Hello everyone, it's been several years since I posted here. A lot of things got in the way of my continued presence here, and even though I was very enthused to be a part of this community, I just wasn't able to keep up. However, I recently went through some rather old files and realized how much work I had put into several of my characters that I had written for the site, with two of them being some of my favorite creative writing pieces I've ever done. When I looked over them, I was pretty sad that even though I had gone through so much work to bring those characters to life, I was ultimately never able to put them into the world that had been populated here on this site. So, I decided that I should put them here in a thread, free for anyone to pick up and run with (with mod permission of course!) and also change or edit to fit that person more rather than myself.
I was disappointed that these characters were vaulted in my google drive and that no one would ever get to see or use what I had created. Even if no one sees this, or ends up using these characters to any extent, I just wanted to be sure that they would be posted somewhere and not buried forever. I do hope that someone reading through them finds either inspiration to create something of their own, or becomes attached to what I have written enough to carry on with them and give my writing some purpose beyond simply.. existing.
As a side note, I'd just like to thank everyone whom I interacted with almost daily for several months in 2016, you all didn't know it, but you helped me through a really rough time in my life that I had no way in real life to deal with. Having a creative outlet allowed me to build my confidence and have something to take my mind off of what was happening at the time, and I sincerely thank you all for encouraging me to write, for giving me something to strive for with the review/validation process, and for unknowingly being there when times were tough.
