This RP takes place in the year 2552, roughly the same time as Halo 2, on a remote Ring-World of unknown origin. Not much is known about this ring-world; it was only just discovered by a UNSC sapper ship on a remote mission. It's location is remote enough that transmissions will take several months to arrive at Earth, though there are a few remote colonies nearby that have sent several combat ships to assist the UNSC forces.
The sapper ship that located the ring was following a Covenant Assault Carrier. Though the sapper ship was shot down and destroyed, the troops on board it landed mostly intact. There is good news for the UNSC however; several ships have just arrived and shot down the Assault Carrier. For the moment, the UNSC has the upper hand.
The ring itself is made of an unknown material, however the land-area on the inside appears to be comprised primarily of water. There are a few sections that have land areas, and quite a few areas that resemble glaciers. The ring appears to have fully self-sufficient environment systems, though whether these are natural or artificial remains to be seen. There are structures on the entire surface of the ring, including some on the water sections, however they all appear to be completely deserted.
