So I figured I'd make a thread specifically for my primary/favorite character; Garatus the Deathless, Chieftain of the Bloodstone Tribe! Herein you will find artwork relating to Garatus and the Bloodstone Tribe. Going to start out with Garatus's Armor Armor Set: Combination of original parts, and uniquely modified Reach and Halo 3 Chieftain armor aspects. The quality of the only scanner I use/have access to could be significantly better, unfortunately.  Next we have the majority of Garatus's tattoos. So we have his tattoos(R and L signify which shoulder is being denoted), the leg tattoos are identical. The three circular tattoos(one on the left side of his chest, two on his left shoulder) represent the three Moons of Doisac; Warial, Solrapt, and Teash. Most of them represent things from his life, but I'll just let those sit unless peeps ask what they mean. The Cranial tattoos were created by the awesome and venerable master Huka! They're flattened out here for easy viewing, with facial features added so people can tell the orientation of the tattoos when sculpted to an actual three dimensional face.  That's it for now! Drew a Jiralhanae Battleaxe last night, wanted to keep it nice and brutey so it is mostly recycled parts. Blade from the Bruteshot, haft of a Gravity Hammer, Spiker blade on the butt of the haft, weapons clamps from other Jiralhanae weapons, ect. Jiralhanae Battleaxe  |

Looks like it can be broken in half, and used for two-weapon fighting, one stabby-stabby, the other chops.

Eugenius(Uncle of Garatus) The Elder Shaman  Character of Faclan (Cousin of Garatus) The Warrior Youth  Character of Remnant The lines didn't turn out as dark as I would've liked after the scan, but I hate adjusting the contrast of the scan, so y'all will just have to suffer. Nawwwww, lookat the grumpy old man with his glorious flowing fur and smacking stick Sweet design on the top of it, would make a half decent spear with those metal wings on it :3 - kinda like a Pitchfork. Is that head in the middle the Sheep Goddess? ;D |

So I've done yet another portrait of Garatus, but this time I went pretty much exclusively with Rh'tol physiology with his design. Jiralhanae War Chieftain Garatus the Deathless  Some of the fine details aren't quite so easily discerned, but I found tilting my computer screen back a little bit makes them easier to see. Hope Y'all like his appearance, I tried to go for strong and worn but not without a glint of ferocity and a kind smirk. |

I fixed the contrast on the portrait of Garatus, and colored it. War Chieftain Garatus the Deathless  And here is a picture of Garatus and his grandson Kronat(he'll be Kronatus as an adult, of course) passed out in Garatus's favorite chair. It's hard work being a War Chieftain and grandpa.  Garatus and Kronat  Hope y'all like it. |

Here's a portrait of Garatus's father; Fenarious the First, better known as "the Butcher" for the unspeakable acts he committed during the First Immolation to ensure the survival of his Tribe and family. He's also the older brother of Eugenius, and Uncle to Karonus by way of being the older brother of Lucius(Karonus's father). He died in personal combat against his eldest son Buratus, who in turn became Chieftain after him; but was killed shortly thereafter by his younger brother Fraktus(both of whom are the elder brothers of Garatus himself, of course). Fenarious the First  I honestly went back to my nostalgia relating to the 2005 King Kong film for inspiration on this piece. I wanted him to evoke the same kind of thoughts and feelings, something that can be both relatable and terrifying depending on the mood. I mostly just took the heavy wrinkling and scarring to show age, but I also included that the right eyesocket was actually broken and sank down roughly an inch or so from the grievous injury. |

It catches the spooky look, even without the expression of murderous rage that he likely had on all the time. Eugine was probably not a fan of chronicling all of his exploits.
