Hi gang.
Been a while since I've posted anything here.
The reason for the thread is simple. Is it worth continuing providing this website with a premium Cbox, or would it just be more benificial to use the proboards Shoutbox?
Simply put. I don't spend a lot of time here anymore, and ergo, can't justify spending the money to keep a cbox open when its rarely used. The person that uses it most is Cabel. Its gone from 100 posts in a day to maybe 100 posts in 3, maybe 5.
So i want to know. Is it time to just close the cbox for good? or should I relinquish the cbox account to someone who can afford to keep it running as it is.
Let me know.

I'm surprised it's only a few that utilize the C-Box. I don't see a difference between a C-box and a Shout Box. Both are used for posting anyways. It's a nice feature to have, but if it's something you don't really want to pay for since you're not around as much then it's your choice as far as I'm concerned.

Ok. Well Ill let a few more weigh in before I make my decision. If the truth be told, I've paid for the cbox because I wanted to hold onto the nostalgia factor of it. I was the one who bought it and had it installed. It became a hallmark of the website. It held a lot of laughs.. and a lot of drama. It gave us a place to chat and have fun. Im not saying we cannot accomplish that with the Shoutbox, or with the threads, But it was a place where you could chat outside of a discord/skype in realtime.

I would love to have the Cbox still be kept around, but the way the site seems to be going again, I feel it would be best if you discontinue the premium version of it, and use your money where you need it the most because, like I said, it is your money. It's not that much, but still. I don't want you to waste your own money on this site while the site activity is going down. I did everything I could to bring it back, but really, it's up to the members to do the rest. I can't force people to stay or be active, and use a feature like the cbox. It could be a huge lull, and I'd say wait until the end of the year before you actually make your final decision to not have the premium anymore.
I'll be sad to see it go, but all good things must come to an end. You're right. A lot of good times and bad times happened in the cbox. I still find the whole pool noodle dealie to be hilarious.
Whatever you decide to do though, you know I'll respect your decision.

I'd vote for going to the free one with how the activity has been over the past two months. Right now I don't think its worth it - hopefully one day that'l change.

Well what I'll do is ill continue the service till the end of the year. At that point should people come back and the site more active, Ill keep it around. If not, Ill can it then.

If and only if the site actually revives itself, I will take over payment for the C-box if necessary. I'm not around much at the moment cause have you tried working and going to college at the same time? You don't get a lot of time to yourself, but from what I know the c-box isn't that expensive and to be honest the shoutbox irritates me so I'm more than willing to pay for it, plus I've made this offer in the past I think, so might as well keep that up.
