TOTALLY not inspired by Cat's thread. I have a collection of miniatures that I have been working on for awhile. Some are painted but most of them aren't even out of the box yet. They just look so cool! xD I'm hoping that by me posting them will help me get them done faster. It's kind of hard with a bust schedule and lots of awesome video games. Most of my guys are Warhammer 40k miniatures. My Space Marines are part of the Crimson Fists Chapter for those of you who are curious. If you have any questions on what something is, how I did something, or what I used feel free to ask. Or just comment about how awesome they are. That's cool too. I guess I'll start with the characters/singles I've made so far. Table of Contents (eventually): The Crew (My Armies):Space Marine Crimson Fists 20160430: CharactersSpace Marine Chaplain w/ Powerfist: Eldar Warlock: Space Marine Sergeant w/ Combi-Melta: Space Marine Veteran Sergeant w/ Power Sword and Grav Pistol: Space Marine Emperor's Champion: Callidus Assassin: Elites:Eldar Fire Dragon Exarch: Vehicles:Space Marine Rhino: EDIT: Will start putting my guys in the OP for easy view along with putting them in separate update posts. Also be adding different sections of different things (troops, characters, vehicles, etc) as I post them.

Oh I want some minis bad. Either Chaos Space Marines in purple and black/green or imperial guard with a splinter urban/forest/autumn pattern. Great painting though man.

!!UPDATE!! Today I finally finished my Emperor's Champion. I started him a long time ago when I just started collecting minis and I started painting him but never got around to working on him until last weekend. Was mostly done then, just put on the finishing touches today. While put him under Characters in the OP. Space Marine Emperor's Champion: Will probably work on another character next. Will put in an update on the Troops I already painted on here.

Understand that it took me a LONG time to get to the amount I have now. I'm a busy dude and some minis have a lot more detail and take more time than others. Plus it's all down to how much you want to put into it. My buddy has some, all he did was spray paint them and painted some armor on them and he was done. Nowhere near as awesome looking as my dudes though. xD
Plus I'm just putting up the ones I already painted awhile ago. That Emperor's Champion was the newest one I painted in awhile. Before that it was a tank.

!!!UPDATE!!! Finished my Callidus Assassin! Similar story to my Emperor's Champion, I started her a long time ago (many months ago) but never got around to finishing her until I looked up, saw her, and decided to do it. She was mostly done, like 75%, when I started today and she came out pretty nice (at least I think so). Unlike most of my characters, I actually put a coat of shader on her, a black tinted wash to help make details pop more and tint things a little darker. I haven't used it on any of my other guys since I didn't have it when I started and it would be a lot of work to put that over the rest of my army to stay consistent. However she is a special character so she deserves a little nicer treatment. The sword blade I used a dark blue shader but it's kind of hard to tell. I also but a yellow tinted glaze over the green part on the gun but it's kind of hard to see also. She will be put under characters in the OP. I'll post up a picture of my whole group of Space Marines I painted so far soon along with slowly putting on pics of the individual Space Marines. I tend not to paint much over the weekdays because I find it hard to paint something in one night. Again if you have any questions on what something is lorewise, why I did something to my minis, or how I did something feel free to ask. Callidus Assassin:

!!!UPDATE!!! Realized I haven't done one in awhile so I decided to finally but up some pictures of my other stuff. Unfortunately I haven't finished anything recently but I have been working on some, more specifically a squad of Fire Dragons, a flyer, and two very special characters. They are very special because they are gifts to family. Accidentally got my mom into liking 40k minis xD Today I bring you a Rhino for my Crimson Fists Space Marine Chapter. When I bought it I thought it would be pretty much a plastic box and some detail stuff. Never have I been so wrong. Opened up the box and turns out it comes in all kinds of pieces! I even had to put the treads together! It took me about a week or two with an unforgiving schedule but got it done. Before anyone asks, yes you can open the ramp and put things in it. If you notice that it has a bit darker blue, it's because I decided to put a shader over the whole thing. The insignias I took from water transfer sheets that came with the box and one from my box of Tactical Marines. Obviously being a vehicle, it will get put under a new section in the OP. As always, if you have any questions on what something is lorewise, why I did something, or how feel free to ask. Space Marine Rhino:

!!!UPDATE!!! In honor of Table Top Day, I decided to upload pictures of what I have finished so far for my Space Marines (please don't mind the stuff in the background ). It's compiled of my Chaplain and the Rhino, ones you have seen before, and my 10 man squad of Tactical Marines. I only have one other Space Marine painted that's not in the photo so you aren't missing much. In the rulebook this is technically all you need to play a game: a HQ choice (my Chaplain) and two Troop choices (2 5 man Tactical Marine Squads) with the Rhino as a nice bonus as a Dedicated Transport. This is by no means the best recommended way to play nor the full extent of my army. I still got Sternguard Veterans, Assault Marines, a Force Commander, Pedro Kantor, and a Vindicator to paint but it's enough to play. I will eventually post pictures of the individual members of the Tactical Squad but right now enjoy the full might of my Crimson Fists! (so far) Space Marine Crimson Fists 20160430:

!!!UPDATE!!! Today I finished my Eldar Fire Dragon Exarch! The Exarch came with a pack of five other 'normal' ones and I started them a few months ago but never got around to finishing them (see a pattern here? ). I wasn't too inspired to paint them until a three weeks ago when a buddy told me to just finish what I've started. Being that the Exarch is the most badass of the bunch, since he is their leader, and also the most finished I decided to start with him first. I usually paint on weekends but I had extra time today to finish him. He was...fun to paint. I will say I am so glad I bought toothpicks before I started on him. His face took a lot of time just trying to get it done since it's such a small space and I kept screwing up xD. I actually had to take my knife and sharpen the toothpick to get it to a fine enough point. I had to use larger paint brushes since my finer tipped ones are pretty much busted. Funny thing is I went to go buy some this weekend, they didn't turn out that great. Anyway, he's special because he is the first one I tried a new type of paint on: layer. I first painted him in base paint and then put on the shader over everything. I immediately regretted putting it on the helmet and repainted it with yellow base again. He didn't look that great after I put on the shader (too dark) but I used my layer paint for the orange bodysuit. The purpose of it is to highlight to provide contrast to the darker recesses that the shader brings out. It is also a little transparent so you can still sort of see the base paint underneath. I saw a video on it and it recommended two thin coats of layer. So painting Eldar is a little different than painting Space Marines. Space Marines you pretty much paint them all the same colors to show uniformity. Eldar however are different. While their leaders, vehicles, Wraith units, and Guardians (pretty much their militia) are all the same color, Eldar also have Aspect Warriors who are devoted warriors who focus on perfecting an aspect of warfare. Each Aspect Shrine has it's own color scheme independent from whatever Craftworld they live on. In essence, all Fire Dragons are going to be yellow, orange, and turquoise no matter what Craftworld they are from or apart of. This makes them a lot more colorful than most other armies. They are also a little more detailed than most also. However even though he is a Fire Dragon Aspect Warrior I still wanted to show that he was from Craftworld Ulthwe (the Craftworld I chose for my Eldar army) so I painted his right shoulder plate the colors of the Craftworld (see my Warlock of a better example of what they are) to show he belongs there. It was a little tricky but glad that I managed to pull it off. I plan on doing this to the rest of my Aspect Warriors. So here is my Exarch. I will be placing him and the other Fire Dragons when I finish them under a new heading: Elites since that's what Fire Dragons are in the Codex. I plan on the next model I'm going to paint to be either my Saint Celestine or my Harlequin Shadowseer since these are going to be gifts to family and my Shadowseer has a deadline. The Harlequin is going to be especially tough since they have all kinds of nifty patterns on them. As always, if you have any questions on how I painted something, why I did it, or about lore feel free to ask me here. Eldar Fire Dragon Exarch:
