In Transit to UNSC Moon "Ohhh-Rah!" Everyone in the trooper bay of their pelican cried after the pilot voiced their ETA over the intercom moments before. Victoria was a little sad to be on active duty again, she had such a nice time during R&R, she wondered this time if she ran into Alpha company if they would run off into another dense cluster of foliage not to return untill sometime after. Her spotter, Chase, had come back from Earth feeling the same way. He was glad to see Victoria again though. "Looks like we are back out here again." He stated, referring to the battle field. "Mhmm, lets score up a hell of a lot of kills this time around so we have something to talk about during our next R&R." She stated with a small smile as the Pelican finally touched down on the LZ platform. The bay doors of the pelican slowly opened with a pressurized 'sqeak' and out emerged the two, quickly loading into a warthog to be ferried over to the defensive line.

Chieftain Valerius Aboard Covenant Phantom Serrated Charge, en route to human fort-city
"Send in the trapped phantoms!" Valerius ordered and several Phantoms, piloted by a single pilot and instead of troops, were completely full of plasma barrages.
"For the glory of the Covenant and the Chieftain!" The pilots cried before diving directly into the humans' defenses without a care of living through it.
Many were destroyed by the AA turrets and their support, but the others broke through, destroying fighters, and dived into the defenses, exploding into massive orbs of plasma and destruction.
Valerius' pilot laughed at the glorious chaos but the Chieftain didn't allow victory to sink in just yet. "Sangheili, send in your forces!" He suggested.
Below the front forces charged to combat the humans with infantry and their devastating machines of war, the phantoms tried to get through the openings and into the city. The Jiralhanae escorts of banshees battled with the swooping fighters to give them enough time as the phantoms fired all turrets to any potential threat.

Ogada Fisu Kona Frontlines on approach to target city
The ground was utter chaos, artillery and gun fire going this way and that. A few phantoms descended directly towards the enemy lines, crashing in deeply to enemy fortifications before exploding violently in blue and purple blossoms of plasma-fire, suicide runs. The Fisu pair were not at the forefront of the battle, but they most assuredly would be incredibly soon as they stampeded forward.
Nothing was truly safe from their monstrous charge, they cared none for the lesser races of the covenant in their mad dash to get to the front and many a jackal and grunt were pulverized underneath their thick boots. As soon as they came into range Ogada and his bond-brother began to open fire with their assault cannons while still dashing towards the human lines, no covenant forces infront of them now. Balls of swirling green plasma launched from their assault cannons to blast into the UNSC forces with explosive ferocity, melting warthogs and vaporizing marines all the same.
From the both of them in sequence with one another their forms began to send loud vibrations into the air, to those who could not understand the hunter tongue it would sound like a loud and rather intimidating howl. To those that did know, however, it was indeed their battle cries filling the air, vengeance in the forefront of their collective minds. "CRUSH, KILL, DESTROY." Came the same words over and over again.

Captain Killinger Alpha Company City Defenses
Killinger swore as some phantoms borrowed into the UNSC Defensive lines. A few Grizzly Tanks moved into position, there track threads gleamed a bright red, two tanks from the UNSCS Arizona complement. The two tanks stopped right beside each other, protected by buildings and surrounding trees. The phantoms had taken out an AA gun and a company of men. An entire company where killed just like that. Two hundred marines dead in matter of seconds. Casualty reports where still coming in, when the two tanks fired at the two hunters that broke formation and advanced faster then the Covenant army approaching. The four HE rounds flew past the creatures and impacted into groups of grunts. "Hit 'em again!" Killinger screamed. It took a minute for the tanks to reload there rounds, but they fired again. Four shells arched upwards, and down towards the hunters Killinger fired the Gauss Cannon he had at a banshee protecting a Covenant Phantom and it blew up as the down-graded magnetic recoil-less Guass Cannon round punched through its armor plating and hit something critical. As the Covenant army moved closer, the defensive line opened up in a series of automatic fire. Literally tens of thousands of bullets and tracers flew forward into the approaching army. Tanks fired, Warthogs let go with there M12's, Missile Pods and Guass Cannons. Marines fired snipers, machine guns, sub-machine guns and assault weapons into the bulk of the army. And troops started to go down, but there where a lot of them. Killinger turned his attention towards the Covenant Phantom that broke through the defensive lines. "Killinger here, we've got a phantom inbound towards the city. Evacuation teams, stand-by!" Killinger said into the open channel. He raised a pilot, Captain James Fawley Captain James Fawley Longsword Interceptor D-32 Combat Air Patrol around city
Delta Two Three, you've got inbound phantom dropships for the city. Recommend taking it out as soon as possible." The Comm channel cracked to life. James identified the Friend or Foe tag as Marine Captain John Killinger stationed at the defenses. If he saw a phantom get through, it was true. "Be advised, they are suiciding phantoms to inflict massive casualties." The Captain added. James flicked on the two way transponder. "Understood, Captain. Delta Two Three inbound." James said. He quickly switched to his squadrons channel. "Delta Squadron, remain in Combat Air Patrol formation, Delta Two Three breaking off to engage Phantom Dropship, out." The Captain said, as he pushed the throttle up and activated everything the longsword had. He keyed the ASGM-10 Missile system. They had four of these bad boys in each pod, and they had two pods. To an un-shielded target, these things would do some series damage. The Captain weaved left to avoid a building and angled higher into the atmosphere. "There! I see it!" The Co-Pilot said. The Flight Captain angled the longsword downwards, got a glimpse of the phantom and aggressively pitched the UNSC fighter into a steep angle. "Missile systems are locked. Auto-cannon safeties are dis-engaged." The Weapons Officer informed. The Captain waited until the lock tone sounded. He pulled the trigger, and a full pod of AGSM-10 High Explosive Yield missiles launched forward, but that wasn't all. The Captain quickly switched controlled to the ventral guns and auto-cannons and pulled the trigger. The missiles where going for the Covenant Phantom well the auto-cannons and ventral guns took out the banshees flying escort. "Time to missile impact, fifteen seconds!" The weapons officer said, as the Captain pulled up on the throttle. "Tack them." James replied. "Ten seconds to impact!"

Chieftain Valerius Aboard Covenant Phantom Serrated Charge
Leaning against the wall, Valerius listened the screaming of orders and deaths, the destructive power of Covenant and Human might. It was a massacre outside his phantom, but he knew the Humans will be prepared for him.
He was ready for their counterattack. His pilot manuevered through the city somewhat easily, due to their several city-razes in the past, avoiding smashing into buildings or recklessly attacking anything.
Suddenly the familiar whine of Human fighters rang in their ears. "Prepare yourselves." He howled to his passagers and throttled the ship forward, hearing the explosions of their banshees, and soon enough the phantom shook violently as a couple missiles struck along the bulk of the phantom, barely missing the others.
Valerius growled as he steadied him. With little choice, the pilot crashed through a building and most of its body was wedged between the destroyed building and another.
Legion Master 'Zumakai
Shielding himself from a nearby slug explosion, the Field Master continued the march. The humans were heavily-fortified but he refused to retreat when he had the power to devestate them.
"Locust units 1 and 3, fire at the Human tanks, units 2 and 4 keep your fire on the air support!" He ordered over the coms and six insectiod machines aimed their plasma cannons before unleashing continous waves of overheated plasma onto the tanks. The other six aimed their cannons and began shooting down the swooping aircrafts, helping the few surviving banshees left.
The front lines were at first being massacred by the humans' onslaught but after energy shields were deployed, it made the situation less complicated, especially with the surviving officers taking the bad ranks to issue orders.

Major Ziin Shal'toree [/center] Major Ziin Shal'toree studied the holographic readout as the Phantom swerved, AA fire strafing the dropship. The suicide Phantoms had done an excellent job at causing chaos along the UNSC lines, making it far easier for the Phantom to come in for a landing. The back of the Phantom jerked, fire and smoke whooshing in through a hole in the vehicle. None of his lance was injured, though. Another hit explosion sent sparks cascading throughout the cockpit, making the pilot shield his eyes instinctively. Unfortunately, that prevented him from avoiding another round that slammed into one of the engines. The Phantom wobbled, then slowly started to descend. Several seconds later, the doors opened wide to allow Ziin and his lance to hastily disembark. The dropship started to take off, then exploded as a human tank round hit the main engine. The detonation of their Phantom threw Annihilator lance off their feet, which saved Horle from being killed by a stray round of sniper fire. "Is everyone okay!?" Ziin growled, shaking a piece of charred metal from his head.

Captain Killinger UNSC Defensive Line First Combat Battalion, Alpha Company "We got a scorpion down!" A Marine screamed. The locusts where starting to pick them off. The combat channels filled with static from tank commanders being killed. "Then shoot them back!" Killinger screamed. By now, the Major at the defensive line was killed in action when the suicide phantoms hit the AA gun. He was in direct control of this portion of the defensive line. Two Grizzly tanks rolled into place, and provided assistance to the two already there. Then one exploded as super heated plasma burned it's armor to nothing. Then all three of them fired simultaneously. A locusts went down from the high explosive shells, and there where six of them. "Reload, one target at a time! Break and engage!" The Captain said. The three tanks didn't move though. Their position would decently protected by buildings and trees. They fired again. The second locust had two of its four legs blown clean off after the Covenant vehicles shields went down. The Captain grinned. "Alpha Actual to Alpha Four Actual, get your rocket troopers firing rounds at the locusts!" The Captain said into the microphone. Hastily, the women of Platoon four responded. "Alpha Four Actual copies all." She said groaning. Killinger wondered if she was wounded. It didn't matter, the heavy weapons platoon attached to Alpha Company accepted the order, and seven marines with rocket launchers climbed onto the closest watch tower and fired. Fourteen high explosive rockets swooshed forward, followed by the three Grizzly tanks firing again. In total, the last locust crashed under the might of all the explosions. The Captain opened up the link again to the tank commanders, by now reports had confirmed. He was in charge of First Battalion. "Hold position, re-target the next locusts. Fire one shell every five seconds, continuous fire." The Captain said. The lead tank fired one of it's two cannons. Followed by the second tank five seconds later, then the third. By the time the third finished loading, the first tank had already loaded it's first cannon, and fired its second one. The shells began to pour down onto the locust units. One by one, they all fell... But not before they could do some damage. As the last locust engaging ground troops and tanks fell, all but one Grizzly was still operational. They had targeted and destroyed two Grizzly tanks, four Scorpions and had destroyed a long-sword interceptor. Well, the destruction of the long-sword actually helped, as it plummeted into the Covenant lines and exploded in a near nuclear blast as the explosive ordinance mixed with fuel and bullets. It was like watching fireworks. Flight Captain James Fawley Long-Sword D-32 Combat Air Patrol
"We've got a long-sword down! Delta Three-One is heading for the deck!" The Co-Pilot screamed, as the UNSC Space Superiority fighter crashed into the Covenant lines in a massive detonation. The Captain's long-sword screamed over head, and away from the battle. James angled the long-sword into space, and in less then a minute was in the upper atmosphere already. "Four Covenant banshees have broken there engagement and are pursuing us." A console operator said. "Swinging around, get the guns locked as fast as you can." Fawley said, as he pulled the throttle up, did a backflip in a Long-Sword and then jerked the interceptor back up-right. The gunner adjusted his aim, and the steady clicks of the auto-cannons firing was a pleasant sight. However, most of the bullets missed. One Banshee was obliterated and another one was damaged when the longsword impacted with a third. "We hit one!?" The engineer operator said shocked. "And we are damaged. The hole canopy and un-pressurized now. Engine one is failing." He said. The Long-sword could easily fly with one engine, but it would be a lot slower and more chance for a critical engine failure to number two if the stress got to high for the vessel. "Dome your flight helmets, seal your legs and gloves. We are returning to the Arizona for repairs." The Captain said, as the crew quickly addressed the fading atmosphere problem by countering it with there air-tight suits. "UNSCS Arizona this is Delta Three Two, we are damaged and requesting repairs." The Captain said into the channel. A text message replied, maybe the communication officer was busy. "Cleared for your home landing pad, D-32." The message said. The Flight Captain nodded, and angled his fighter towards the UNSC Naval flagship.

Legion Master 'Zumakai
While watching his locusts be destroyed one by one and a quarter of his legion destroyed in a human aircraft crashing, 'Zumakai started to feel a ping of fear but his warrior heart pushed it aside to manuever his remaining forces to better positions and struck back.
The main infantry stayed to the Human's defenses, his heavy weapon specialist, a creche of Unggoy and Sangheili with a small attachment of three Mgalekgolo, all armed with plasma cannons and fuel rod guns, led by Creche Commander 'Rafumee rain their artillery of plasma upon the humans in the middle ranks with the Wraiths in selected points of the legion assisting at destroying the humans' heavy hitters.
Looking in the humans' ranks, 'Zumakai searched for the leadership. He had to cut the head of the snake or his forces will be devastated.
Chieftain Valerius In the Human city sewers
Walking with his surviving warriors, Valerius grimaced at the human stench and couldn't wait to return to the ship for a cleansing bath. Barely on the sidewalk that held off the mucky slug that rivers through the sewers.
His stoic warriors were silent and eager to kill, but they must remain disciplined to manuever through the city without detection. Leaving the phantom behind, Valerius had it set to self-destruction in a couple micro-units.
With a dark smirk, Valerius had his plan running through his head.

Captain John Killinger UNSC Defensive Line Alpha Battalion
"Sir!" Hicks screamed over the comm. "The battalion CO's are K.I.A, you've got the Battalion!" He added. Killinger instantly felt the drop on his shoulders, the responsibility not for two hundred men, but for eight hundred now. "Solid copy, Hicks!" The Captain replied. "This is Alpha 1, call sign has changed to Battalion Actual!" Killinger said, as the Battalion channel became available to command on his HUD. A moment later, Hicks sounded off. "This is Alpha 1, call sign has changed to Alpha Actual!" This was it, he now controlled the entire battalion. "I want a tactical station set up over there!" He screamed, as two marines nodded and ran over towards the nearest building that Killinger pointed out. The three story building was now marked as "Tactical Information Center, or the TIC on UNSC Huds. The Captain nodded in satisfaction. At the rank of Captain, Killinger already had a personal tactical data-pad. He drew the device from his chest plate armor and crouched behind a building so he could access the information. The updates had already strolled in, and his rank was identified as "Acting Battalion Commander" on the top for other Company commanding officers. "Alpha Actual, I want your company engaging ground troops. Bravo Actual I want you doing the same!" Killinger said into the microphone. Alpha Actual was First Lieutenant Hicks, and Bravo Actual was Captain Cooper, or someone else if she was deployed to the Covenant moon. Killinger couldn't really tell, as the "CO" slot was marked as "N/A" at the time. "Charlie Actual and Delta Actual, I want you engaging those Wraith tanks! Take out troops of you have to, but those Wraiths are top priority!" Killinger said. Two crisp "Yessir's" came back. A moment later, sniper rounds and HE rockets streamed towards the Wraith tanks in the distance. Sniper rounds taking out troops around them, the rockets heading straight forward. Hick's company was already firing at troops that where advancing, but second (Or Bravo) company had yet to respond...

Legion Master 'Zumakai
Watching the tenacious humans rain their heavy weapons on his arterilly, he ordered the Heavy Weapons Commander to bring up the Wraiths' energy shields, which most of them did in time at the cost of converging their plasma used to bombard the humans to the shield generators. A clever modification that the Weapon Masters made in the early cycles of the war.
Lossing two wraiths of his ten and several of his specialists, while the others remained mixed in the ranks and behind energy shields, until the Commander gave the word to return fire again.
When the barrage ended, the shields were quickly reverted back to the plasma bombardment and as the mortars charged up, the heavy weapons returned to their harrassment.
"No more waiting." The Legion Master growled to himself and he ordered the Mgalekgolo to march forward and the front line infantry to charge while support remained behind to give cover fire.
With a thunderous warcry, the surviving quarter of the legion charged with vengeance and bloodthirst.
With his sword draw and personal shield flared up, 'Zumakai charged with his warriors, his rage and zealous drive ran through his mind and body, he felt invincible, and with their leader by their side, so did the legion as plasma and fuel rod ammunition flew over their heads and at the enemy, whose strength remained with long-ranged combat.
A true hand-to-hand battle will be their downfall.

