Llau ‘Medomee entered the coliseum, holding two energy swords in his hands. He walked until he was in the middle of the large fighting area, and stopped. As he stood there confidently, the Sangheili turned in a circle for a moment; gazing intently at his surroundings as he waited for the one who he was going to fight against. He gazed toward the entrance, and waited calmly for the Spartan to arrive. (( OOC: This is between me and Dave's character. Just so everyone knows. I'm a bit rusty, and so is he. Might as well do something fun, right? xD ))

As Spartan 054, or Leo, as he preferred to be called, entered the coliseum, he took in the sight of the imposing Sangheili with its two energy swords activated. Unimpressed, Leo walked confidently up to the centre of the arena.
Taking up a fighting stance, Leo looked at his enemy and said "Your move, ugly."

“Hmm,” ‘Medomee chuckled lightly. “I’m not the one hiding my face behind a helmet, human.” He shrugged, looking a bit amused, but briefly.
He deactivated one of the energy swords and threw it toward Leo.
“You demons have proven your worth to me. Honor me with this battle by wielding that sword. Or don’t. Hand-to-hand would also be far better. Anyone can use a weapon.”
He stepped back, glaring down at the Spartan as he readied himself for a fight. “What say you, human?”

Leo smirked behind his helmet. So they have a sense of humor after all.
Suddenly the Sangheili de-activated the one energy sword it was holding and threw to the ground in front of Leo.
“You demons have proven your worth to me. Honor me with this battle by wielding that sword. Or don’t. Hand-to-hand would also be far better. Anyone can use a weapon.”
Stepping back, the Sangheili readied himself. "What say you, Human?"
Bending over, Leo snatched up the sword and activated it in one swift fluid motion and brought himself into a fighting position. "Sounds good to me. Lets dance"

‘Medomee seem to smirk a little at that, and chuckled lightly as he gave a nod at him. "Gladly."
Any Sangheili who wasn't that experienced in sword-fighting would've attacked first. Patience was the key. He kept his blade up and pointed toward the human as he gradually side-stepped to the left.

Arching an eyebrow, Leo watched as the Sangheili side-stepped to the left. Clearly an experienced fighter. He thought.
Stepping slightly to the right, Leo shifted his weight to his right leg, shifting his centre of gravity.
Launching off his right foot, Leo lunged at the Sangheili, swinging his sword-arm in a wide arc, not meant to strike, but throw his opponent off balance, and judging by the way the the Sangheili fell for it, Leo had done well.
Recovering from his lunge, he grinned. "Your move."

The Sangheili quickly jumped back when the Spartan swung at him, and landed in a low crouch. He growled quietly, but smirked.
“You would do that, human.” He stood up, walking toward the left again, and looking like he dropped his guard carelessly, but didn’t as he kept his sword down at his side as he gazed at Leo, but then swiftly brought up his sword as he rushed at him, brought it halfway down toward the Spartan’s head, and then quickly stopped as he passed him, turned, and roughly pushed him away.
“You want to play? I’ll play, too.”

Recovering from the rough push with a flourish, Leo watched as his shield bar slowly filled back from 1/2, the heat had drained them by half.
"Play time is over" Leo growled.
Bringing his sword-arm to bear, Leo went into an aggressive lunge, thrusting his energy sword savagely at the Sangheili.

‘Medomee side-stepped at every swing of the Spartan’s blade, and swung back a few with his own sword; creating sparks as the two energy swords made a connection. He laughed.
“You fight like the younger Sangheili warriors - So brash. There’s too much anger in your swings, human.”
He growled, blocking as Leo’s blade tried to cut down the middle of him. He wrapped his hand around his own wrist of his sword-hand to give it more strength, and then pushed him back.

"Well excuse me for not having years of training... Oh wait!" Snapped Leo, Grabbing the hand of the Sangheili and using his backwards momentum, fell down on his back, launched the Sangheili backwards with his foot.
Sprawled on the floor, The Sangheili muttered under its breath.
Walking up to the fallen warrior, Leo looked down and laughed. "Your not the only one who's had a lifetime of experience."

'Medomee tightly grasped the Spartan's ankle just as he rolled onto his hands and knees, and then grabbed his neck with his free hand and launched him up off of his feet and slammed him down on the ground with a heavy thud.
"Your arrogance knows no bounds, demon."

