Covenant has been tracking the pesky Heretics. However, the Heretics don't know the Covenant are coming for them. They're focused on looting resources and exterminating the Human insects.

Assuming Edto's in low orbit, depends on the position of the ship. If she was directly above them, all they'd have to do is look up. If she was on the far side of the planet, they'd be oblivious.

Good point, the Warband would probably take notice of the incoming Covenant.

While I was honestly unaware of the Heretic fleet over the colony, thought they were covertly on the planet, the naval strategy of the ‘vanguard’ warband and surprise force is still viable. I’ll write a post for the ground as my Ultra unless Fac want to go first on the transport ride down.

While I am thinking of posts, should we be engaging the Heretic naval warband?

I would assume as much. Edto is holding position in the stratosphere as ordered.

Sorry I haven't posted yet. Trying to type it on my phone has become a pain because I can only write and post when I'm in wifi.

I assume UNSC can be detected by the Covenant? No one could have missed the hole the UNSC ships tore coming out of slip-space. However, the spots of individual ships, I would say no; the UNSC ships are millions of miles away (though in space that number declines rapidly, since speed isn't constant. A full burn will continue to add speed, which is why NASA uses m/s/s (miles per second, per second) or if you're Canadian/Commonwealth, km/s/s). The UNSC aren't detecting individual ship positions either, not yet, but both sides have the ability to detect large masses displacing or changing course. You would be able to detect anomalies, which you'd then match with silhouettes of certain ships, but you couldn't be certain for sure. That is where probes and sensor relays come in handy. It wouldn't matter how good your sensors were, or how advanced, if something a million miles away sensors wouldn't be able to detect the different between a warship and debris in space. Since there are asteroids and other objects moving in space that would be tracked by sensors as well, data would be inconclusive until both sides drew closer to each other so sensors could start making outlines of the ships individually. Hope this helped.

I'm lost as to what my character should be doing right now. Sorry about that, I'll be working on a post this evening to try to give direction to the Covenant troops.

Alrighty, peoples. We, the glorious warriors of the Covenant, need to stomp before we are rolled over. What is the status so far? Any details that need to be noted before I post up on Ground too?

Well at the moment we got the two main teams of peeps. The main focus is finding Revull and then peaceing out. The Jiralahane and Kiggle leadership aren't super happy with having to exterminate a bunch of farmers and farm land and so are trying not to make a bunch of damage in that respect. But we dont want the Humans to know why were are here so they don't ruin it so we are also sending a group to attack the city as a distraction force. But at the moment just small groups of hunters are being sent out for the Heretics and the rest are waiting at the base camp for the hunters to return with info about the heretic camp so we can move out and get the leader. Then probably just leave of the Kigs n Apes have their way. Mark the planet for later farming when the Jellies lose interest.
Hope that helps.

Hi there, for those of you who have met me, great news, the character was approved! For those of you who haven't, I'm Caramel, the newest Covie member with a Corvette ready to role...play. Ha, see what I did there? Anyways! Any suggestions on how I can make an entrance into M9? I messaged BetaWülf, but I have no clue what his activity is like. Hai Caramel Raccoon, BetaW and Cyan are pretty busy with the RL (as we all are >.<) but I have a touch more free time so will try to lend a hand. Since your Jelly man is a ship dude that opens up some possibilities for us. But I am sorry to say that I dont think M9 will last that much longer since a lot of people have stopped positing it in. As such we are going to be trying to wrap it up soon(ish). But that does make a nice opening for your guy! Us Covie players still need to get off the planet so that could work. Could have talky talky time with my T'vaoan female Champion Kael as she calls back the force to prepare to leave. Hope that helps.