Lance Corporal Victoria Land Caster Sniper Team Beta, Alpha Company Front Lines Defense "Two grunts at your nine o' clock attempting a suicide run towards a behind cover squad, 200 yards off. " Chase spouted, watching the front lines with his binoculars. The two, Victoria and Himself were stationed the top of a decent sized outcropping of rocks and more recent rubble from buildings close by. "Gotcha." Replied Victoria as she moved her sight towards the direction her spotter had reported and sure enough two grunts had decided to charge the position with blue plasma grenades glowing in hand. With two pulls of a trigger, the two aliens were no more. The first hit in it's centeral body mass, falling over and tripping up the second grunt whose arm had been blown away. Even if the second one survived the shot it did not survive the explosion of blue plasma that followed. "Nice one." Chase commented as Victoria fired at a third alien close to the ones he had spotted. Lusa 'Qorahee Another day, another battle. The phantom in which her squad was stationed had more freedom to move along the moon, Covenant scuicide forces had done wonders in freeing up air space and turning the human anti air guns to molten slag. But, their approach was a little too bold, Lusa thought, they were still a big target. A resounding thud sounding in the interior of the phantom did nothing to ease her thoughts. Smoke leaked into the phantom and flames from the whole began to lick the interior walls, she was not injured, but her thoughts did not improve when a second thud sent sparks along the cockpits interior controls, then another thud signaled the failiure of some of the ships engines. Making the decent even more risky. When the bay doors of the hulking purple ship opened though, Lusa and the rest of the lance quickly disembarked, not so far behind them the same phantom that had carried them there exploded and sent Lusa flying to the ground underneath her. "Eternal damnation for the humans.." She growled more to herself than anyone, it was a rare thing for others to hear her speak such ways. "Is everyone okay!?" Major Shal' Toree called out, Lusa including the rest of the Lance responded with their own calls of them being uninjured.

Captain Killinger UNSC Defensive Line Battalion Actual
The Captain smirked. Oh, they want to play THAT game now hey? He though, as he took a glance over his shoulder. Ten M12 LAAG Warthogs waiting behind a large building, but five more took his glance away. The five warthogs that where moving where Gauss 'Hogs, and they could do some serious damage. As the Covenant 'legion' started to charge, the Captain waived the Warthog's forward. "Don't let them past! Gauss 'Hogs forward!" He screamed into the mic around his throat. The lead Warthog shot from the opening and raced around the nearest building, ten Warthogs following behind it. A convoy of anti-aircraft spewing vehicles lurched forward, completed a lap and positioned themselves in a straight line; pointing right towards the Covenant advance. By now, the five Gauss 'Hogs had made there way towards the wall. Three of them on the right, two of them left. The opened fire with a distinct metallic clack as the miniaturized MAC shot rounds towards the forward leading hunters. As soon as they went down, the ten M12 LAAG Warthogs launched forward at top speed, swerving left and right to avoid plasma. Well they still got hit, the small arms rounds wouldn't total a warthog quickly. The gunners opened up. Ten guns, all firing .50 Cal rounds, at a lot of rounds per minute. Units started to fall, on the Covenant end. The charge forced the Gauss 'Hogs to stop firing, and they slipped back into cover. As the LAAG 'Hogs diverted right and left, the remaining Grizzly tank opened fire. The round flew straight and true, followed by another one. Two explosions echo'd through out the flat area, but it was already to late. The Covenant hit the line with force, they where effectively at the city defensive line. "All units, fall back to secondary defensive line! On the double Marines!" Killinger screamed into the open comm, and he lifted his MA37, selected a pair of grunts and pulled the trigger. By now, two of the LAAG 'Hogs where already destroyed, and the remaining eight fled the area, back towards the second defensive lines. Troops across the city started to retreat as well. "Battalion Actual to Alpha Actual and Bravo Actual, push them back if you can! Get the boys some time to get out of here! If we all fall back at once, they'll just shot us in the backs!" Killinger growled, as he unloaded onto a poor elite dumb enough to round the corner with two other marines. With some support, the Grizzly remained with the Captain. The tank commander nodded, and let the advancing troops have it. Two rounds made a hole, an advantage between the advancing Covenant troops and the remaining companies. "Fire again, same spot!" The Captain ordered. The tank commander nodded, and two more high explosive shells fired into the ground, making a rather large crater in the dirt. Almost instantly, three fireteams of Marines rushed to the crater. It was cover. "You eight, with me!" The Captain said, as he pointed towards a squad. The Sergeant nodded, and the unit moved. Killinger took them on a flanking run, went right of the building but was cut off from progressing as two elites engaged the nine man squad. "Open fire!" The Sergeant barked. Two marines opened fire as they had the easiest line of fire. Their rounds pinged off the two elites, who bore a red colored armor scheme. Four more men, including the Captain joined in. The metallic clacks and reports of the automatic weapons drained the shields of one elite, and it buckled to the ground dead after receiving over one hundred round of 7.62 MM rounds. The remaining elite's shields popped, it took a few rounds and sprinted for cover inside the door-way. The Sergeant nodded, and two Marines with M90 Combat Shotguns approached the door. The elite popped out, fired its weapon and nailed one of the advancing marines in the face, but the second marine with the shotgun took revenge and blew the elites head off its shoulders. The two bodies it the deck almost at the same time. The marine bent down, and ripped the dog-tags off the now dead marine. Unlucky death. He returned to the squad, before a report came over on the comms. "Battalion Actual, all units have reached the secondary fall back position!" A voice sounded. It was young, probably a radio operator. "Solid copy!" The Captain replied, looked around. Combat teams where engaged with the enemy. Hunters tore into the Grizzly as it got two shells away. It lurched to the right. "This is Romeo 2-1, our Grizzly tank is disabled, but we still have canon controls!" The Commander said. "Understood, focus on the hunters!" The Captain replied. The tank fired three more times, two rounds each before it was completely destroyed. Luckily, the gunner had bailed, but only the gunner. The tank commander was killed in action. Shortly after jumping from the tank, so was the gunner. "All forward units, full retreat!!" Killinger yelled. "Second defensive line, provide covering fire!" The Captain ordered. As he began to run, he stopped. He looked around at the troops beginning to pull back, and made the decision that he would be one of the last men to make it back to the defensive line. As the group ran, men died. But the suppression fire from the second defensive line helped. Killinger took a knee and fired at some grunts before getting up and running again, trailing most of the pack. IT was a full out sprint that the two companies where moving as, running for there lives. A real full retreat. Most of the men made it back, but a lot had died trying to either defend the retreat or retreating themselves.

