BB Info PageNek Dal - T'vaoan merchant BB Main Trade floor Good so far.It had already been a long day, and there was still around two hours of trade time left! There had been a large amount of Pirates than normal at the BB meet this time. Especially today. And while Pirates were normally fine at the BB meets since they were dealing with their own kind these ones...wooo boy. They smelt terrible, they were crude, and some of them seemed to think that because Nek had a reputation for being a push-over they could just demand better deals from him! The nerve of those murderers! Thankfully for Nek he was well liked by Gial Vep and so his request to have some additional armored BB security by his stall was granted. It was even granted for free which was nice. The Two Ibie'Shan guards looking bored as Nek hadn't been approached recently but they were getting paid to do nothing so were happily doing just that. The space behind Nek currently stocked with a selection of Human and Covenant items from his ships inventory, as well as a datapad on the table in front of him with a full inventory on it for those who were looking for specifics and numbers. Of course the bad was securely attached to the table with some metal wire but that was just common practice. Business at least was going well as the Pirates had need of supplies, food, Boom Boxes, and weapons. So at least that was good even if the actual dealing wasn't going as well with all the abrasive and foul smelling Pirates. And Suf haddn't called him in awhile yet so that was also good. Yeah, Nek thought as he leaned back and sighed as he stretched, day actually haddn't been that bad really. The talking and dealings of trade continued around Neks stall as the BB meet continued, one of the best places to come, search, and purchase anything your little heart desired!

Rok Mel-Slave of Ultimae Wealth BB Main Trade Floor About to be sold
Rok grumbled to himself as he was guided through the crowd. Cuk and Nin were trying to get good deals on him but they all fell a little short.
"This is useless! At this rate we should just give him away for free!"
Nin yelled, she was obviously pissed with all the horrible deals they were getting.
"Easy Nin. You need to be patient. There will be a good deal. Oh what is this now?"
Cuk turned her attention to a stall run by a T'voan. It was guarded which was a good sign in many cases but what peaked her interest the most was the covenant items behind the stall. With saying a word Cuk grabbed Nin and Rok and dragged them all the way to the stall, she let go of her grip on Nin and pushed Rok closer towards the stall. So close he hit against the stall and grunted in pain. She pointed at the T'voan.
"You. I see you have some.....nice items to be traded. I like that. I want to make a trade. Some of your covenant tech, for this here Kig-Yar."
Rok snarled at Cuk and Nin. He wore a makeshift muzzle making him incapable of biting or talking and his hands were bound which prevented him from removing the muzzle. On his back he carried a small bag carrying what little belongings he had. Rok turned to the T'voan and stared at him, not in a hateful way, almost...in a pleading way.

