Connor Lawton, Trader, The Osiris System, Edge of the system, aboard the O.D.S.T. (Orbit Depot Select Transport) A random jump pays off...
Connor sat in the Captain's chair of the O.D.S.T and watched as they exited slip space. He sighed and rubbed a hand over his face.
"Xander status report, where are we? Kyle, what are we getting on the system scans?" He asked the two bridge crew members, as they were typing away at their keyboards. He looked around and noted the emptiness of this system, he was a bit on edge a random jump was usually nothing to worry about but he had a gut feeling about this.
"Connor as far as I can find off of our data this system is undiscovered," His old war buddy said as they soared through the vast emptiness of space. Connor nodded at this and released the seatbelt holding him in, he stood up and walked to the main viewing window of the ship in front of everyone.
Kyle spoke up next and said, "Captain, I'm getting a ping back from a station in system, it's only using minimal power and life support is down and there are no life signs aboard." Connor turned his head to this a bit surprised.
"A station out here? What is it's designation?" Connor asked turning towards the window again. Then he muttered to the helmsman, "Bring us closer to it, give us a fly by." He set his hand on the back of the pilot's chair and leaned forward a little bit to get a better look.
"It's designation is, Osiris Station, and it is deactivated save for a distress beacon and a couple of lights." Kyle spoke up as they neared the station. Connor nodded and walked back to his chair but didn't sit down.
"Ready the away team we are gonna go explore," Connor spoke as he retrieved his jacket, and left the bridge. As he moved he walked down to the elevator and pushed the button for deck 3, the armory. The elevator sank and sent him down and then came to a quiet stop, he stepped out when the door opened and walked to one of the cabinets. He retrieved his MA37 and combat harness from the cabinet as well and put it on, as he was doing this the rest of the away team arrived, two men and then Sara another squadmate from previous years in his life. They began applying their gear as well. Connor walked to one of the walls and accessed a line to the bridge, "Jacob, bring us into the station and dock us up. Alex, see if, when we dock, you can get the life support back on in the station if not, no biggie we will just put on vacuum suits." He then turned and went to the elevator and shortly after the other joined him. They proceeded to the airlock and then the PA system in it squawked to life.
"Captain," It was Alex, " I managed to get life support on in the bridge and on a path to the bridge, it was the best I could do, I will send you a map to your PDA," He finished as the door opened to the dark interior and the away team stepped inside, into the mysteries of Osiris Station.

( roachman34 let me know if the dates need to be changed.) Two Weeks Later.Qep Hul - Ruu'Shan Pilot, Intern of Commodore Dal. En route to the Osiris system, following strange signal and then a call of trade. Hopefully they'll have a nice big landing space. This was good! Good for Qep! He had a proper job now! And working for one of the biggest names of the Kiggle world now. Nek Dal the Trade Baron! It was a good story for Qep to aspire too as well. While there wasn't a huge offical war going on now there were still a lot of small skirmishes he could make a name for himself flying through...Yeah. Qep the heroic pilot getting some wealthy Humans or Aliens out of a jam and getting set for life while they showered him with praise and money for all his skillful avoidance of all things bad. Yeah, he could be like his boss one day. He was jarred from his day dreaming when the first mate of the small ship he was piloting spoke up. "Qep, focus. We'll be exiting slipspace soon and you want to be alert in case that distress signal and then trade broadcast turns out to be a trap." This made Qep glance at one of the screens to his left before looking back at the T'vaoan. "It says here we have nearly an hour left, am I supposed to sit here with baited breath with my hands hovering over the controls the entire time?" The female just glared at the youngster before going back to her own station. Yeah...yeah I was right. The small four man ship contained a selection of goods that Nek was in the business of selling; food, weapons, clothing, and a few contracts as the end goal. As while helping to sell and have a stop out here would be helpful Nek would like to have an outpost at this place if possible too. Always good to spread out the eyes and to help promote cooperation from all the species of the Galaxy now that they weren't being told to hate each other. But there was still an hour left so Qep made sure all the screens were still in the green before leaning back in his chair and returning to dreams of grandeur and imaging how huge the credit pile would be...

Connor Lawton, Trader, Osiris station, Osiris System, aboard the bridge of the station, Ah, the first customers...
Two weeks ago, Connor and the away team had first stepped onto the station and had quickly moved to the bridge and set about restoring power. Soon after they had full life support on and the lights they made a shocking discovery, the bodies of the previous crew. It appeared a mutiny had been staged as most of the bodies were riddled with bullets, and as there were many dents in the hull walls from stray rounds. Upon discovering them, Connor gave the grim order to put the bodies in a container and to vent all the atmosphere inside of it to preserve them, and then he ordered half the crew on the ship to stay with him on the station while his ship had taken the bodies back. The half that had stayed, soon discovered that there was a distress beacon that was activated before the station was sent to low power mode and eventually, lost enough reserve power for the distress beacon to stop functioning. So when the ship returned six days later the crew that had stayed had put the station back together a little bit. Now with the full crew, they went through the station and made what repairs could be made such as repairing all the life support systems and even one of the reactors to get the station more power. Through the next few days, they got the station livable and continued patching up what areas they could and then they sent out a beacon to show that they were willing to trade. About two days after their first customer came out of slip space, a Kig ship, which was common so Connor headed to the bridge and hailed them.
"This is Captain Lawton of Osiris station, Welcome, I hope we can both benefit from this," He said as the hail went out.

