My idea is simple: A battle that rages across a peaceful countryside in sangheilios, between two rival clans. You may play as anything from a lowly peasant, drafted into their Kaidon's millitary, to a high born commander, leading men into battlef for honor and glory. The battle will either take place wih mideval technology (think pre guns in feudal japan), or when blackpowder was first used in firearms (you would be armed with some form of early musket-like weapon).
The two clans that are fighting are at war over a disputed border, one of such little significance that the only thing keeping the fight going is the rival Kaidons' egos. The war has lasted several years, and the local peasants are tired and angry. Both sides are drained. The two clans are as follows:
Ra'askum: This clan's main keep is located in the Ra'askam Mountains, which have, over millions of years, been weathered down to little more than large hills. The clan has lived here for generations, and is one of the oldest clans in this part of sangheilios. They have always layed claim to the valley of whispering waters, a place named for its small waterfalls that seem to give a voice to the river. Recently, a rival clan made an offer of various rare goods in exchange for the valley. Insulted at the idea, the Kaidon ordered the messenger executed, resulting in violence between the two sides.
Advantages:
-Extremely well trained army of professional soldiers
-Knows the land
Disadvantages:
-Limited technology
-Limited Numbers
T'astrim: This seafaring clan has been expanding their already large territory peacfully for years, but when the Kaidon of Ra'askum ordered the murder of one of their messengers, they declared war. They posess a massive number of soldiers, including mercenaries from nearby desert clans. they also posess weapons and war machines not seen before in this region of sangheilios
Advantages:
-Numbers
-Newer technology
Disadvantages:
-Armies are made up of peasants and mercenaries
-This land is unfamiliar to them
The Valley of Whispering Waters' border has been moving back and forth for years. Recently, with an infusion of resh soldiers on both sides, the upcoming battle will be of a scale never seen before. The two clan camps can be found on either side of the River of Whispering Waters, and both are massive, with over a thousand Ra'askum in the camp nearest the mountains, and almost five thousand T'astrim mercenaries living in the eastern camp, nearest the ocean.
Liberties I'm taking:
Besides the ones stated above, I'm also taking a few more. For example, the flora and fauna of sangheilios is not well described. The Ta'astim do not have mounts. However, the mountain clan makes use of a large, six legged, predatury reptile, with sticky pads on their feet, so as to scale walls.
MORE DETAILS WILL BE ADDED IF ENOUGH PEOPLE JOIN!
If at least four others join, then I will work on it over the next week. I promise that it will be done by next saturday.
