((Feel free to make an NPC if you dont have a covie or a char you want to use))
Supreme Commander J'do 'Nagu'nai Ekdo's Rest, Defense Circle Preparing for the hunt
J'do stretched his limbs, appreciating the moment as he was bathed in the natural warmth of sunlight. Rarely did he get a chance to be on solid ground and he relished the moment now. With J'dos transfer to command of the Flotilla, he had to manage a great deal of things to make sure everything was in order when they were called upon to fight. Reviewing fleet deployments, managing civil unrest, dealing with repairs and resupply, many other things that were challenging to juggle at once. He trusted the soldiers under him, but without him setting the framework their future campaigns would be doomed to fail. J'do would not put that on his honor or his troops.
Now that the initial concerns of ensuring the Flotilla of Recalcitrant Purpose's well-being and longevity were taken care of, J'do seized the lull in happenings to order an honorary hunt on Ekdo's Rest. It would honor the feats of the Legion of Redeeming Vigilance and more importantly the glory of the Covenant and the Gods. It would also give J'do a chance to meet and understand his troops, and vice versa. Despite the surprise it might cause, he stated "any and all true disciples of the Gods with honor and reverence in your hearts, be it Sangheili, Lekgolo, Jirlhanae, Kig-yar, or Ungoy, are welcome to attend the hunt.
J'do wore a simple hunting cloak made of furs from Sangheilios, heavily contrasting his golden armor. Sparse clouds in the sky, his scales pearlescence showed in the afternoon sun. A cool breeze made its way through the courtyard. J'do could make a good guess that it was a mild day for what was typical of this planet. His body was still used to the closely controlled air of his ship, but he naturally ignored the discomfort. He was no aristocrat and he would not show weakness to his troops. Waiting for the hunters to gather, J'do silently meditated as he thanked the Gods for blessing them with such a fine day to hunt.

Eugenius - Jiralhanae Mystic Ekdo's Rest, main camp Joining in or here to laugh?
Stepping off the transport that had brought in several Jiralhanae for the Hunt Eugine breathed in the cool breeze and smiled. It would be a good hunt. Good omens for it. Especially since it wasn't raining but it seemed to have been a few days ago. Filled the air with a lovely smell of petrichor all over. Of course this was lost on the young warriors he had hitched a ride with. They were busy hooting and hollaring as they ran toward the sign posted 'set-up grounds'. Backpacks full of knives and nets and traps as they ran. How like the youth to jump at the chance of a hunt.
But the silver elder instead headed toward a raised platform. Less indivudals were headed that way and the Sangheili guards in their fancy helmets on both sides of the ramp gave a good idea that it was for important people only. Which likely meant drinks and a overhead view of the set up grounds. So Eugine headed right for that. His feet and staff lightly squishing down into the earth as he walked. The two lizards started to move to block the way with their energy pikes before Eugine just chuckled. "Really lads? Going to send me down there with all the young bucks to shout and load up weapons?"
The two didn't look convinced by that but one of them got a message on their wrist computer, which after it was scanned the Pikes retracted and Euigne was soon heading up the ramp. He'd have to find the nice person who let him here later. The fancy person area was well insulated, keeping a lot of the test firing and hooting from below out but still allowing the lovely smell in. A fine piece of construction. Eugine quickly gravitating toward the small buffet set up as he got many looks from the majority of Sangheili who were up here. He did spot a female Kig-Yar in the corner poking at a datapad and one Unggoy with a golden tank but mainly lizards. With him the only ape. But he had stopped caring about that kind of thing ages ago as he quickly had himself a plate of small delicacies with a glass balanced in the middle of it. And turning around he would nod and smile at the golden armored fur cloaked Sangheili that had walked up behind him. Euigne giving a head bow before looking back normal. Couldn't really give a salute with his bad hand full of staff and good hand balancing a plate.
"Greetings Commander, here for the hunt or just to supervise?" And then another head bow as he leaned down to get a sip of the drink he had selected. The glory of straws.
(Hope thats all good for ya Prez.)