Qep Hul - Ruu'Shan Pilot, Intern of Commodore Dal. Heading to station. Ooooh Humans.
Bracing as the quiet alarm went off to let the team know that it was about to be time to exit Slip Space the drop was completed. Qep waiting a bit for the lights to power back up and for the sensors to scan this new area to see what was to be found. The distress signal had been weak and didn't have a lot of information besides 'crew dead hull damaged'. Could have been any number of things. An old Human ship, Kiggle ship, not likely a Covenant one since their distress messages were often a lot longer winded. But it could have been one taken over by non Covies. Never know. Or at least thats what Qep had overheard in the work guilds he had tried to get a job from before Commodore Dal had found him. Always good to keep the ear holes poised to hear all kinds of useful info.
But the sensors finally beeped back that two things had been found. One a Human made cargo vessel, but that didn't mean Humans were driving it, and a Space Station of some kind. Not enough info from a quick scan to tell what kind. But it had been in distress so standard procedure would be to approach quickly. Be the first there and 'save' the vessel. This often mean taking it over and taking all the goods but it seems like they weren't first. So instead plan B! Approach cautiously to see if the ones getting their first were there to help or murder. And if the murder was turned on them run since they didn't have much weapons. Always nice to have simple plans.
Both he and the first mate jumped when a Human voice piped up over their comms. So it was Humans. And a message of welcome? But weren't they in distress? Errr...Qep and the female quickly cheeped and clicked back and fourth without hitting the response button about what to do. Before it was decided upon and after about thirty seconds of silence the vessel responded.
"Greetings Lawlten - this is a Caravan vessel for Commodore Dal's trade Fleet 'Universal Sales'. Hopefully we both can benefit from this and request permission and a place to dock at the station." Qep responded, nodding to himself as he stopped the ship and waited. That sounded about right.

Connor Lawton, Trader, Osiris Station, the Osiris system. Oh, goody time to make a deal...
Connor stood and waited for the reply when it came back over he nodded, "Of course the aft docking port is open and you are welcome to dock there, I too hope this will be a fruitful endeavor." Connor ended the communications and began to order those on the bridge of the station. "I want two people to be down at the door when they dock I will be down shortly to greet them. The rest of you wait in your stations, you'll know if anything has gone wrong." He sighed and began to walk down towards the aft docking port. 'Commodore Dal, Hmmm.' Connor thought, he had heard the name before but it never was a particularly large factor in his dealings so he shifted it out of his mind as he rounded the corner and spotted Xander and another member of his crew, a man he didn't know particularly well but he at least knew the man's name.
"Hello Captain," Jax muttered as Connor approached, which was returned with a curt nod. Xander nodded and set about typing something on his PDA, probably a journal entry. Connor sighed and leaned against the wall and righted the baseball cap that sat on his head. And then the door to the airlock opened.

( Rexian that would be up to roachman34 since its his thread.) Qep Hul - Ruu'Shan Pilot, Intern of Commodore Dal. Heading to station. Haaaai."Aft docking clamp, understood." Shutting down the call it took Qep a minute to work out what aft meant for Humans and then working out what clamp it was supposed to be before maneuvering his ship into position. There would be a bump against the docking clamp that thankfully wouldn't jar the whole station but was probably noticed before the clamps clamped together and the station and ship were one. A successful landing! The first mate just rolled her eyes before getting up and heading out of the small bridge toward the airlock. Qep quickly following behind. The other two crewmen were busy playing cards in the cargo hold when Qep and the first mate moved past them and just gave a little wave before going back to their game. They were just there to be extra security and to help carry cargo if the Humans wanted to see some. And of course if it was a trap they were to flee with the ship and report that the station was no good. Always the secondary jobs with Kigs. But the air pressure was soon equalized and Qep was able to get a better look at the two Humans who were waiting for them. One was wearing one of their single peak caps and the other looked bored to be here and was typing away on a PP. Pretty standard stuff. But Qep did his best to have a smile on his Ruu'Shan beak as he held out a hand to who he guessed was Lawlten. At least he knew that much about Humans. "Hello Captain Lawlten, I'm Qep Hul. Pilot of the Caravan vessel. The distress message said you were looking for trade - is the distress taken care of and what kind of trade?"The female next to him looked genuinely surprised at Qeps strong statement, but little did she know that was probably all he had prepared since he had time to think of it during the landing sequence. Who knows if Connor knew enough about Kigs to even know what Qep was, let alone if he was pretty damn young.

