[I-Check/OOC] Pelican Down

Semi survival kind of RP thread. Could be canon or none canon depending on feedback. But the basic idea would be as follows;

A loaded Pelican is trying to extract from a danger zone. The Human pilots being heros as normal to retrieve some stranded ODST/Marines. However their bravado comes back to bite them in the ass as a AA-Wraith was puttering up to meet them as they take off. The Pilots were able to make the bird keep going for awhile but eventually had to crash land down. And so the survivors of the crash (probably around 13-20 total people) need to try and work together to scrounge what they can from the wreckage and survive the approaching Covenant. Perhaps even find a way to signal for extraction or steal another vehicle for them to escape with.

As such there would need to be some Human players obviously and I had envisioned for the Covenant to be NPCed by me so they can be sneakily taken out if needed. But if people wish to play the covies they totes could. And unsure if it would be non-canon or not depends how serious people want me to be with the whole danger aspect.

If people are interested however I have some questions;
1) What type of environment do you want? Forest or mountain or desert or what?
2) Canon or non canon obviously.
3) How serious would you want me to be? Super serious with npc or character death all over the place or maybe a little power fantasy thread for them ODST/Marines/Pilots?
4) Do you like pineapple?
5) Want any threats besides Covies? Bad wildlife or rain or acid rain or meteor showers?

Just a fun thread I thought peeps would post in without the seriousness of a Main Mission.

Desert type of planet would make the survival more interesting and direr. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Like...maybe the planet could have had a small colony on it, and the UNSC was there to rescue the remaining survivors from the attacking Covies, and the Pelican that was extracting everyone (civilians and UNSC) was hit by that AA Wraith. <.< I want to rp Seb, tbh.

5. dangerous wildlife, and if desert planet...dangerous sandstorms that carry small shards of glass-like particles that can rip anyone who is caught in it to shreds, and the rare acid rainstorm. o3o

Count me in for this one!

1) I'd prefer mountainous/alpine - has to be a reason the covenant can't just swarm us at the crash site. Natural obstacles can help prolong escape and evasion
2) Eithers fine
3) Somewhere in the middles
4) Yes, even on pizza.
5) Yep - some bad terrain, hostile wild life and maybe whatever else you can throw at it.

Seems like we have a decent turnout for the start and if other people want to join later they can easily be just part of the crew that are trying to survive. Seems like we will be having a mountain forest type of setting and luckily for me I have some images myself of the Oregon mountains I took awhile ago I will be using! Then there will be some cool alien cougars and maybe some huge bird thing to try and murderize the chasing Kigs I mean Humans And with 17ish people starting I'm sure some won't make it ;D

I'll rename this thread to OOC as well as I-Check and shall try to get that thread up soon.
