yamiTaking place in: The approximate time of M9 Nek Dal - T'vaoan merchant Neutral systems, before a trade jump Sooooo....hi.New day. New People. Old problems. Suf was still floating over him all nebelus like the old crow of legend. Watching every movement and waiting for a time to swoop down and claw out some eyes...Right? I mean Nek hadn't gotten any messages from him in awhile and the Covenant had been pretty busy lately from the reports he had gotten. He was fairly sure Suf wasn't dead or reports of Nek's dealings would probably be sent to some one eyed Jelly general and he would be on a dinner plate before he knew it...Old bastard. But its that lack of recent communication that had led Nek to today. To meet a new contact for some little chats and checks of intentions before heading to a meet up with a Human ship. The other captain, Vex Fel if his notes were still right, had wanted to trade with Humans and so had been directed right to Nek. Something Nek should have been proud of but with the threat of Suf he didn't know anymore...but he was already here so he couldn't do anything but go forward with it now. The Fel's were a smaller nest too, know for being aggressive in finishing jobs but overall not too harsh. A good match for Human trading. This Vex was just unknown. Hence the chat before the meet up. Hence also why the Speed Streak was holding position in just empty space, waiting for the other vessel to jump in so the Captains could talk and if needed trade some supplies before the second jump. Nek rubbing hi throat as he felt a cough coming on before just sitting back and trying to relax so he wouldn't have a fit. That seemed to be getting ever so slightly better at least. But he opened one eye when a beep from his Captains chair let him know a Slip Space rupture had been detected, should be Vex arriving. At least he was punctual if it was him.

Vex Fel - Kig-Yar Pirate Neutral systems, meeting new contact
Nek Dal. Once a smuggler and now some Covenant lapdog, or at least that's what the majority of Vex' sources had come up with. He had heard rumours that the T'vaoan was still in the game though, and not only that but he had set up contacts with the humans. And that was where he became useful to Vex, assuming they were true of course. In order to find out he had set up a meeting, in a region of space not affiliated with anyone especially the Covenant. He couldn't be certain, but he was sure that they didn't exactly take a liking to his little stunt once they learned of it. Probably branded him a heretic or something like that, but unlike those self-righteous idiots he didn't want to fight the 'Prophets' and their lackeys, he just saw the benefit in earning his own money and the freedom it could buy.
Vex left his personal quarters where he had been reviewing the info he had scrounged about Nek and his ship, which was less than he would have liked, and headed to the control center. It was almost time for the meeting, and he wanted to make sure they were ready. And show that they weren't going to be taken lightly, even if they weren't quite as big of a crew or ship as other pirate crews.
As he sat down in his chair he was addressed by Nug, who let him know that they would soon be exiting slipspace and arriving near the location that had been set for the meeting. He just nodded and waved him back to his station, before opening up a broadcast through the ship. "Listen up. We will soon be engaging in a meeting that is very important to me. And that makes it important to you. I want all hands at their stations, and if I find any slackers I will personally feed you to the next prisoner we take. That is all."
Ending his broadcast, he turned to Kox. "As soon as we are in range i want his ship hailed, make sure our connection is secure." With that he sat back and waited. If all went well, this meeting could be the start of a very lucrative partnership.

Nek Dal - T'vaoan Merchant Neutral Systems Your house is probably nicer.
Thankfully that ship that exited that blue sphere was indeed his fellow Kig-Yar comrades vessel. Always nice that it wasn't a hostile Human or Split Face ready to try and cause some carnage. The engines were primed in the case that it was but good to not have to use your fallback right off the bat.
Before Nek could even send a greetings message his ship was hailed first. Well that sure was punctual of him. It seemed as though this Vex was also of the cautious sort as he first asked if that was indeed Nek's ship and if Nek was there. A simple answer, and then if it was the right vessel that he could dock. That was a bit more odd as voice comms would normally be fine. But then again this wasn't a normal exchange of information. This was the hopeful start of a business partnership...And Nek didn't have the room he normally had for that prepared and ready. Crap.
"You have the right ship Captain Fel," how to diplomatically suggest to use his ship instead... "I think it would be best if after we have a connection between our ships for myself to head over to your vessel. Best to see what kind of space you have so we can talk about what you can carry after the trade and see what you have to barter. That sound ok?"
Hopefully that would work. Nek already started to pilot his ship toward the other one so the docking clamps could be connected and the walk made.

Vex Fell – Kig-Yar Pirate Neutral Systems Mum says you can come over.
Vex was pleased to hear that he was dealing with the captain he was looking for. It didn’t exactly mean that things would go perfectly, but at least it was something that went right. Nek seemed taken by surprise when Vex asked to dock, but he just chalked that up to the T’vaoan doing things a bit differently. He agreed to meeting, but it was then Vex’ turn to be surprised when he asked to meet on the Furtive Glance instead of his own ship. It was obvious that he was not really a true pirate, as he was a little too trusting by Vex’ guess. I mean, who just suggests going aboard another captain’s ship where there could be a trap or something?
At least it would give Vex a greater degree of control over the proceedings. “Agreed. When we dock I will have some of my men ready to show you the way, and we will discuss things further. “ He watched as the image of the other captain hung around for a second before the link was cut off, and then spoke once again into his communicator. “Master Val, I request you and your Commando’s presence in my meeting chamber. And send a couple of your men to the dock to escort Captain Dal to us when he arrives.” With that, he made his own way to the room.
Once inside he made sure that his precautions were still in place. He moved to the side of the blank, plain table that was opposite the door so that he would be able to see them the moment they arrived. He didn’t bother with hiding any weapons, instead relying on his own dart pistol and the four highly trained and extremely experienced T’vaoans to deter any would-be troublemakers. All he did while waiting was sit down, and make himself comfortable. It was, after all, his ship.

(Hope this is all alright yami.) Nek Dal - T'vaoan Merchant Neutral Systems To our future!"Understood, I'll be there shortly." Shutting off the call once it was completed Nek worked on finishing up the line up so the docking champs could be connected and the pressure starting to equalize. That would take a bit to be sure so it would give the trader time to make sure he was presentable and also get the little gift he had for Fell. And unlike last time he had it all ready to go on the bridge and didn't have to try and run to his quarters to get the gift and have to rush to the hanger. With the special gift in a little bag to make sure it was a nice surprise Nek made his way toward the docking clamp. The crew were in pretty good spirits really, business had been good lately and Suf seemingly backing off had let a lot of stress and worry just leave the crew. It was good days. Hopefully it would continue with this meeting. Dressed in his normal old Human leather jacket with the Human star on its shoulder, a light shirt under the open jacket, and dull green Kig made pants to fit around his legs Nek tapped his fingers on the bag he was holding as he waited at the connection between the two ships. He could see a good bit of movement from the other side so was a touch worried but on the whole not really. And with a ding he was good to go, walking across the blackness of space through the armored connection and then into the other vessel - the 'Furtive Glance' if he remembered correctly. He was greeted with a squad of armored T'vaoan waiting for him. What a welcome party. "Greetings friends, weapons and whats in the bag?""Aye, glad you know how this is going to work."Nek handed over his magnum, knife, and boarding pistol out of his jacket before opening up the bag to reveal a bottle. "Its standard practice in the BB and other trading places. I knew that walking over here but its all fine. Are you part of the ships crew or a separate Cell?"The Major that was heading up the search and meet seemed like a fun chap despite the large scar on his right hand and shook it a bit in a 'no' gesture as he slipped Neks weapons into a box for later. "Nah mate, Entourage. The Shrouded Spear at your service."Nek made a little whistle as they started to walk toward the meeting room. "Impressive he hired an entire Entourage, but then again you would need proper Kig-Yar expertise to raid and pillage quickly and I'm sure the Spear of yours is very sharp."The Major just smiled and nodded before asking Nek about his ship and crew - which Nek gave a brief explanation of how he was more trade focused than combat so he had a smaller and less fighty crew, but it took all sorts to fill up the Nest horde pile so it was all good. But soon they both quieted down as they neared the meeting room and it was opened by the Major. Nek able to see the Captain himself with Commandos and a Champion backing him. Impressive. But Nek was used to this kind of think so despite the rapamt tales of his cowardice he smiled and walked forward brisky with a salute. "Good to see you Captain Fell, I brought this for you to hopefully begin a long and prosperous relationship between us." With that he set the bag on the table between them and pulled the top of it down, revealing a bottle of Human wine. The Captain had wanted to trade with them after all, this would be a good way to get him into the mood to get some more by being nice. And having a drink to commemorate the meeting would also be proper.

Vex Fell – Kig-Yar Pirate Neutral Systems To your health!
Even though the first thing Vex saw as the door opened was one of his majors, shown with his red armour and needler, his attention quickly shifted to the one that had followed him. He wasn’t dressed in the armour of a combatant, or the standard suit of his own crew, but in more civilian-like clothes, with a bit of human influence on the overall style. He was almost certainly Nek Dal, the captain he had been waiting for, and it was becoming more and more apparent that he wasn’t in the game of proper piracy, if he ever was. Disappointing, but that didn’t mean he wouldn’t still be useful, and it might even mean he would be easier to control.
“Welcome to my ship Captain Dal. I propose a drink before we begin, seeing as you have so graciously provided.” Vex stood up and moved to the storage cabinet that was on the side of the room, opening it to show some basic supplies and assorted goods that might come in handy during negotiations, including a pair of glasses. He brought them back to the table and poured some of the wine into each cup, before sitting down. Deciding to show that he trusted the other captain not to poison him or anything stupid like that, he started drinking first, swallowing about half before placing it back on the table.
“So, as to business. I have heard you are in the business of trading with humans, and wish to propose some kind of arrangement. I am always looking to expand my organisation, after all, and I believe that I can make it worth your while.”

Nek Dal - T'vaoan Merchant Neutral Systems Business chat.
Sitting in the offered chair as Captain Fell when to get some glasses Nek set his arms on the table with his hands clasped together, ready for this. It was good to see that the Pirate Captain kept a well kept ship as he had been on several that were in just a shocking state of despair and filth. Just good to see that not all Pirates were uncouth murderous slobs. They were nice looking glasses too. He did wonder though if the many guards were going to stay.
Taking the glass after it was filled and passed to him he went to raise up the glass to make a little toast before Fell just gulped down his own glass himself. Well that was one way to do it. Drinking around half of his he set it down for later and returned his hands to clasped together on the table as he listened to the other Captain.
"You heard correctly - some of our Covenant alligned fellow Captains have told me to cease my trading but they can't stop good business and have slackened off lately. And even if they get on my case again you could act as a middle man if needed. Get us both rich from under the Covenants nose." Best to lay out the possible problems before they got too far. "But an alliance between our ships or helping you set up your own contacts are both things I can help with. As I told you before this meeting should we both reach equal terms you'll be going with me too a Human meet up. What kind of cargo do you have for trade or what kind of thing are you looking for from them? I'm not sure if you can speak their trade language so I may need to be a translator between both groups."