Connor Lawton, Trader, Osiris Station Aft docking port, The first customers...and Kig'yar,
Connor shook the hand offered to him and gave a slight smile, "Pleasure to meet you Qep, and for the distress signal well that reactivated when we brought the station back online power." He said releasing the hand looking towards the Kig'yar Connor knew that there were different types but he couldn't discern them, yet, though he did recognize that this one, the one he was speaking to was rather young. Connor looked him over then turned his attention to the other, this one was female, he thought and was rather quiet but that might be normal for the females of this race. He certainly knew they held positions of power. He looked to Xander, "Xander, can you get me the cargo manifest, I wanna see what he are able to trade should this deal be successful?" Xander nodded and walked off deeper into the station and turned the corner. Connor turned back to the Kig'yar, "I hope we can both make a profit from this."

(You should respond to Rexian roachman34 if he can join - unless you already have in which case my mistake.) Qep Hul - Ruu'Shan Pilot, Intern of Commodore Dal Human retrofitted trade station. Heeey it didn't break."Ah makes sense, stations are often left on low power and alarm when abandoned, no point in letting something like this rot away without being used." It did set off some alarm bells that this station could be unsafe but if these Humans were willing to sit on it, have their ship connected to it, and if this was a trap it was an incredibly long con so he had to conclude that it was safe enough. Sure felt that was as he bounced on the balls of his feet a bit as he listened. The female beside him taking some notes on a PP as they all talked. "A full manifest would be most helpful for us to transfer to Commodore Dal, this is what we have so be sure to let us know if you are looking for more of it or somthing not mentioned." And with that Qep would pull out a larger tablet style of PP from the messenger bag type backpack he was carrying. Though while in the process of bringing it around he dropped it, butter fingers. Thankfully the tablet had a protective case around it and after only just a big of flailing he was able to pick it up again and hand it to Connor. The tablet would have the English words for all the goods, how nice of the Kigs, that the small craft contained. But would open with a simple message from Commodore Gal about how Fair Winds were wished upon all traders and that he hoped that this would be a good partnership for all. Under his signature would be the items as the Human scrolled down. Mainly some food items, a few weapons, clothing, basic repair materials, tools, and at the end an item called [BULK] Guild Buoy. Whatever that was

Connor Lawton, Trader, Osiris Station Aft docking port, Oh great, a manifest...And he dropped it...
Connor smiled as the Kig'yar fumbled with the tablet and let out a slight chuckle. After he received the manifest he read the message at the top and scrolled through he smiled, they had some of the parts they needed, this was great. Connor nodded to himself as he continued to read the rest of the list until he reached the bottom, where he stopped and got a puzzled look on his face.
"What are guild buoys for?" Connor asked gesturing to the item on the list. As he asked Xander held out a tablet as well, and without dropping it, handed it to Qep. Connor waited for a response then asked, "Alright you have some of the parts we need, and we can trade for them so take your pick within reason." The human's manifest was in English as well, unfortunately, none of the crew could fluently speak Kiggle or translate it, it started off with a bit of a bit of a message from Connor himself speaking of hopeful times in the future of prosperity and benefiting trade deals for all parties. Then it listed off the items: Food, Power cells, Clothing, a few human weapons, and a bit of spare fuel, and a small shipment of luxury items. Connor would make a mental note of the weapons and their make and model if it was listed then hand the tablet back.

Qep Hul - Ruu'Shan Pilot, Intern of Commodore Dal Human retrofitted trade station. Company monologue.
At least they knew now that the Human Connor had read the entire manifest now that he had seen the Guild item. That was good as it meant he very likely was there for trade and was serious about getting what was best for himself and hopefully them too. Just needed to hope that the purpose of the guild items wouldn't sour the deal.
"They are basic items to set up a small outpost for Commodore Dal's Trade guild. A stall if you would," again all of this was stuff he had memorized to list off to people who would hopefully be getting an outpost. "It will start small with what we have but will grow with time to soon be a small shipping station. Able to help ship and receive goods from Commodore Dal's ships and also help bring in business to your station. One of the crew that came here would man it initially and will help direct ships that come in range as well as help maintain and upgrade the station if there is time or need for it."
Taking a breath after his spiel Qep nodded and then took the offered pad to read over what they had. It looked pretty basic which was to be expected from the state of the station but some of those luxuries, perhaps drugs, and older models of Human weapons would sell well. He would tap the boxes beside those items to indicate he was looking for them, before handing it off to the female who snatched it to make sure Qep wasn't being stupid. So Qep looked back at Connor, it was going very well so far he thought.
(Maybe time skip to have Nek arrive?)

Connor Lawton, Trader, The Osiris system, Osiris Station, The bridge. A week after first dealings...
It had been a week of good deals and station repairs, Connor smiled, things were good and he had been informed that there would be a special visitor arriving soon. Commodore Dal would be arriving soon and hopefully, they could begin trading on a larger scale. He looked around his new Captain's quarters, his predecessor hadn't been one for decorating it appeared and neither was Connor, so the room remained mostly bare, save for a small collection of actual paper books. With a groan, Connor stood up out of his desk chair and headed towards the bridge to get back to the dealings of the day.