Hebipu Wivi Yija
As the Legion Master sent Hebipu and his kin forward to the humans' deadly defenses, the Mgalekgolo defended against the humans' murderous onsluaghter with valiant effort.
Their body armor were powerful, akin to the mighty hulls of Covenant ships, and it showed well as bullets pinged of their armor and shields. Mgalekgolo were the Covenant's mightiest warriors, nearly unstoppable and feared by all but the most skilled of warriors.
Their advances slowed as the humans fired powerful cannons that were offspring to their ships' accelerated cannons. Thankfully they were much weaker than their true forms or they would have been slaughtered.
Hebipu growled as he noticed his shield start to dent deeply with each shot, one shot pierced through his arm, and nearly into his breastplate. He have been been killed if was for the sudden explosion that thrown him off his feet and caught his side.
Howling in pain, the colony squirming under his armor as the heat burned some of his body.
But the pain ran deeper than that, looking to his side with two of his four eyes, he saw the motionless husk of his bond brother, or rather other half of their original form, laying in a pool of orange blood. He already sensed it but...he had to see for him.
The charge flew past him, of all species of the Covenant rushing by him. Moving weakly to his fallen mate, Hebipu knelt down to the body and saw Nuheno look at him just as weakly.
Both halves of the colony vibrated and Hebipu seem to craddle the fallen warrior in sorrow, but the remaining host of eels slithered from the fallen body to their new host, conjoining with their colony to one again.
Hebipu felt different, he felt his lifeforce returning to a greater height, strength enhanced, and rage burn tenfold.
Standing up a little taller than before, the furious Mgalekgolo roared and charged, caring only to rip the enemy asunder, even crushing a few allies on the way.
Getting back into the frontlines, he crushed a human under his foot, swung his shield, cleaving four in one savage swing and fired his assault cannon in a lance of fuel rod energy, evaporizing several more.
Revenge will be his!
Suddenly he caught a missile rushing at him. With a vibrating growl, he swatt it aside with his shield, knocking it off course, and exploded into a rank of humans.
Spotting the human responsible, he aimed his gun, and charged it. Seeing this, the human was wide-eyed and tried to make a retreat with its fellows.
Vibrating a dark chuckle, Hebipu fired a charged blast, and completely vaporized the human and a few others around it. Howling in glory, Hebigu and the rest of the remaining legion gave the chase to the city.
Legion Master 'Zumakai
Laughing in dark pleasure as he sliced through the human cur like paper with his blazing energy sword, artful in his movements and deadly in his strikes. Decapitating one, spinning to the side as he deflected incoming bullets with his arm shield as well as his powerful armor shields.
His golden armor and headdress a clear indication of his rank as Legion Master but none who confronted him could suvive long enough to actually wound him and when his shields were close to depleted, he manuevered easily through his warriors, waiting for them to regenerate before returning to battle.
Jumping into battle once more, he mentally counted twenty humans have fallen to his blade and skill. That's when they were retreating.
"The cowards now follow to fear!" The Legion Master roared to himself and to his warriors, through both his booming voice and comlink, "Strike them down as they cower before us!"
The Wraiths and heavy weapon specialists still rained their holy flames upon the field, drawing closer to get more range into the humans. The Mgalekgolo cluster is reduce to three bond brothers and a handful of berserking loners, which helped immensely in the charge, especially the destruction of the last of the humans' blasted tanks in this defense. Very few ghosts and choppers still ventured on the field, sprinting against the field, crushing the enemy vehicles as they went.
With the humans' last attack, the legion have lessened to a near five creches from the orginal ten but still enough to combat the dying vermin. As he and his warriors pursued the humans to their near defense line with equal determination, he hoped that Chieftain and its irk is going according to plan or this is a waste of his legion and time.
Ranger Ultra 'Dakolee
Surveying the human base with his helmet's internal mechanisms on a building, the camouflaged legion ranger commander Eza 'Dakolee have been studying the base's outer defenses for a while now, hearing the battle in the city. Then he felt one of his scouts returning from their assignment, "Anything?" He asked without moving his eyes from the base.
"The base is defended on all sides," The scout reported, "and no signs of the Jiralhanae anywhere."
Growling under his helmet, Eza thought to report to the Legion Master about this, but decided against it. He have heard about these Jiralhanae, especially their chieftain, and none of it was good at all in civil terms.
He prayed to the Gods that this plan will work. However, he didn't know how lucky he was on terms of the Jiralhanae's involvement.
Underneath the base right now several meters under, the Jiralhanae were digging.