Supreme Commander J'do 'Nagu'nai Ekdo's Rest, Defense Circle First impressions
Chuckling jovially, J'do strolled to the buffet. He found this Eugine intriguing...and refreshing. With aristocrats prying for favor and soldiers revering his name, the Supreme Commander often found them bowing too low. Certainly the Gods were smiling at him today by introducing such a character. The Zealot poured himself a drink, taking a few good swigs, then refilling it to the brim. He picked up a few choice delicacies with his other hand, studying them approvingly.
"In my meditations i felt the Gods wanted me to have faith in their will. It doesnt hurt to be prepared," he plopped one of the items in his mouth, "maybe a beast attacks that the whelps cant handle. Maybe there will be a choice specimen i want for the true feast this evening."
J'do grabbed a few more pieces of food, eating another before turning back to the Elder Jirlhanae, "I apologize for the Honor Guard. One cannot fault them for being dutiful warriors. Just like these fine troops," the Supreme Commander motioned to the hunters below preparing for the hunt, "any warrior of the Empire would be pleased to witness those soldiers in action. They have gained an impressive amount of infamy."
J'do looked the Jirlhanae in the eye, an honest expression on his face, "Such notions as species or culture do not matter in the eyes of the Gods or the workings of the universe. We both know what truly matters is what lies in the heart of a being," J'do threw another piece of food in his mouth and chased it with his drink, continuing in jest, "but maybe i am just spouting a bunch of esoteric crap."
J'do gave a Sangheili smile, curious how the Jirlhanae might respond.

SpecOps Ultra Llau 'Il Je'at 'Medomai Ekdo's Rest, Defense Circle
Llau headed into the courtyard with a personal guard by her side in case anything were to happen, even though she could take care of herself. She paused, overseeing the buffet area before turning to her guard to quietly tell them that they could enjoy what was there as well, and then prepare themselves for the Hunt later. She hasn't participated in a hunt in many years, not since she left her homeworld. She was eager to hunt again, and she dressed appropriately for it; with a fur cloak and hood, light armor over dark clothing that was of similar design to the Japanese Samurai to blend into her surroundings better. It was always nice to dress traditionally and not always have to rely on advanced technology. Along with her clan's traditional attire, she carried a bow and arrows on her back and her sword at her hip.
(all I could think of...sorry. Dx )

Mr. Prezident Llau Eugenius - Jiralhanae Mystic Ekdo's Rest, main camp Snacks n greets. "Theres a good man, always looking for a fine dinner and entertainment. Got to get enjoyment if we can't be out there leaping trees and looking for tracks personally," another sip. "Then again you still look plenty capable despite your years." A lot of the surrounded Sangheili looked horrified of the type of language Eugine was just throwing around by the elder didn't seem to be too bothered by it. When J'do went to grab some food Euigne would manage to stick some on the claws on his bad hand and transfer them to his mouth as he shrugged about the Honor Guards. "Its good they take their job seriously, but I suspect they were more confused than anything. Very rare you see a Silverback like me off Doisac and I'd guess this was the first time they had seen one. I'm sure should an issue come up they would prove those pikes are more than just shiny ornaments."His drink was nearly gone now as he took another sip as the Commander spoke of The Gods view on matters. The Sangheili would likely be able to tell that Eugine pulled a bit of a face at all that but it went back to completely normal once J'do postulated that it could be all crap. "Rare to meet a kindred mind on such things, not that we admit it in public. Can't be getting pilloried for nothing like that Gel lass was." Hed offer a wink and after some shifting and leaning his staff against the side of his head held out his good hand. "Euginius - advisor and mystic to Chieftain Garatus. May as well call me Eugine as my position would likely mean even less in present company than normally. But its all good." He looked over as a female Jelly entered the area. With a bow no less! What respect for the classics! The lass likely hearing him share his own name and profession as he gave her a small wave after his hand was shaken. "Evenin' Miss. I greatly respect your veneration for the old ways."(Awwww yeah using that Bow proposal I had to fight for <3 Thankie Sheep.)