Qep Hul - Ruu'Shan Pilot, Intern of Commodore Dal Speed Streak Boss is about.
Qep had to respect Nek Dal today...sorry Commodore Dal. From his own history that he had heard about and then had confirmed by the man himself he had quite the life to get to where he was now. Starting as a slave on a Sisterhood vessel and now one of the more wealthy Trade Barons flying in Kig-Yar space. Qep was pretty confident that he was the most wealthy one who still flew missions and didn't just offload it to his underlings to do. According to the T'vaoan he still enjoys flying his ship, and especially more so now that he had a family to share it with. Zahl was quite an...overbearing Mistress to the crew but it was fair, and despite appearances she was quite a sweetheart especially when it came to younger fluffs. Always eager to help them understand something or give them a treat. Her niceness got less the older the subject got but her tattoos and rakish feather color hid a mostly kind soul. She had at least given Qep a chance and so that meant a lot to him.
The young Ruu'Shan currently watching as Commodore Dal piloted the Speed Streak toward the Human station. The crew Qep had left behind had done the best they could to help fix it up with the Humans help and it was starting to look very solid. Much less slap dash that it had been before. The young fluffs of Yul and Posn giggling as they looked at the station as well.
"Is tiny Mama!"
"How it gone fit the ship!?"
Zahl just smiled as she idly ran her hand through her children's feathers. "Its still a new station my sweets, it will grow big and strong like you with our help. And it won't need to fit all of us silly, just a little airlock for us to board." And after a audible clunk as Nek expertly attached his ship to the station she nodded. "Just like that, come on lets go take a look."
The two young floofs, Zahl, and Nek were soon heading toward the airlock with Qep and a few others following suite. Two guards just in case, the storeroom manager, and Qep as extra. And soon the eight Kig group were on the Human station where the group of Kigs already stationed there were waiting with a crisp salute and a 'Commodore' with large smiles. Holding data pads of their current sales as they start to click and cheep back and fourth as they waited for Mr Connor to arrive to greet his business partner.

Captain "Nam" Chanachon Boonphakdee SDF Naresuan Slip-space transit (nearing Osiris system) Why even bother........
"Captain on the bridge!" Nam heard someone shout out as he walked into the bridge. God its been a while..... he mused before sitting down in his captains chair.
"At ease. Status report" he ordered before taking a sip from his coffee mug.
"Reactor's are fully functional and we're coming up on the system as we speak sir" Lieutenant "Tem" Somsawak reported.
"Fleet status?"
"We won't know until we've exited slip-space captain but I assume they are ready as we are" the voice of Lieutenant "Hank" Waratorn.
"How much time do we have till exit?"
"Exiting in 5....4....3....2.....1 and welcome to normal space ladies and gentlemen" Lieutenant Tem said sarcastically as the ship suddenly dropped out of slipspace near the system's edge, followed by 4 more additional ships of the Saensuk Defense Force.
"All ships have reported in sir, everyone's here" Lieutenant Hank reported before stretching out his legs and arms in his chair.
"Start scanning" Nam ordered before taking another sip of coffee and walking towards the view screen. 3 weeks earlier Saensuk high command had intercepted a distress call from a nearby system requesting immediate assistance. After a heated debate in the high council about what to do, the decision was made to send a small flotilla to the system to investigate, with Nam leading it. The flotilla itself consisted of 2 converted corvettes, 1 MAC frigate, 1 of the new Aquarius class escort carrier, and Nam's personal flagship, a former UNSC Halberd class destroyer. However, the ships and their crew were off fighting pirates at the time when the distress call was received. Thus, it took Nam 3 weeks to organize the flotilla and set off in the first place.
Despite knowing that the original senders of the message were probably dead anyways, command still gave the green light for the operation, surmising that pirates might have used the system as a base of operations for piracy raids on SDF shipping. Nam's current orders were now to locate and destroy any hostile presence in the system.
"Scans have picked up several resource rich asteroids in the asteroid belt" Lieutenant Tem reported, "Along with a station and 2 chicken ships???" Tem finished, sounding surprised.
"Chicken ships?" Nam repeated as he put down his coffee mug and went to Tem's station.
"Aye sir, at least 2 chicken ships docked to what appears to be a fully functional space station"
"Designations?"
"The ships have none sir, at least none that we know off, but the station is designated as Osiris."
Nam mused a bit before giving out the order "All hands to battle stations, have the carrier launch its fighters and the fleet to move in system at full speed"
Sounds of sirens blazing as officers scramble to their stations. "Get the MACS at 100% as soon as possible Lieutenant," Nam ordered the weapons officer, "They might launch an attack on us"
The young Lieutenant nodded before carrying out his orders. Nam watched through the view port as the fleet took up a standard delta formation with the Corvettes up front followed closely by the frigate and the Destroyer, with the carrier lagging slightly behind. The broadsword fighters have broken up into their individual flights and each flight is taking up positions surrounding the capital ships to protect them from enemy fighters.
"Comms," Nam piqued "Open a channel with the station"
"Channel open Captain"
Nam cleared his throat before addressing the station "Space station osiris, this is Captain Nam of the Saensuk Defense Force. We've received a distress call from this station 3 weeks ago and we are here to assist. If you copy please respond. Captain Nam out"