Captain Killinger Secondary Defensive Line Battalion Actual
The Captain looked up at the incoming Covenant Forces. This defensive line wasn't a solid wall. The intersections were littered with large one story barriers with a M41 LAAG gun in the middle of them, two per intersection. The city wasn't very big, but the UNSC was doing all it could to defend the civilians inside it. The secondary defensive line was followed by a third one with even less defenses, but strong enough to keep back a small army. Thanks to the UNSC Fleet in orbit, the UNSC moon was still fairly secure around the city. Two pelican's throttled up as they dropped off two Scorpion Main Battle Tanks, but didn't get far before Covenant air were shooting at them. Luckily, getting this close to the city the UNSC 'Combat Air Patrol' was already on them. One banshee went down, followed by the second as a single long-sword screamed over head. Gunners along the wall opened up as the troops got close. "All snipers, pick a target and fire on my mark!" The Captain said. He waited five seconds, and screamed "Fire!" into his microphone. As a result, a loud crack resounded through out the allyways, buildings and general area of twenty snipers firing all within three seconds of each other. Killinger didn't see what went down, but he knew that at least half of the sharp-shooters had reported 'Kill Confirmed' through the communication devices. The Captain smiled as the two tanks rolled past and positioned themselves behind the protection of a barrier wall down the road. The barrels rotated into position, and fired. The Captain realized the last transmission from the pelicans. These where the last two tanks from the Arizona's complement. That means that the remaining where deployed on either the Covenant Moon, or further back into the city. Seven tanks, two of which where from the Arizona, where destroyed on the first forward defensive line. The Captain sighed. Not much for vehicles anymore. A total of twelve M12 'Hogs, seven of them M41 and five Gauss, plus two Scorpion tanks. Killinger quickly devised a strategy. Six 'Hogs retreated into the city, as the remaining six re-positioned and fired on the Covenant troops. Four of then M41 'Hogs, two of them Gauss. The bullets and Gauss rounds impacted the troops, as they pushed in on the defensive line. "Battalion Actual to all units, hold the line! We just got here ladies!" The Captain screamed over the mic and fired into the nearest pair of grunts. Seventeen rounds later, and three grunts fell on the ground dead. The blue elite turned, and a pair of Marines engaged him.. Or her. The elite stumbled back as the tank to its right finished it off with a HE round. As the smoke cleared, the small unit was completely dead. Two elites, and roughly twelve grunts had been killed by the tanks high explosive shell. "Heads up!" Someone yelled over the comm. The Captain and twelve marines by him dashed across the street as a blue motor impacted the side of the metal building. It slugged, melted and cooled. No debris, just molten metal. Killinger let out a grunt, "Tank commanders! Target those wraiths!". Killinger rolled to the right as two purple needles streamed past him. Another blue elite had rounded the corner and started firing on his position. A fireteam of Marines moved to the right and opened fire, along with the Captain. The elite returned fire and killed one of the engaging marines with needles to the neck and chest, but the stream of 7.62 MM rounds popped his shield and put dozens of holes in him. The Captain ceased fire, pushed the magazine release and inserted a new magazine. He pushed the charging handle back and a new round slid into the receiver. The marine that was hit earlier was confirmed dead as the needles exploded and ripped his upper body apart. A few marines grimaced at the sight. "Tighten up your fields of fire! Get that lead out Marines!" The Captain bellowed, as he fired from the hip into a jackals shields, who was finished off by one of the twenty snipers strategically placed around the city. The kill count was just climbing. Two grunts and another jackal took the now dead Jackals place. The Captain produced a HE Frag Grenade, primed the explosive device, and threw it. The Jackal survived the explosion thanks to its arm shield, but it failed during the process. The multiple marines in the area where able to pick it off quite easily. Window glass fell onto the street as some panels un-clipped from the vibration of the grenade detonation. The Marines where putting up a hasty defense against the attacking Covenant Forces.

Legion Master 'Zumakai
They have made it into the city at least and the humans now start to hide in rats. Snipers took a good portion of his front-line but the Legion Master acted quick, ordering lances to move into the buildings and get rid of them. Just then tanks started to fire at them again, their attention mostly on the Wraiths now, and he ordered the same for them.
When he turned to one of his Ultras, he blinked as the poor soul exploded into a mist of blood and bits of armor and flesh. Glancing, he saw another of those accursed "Worthogs", and ordered the seven remaining Choopers to mow through them, with four ghosts as auxilitary.
In his commandeering, he was shot in the shoulder by a sniper. Feeling the bullet rip through his shield and armor, the Legion Master snarled as the bullet ripped through his shoulder, with his adrenline being the only thing keeping the pain from spiking his nerves.
Moving low, he danced around a couple more sniper shots, and finally one of the Kig-yar had the thought to shoot the sniper down. He will make sure to find out who that kig-yar was after this for a promotion.
Recollecting himself, he ordered the Artillery Commander to summon the Anti-Air Wraiths and a creche from the captured outpost. They are starting to lose too many in this fight.
Chieftain Valerius
After much blasting from Albus and his Unggoy, they started to feel the end of their labor. Seeing a ray of light, Albus smiled, and with a brutal excitement, he lept through the weakened floor, and landed to see a group of surprised humans in their bed.
Smiling darkly, the Captain fired his spikers, killing everyone in the room as they screamed. The room was cleared and it seemed no one heard them.
Then the rest of the pack crawled out with Valerius as last. "Finally, I was starting to suffocate in there." Carberus complained, brushing the dirt off of him.
The Chieftain sniffed and growled in response, unholstered his mauler aimed it at the door, just as a human stepped into the room. "Hey, guys. What you-" It said before seeing the huge aliens in the room and his head exploded.
"Slaughter everyone who get in our way. Call the Rangers." Valerius ordered before leading his pack to a bloody glory.
Carberus smiled under his helm at the command.
Ranger Ultra 'Dakolee
Looking at the signal, the Sangheili blinked, "They did it. Unit 1, begin the barrage!" He ordered and on another building, fuel rod blasts flew across the field and slammed into the base defenses.

Zaxax Unggoy Ultra Zaxax and his lance charged with the rest of the Covenant forces, but checked around them to makes sure that they weren't crushed by other, larger charging soldiers. As they neared the Humans main defense line, they began to fire upon the enemy. Zaxax fire 3 Plasma rounds into the chest of a marine, then finished it off with another shot to the head. Salal fired repeatedly into the back of a marine running towards the defense line with his Plasma Rifle, and Tapap and Kajaj shredded blew marines apart with their needlers. As they charged, the Unggoy lance soon came upon the Human's defense line, and gunfire was all around them. "Take Cover!" Zaxax screamed, and the lance hid behind a small building. "On the count of three, we're going to go inside and blast the hell out of any heretic humans in there!" Zaxax yelled to his team. "One, two, three!" The Unggoy ran inside the building and found two marines firing out the windows. Zaxax and Salal fired at the first one, until he lay on the floor dead, smoking from the plasma shots, while Tapap and Kajaj blew the second one apart in a matter of seconds with both their needlers. "Nice job! Now, we go back outside, and kill more of those f***ers!" Zaxax said, then charged back outside, looking for more humans, and when he turned the corner, he found three, but they already had their wepons ready. He quickly threw a plasma grenade at the trio, but his right arm took multiple rounds, and he could no longer use it. He had dropped his Plasma Pistol, and had to hold it in his left hand now. He turned back around the corner to find the humans had not gotten away in time, and they had exploded all over the wall and the ground. Zaxax was happy he had avenged his arm, his poor arm.

Captain Killinger Secondary Defensive Line Battalion Actual
The Captain swore. "LET THEM HAVE IT!" He screamed at the top of his lungs trying to raise moral. Three fire-teams split off and entered into the nearest building to the right. "Battalion snipers, pick your targets! Kill off the elites!" The Captain screamed into the microphone. The snipers responded, but this time only sixteen shots fired, meaning four were either engaged or dead. When the Captain saw a beam hit one of his former companies snipers chest and go down, the Captain knew that he would have to change tactics. The Captain watched as the two tanks, and the remaining Warthogs dished out punishments. Killinger rotated, fired into the group of three grunts that where stupid enough to try to run across the road and took them down with a few bursts from his MA37. Well the gun wasn't very good at long range fire-fights, bursting the weapon with three or four rounds trigger pulls put the weapon in a whole new ball game, and it was pretty accurate at longer distances. "Battalion Snipers, return fire on Covenant snipers, but focus on the elites as well." The Captain quickly ordered. "Relocate after every shot." He added. The human sniper fire lessened, but still kept up at a decent pace. A few energy bolts flew from the Captain's right, and he rotated a UNSC sniper blew the head off the grunt that decided to shoot at Killinger. Seven more took it's place. Two other marines engaged the grunts. Two of the Covenant troopers went down before the Captain could get a beat on the position. As one of the two marines was hit between the shoulders, Killinger had begun firing into the position with five round trigger squeezes. The rounds impacted the nearest grunt in the head and took him out of the fight permanently. A few more trigger pulls, and two more grunts fell to the floor dead, but not before they managed to kill the second marine who was engaging with Killinger. The Captain ducked behind a destroyed car and produced a fragmentation grenade from his mag pouch. The primed the explosive device, and threw it towards the remaining grunts. The four grunts could rip apart the Captain if he popped up from cover. The grenade detonated, and not even a cry remained. The close proximity of Covenant energy weapons dis-charging forced the Captain to run into the closest parking lot. The Captain scanned his areas, noticed a trail of bronze brass and followed it. As he rounded the corners, a single elite was hovering over two more dead elites. The Captain rotated his hips, fired at fully automatic as the shields flared up from the un-suspecting elite. The creature turned, brought his weapon to bare before Killinger rolled to cover and let the nearly empty thirty-two round magazine fall to the flood. The elite must have heard the rattle of the magazine hitting spent brass, as it charged out of the corner and nearly threw the Captain across the room. Luckily, the Marine Officer had stepped back as the blue had collided with a solid metal beam the Captain had previously rolled over too. The Marine pulled out his M6D, and at this range he wouldn't miss. The Captain pulled the trigger, and began to advance as he moved in on the elite who stumbled back-wards. The Covenant warriors shield fell, and three of the M6D Magnum rounds impacted the creatures head. It fell to the ground dead. The Captain took a deep breath, as a fire team of four Marines approached, approved the dead elite and the Captain, and entered the building. Killinger had come toe-to-toe with an elite before, hell even an 'Inquisitor' but never this close, when he was inches away from death. Killinger ran outside to find that the two tanks had retreated from the former area they where in to the left and right, reversed, of buildings. The loud SWOOSH of a tank round flying past the Captain's head was identification to duck and retreat back into the parking lot. He ran in a circle up the three story parking lot and looked out from the top. Their was a sniper up here, and he was firing at a few Jackals when a beam slammed into the metal structural beam behind the Captain. Again, he had cheated death. But, that's what war was. Cheating death long enough to survive the war. The Sniper continued his job, and took out the Jackal sniper. Killinger decided to stay up here as it was a nice advantage point and allowed him to see the majority of the battle. The Captain noticed seven 'Choppers' angling towards one of the five remaining Warthogs in this defensive position. A tank turret pivoted, and fired. Two of the Covenant vehicles exploded. A ghost, and one of the Choppers, but not before the remaining over whelmed the lone vehicle. The crew dismounted, just to be ran over by the blades of the Choppers. The Captain swore, as the second Scorpion fired. Another Brute Chopper was down. Good the Captain thought. One of the Gauss 'Hogs fired at the remaining ghosts, and thanks to the combined fire from the two at the defensive line where able to destroy the remaining ghosts. The gunners yelped and cheered as the Choppers fled back towards the rear of the advancing line, and the Captain couldn't help but feel his morale gaining because of the small victories they had during a battle. They may have lost two Warthogs and a dozen good soldiers, but the three Choppers and four Ghosts that sat destroyed in a bluish-purple flame was a nice sight.

