Klix is plotting something devious to get pelicans on the ground practically undetected until they start heating up in atmosphere (but by that time it is too late normally). So I think it would make a lot of sense if the hell jumpers dropped down somewhere around there to assist in the defense. But hey, the final answer's up to the admins, not me :3 (Just here to state my opinion on the matter. Also because I'm bored as hell with nothing to do) |

Last night, while I was typing up my original draft, my browser had crashed on me. Admittedly, the original draft was fairly rushed. So, rather than get angry or let down, I decided to use this to my advantage, and spent the last few hours repolishing the post, adding a lot more length and quality. I'm rather proud of myself, and I'm glad to say my post is finally up! |

If everyone could edit their posts to change from the Kilimanjaro to the Iowa I could have the 120th MEU deploy (that includes the ODSTs) in a few posts. As it stands Dave is needed for a deployment post as everyone is on his ship. |

I'm merely the owner to a character who has the ability to accelerate time a little in the absence of a ranking staff member. In order for me to use that character, you guys have to be relevant to his position, and since his posting is the CO of the Iowa I will then be able to do something about it. This isn't something that is discussed before hand. Dave was originally RP'ing his Admiral but had to 'break' to deal with his personal problems. |

Hey guys,
Been busy with college (got accepting into a Senior Military College oh yea) but I'm going to try to catch up on this new mission and maybe deploy my ODSTs as it's turning out I have a lot of free time on my hands on weekends now. Anything I should be aware of before I start trying to crack posts out or read the mission?

In a general deployment, however, ODSTs deploy in two methods:
Conventionally, where ODSTs take pelicans and other transports to the surface. They use this method when the inventory of HEVs doesn't support the number of ODSTs deployed on a ship; HEVs can't be launched for some reason, like thick atmospheres or high G planets that would crush the occupants; or their simply wasn't a need to deploy the HEV pods.
Orbital Insertion, where ODSTs go 'feet first into hell' with the HEV pods. They use this method when they deploy behind enemy lines, need to rapidly deploy from a warship (and are able to do so) or for what ever reason the HEV is authorised for deployment by the vessels commanding officer.
Obviously, once a HEV is launched, it is consumed during the launch and isn't salvageable and can't be reused. If the vessels CO feels they can spare the logistics in acquiring more HEV pods, he may tell the ODSTs to deploy on the pelicans.