Connor Lawton, Trader, The Osiris system, Osiris Station, The bridge. Oh boy, a fleet...
Connor, jumped at the loud blaring of an alarm as he walked around the bridge looking for his hat. "What the hell?" He asked mashing the silence alarm button. "Fleet just jumped into the system, and they are launching fighters," Alex said as he typed commands into his terminal and rubbed his ears. "We're getting a call," Xander said from a terminal he was looking at.
"Space station Osiris, this is Captain Nam of the Saensuk Defense Force. We've received a distress call from this station 3 weeks ago and we are here to assist. If you copy please respond. Captain Nam out," The speakers on the bridge squawked at them and then cut off.
"Xander get me a channel to them please." To which Connor received a nod and a thumbs up confirming the channel was up. "Captain Nam this is Captain Lawton of Osiris, first off thank you but we are fine, that distress signal went off as we brought the station back online. Second, this is now just a trading station, which of course you are welcome to browse but otherwise, we are fine." He said leaving the channel open for a response and then with a quick push of a button on the command terminal, he activates the PA system, "Commodore Dal, Captain Lawton here, one small inconvenience, but I will be there shortly, now where the hell is my hat." He said before closing the channel.

Commodore Dal - T'vaoan Trade Baron Osiris Station Well hello.
Currently having a pleasant chat with the Kigs that were left here to start the trade Nek glanced down at a series of beeps that signaled an emergency alert. Well that was potentially bad. But not horrendous as he had some of his more scrappy employees and their warships stationed just a short jump away. This pre-caution often for his own kind who thought that like the stories of the war that he was still weak and alone. And weak himself yes, but very much not alone. He paid good money for those murderous friends.
"Commodore, Five human ships jumped in with weapons hot. The station just got a hail - patching it to you now." Again common practices to tap into the comms system of meeting places to make sure sneaky dealings weren't under way. Nek just nodded as the group around quieted down. The message was soon done and it was young Qep who was the first to speak up.
"Boss! Its the people who hired me first for that training job! Before you hired me!"
Nek just nodded as the stations reply was sent soon after before he tapped the reply button on his tac-pad. "Seems our fighters won't get blood today, keep them on station as per usual."
"Aye Commodore." Nek rolling his eyes a bit at the unprofessional response over the stations PA system but it made him chuckle really. It reminded him of his times when just starting out. Oh how long ago that seemed. So instead with a few button presses he was soon patched into this Nam Fleet's and the stations control room as Qep looked on hopeful and Zahl and the little ones were taken for a little tour.
"Greetings Mr Nam - I am Commodore Dal of the Eayn Free Spacers. I believe you have had a run-in with one of my Employees Qep Hul for a training contract. In which case I am happy to have met you now and hope that this is the start of a good relationship between us all."

Captain "Nam" Chanachon Boonphakdee SDF Naresuan In Osiris system Negotiations.... yay
"Captain we're getting a response from the station" Lieutenant Hank called out.
"Lets hear it Lieutenant" Nam replied after taking another sip of coffee.
"Aye sir" Hank responded before tapping a few keys on his keyboard and the voice of a human male can be heard through the bridge's speakers.
"Captain Nam this is Captain Lawton of Osiris, first off thank you but we are fine, that distress signal went off as we brought the station back online. Second, this is now just a trading station, which of course you are welcome to browse but otherwise, we are fine."
Well.... Nam thought to himself that's new. He didn't expect an offer for trading when he came here. There's always the first time......
"Uhh... Captain?" Lieutenant Hank suddenly spoke up, snapping Nam out of his thoughts "The chicken ship is hailing us"
"Well then Lieutenant," Nam said after much thought, "Lets hear what they have to say"
"Greetings Mr Nam" the voice of a Kig-Yar, commonly known as Jackals by the UNSC and chickens by SDF members, sounded over the bridge's speakers "I am Commodore Dal of the Eayn Free Spacers. I believe you have had a run-in with one of my Employees Qep Hul for a training contract. In which case I am happy to have met you now and hope that this is the start of a good relationship between us all."
After hearing the hail, Nam chuckled to himself. He remembered Qep Hul well, Nam was the one who recruited Qep into the services of the Saensuk Defense Force back in 2554 to help with the SDF build up its Navy. Really fun guy to be around with Nam recalled. Too bad that he wasn't as good as the intelligence department claimed him to be........
"Hank," Nam called out to his communications officer "is the channel still open with the chicken ship?"
"Yes sir"
Nam then reached down to the microphone before addressing the alien ship "Commodore Dal, pleasure to meet you. And yes you are correct in that me and your employee Qep Hul had a run in before. If I remember correctly, Mr. Hul was so scared that he almost" he paused a bit before continuing "flew out of his feathers" at that he heard a failed attempt at stiffing laughter from his bridge crew "... when we first met. You might want to calm him down if he's about to do so again." He mused over about what to say next before continuing, "Regardless, it is my hope that we can also begin friendly relationships on behalf of my government. Captain Nam out"
"Hank get me through with the station itself" Nam said suddenly switching his tone to "serious mode".
"We're through, channel's still open Captain." Hank replied, startled at Nam's sudden change in tone.
"Captain Lawton thank you for the prompt reply. However, I will be dispatching a "diplomatic envoy" to the station to begin negotiations. Hopefully we can both gain something out of this." he finished before keying of the mic.
"Contact Major Chatchai" Nam ordered his junior officers. "Have him organize a team to board the station, and get Red flight to provide fighter support." Nam continued on "Weapons keep a firing solution on the ships, don't want any surprises and maintain fleet course in system."