Major Ziin Shal'toree "Good." Ziin said. He drew his bow, opening it with a flip of his hand. He moved with the rest of the Covenant forces into the outskirts of the city, then directed his lance into the interior of a building, an arrow nocked and ready to fire. Two humans rounded a corner, rifles raised. Ziin fired, the arrow going through the lead human's leg. Gat killed the second with a burst from her beam rifle. The concentrated plasma burned through the human's stomach, blood splashing onto the floor. The rest of the two humans' lance took cover behind the corner and various pieces of rubble while three gave covering fire. "Move!" Ziin snarled, rolling behind a half-destroyed wall. "Gat, Raz, try to circle around. Jhar, get busy with your grenades. Lusa, with me. The rest of you, stay here and fight as best you can."

Zaxax ran further, and at one point he and his lance came upon three Unggoy minors running in circles screaming, as their leader had been killed. "Fellow Unggoy! You're going to get killed like that, come help my lance!" Zaxax yelled, and the Unggoy realized they had been rescued, and quickly fell in line with Zaxax's lance.
As they progressed through the city, Zaxax and his lance soon came upon a small building. There was repeated gunfire shots coming from the building, and the lance walked inside. The gunfire was coming from upstairs, and they began to ascend the stairs. "Be as quiet as you can." Zaxax whispered. As they ascended, they reached a landing, in which the firs Unggoy Minor stepped onto. He turned to the right, and the other Unggoy watched as he convulsed multiple times from gunshots, then fell to the floor, dead. Zaxax and the lance were ready now, as they knew what was coming for them.
"Fire!" Zaxax yelled. The Unggoy lance stepped onto the landing, and let their bullets fly. There was a marine with an assault rifle giving a sniper and his spotter cover. The marine was unexpected for how many Unggoy there were, and thus took multiple plasma burns and crystalline shards to the chest, and he flew across the room as the needler rounds exploded. The Unggoy lance then turned towards the sniper and spotter. "Kill the heretics!" Zaxax yelled. At this point the spotter looked behind them in time to see secen angry Unggoy release a deadly salvo of crystal and plasma in his direction. The sniper and spotter fell to the ground, pale and lifeless.
Zaxax and the lance then walked back down the stairs in time to see a fireteam of ODST's run past. The Unggoy lance waited in the building for them to pass, knowing that they were no match for a whole fireteam of ODST's. They then walked outside, and watched the battle outside unfold.

Legion Master 'Zumakai
As his dying legion was gaining a foothold in the city, the humans' resilience was admirable and gained some respect from 'Zumakai but the Legion Master still mobilized his warriors forward, his vehicle assault gone to ruins, and losing some Wraiths in the progress.
Soon his reinforcements will come in and ease the pain of things. Starting to feel his blood sipping through his wound, the Legion Master roared in frustation, deflecting a burst of projectiles from a human with his shields restored, and cut it down with a swipe of his sword.
Focusing, he looked at the humans' wall. Accessing his comlink, he ordered his remaining tanks to destroy it completely and all humans around it.
One of his creches started moving through the buildings for flanking.
He wandered who commanded these humans, he wanted the distinctive honor of killing such a capable leader to have resisted him so well.
Chieftain Valerius
Slaughtering through the humans like the weak animals they were, Valerius found little amusement as he cut them down left to right with his axes, and his pack razed through them easily.
Bucking back at a sudden shotgun blast, Valerius blinked to see a brave human warrior cocking its gun for another shot. Bringing his huge axe up to deflect the scattershot, he growled, and sliced the little being down the middle with its twin.
Moving the bloody pieces aside, he saw more of the warriors rushing to stop his attack. Chuckling, he gripped his axes hard, activating their gravity repulsors, and slammed them to the ground, let the artifical gravity travel through the floor and explode infront of him, sending many of them flying in different directions.
The others were stunned long enough for Therus' mad Unggoy to ravage them with bloody tusks and feral claws.
The screaming, the blood, the starting fires, a Jiralhanae's job is never done.
