(I-Check/OOC) City Occupation RP

Hello Yappas :V Its me again. That chicken that seems to always be scratching something into the dirt


So this idea was floated awhile ago and had a few biters but not really enough for a thread. That is until a few others saw it when I was discussing another idea. As such I am putting it here for perhaps easier chats and the like and less chance of something being missed.

So, after this trailer came out;



I floated the idea of doing some RP in an occupied city. I originally said that this could be a wartime Covenant occupation where they moved in and cut communications but then didnt start to kill everyone. Lots of confusion even by the Covie ground troops as they probably were not told the real reason for all this. Instead the Humans were supposed to just work and proceed as normal just with a Sangheili being your friendly neighborhood police officer instead. This I think could lead to kind of open RP with the civilians finally getting a lot at the aliens when its not shaky news footage of them screaming and shooting. Perhaps curious as to what they are really like. Meanwhile older marines or Innies or milita people are meeting in secret trying to find out whats happening. Could be as simple as the ship taking over the Human settlement needs food so gimme the harvest. Or some experiment, or an artifact was found.

But other suggestions were;
* Just after the war ends. So everyone is really unsure about the future and so are kind of just hoping for the best before perhaps the UNSC show up with guns ready if the aliens were assholes.
* Its Humans Post War taking over a Covenant colony instead. Some poetic justice as its time to work harder the UNSC want those plasma drives and canons!
* Or a Post War Remnant faction takes over a place. Like the Banished or any other flavor of Remnant. 


Lots of options and interested to see what people think would be fun so we can decide on what setting to go for ^.^

After seeing the Halo Infinite multiplayer trailer, I'd definitely RP in a Banished-occupied city/planet

The city in the trailer was regular covenant occupied. Bee Spartan was too young for it to be banished by that time and all the armor and gear on the brutes was blue not red.

But glad we have interest and one vote for humans being on the occupied side. Did you want wartime or another time?

I put up a poll but in general would like to know what specific situation you are interested in doing as there are more than one option here so I'd like to know for sure which idea you would be interested in doing so we can narrow down the overall idea and talk specifics to get the thread made.

So it seems were are decided on a post war thread where aliens of some kind occupy a Human city.

So now comes the time to narrow it down once more!

Shall it be just after the wars end or maybe as its happening? So the """"Covenant"""" ship that takes over the settlement is full of doubt about what tomorrow will hold so isnt killing everyone in case that goes poorly. So instead they try to keep a hold on it and keep the settlement muffled while they wait for word from their superiors.

Or its a Covenant Remnant faction, Banished/Servants of Abiding Truth/Keepers of the One Freedom, taking over a settlement a few months/years after the war ends? Trying to become the lords of a settlement because they need supplies. Or need something else from the settlement?

Or other ideas are open as well for discussion.

I think it should be very recently after the war. A Covenant ship led by a particularly fanatical or stubborn leader takes control of the city and keeps the people alive because they need the supplies. Making it a desperate situation for that shipmaster and his followers, one of many remnant warlords, would make it interesting on their side, too.

I'll probably be a Kig sniper put on police patrol duty with a translator helmet or headset. This sounds rather fun. I'll try to get a thread up in the next day and have also renamed this to the ooc as well.

Something I thought would be helpful and one Ill try to keep updated;

Possible plot points mentioned by a character;
- Humans, desperate or seeing an opportunity in the chaos, have taken to looting seemingly their fellow humans. Both non-looters and Covenant dislike this.
- A few Covenant may be abusing their positions of power to take from, injure, or murder Humans. Bad for both sides.
- The planet may have a store of gas/liquid that could be made into plasma for the vessel. May need time or extra supplies to extract.
- Riots may be possible by humans scared of the future. Must be handled very carefully to not ruin the situation on the planet.
- Both the Covenant and the city are cut off for their sources of information about the galaxy. They will likely need to work together to establish contact again.

Unmentioned but still possible plot points; (As in may not happen but ideas for plot points. Free to suggest more)
- Humans or Covenant going missing, both sides would want to investigate this.
- The supply of food will likely be stressed by the Covenant occupation. There may be a shortage soon once the stores are expended feeding those ravenous Unggoy.
- The Covenant ships damage and bleeding fuel may be worse than first seen. Forcing it to land fully and putting the Covenant in a much worse position.
- Perhaps super bad storm?
- A fire through the city.
