Nice post just now blackshot . You made one small oversight, though. The Silent Sanguine is an ONI Prowler. Non-ONI troops like your ODST wouldn't be stationed onboard, especially considering it has no drop pods. A ship that size probably wouldn't have it's own shooting range either. I suggest you edit your post to be on another one of the UNSC ships instead. I think the options are MrKill 's Iowa, John 's Normandy, or David 's ship-I-can't-find-the-name-of. |

You can deploy on the Iowa if you'd like. The 120th MEU resides within her hull, but for the sake of mission continuity, I believe the 120th MEU is on Dave's ship this mission.

Indeed, quite fitting.
All though Dave still has to confirm if the 120th MEU is deployed on the Iowa or Kilimanjaro. Both ships will be present during the battle so it doesn't really matter which one the MEU is deployed on.

So I'd like a clarification, I noticed the ground post doesn't have any posts, are we waiting specifically to see what grid we deploy in or are we free to deploy and set up defenses and get civies spaceside.

OK I feel really stupid for asking this... but where is the Kilimanjaro? Like I havn't seen anything about her in the space thread so should I edit my earlier post to put my team on the Iowa or what, because right now I am boxed into a corner with nobody to interact with and nothing to do as the Kilimanjaro hasn't gone to combat alert.

You can if you want, the Iowa is played by my Klix character; as active as I'd like to be in space, I'm not keen on writing a novel for myself. I realise the space thread as decent activity right now, but it's mainly the ONI group talking amongst themselves, the actual UNSC fleet is kinda inactive. Not to mention I don't even know how many warships Dave has within his fleet, only my own (which would be the ships I listed for my battlegroup in my most recent post).

According to Kill's Admiral post, we have exited slipspace and nearing the planet. Am I correct? We have troops in the Rally Compartment that still need a briefing from the Platoon Commanders/Platoon Sergeants >.> <.<

Will be posting in the Space Thread tomorrow to progress the mission if John aka Bones does not post. And sorry if I seem impatient. I just want to get the ball rolling for M9 on the UNSC side for both ground and space and hopefully finish before the start of my semester in late August gets too demanding for writing. Status: - UNSC ONI and SPARTAN Task Force will be deploying soon. - UNSC Ground Post/A Hairline Fracture Thread still requires progression from OICs and NCOICs; PCs or NPCs. |

Okay, guess that could use a little clarification then. All I know is what the ONI and Heretic intro posts say, which is that the Heretics are raiding for supplies and that ONI has now determined their location because "they have taken the bait". Source: M9 Heretic intro post Source: M9 ONI intro post Until now I've just kinda been playing along (cuz that's what RPing's all about, right?), acting like Silas is in the know even if I as a player have no clue. So, yeah. I can make an educated guess as to what's going on, though. My guess is that ONI, aware of these raids, has preemptively hidden some kind of tracking device (and in all likelihood more than just one), among goods anticipated to be stolen by the Heretics, hence "the bait". And in taking this bait, we now know either where the bait was stolen from, and/or where it's been taken to. So I suppose the question we should be asking Remnant, being the one in charge of the Heretic faction, or maybe Llau is, "So hey, apparently we have a lead on where the Heretics are, so, uh, where is that so we can go there?"Unless of course I'm reading this completely wrong. Which is possible. EDIT: So tell you what 999... While we wait for our answer, if you have time you could at least do a post in the space thread to the effect of "And we all get in the Black Cat and fly down to the planet now", and save the specifics for when we actually start posting in the ground thread. ...Or I can do that around Thursday-ish. Whatever comes first. |
