Community Votes [OF THE MONTH]

Hi, guys! 

There are several categories I would like to have you guys vote in before April arrives...reason? For science. >.> (The results will be added to April's Site News and Announcement thread that will be posted early next month.)

These type of threads won't have an actual poll, considering there are many options total from each category. The staff and I will just do it the old fashion way by tallying up those with the most votes. I also would like for each of you to include a little reason why you think such and such should win, not just saying who or what you think is best in your opinion.

The following categories are as followed: (NOTE: Please don't vote for your own character, your own thread, or yourself...it defeats the purpose of this.

RP Character of the Month. Why is he/she your favorite? 

RP Thread of the Month. Which thread? Why is it your favorite? (It can be about any of the user-created RP threads, just not the main mission)

Thread of the Month. Do you have a favorite story another member made? Something else that struck your fancy? Why is it your favorite?

Member of the Month. Why is he/she your favorite and why do you think they deserve this? 



Now that you have read these, think about it, and answer below.  

Deadline is April 8th, and then I will close this thread to tally up the votes with the rest of the staff. We will decide that way before announcing the winners in April's News and Announcement thread.

I would have to nominate Washington (also known as Winter Warrior) as member of the month. I think he deserves this because of his contribution to the site through his Unggoy information thread. It really helps us in giving an idea about Unggoy culture, training that goody stuff. So uh yeah thats that.

As for the rest of the questions.... I'm blank. Theres so much to choose from and I really couldnt say "this character/rp thread stabds out to me the most". Tough one

Character: David 's character Kevin Scheider from the Tom Clancy RP. Cause after all this time I still remember his post for a bit of old school Spinter Cell referencing and for I think capturing that Splinter Cell ass-hole-ness (like Mike in a way)

Thread: Adding onto this will be the Tom Clancy Thread itself, cause despite currently having a bit of a lul I'm enjoying it and I think a lot of other peeps are too.

I agree on having the tom clancy rp being the thread of the month. It really brings our Yappa's community together on topics other than halo.

I don't have access to my PC so I'm posting my votes here:

RP Character of the month: Huka 's Field Marshal Til Je'at Ze'ta 'Muramai. Never fails at fulfilling the shoes of a high ranking Sangheili Commander. Always found to be speaking with honor and a subtle zealous nature.

RP Thread of the Month: Oddball Tales by Cabel . The reason for this selection is because it brings both modern and futuristic universes into another Sci-Fi Universe. You can maybe call it a universe in a universe from a different universe. Battle LA meets Devil Dogs from 21st and 26th centuries meets aliens from the 21st and 26th Century. What a combo.

Thread of the Month: охотник 's "The bed you make." This story line is confusing, but its unique and abstract creativity is something worth using critical thinking to understand. It's a puzzle, but at the same time,there's a story to the puzzle that makes you want to understand it. As a result, you constantly return to this thread to decrypt the message

Member of the month: Llau the Sheep Goddess. March had been a rough passage for her, but her will to revive Yappa's and expand it is imperative. She may not constantly be on the site, but for those moments when she's present, it's the quality she brings to the table that distinguishes her skills as a writer, creator, and artist.

Sidenote: There were many notable members, posts, and characters that were worthy of being nominated, but I chose what was best in my perspective. Don't take it personal if I didn't nominate you. It is also not fair that I am not on the site often. On the contrary, I do read through new content as I am notified of new posts on a daily basis and when I don't get reminders, I would still check the site a few times a day.Keep up the good work everyone. Anyone in the staff has my permission to post this in the proper thread on my behalf.

Character of the month: Cabel 's Mark, I love him, and his posts are always so well done :3

Community member of the month: Mama Llau. She does a lot for us and has been through a lot. But she's really helped bring this site forward by a mile < 3

Thread of the month: Halo: Obscurum by Llau. LOVE the suspense and stuff sooo much. and the child laughter xD

Character of the month: Michaelangelo "Mike" Moretti. A-Class sarcasm and kickassery make for a humorous but nonetheless dangerous person.

Character: Kevin Scheider

When I read what Dave has written, or listen to the audio version of his post, I can't help but feel like I'm reading directly (or listening) from a Splinter Cell novel. As I said in the Podcast, I am very impressed with Dave by the story he is developing with his character. For me, this sets this character apart from others.

I'd like to note that this vote was limited. There really hasn't been a lot of character interaction lately in the RP.



RP Thread: TC Universe

Since we're talking directly about RP Threads, I believe this has to go to the only active RP thread recently; of course, that is A120's Tom Clancy's universe thread. I'd like to mention, as I did in my podcast, that A120 used surgical precision to revive this thread using the hype generated by Wildlands. However, unfortunately, it seems like activity is dying down.

My vote also goes to Llau, who is dealing with adversity while continuing to administrate our role-play. Though she did take a short break to recollect herself, she has returned to her duties, and I add it was rather quick. I wish I had more to say, but I think this sums everything up without risking my tendency to over analyse a very emotional subject.

Character of the Month: Our beloved Field Marshal Til 'Muramai. A phenomenal character with a rich history and lore all his own, and a great example for all Covenant players to look up to.

RP of the Month: I really like what I've seen of the Tom Clancy RP, it's bringing a lot of members together again and is a good read to be sure.

Thread of the Month: Tracker's badass thread, I really love the story even if I don't understand it quite yet. It's suspenseful and unpredictable and I love that.

Member of the Month: Llau. She's a great boon to our community, beloved the site over. A true friend, a great leader, and the mama sheep. <3