Supreme Commander J'do 'Nagu'nai Ekdo's Rest, Defense Circle Intriguing Conversations
Although he did have his spirituality, J'do was a practical Sangheili. Strength of will was far better than power of faith. He did not fault anyone for sharing this same practicality...after all, dying for "the Glory of the Gods" didn't get one very far. The Supreme Commander was very intrigued and delighted as a female Special Operations Commander. Surely the universe was blessing him today. He could hardly contain his excitement.
"Welcome fair warrior," J'do motioned the female Sangheili over, "Join us, this army is surely full of interesting characters. I would very much like to hear about your ventures on the battlefield. Surely a huntress such as yourself has earned your place amongst the Special Operators. You might like to meet my Guard Captain and cousin, Nultan. The two of you may very well serve aboard the Benevolent Conflagration together on deployments, should I see proof of your abilities," J'do stated matter of fact.

General Le'ven 'Muramai Ekdo's Rest, Defense Circle Beholding TraditionFrom the belly of a descending phantom, a stalwart and firm-braced individual stepped from the lowering ramp with a semi-circle of fellow Sangheili and a pair of Jiralhanae at his flank. The decorated armour of his status clad upon his scarred form proudly of recent oiling, letting the sun basking and reflect off the regal gold that it held. The litanies of war poetries gracing his thoracic cage and generator-augmented deltoid protectors, eyes of jaded green held their piercing aim of amethyst irises with armoured jawls clamped shut in stoic presentation of militant mirth. Every step was a proud one, shoulders squared and the half-cloak of clawtip-thin silkery dragged from under his right pauldron and around the back of his neck with the depiction of Clan Muram in clear sand-gold from its glittering summer-brown material. Holding it together was the jawless skull of a human, etched by plasma burn with a prayer of hunter's grace across its scalp and browline.
The entourage of warriors was just as intentional, their steps measured and well-practised as his personal guard. Even the Jiralhanae had a place among them, gifted of power armour in trusted allowance. Their prominent horns glint and the skulls of humans and aliens alike bouncing off their armoured thighs in each muscle-rippling step.
General Le'ven 'Muramai and his Six Champions passed through the courtyard until the young commander caught a familiar figure. He recognized Medom design but the movement had a certain telling, enough to cause his head to tilt. "My General." One of his Sangheili whispered by him. Le'ven chuffs before returning to their march for the site of preparation, gesturing with his hand by the twitch of his inner finger and thumb. "Spread and indulge until the hunt's start." He ordered, the six giving a salute of acknowledgement before spreading out mostly.
Reaching down, he grasped to a pendant of a single etched fang between his fingers as he inhaled the smells of a hard and legendary victory to his clan.

Supreme Commander J'do 'Nagu'nai Ekdo's Rest, Defense Circle Final preperations for the hunt
J'do made note of all the warriors that indulged in the small banquet. Their mannerisms, their equipment and discipline, how they carried themselves; nothing went unnoticed by the Supreme Commanders scrutiny. All in all, he was thoroughly impressed. In his service, J'do had the chance to see the best and worst the Empire had to offer. So far he could see the soldiers lived up to their reputation as a varied assortment of disciplined warriors. He was eager to see how the whelps and veterans alike took to the hunt.
"Well, I presume everything should be in order. I am sure everyone is eager to get started. If you care to join me, you are welcome to," J'do bowed his head to the pair.
He left the invitation open as he continued on to the deployment area. With a flick of his wrist, the eight Honor Guardsmen quickly took their place at J'do's flanks. Disciplined and Stoic, they were handpicked for the task when J'do was transferred to command of the Flotilla of Recalcitrant Purpose. Many were soldiers of high calibre that J'do had served with. They were all entrusted to him by the Hierarchs. Just as the silver-haired Jirlhanae Eugenius had said, the Honor Guard were more than capable of proving their abilities in combat.
---
J'do was not one for panache or decadence, and he made no grand entrance, but the presence of the Supreme Commander and his troupe brought a significant amount of attention. Soldiers that were hooping and hollering only moments before fell quiet with a solemn awe and respect. It was to be expected; rarely did the average soldier lay eyes on such a high ranking officer. The only presence of the Supreme Commander they typically experienced was the orders that are relayed by his Zealot underlings.
Reaching the gate, he turned to the assembled Covenant troops, "You have all fought hard, losing many and taking many more. The reputation of the Legion of Redeeming Vigilance is well known amongst the Empire and you have earned this hunt." There was brief cheering before J'do was able to continue.
"Now i will state the parameters only once: whatever prey you take you are to mark. If the catch is not marked, it is open game. You are allowed to help yourself to the meat but a portion will be contributed for the greater good of the planet and the Empire, as well as the feast tonight. Cheating is a dishonor and will not be tolerated. This is a celebration, so let's not ruin the fun with unnecessary lashings. That is all. Now finish preperations and the first group will go forth."
J'do left them to their preperations, filling his cup once more as he himself double-checked his gear. One of his honor guardsmen handed him a stave not unlike the ones they carried, but ornate and created purely of metal. The blade had a flowing, organic nature to it's design. Almost like that of a billowing fire. It was a ceremonial, albeit functional, blade of the 'Nagu'n warrior monks. For now, he practically used it as a walking stick.

