So, I'm back. I think. I hope. I want to rp again, at least. Anyway...pretty sure I'm not the only one, or won't be the only one, who would like to know what's going on in M9 so far. I'd appreciate it if someone could be a dear and give me a quick rundown of what's been going on in the main mission thread with both the UNSC and the Covenant, and everything else in between. Please? It can be in paragraph form, or in bullet form. Whatever is easier. Thank you in advance.  |

Well Llau, as for Mike and the ONI/Spartan group, we, uh, kiiinda haven't gotten anywhere since you left... So on the bright side, you're already caught up on that at least! Really though, I still haven't been disciplined enough to get back into it, and then A120 had a serious IRL issue arise that even now still has him MIA as far as I know, and you've been gone so... yeah. Our progress has been pitiful to say the least. No idea how the rest of M9 is going since I haven't been keeping up. |

M9's Progress has been slow, mostly due to the Summer and the beginning of school for most. It's still going though.
So far, the UNSCS Iowa had managed to "Skim" the planet's orbit long enough to deploy dropships containing the 120th MEU and their attached units. Echo Company's Pelicans have dropped them off, and they've managed to establish a defensive perimeter (to say the least) around the LZ in Lake Town. The 12th Recon Company is heading further out into the town to find civilians, and evacuate them.

For us covies not a huge amount has happened. But we have landed, made a base camp, and have sent out two main forces.
The main focus for us is to find the Heretic camp - its defenses, and work on getting Revuuls head. As such we have a small hunting party sent out now, mainly Kiggles and Furballs - to grab some heretics and get some info and locations. A good amount of the force still at the main camp for when we get the info we need.
The secondary objective is to send a decent amount of force just over to the Hooman city to cause trouble. Just kind of to distract the Human force for what we are really there for. Cause while the jellies may want to purge the Hoomans the Jiralhanae and Kiggle leadership (Garatus and Kael) just kind of want to get the Jelly head and then leave (And them two are leading it now so we get to say ye or no :> ). Mark this planet as a good farming place for later groups from Kigs and Furballs to come too and establish some farming stuff to help.

Thanks, Llau. I'm trying to help the UNSC side of things progress a bit farther. Faclan is right. As far as the Covenant side of things go, the Covenant haven't really shown themselves especially in Lake Town outside of a Platoon/Creche sized force. So far, the UNSC doesn't have a full idea of why the Covenant are there or even that there are two main forces...separate forces (Covenant and Heretics) creating the illusion of one massive Covenant force.

Well, there /is/ one thing we could use ONI for. If ONI peeps can be at the Hooman Town then I think stuffs can happen.

That could work, but I would be the only active user with an ONI character who could go down there if I decide to have Mike become bored up there in space, since A120 is currently MIA. |

Well, I haven't been paying too much attention to the mission, but the Marines are deploying/deployed.
My Colonel is still inbound to the planet in his Albatross.
The naval situation I'm not really sure of anymore either.
