.:Shipmaster's Report, Unit 1416 , 23rd cycle of the Age of Reclamation:.

We have escaped with the Humans precious data packet. It is only a matter of time before we learn their secrets that have sacrificed so much to keep from us. However, the Assault Carrier was damaged in the battle above the Human world of Arcadia and its Slipspace drive has failed in mid flight.

We arrived in a system which contains two gas giants and 3 planets, only one of which was habitable. With life support systems failing we were forced to land on the planet, which is supposedly habitable, and I use the word lightly in this case. The planet is able to sustain life but its surface is a hot and barren volcanic wasteland. The air is breathable but only through filtration masks due to that sulfurous fumes in the air.

Repairs have begun but are going slow. The planets toxic atmosphere is slowing down the Huragoks progress. Even if they do finish repairs, we are still in a tight spot. We were forced to leave much of the ground detachment behind and the Ship is only half staffed with a few thousand troops and the crew itself. We will not be able to hold out for very long if the Humans do manage to find our location, which I very much doubt due to their primitive nature. Regardless, I have ordered the remaining troops to set up defenses around the Grav lift and to patrol and scout the surrounding area.

I have sent ahead for reinforcements but there is no telling how long it will take for them to arrive. Communications are greatly disrupted by the magnetic field of this planet.

This place has already claimed two lances of troops in the short time we have been here. The sooner we repair the ship, the sooner we can deliver the precious cargo to the heirarchs who will surely reward us for our efforts...

Primary Objectives

• Patrol the surrounding area. Stay alert, Humans may attempt to land to retrive the data.

• If there are any signs of an attack, inform the Assault Carrier immediately before engaging the enemy.

• Once the Carrier is alerted, proceed to defend it at all costs. They will no doubt attempt to capture the Grav lift. There are adequite defences in place but even they might not be enough.

• If the Grav lift has been captured, either retreat and regroup away from the site or stay aboad the Carrier to await instructions.

Primary Objectives

• You have been tasked with defending the Assault Carrier. We do not expect a Human attack but they are unpredictable to say the least. Stay aboard the Carrier or at your post defending the Grav lift and do not let them fall into enemy hands.