Mr. Prezident Llau Huka Eugenius - Jiralhanae Mystic Ekdo's Rest, main camp Walking candy man. After a bit more smalltalk is soon became apparent that it was time to get out there and hunt. Well thats a shame he was really enjoying the little buffet and room here. As people started to walk Eugine would grab some of the less messy food and slip them into his satchel as well as refilling a canteen from the punch bowl there. He was an Old Man damnit he could have a snack! His food grabby paws did make him be a little late however as he thumped after the other Jellies toward the speech podium. He caught most of the rules but its not like he was planning on sprinting off into the jungle with a spear to hunt down a large beast. He had his staff and his Skewer pistol of course but those were more for show. The rules seemed pretty fair to him and he hoped that they didn't need to do any ritualistic hangings or brandings or beatings tonight. They tended to take so long that the food got cold and made the entire day more somber. No fun for anyone especially the idiot who got the punishments. Really just a bad way to end a day honestly. Once the Huntere started to move out Eugine would happily sip on his cantene of alien juice and watch them leave. It was interesting to see the differences. The Unggoy were quiet and alert as they moved as a group, nets and spears held ready to surrounded and swarm. The Kig-Yar would splitting into small teams before running off to be the first ones to find a target. The Jiralhanae just barreling off on their own hooting and raising their weapons. Eager to be THE Hunter of the day. While the Sangheili where more moving off at a measured step. Preparing for the longer hunt that would reward them with the more elusive prey. Fascinating stuff. And with that noted Euigne would pull out his notebook with one hand to write all that down after the next phase. Putting the canteen into one of the slots on his satchel he would root around before holding out one of the crystaline rocky treats to the General, Supreme Commander, and Spec Ops female. No reason because of their rank they couldn't have a nice treat from dear Grandpap Eugine. "A good luck treat for the hunt perhaps?"

Minor Meenor 'Ka 'Hidohee Ekdo's Rest, Jungle First hunt or his last?
Meenor wandered into the jungle with his metal blade in hand and a spear on his back. A more traditional choice so that way the kill won't be easy. Taking out his prey would take time and careful planning. But of course even that isn't easy. While he was originally with the rest of the Sangheili, he decided to wander off into the jungle in order to test his might.
A loud roar echoed across the jungle as a giant creature stomped and wandered to a small pond before taking a drink. The creature was definitely strange. The creature had a scaly hide with two tails waving behind it as not one but two heads drank from the pond. At first Meenor thought there was two of them. He was proven wrong when the creature raised its heads revealing that it had two heads. It's mouth had four large canines potruding outside of the mouth, two pointing downward on the upper jaws and two pointing upward on the lower jaws. It's arms were long. They kept the creature from falling down as it bent back down to drink more water.
Meenor looked at the creature before moving in for the kill, drawing his blade he silently moved towards the creature. As he moved forward he began notice something else about the creature. It's eyes were a milky white. Most likely meaning that it was blind. When he was near the belly of the creature he looked at the head again and was instantly staring right into the eyes of the creature.
The creature sniffed the air. And roared right in front of him before the head moved back to drinking.
He didn't understand. The creature couldn't see him. Maybe it could smell him but that still couldn't explain as to why it knew where he was at.
Meenor decided that perhaps this creature was too much for him and slowly backed away into the jungle. Maybe later on he would get another chance to kill this "Twin Head" creature.
