well, i thought i'd make a roleplay guide for arguably my favourite covenant species, since i'd call myself an expert on them. this is a guide for new and old roleplayers who are interested in the species. i first started roleplaying as one in two thousand and four, on my friend's halo forum. here are my tips for playing as a successful lekgolo.
1. because of how dangerous and well armed they are, this is not a species for new writers. so, if you're a completely new roleplayer, i wouldn't say that the species is for you.
2. you will need a bond brother as an npc, or your lekgolo will /probably/ not be accepted. the species are made from the same colony, but it split off because it got two large. they share a very strange connection.
3. do not think that they are invincible. whilst lekgolo are very powerful, it will only take a few assault rifle rounds to your exposed areas to kill you. remember, all deaths are permanent.
4. try not to overkill. what i mean by this is that if you're up against a squadron of odsts or, if you're very unlucky, a spartan fireteam, you're going to struggle. whilst your cannon is powerful, humans can move out of the way. even lekgolos can't destroy an entire platoon. the reason for this is that you're gonna have twenty soldiers firing at you from different angles.
5. take out high priority targets first. because of how loud the cannon is, you're going to want to take out the deadliest soldier(s) first. if you take out a private or other low rank, that high priority will kill you.
6. stick to your bond brother. this goes without saying. you will have twice the firepower, and you won't be flanked.
hope you enjoyed these tips!

yappashalorpg.proboards.com/thread/11337/mgalekgolo-informationI appreciate what you tried to do. But, there's already a thing for this. Above. While true, this is more of a guide on how to play the species rather than general information about the species, like the thread you linked was created for. I'm not trying to cause confrontation here, but I just think this is a community member making a user-guide; a 'how-to' in a manner of speaking, just not officially supported by the staff. Since it is an 'unofficial' guide on how to play the Hunters, I've moved it to website suggestions, as this doesn't meet the prerequisites for a cannon proposal.

Some comments about this, and also Elegance explained it somewhat in the Cbox but please capitalize your posts and titles and re-read them for grammar like the wrong kind of too you have in point 2. Anyway, this seems almost as if you are talking about a game and not a RP site. And even then I would argue that some of these points aren't needed. For example Lekgolos are the only Covie species I think that you could make the case that death isn't the end. They are made up of thousands of worms and could probably just wriggle away in pieces if they weren't cooked. Secondly while yes I don't think a two man golo team could take out Spartans in the books and games we seem them mow down ODSTs and Marines easily because they are often put in intelligent spots. Just like where you would try to position tanks ot turrets or other large pieces of equipment. Which they do have minds of their own the Sangheili often treat them like tanks and so use them as such. You wouldn't really have a choice as to where you were put or not and so while its true YOU would probably not go up against a bunch of ODSTs you may be ordered too. They aren't masters of their own destiny. And in a choke point good luck for the humans to get past without rocket launchers or other specialized equipment. I think you could form this into an addition to the info page or something separate but it needs work. Heres two similar things I've done if you wanted to see things that have been approved into site canon; T'vaoan deployment and troop threadKiggle culture thread