Connor Lawton, Trader, The Osiris system, Osiris Station, The bridge. And even more visitors...
Connor continued his search for his hat and was growing frustrated, "Xander grab two of the crew and organize a welcome party, nothing hostile yet but have some of the others on standby, just in case, I'll be down there in a few minutes." Xander nodded and jogged off, Connor continued his hunt for his beloved hat. After a few more minutes of searching, he discovered it hanging on the back of the Captains Chair, and after donning it, he jogged off down the hallway to find where Commodore Dal was.

tento125 roachman34 Commodore Dal - T'vaoan Trade Baron Osiris Station Introductions continueing."Qep does tend to get excited and flightily, but he's working on that.""Sure am boss! Hi Nam!" Qeps voice would squeak over the speakers before there were some mumbled sorry sorries as he likey moved away from the microphone. "More trade agreements and contacts would be welcomed Nam - no point in trying to continue conflict and carnage when there is no need and we can help each other and everyone else. I look forward to meeting you in person." And then the call was shut down and Nek was smiling, more allies for the Free Spacers - spreading their reputation and bolstering the message that most Kig-Yar wanted peace and trade rather than having to scrabble and murder just to eat. Glancing down at his tac-pad he was notified that Zahl was going to show the children around the station while Nek was busy doing negotiations and the like. Talking in a room wasn't her best thing ever, she much preferred looking after the children and then murdering enemy crews with boarding parties. What a gal. But Mr Lawton was soon running down the hallway toward the Kigs that were still here; Nek, Qep, Neks storeroom manager, and two guards. The Kig-Yar that were stationed here saluting and heading back to their stall as Nek smiled and held out a hand to the owner of this place. " Nice to meet you Mr Lawton, Commodore Dal of the Eayn Free Spacers, thank you for allowing us to land and for opening your station for trade. Where shall we go to conduct this trade meeting?"

Connor Lawton, Trader, Osiris Station, Introduction and business talks...
Connor slowed down and came to a stop before the several Kig-Yar. One of them spoke and introduced himself as Commodore Dal, and offered a handshake. He shook the bird's hand, "Pleasure to meet you, Commodore, and you're welcome. As for the meeting room, uh..." He paused for a second drawing a datapad, "Yeah, we've got one of those." He said to himself quietly, "If you'll follow me," and off he went leading them down an adjacent hallway. On the other side of the station, Xander and two other crewmembers were waiting near the docking port waiting for the envoy from the SDF folks. On the comms channel, "Make sure we got a couple of guys on standby in case they attack us," Xander spoke as he and the two waited for the soon to be new arrivals to the station. "Already on it. Fireteam Alpha is on standby," came the response and Xander keyed his mic as an affirmative.
(Sorry about the disappearance guys. I didn't have my school laptop and it was almost impossible to get my family PC to myself for a few hours.)

Major Chatchai Buabaisri SDF Naresuan Osiris System Prepping..... Tags: roachman34"Zex, where the hell are you? " Chatchai yelled into his mic to call over the last member of his hand picked squad that was to be part of the "diplomatic" envoy. "I swear to whatever god you revere that your paycheck will be cut if you don't get your FUCKING CHICKEN ASS DOWN TO THE HANGER IN THE NEXT 30 FUCKING SECONDS!!!!!". Anyone within a 100 meter radius of the major quickly doubled up their efforts, regardless of the fact that he wasn't addressing them. "Ok ok, no need to tell me twice boss" came a panic stricken reply. Things used to be much more simpler....... Chatchai contemplated to himself as he waited for Kup Zex. A decade ago I would've killed the fucker.90 seconds later Chatchai finally saw a familiar face running towards him at full speed, knocking down several carefully stacked crates along the way. The figure finally stopped just in front of the former ODST, body bent, and panting hard. "Kup....... Zex.... reporting..... as....requested.....boss" the alien finally managed to stammer out in between breaths. "What the fuck took you so long?" But Chatchai continued before the Ruutian could reply, "You know what? I don't care, just get your butt onto the pelican" Despite being exhausted, Zex promptly obeyed the command, fully aware that his monthly pay would be reduced drastically because of his failure to report on time. Chatchai shook his head before climbing aboard himself and strapped in. With all the 13 man envoy (12 human and 1 space chicken) fully on board, the pilot closed the rear door of the pelican and lifted the old bird off from the hanger deck. Seconds later, the dropship was hurtling through the darkness of empty space. --------------------------------------------------------
Ensign "Kawin" Pelican call sign "Delta-Echo" Osiris system
Doopy doo....
Just a few seconds after Kawin had cleared the hanger bay of the Naresuan, he was joined by a flight of Broadswords that would provide escort for him and the diplomatic envoy that the Ensign had been entrusted with transporting. It was Kawin's first time flying an actual mission, so he was still quite nervous. Just remember the training he said to himself.
As he approached the station designated as "Osiris", he quickly opened a channel to whomever is in command.
"This is Pelican Delta-Echo on approach to space station Osiris inbound from the SDF Naresuan. Carrying very important cargo in the form of a formal diplomatic envoy" he said somewhat sarcastically. "Requesting docking clearance and landing parameters how copy?"

