Wasn't sure if this should go in comments or here and also writing on phone so sorry on both accounts. Anyway; I was playing some BF4 earlier, alone like a loser, using my 'T'vaoan' load out DMR/Sniper rifle with a red dot/magnifier or a 3.4-4x scope 1911 or similar pistol C4 And motion sensor balls since I can 'hear' so good if you get me And then the agressive field upgrade for more movement speed and on the whole playing some sweet agressive Recon. And I had two very good games in a row and made me want to make some Mercenary or Murmillo/Commando character for the site. But it brought up a big hurdle for me in that I don't know of anything in the Covenant arsenal, I could of course be blanking on somthing obvious but nothing was coming to me, that fills the same anti vehical and anti frortification role as C-4 does. So that is somthing that is single soldier portable, with much more power than a grenade, able to blast or melt through thick armor or walls to disable or make entrances. And I didn't think the Covenant has anything like that. I'll happily try to make a proposal if they don't and if they do please be sure to let me know

Pretty sure this goes into the Questions and Answers board, Chicken. (which I moved it to) As for the C4, and if the Covenant have something of sorts. I don't recall them having anything like it. So, they probably don't.

Outside the realm of perhaps there might be portable explosive charges that lack any real designation or recognition. You will probably have to opt for making that proposal. I would think there has been something used in the games somewhere, but it doesn't come to mind. There was the anti-vehicle mine in Halo either Reach or 3, though, I don't think that was of alien design. But maybe something of similar dimension and slightly altered function could work as a substitute.

For breaching operations, I was told the Covenant used anti-matter charges. Not the big one in Halo 2 that blow up whole SMACs, but smaller portable ones. Could be outdated info though.

Thankie for the feedback all, will put it on the proposal docket. Probably make it an Unggoy made Covenant improved item so they can have something to their name.

Not really an expert on covie weapons but I just want to voice my opinion here. If you think about it, the standard Covenant plasma grenade can be used as an improvised C-4 equivalent (albeit, a lower yield one). Want to blow up a tank? Throw a bunch of plasma nades at it. Blow apart a bunker? Stuck a plasma nade at the door. I don't know, just my opinion :3

Throwing a dozen plasma grenades isn't practical, though. Not to mention it'll be very rare you actually get the opportunity to do it. The Covenant have smaller explosives, I do recall an unnamed explosive in a comic: halo.wikia.com/wiki/Unidentified_Covenant_explosivePerhaps we can modify that to be similar to Composite-4? Also, a quick look at the wiki after that link, I found this: halo.wikia.com/wiki/Covenant_chargeCould be used as well.

(On phone myself please excuse briefness) I was gonna say I do remember that the covenant had an unnamed breaching charge cause 1.) it was used in that book and 2.) it was used by the covvies in the Halo 2 mission Cairo Station when they breached the door (Don't try to tell me a Plasma grenade sent that door flying half way across the room and wrecked that hallway like it did as well)

Don't we see the Covenant using some sort of breaching charges? (Opening of Halo 2)