Stunned from the impact, Leo recognized his mistake. Indeed, his arrogance had caused this predicament.
Gagging, The Sangheili's grip on his throat grew tighter, His eyesight started to blur and his mind started to grow fuzzy. Then he started seeing and hearing a voice in the back of his mind.
"YOU MUST ALWAYS BE ONE STEP AHEAD LEO" shouted a grizzled old man, kneeling beside him as he was trapped in the same hold. "Remember your training!"
Snapping back to reality, the voices echoing and fading in his head, Leo contracted his body and shot out from his assailants grip, the technique of 'Shrimping' had served him well once again.
Gasping for air, Leo still had the wits about him to swing his left leg from left to right, catching the Sangheili by suprise and causing him to slam to the ground.
Standing over the Sangheili, Leo quickly got on top of the miserable alien and straddled it, Taking fist shots at the poor excuse of an alien face.

'Medomee brought his hands up to shield his face for a few moments, smirked and grabbed one of the human's fist with one hand and grasped the other one, pushed up, and then managed to flip him over so the Spartan was on his back. He rolled back and ended up being over Leo. He tightly grabbed him by the neck with one hand, and brought his right arm back just as an Energy dagger appeared from the top of his wrist that formed from within the thicker part of his armor on his arm.
"Were it so easy?"
He quickly thrust his right arm down, and plunged the blade into Leo's chest.

Gasping at the pain of the dagger, He felt it pierce his heart. He knew he was done. He just had one last duty to do.
Snatching a plasma grenade off his belt, He activated it and quickly slapped it onto the tiresome Sangheili's chest. and with his last bit of strength grabbed the Sangheili by the throat and lifted his head to its head.
"If I'm going to hell. Your coming with me." Snarled Leo as a blue white flash detonated. The last thing Leo saw was that of his brother Spartans, welcoming him home. He couldn't be happier.
Then there was nothing.

The Sangheili snarled, grinned just as he pulled back, revealing the hologram of his figure the Spartan was really holding, and then 'Medomee took three steps back and turned just as the plasma grenade exploded. The explosion sent him flying off of his feet and then landed roughly to the ground and rolled several times before coming to a stop.
He laid there for a while before turning around to sit up and looked at the small crater where the Spartan once was. He panted, and shook his head.

"If you want to hunt humans, remember we always travel in packs." The voice of Victor 126 calmly echoed through the coliseum. He walked in, slowly and calmly. In his hands he held a long tube which he leveled at the Sangheili. Taking aim, Victor leveled the weapon at the disgusting alien's chest and fired. The sonic clap split the air as the 20mm slug streaked through the air towards its target. Crouching higher on the wall of the Colosseum, Lucifer silently watched through her sniper scope as the fellow SPARTAN met his end... Bloody good way to go, if only he had taken the Elite with him.
When the second entered Lucifer chose to make her presence known, firing a single warning shot between the Elite and the other SPARTAN, giving whistle as she watched the big weapon fire. Looked fun to use, but Lucifer herself was not a fan of big guns...
She was a fan of killing Elites however...

He stood up and looked for a final time at where the Spartan died, but then blinked.
“Hmm?”
Upon hearing the other human speaking, he turned toward the direction of the voice and looked at the newcomer. Next, he took a step back when a sniper fired in between them, but didn’t bother to look up toward the direction that the bullet came from. Not now. He stared at the weapon in Victor’s hand briefly, but then rolled out of the way just before the Spartan fired; cringing as he nearly felt it hit him in the back as it whizzed past.
He rolled over his shoulder on the ground and came back up to a crouch position and looked at him again, and then looked up to search for the other human who was firing the sniper gun. He kept moving around, never staying in the same pattern, but then activated his active camouflage, which would only give him a few seconds, but he would use those seconds to find a weapon to defend himself before it would deactivate and recharge.

Victor frowned at the miss, Sangheili could be damn fast when they wanted to be. He smiled as it turned on its AvCam, and he turned on VISR.
"To quote a man, 'You can run, but you can't hide.' Squid-head." He saw the red outline of the Elite running, nearly clear as day. Snapping up his MA5B, he leveled it dead-on the fleeing figure and opened fire with a hail of short, controlled bursts.

Loading her Sniper Lucifer slowly moved along the wall, scanning carefully amd turning on VISR. When she saw the outline of the target, she also fired off two sniper shots.
She intended to add this Elite to the Grim Reapers collection...