Xander, First mate, Osiris station, The Envoy...
Xander listened to the radio, "Delta-Echo you are cleared to land, in hangar bay one." He then pinged the location to them setting a waypoint for them to see. He then signaled everyone to get ready and at least look slightly interested. "Well here goes nothing," he muttered as he stood straighter and watched from the door control room for the hangar bay.

Ensign "Kawin"Pelican call sign "Delta-Echo"Osiris systemTouch down..... Tags: roachman34
" Delta-Echo you are cleared to land in hangar bay one." came the response over the radio as Kawin made final preparations for the final approach. He then received a simple schematics of the station detailing the location of "hanger bay one". He frowned as he studied it. A typical pelican, like the one Kawin is piloting right now, is 31 meters long, 25 meters wide, and 11 meters high. Hanger bay one, can just barely fit the old bird. " Copy that Osiris," Kawin began. Good lord, its going to be a tight fit he thought to himself as he started to panic a little. The schematics that the station had given him indicated that the hanger bay is only 40 meters wide and 20 meters high. Very small compared to other hanger bays that he's used to on board the Naresuan and other carriers. " Be advised, going to be a tight fit, repeat tight fit. Might want to clear out any unwanted debris across the deck if you want to avoid damage over" he finished before he keyed off his mike and concentrated on not screwing up his first ever "combat" landing. " Delta-Echo, Red 1, we're disengaging from escort" came another voice belonging to the flight leader of Delta-Echo's escort. " Heading back home. Will be on standby if you need us over" " Roger that Red 1, wilco. Will scream if in trouble. Over" A slight chuckle can be heard across the channel before Red 1 continued " That's the idea Delta-Echo. Stay safe. Red-1 out" Thanks.... he muttered silently as the 4 Broadswords peeled off and headed back towards the fleet, still maintaining course in system. What is the Captain up to.........
He snapped back to his task at hand. Questioning the Captain's motives can come when the bird is on solid ground. Until then, he has to make sure he doesn't screw up the landing. As the hanger bay came into visual range, Kawin engaged the Pelican's thrusters to slow down his forward momentum. He then lined up for a straight line slow approach, before engaging the thrusters once more and spun the bird 180 degrees to approach tail first. Remembering his pilot training back on Saensuk, the newbie pilot expertly guided in the Pelican backwards into the "small" hanger bay. Satisfied that the Pelican is safely inside, he decided to cease all momentum completely, before engaging the landing gears to rest the old bird on the steel deck. Yay!!!! Major Chatchai BuabaisriOsiris StationOsiris SystemContact" Ok everyone knows the drill" Chatchai briefed his 13 man team as the Pelican slowly landed. " Don't fire unless fired upon, but stay sharp. However, if we're to be fired upon, secure the hanger and wait for reinforcements to arrive. We will take this station by force if necessary. Questions?" The only alien in the group raised his hand "Can you repeat that boss? I don't understand Tai" "Didn't you bring your translator?" someone else in the group asked back. All alien mercenaries were handed out Thai to English translators for easier communications between both parties upon signing their 5 year contracts. It is standard protocol for the aliens to keep it with them at all times, especially on deployments. "Please don't tell me you...." Chatchai began already a hair thread away from losing his patience with the chicken. "......forgot it on the ship. Yes boss. Sorry boss" Zex finished somberly, to which Chatchai roared out in frustration. Startling everyone within his vicinity. Taking a while to calm himself down, he recapped what he had said, this time in English. "Don't fire unless fired upon. Stay sharp. If shot at, we're to secure the station. Clear?" "Yes boss" the chicken replied, holstering his Covenant carbine. With no further complications, the squad moved down the Pelican ramp to be greeted by a small reception party. Chatchai motioned for the squad to fan out into a semi circle to provide effective covering fire if needed, with Zex ready to provide sniper cover if the need calls for it. Chatchai walked up to the man who seemed to be in charge and saluted to introduce himself. "Major Chatchai Buabaisri of the Saensuk---" he paused mid sentenced as he recognized the man as one of his former ODST squad mates. You have got to be kidding me......." Xander??" he began lowering his arm, to the utmost surprise of everyone in the hanger bay "Is that you?" (OOC: what would Chatchai and the other SDF peeps in the envoy would look like, save from Zex)