Nek Dal - T'vaoan merchant BB Main Trade floor Oh Aecor not Slavers again...
Glancing down at his PP again Nek was almost glad it was almost time for the days main selling to be over. There would be around a six hour break after this where the merchants left the stalls and just let manifests and inventories in their places. Buyers could still go and look as to what was there but would have to wait for the merchants to return. It would let everyone take a break from the shouting and the haggling - and Nek could use a break after all the shouting...Just head upstairs and get himself a hot meal and hot tea combo, then head back to his ship and have a nice long nap before returning.
But he did perk up when a female voice screeched across the trade floor - something about 'give him away for free'. That didn't sound like a good thing. It sounded like Slavers, overly attached sellers, or aggressive sellers. All equally bad in their own way. Slavers for obvious reasons, more so for Nek, but either seller could be the type that thinks their product is too expensive for anyone here, but still tries to sell it and just gums up the workings. At least the BB Security would remove them if they were being too much of a nuisance. Attached ones are just the annoying ones who want to sell but also don't want to sell and just string everyone along. More annoyances to the machine of commerce.
And then of course it was revealed, when the two females and their male 'item' pushed through the crowds to Nek, that it was indeed Slavers. Thankfully the two women were too far away to see Nek shudder.
Slavery was a divisive topic among Kig-Yar even to this day. He knew that the Humans had mostly gotten rid of that in their history...After Nek asked them about it because he was curious, but he had seem some of the Independent ones use what amounted to Slavery for new members, captured enemies, or their own members who had failed. So Nek had quite a lot to say to the Human that told him about it and then called his own people 'evil' and 'barbaric' for still using Slaves, damn hypocrites. But Kig-Yar on the whole saw it as less of a huge issue than the Humans - well most of them. The Kigs fell into about three main groups on the issue really.
----
There was people like Nest Sha; people who abhorred Slavery in any form and went out of their way to stop Slavery from happening if they were close by and in a position to stop it. Like they did with Gel all those years ago and Nek couldn't love them more for taking a stand against it. However Gel has in more recent years, due to their numbers, been able to convince Sha to allow them to use 'Hard Labor' for their convicted Criminals, but only that.
Then you have people like Hul, who use Slaves quite openly, except they don't use Kig-Yar as slaves anymore. They use other species instead, but at least treat them well and more just have them as low wage workers. That is unless they step out of line or mess up.
And then of course the Pirates and groups like the Spice Sisterhood, where everyone and everything can and will be a Slave to them if they get their way. Like the Pirates Nek had been enslaved by for a few years. Hence the shudder.
(So either no slaves, only slavery as a punishment/only none Kigs as slaves(selective slavery), or slaves everywhere.)
----
Thankfully for Nek besides the out of sight shudder he did well to hide his disgust at the two females and their muzzled and bound item. Leaning forward a little with the tip of his beak resting on his hands. He would do what he could to help the poor Kig but he couldn't let that be seen by the sellers. Or the price would skyrocket. So instead he just mmmmmm-ed before narrowing his eyes at the Slave.
"Maybe, you've piqued my interest. What skills does it have? I don't want to be shortchanged a useless waste of food for good weapons and technology."
Nek felt dirty and disgusting talking like that...he used to be there for Aecors' sake. His attitude, though necessary, was probably terrifying the poor guy. He would make it up to him if he was able to get him out of this...fuck.

Rok hissed at at the dealer after what he said, only to be smacked by Nin with the plasma pistol she had for self defense. "Shut it." Rok looked up at Nin and snarled. In response Nin lifted up her pistol once more as a threat which caused Rok to stop.
Cuk actually needed think about the question, which only pissed Rok off more. "Hm.....well as you see he is rather aggresive so you could use him as a guard. He is also quite adept at cleaning. He's certainly had to learn how to on our ship." Cuk and Nin both laughed at that though Rok remained silent. "We will be honest, we understand he is near worthless but he does have a few select uses. We will take what we can get for him. We were thinking he could at least get us a few weapons."

Nek Dal - T'vaoan merchant BB Main Trade floor A good actor when needed.
Well that was a blunder on their part, calling their slave worthless. These females really didn't have much use experience in the trade world. And, speaking of experience, Nek glanced down at his PP which had finished loading up the small dossier BB had for these two - normal information all were required to submit like time active and crew size to be able to trade at the BB. Not that experienced at all. Seemed like they were all hiss and no fangs. How did they manage to subdue and keep such an aggressive Slave he would never know...Well until he asked the Slave.
Unlike them however Nek had years of experience in trade and despite his normally timid demeanor when he needed to act the part he could pull it off. Just couldn't do it as well under pressure. So to the trio of other Kigs the T'vaoan would look almost bored as he scanned over their profile before looking over the item again, just nodding as he examined the three of them before finally nodding more emphatically.
"A Boarding nail then," a expendable asset, normally criminals or failures of the crew that were pushed to the head of a team to soak up the bullets for the real team. Nek turning around and grabbing a box before stuffing two plasma rifles into them as well as an energy cutlass - but just one. "You are lucky I am in need of excess fluff to be in the way of my teams, heres what would outfit two normal raiders." Thunking the box on the table he sat back and made a dismissive wave at it. "This concludes the business," he finished with, holding out his hand for the slaves leed.