(If Nek we're less professional he would probably snicker at those SDF people and their old 'hardass' outfit ;D .) tento125 roachman34 Commodore Dal - T'vaoan Trade Baron Osiris Station It has a certain rustic charm.Nek had himself a little twitter of a laugh at Mr Lawton seemed to flounder briefly about not having a dedicated meeting room. It was a bit unprofessional of the Human but Nek saw this guy as new to the trade game. He may have been a soldier or just a civilian during the war and was trying to make this work for him instead now. Nek could respect that and due to his years of trade experience he was very forgiving of 'newbies' who wished to enter his game. It was better than shoving a gun in the mouth of everyone and demanding their items - that was for those Sunk Sisterhood bastards not respectable Kigs. But he just nodded and followed with his little group following behind. The room that he was led too could be considered a meeting room but it would be stretching it. It had a table and chairs but them and the room looked like they had seen better days. But at least unlike some of his other Human meetings it wasn't ringed by guards or gun turrets. But it seemed like it was somtimes used as a storage room as well but it would work. It reminded him of the old Inside Human bases he had visited during the war. Moving to sit himself on one of the far ends of the table his other two main Kigs, his storeroom manager and Qep, sitting at his right and left resptively as his guards moved to lean against the wall behind Nek on either side. But it sounded like these new humans with all the ships had not arrived yet so they had a few minutes. So Nek got himself back up and started to shift some of the items off the table to the far side of the room so it would be a nice smooth surface for them to conduct business on. The other four Kig-Yar quickly helping as Lawton probably lent a hand too. A small thermos soon taken out of Neks belt and set in front of his seat as he kept moving boxes and chairs. "Do you have much experience with Kig-Yar trade guilds Mr. Lawton? Nothing to worry about if you don't I am just curious." Nek would ask, clearing his throat a bit as he worked as Qep kept glancing at the door. The youngin seemingly waiting for Nam to enter.

(Again sorry a very large move came up and life has been fairly crazy.) Faclan Tento125
Xander, First Mate, Osiris Station, Osiris System, Old friends and squadmates...
Upon recognizing Chatchai Xander grinned at his old squadmate and laughed. “Chatchai?! How have you been man? I see you’re doing well for yourself.” He says as he takes a step forward putting a hand on Chatchai’s shoulder, he turns to the others to the rest of the welcoming party and says, “This guy used to be in my squad back during the war.”
Connor Lawton, Trader, Osiris Station, Osiris System, Makeshift meeting room, Oh! Right boxes are a thing to be moved...
Connor helped clear off the table and sat down his two crewmen helped as well then stood behind him. Finally after getting himself seated he looked over to Nek. “I’ve hade basic trades with some, but nothing of this scale in the past. Again sorry about the mess it’s been a slow process of cleaning and repairing the Station.” Connor said with a slight smile. He was proud of what they’d managed to do in their short time with the Station and had high hopes for what it could become. He actually stared off into space for about a second before coming back. “I don’t exactly know how to start this meeting so I defer to your experience.”

Major Chatchai BuabaisriOsiris Station, Osiris SystemHanger bayReunions...... Tags: roachman34"Good to see you to man" Chatchai responded before returning the pat, with still confused looks from everyone present. " This guy used to be in my squad back during the war." Xander piqued up, clearing the situation up once he realized the looks of confusion on everybody's face. " Everyone stand down" he ordered to his men, now switching to Thai, " We are among friends"
Reluctantly the SDF soldiers visibly relaxed their stances as per their commander's orders. He then turned his attention to his former squad-mate. "So Xander, how did you end up on this station?" he asked before continuing on, "and can I assume that this 'Captain Lawton' that I was told is in command of this place is the same old goofy Connor Lawton we all know and love?" he asked in a light-hearted tone

tento125 roachman34 Commodore Dal - T'vaoan Trade Baron Osiris Station Buisness buisness buisness. With the room cleaned Nek returned to his marked seat and scooped up his thermos to have another drink. Spinning the cap back on he set it on the ground next to him to not be in the way and then clasped his hands in front of him as Lawton replied. "Hopefully good and fair trades with them - but I won't lie and say that now that the fighting has died down," specifically not saying stopped as he knew that was a lie. "There aren't individuals, 'Aliens or Human'," some finger quotes with the middle finger on each hand. "That aren't out to get all the money they can for the least amount of work without directly trying to raid others. Hopefully I can help make a good impression and have both of us benefit from this. Also don't worry about the mess because you have no guards or yourself shoving weapons at me this is perfectly fine." Making an odd click sound his storeroom manager slide a datapad in front of Nek who then proceeded to scan over it before nodding. "From what Qep has told me you have done a fine job with the time and resources you had to make this a nice place to stop. But your storage space is a little limited. I would suggest getting a freighter and attaching it to this station to act as an extension. And also obviously it would help if you need to move items." Some more skimming before he looked up over the datapad at Lawton. Due to the fact he had a beak it was very hard for Humans to tell when he was smiling but his little chuckle helped to clue the humans in. "Oh the meeting has been going for several minutes Mr. Lawton - we Kig-Yar tend to cut straight to the chase if there are no gifts or drinks to be had." A headshake to poof out his mane before he nodded. "No then - with a station of this size, sans the possible extension, I have this suggestion and proposition for you..."(Timeskip till Tento's dudes show up in the meeting room? Nek would briefly go over what could be done and sold at a place this size that Tento would probably walk into as he was explaining.)
