The information behind this thread and where the thread is starting; linkIf you want to join please ask first on there as we have quite a few people at the moment who have joined and I want to keep it concentrated till we get a few posts in. Anyway if you are not using a Post-War person you already made a profile for please include some basic info about your character at the start of your post, information is up to you but here is an example...which I am probably going to post in profiles shortly after this >.>. If you are using a profile already written please provide a link. Name: Ali Gel Species: Kig-Yar, T'vaoan Gender: Male Age: 24 Job: Unlike many T'vaoan mercenaries and fighters these days Ali didn't serve in the Human Covenant war. Instead he was a Border Patrol Guard in the Gel lands, specifically a Coast Guard to keep the Sisterhood and other undesirables away from Gel shores. He volunteered for a transfer to a settlement security guard when Commodore (Kael) Gel got the request for troops, and has been staying at the settlement since then as a guard. Was decently well liked for listening to the settlers when they had issues and being one who enjoyed traveling to their residence to hear the issue first hand. Also well liked among the other miss-match of species who also served as security for being just a nice person to talk too and not a hissy rude Kig. Appearance/weapons:A pretty normal looking T'vaoan adult male without a huge amount of scars but does have a few from Sisterhood raids. He dyes his mane feathers cobalt blue color which fade to grey near the base. He does however keep his arm feather tufts short as he very much enjoys wearing long sleeves. His most recent outfit and one that he finds himself 'pacified' in now is a black UNSC hoodie link which he was able to get from an online Human shipping company. Even though he cant use the hood he has no hate for Humans as he wasn't forced to fight them, and the hoodie is very comfortable to him...and he always wanted one. Under that he often just wears a simple T-shirt with a large neck hole for his beak. Over this he wears a carry vest with armor plus places for ammo and other tools for his actual guard duty; flashlight (for if he can't wait for his eyes to adjust or to give to someone else), restraining cuffs, small lockpick set. And on his legs he just wears short pants to just before the second bend in his leg, with kneepads around his knee, and then often nothing on his feet. Eschewing the normal T'vaoan armor as he never served in the hated Covenant and so never owned a set and didn't feel like he needed to buy one. Often doesn't wear shoes or anything really on his head. For weapons he uses a custom painted Kig-Yar B-R5 in what Humans would call a Dark Urban camouflage pattern with a extended ammunition tube, poking out further than the barrel, extending the capacity to 7+1 shells compared to the normal 4+1. The rifle is also carried with a rifled barrel for use with Heavy Slugs, as Ali had always been a decent shot. Besides this he was competent enough in Gel to be issued a single Gel wrist blade. And on both thighs he has a Boarding Pistol each for if he needs close range power and cant reload his R5. On his chest he normally carries a few shells but his main supply of shells is a bag on his belt, able to be shifted around to either side or his front for sitting but when on duty its moved to be behind him for easier grabbing of shells. Basic History:- Born to a long line of Coast Guards and sailors for Gel, his life path was pretty easy to see. - Did well in training and his basic schooling, well enough to not only receive basic training in the Gel blade but also the right to carry it in public. - Joined the Coast Guard when he was old enough and had a incident free first year besides some rescues. - His first taste of real combat was from a Sisterhood night raid on his patrol craft. But their early warning system let Ali and his comrades know they were coming, and the ambush was turned on the Sisterhood fools. But their numbers were much greater so even with the first strike the boat was nearly lost. Of the eight guards only three survived, and one more died for poison on the way back to land. - Since then Ali has made it a rule to always carry additional weapons in easy to reach spaces on his vessels, and started to get a bit of a reputation for a cautious but very effective guard. - When he was 23 Commodore (Kael) Gel received a contract for some Guards for a newly made settlement. It was only for twenty as the Settlement wanted to get guards from other places to make sure everyone would feel safe settling there. Ali was one of the first to volunteer and joining him would be seven other coast Guards, four former Covenant Majors, and eight Gel University Graduates. Plus some Ruuthian and Ibie'Shans from other clans. - The guarding went well and Ali enjoyed it and the people a lot, but very recently some odd activities have been happening that none of them had seen before. And settlers and guards were being found dead. The settlement activating their distress beacon after the fifth death. Which proved to be lucky for them as Prometheans attacked shortly afterwards. Nearly all of the settlement were injured and a good amount of them dead - but a UNSC vessel heard their distress beacon and arrived to assist. And after evacuating thats when even more issues came up. Ali Gel - T'vaoan settlement Guard Handcuffed and sat in Pillar of Steel's hanger Autumn Class Heavy Cruiser This isn't the biggest issue right now Humans...At least the Humans hadn't shoved them all in an airlock and spaced them when they found the Captain dead. That would have just solved nothing and left them with a known Promethian hotspot that they would have to try and deal with at some point. But right now Ali wasn't really sure what was going to happen. The Humans around, pointing their guns at him and the other 'suspects' looked very angry. Most of the suspects the guards or other former or current fighters from the settlement, as the ones in the medical bay had been cleared of suspicion since they were all visible when the event took place. For good reason he had to admit, but just assuming that he or one of the other Aliens would have killed the very person who saved their lives was just foolish! If it was one of the Sangheili they would have left some kind of evidence, even the sneakiest Kig would have left something. They had clearly found nothing if all of them were still suspected of something - or they would have already found the alien responsible. And of course no Humans were being made to sit on the floor with them...Ali had the feeling it was one of the Humans who was close to the Captain, but of course his suspicions had fallen on deaf ears when he was held at gunpoint and marched toward the Hanger. Or some kind of natural cause. But they hadn't been told anything about the Captains condition, only that he had been found dead. The T'vaoan, and his surviving fellow Kig-Yar guards, had all been fully disarmed of their weapons when they arrived. And had now been stripped of their armor too and made to sit with their hands handcuffed behind their backs. The Sangheili mostly similar but their hands were in front for some reason in different looking restraints and some of them still had some armor on. Ali could only guess who as he sat their with his legs crossed. UNSC hoodie and pants still on as he and the others just had to wait until something happened. This probably wasn't even the only holding location, since when Ali swiveled his head around after being told to stop turning he couldn't see all the settlement guards here. Others probably just being stuffed in broom closets with armed guards. Honestly the Humans needed to stop caring right now, it was a serious crime and a big problem to be sure both others would know how to fly and command this ship. And the glowing marauders were still down there probably destroying their homes and everything they held dear. And those bastards could teleport, whats to say they could just show up here and go on a rampage when all the alien fighters couldn't help...He needed to get to someone in charge and tell them that. But he knew he wouldn't be allowed too right now. The had bigger fish to try then try to catch a killer. Those Promethians knew the Humans ship was here and could be infiltrating right now to kill them all. The T'vaoan growling a bit before looking up at the guards and trying to speak again. "The glowing killers are still down there...we should work tog," but he was silenced by a rifle being pointed at his face and a shout of 'Shut the fuck up chicken!' from the guards. Great, they were all going to die up here...

Marine Lieutenant Samuel Baker On patrol in the hanger of the UNSC Pillar of Steel Welp, so much for helping.....
Lieutenant Baker walked up and down the hanger, MA5 shouldered with his index finger just above the trigger. Even though the captain has somehow ended up dead, he knew that the aliens, which now littered the hanger handcuffed and unable to do anything, wouldn't do something that stupid and therefore cannot be blamed. Even so, he is ready to shoot a space chicken or a hinge-head if they made an extremely aggressive move, but to shoot them in the head in cold-blood? He just doesn't have the guts to shoot em. Which is why 3 of the men that he lead on the previous mission didn't made it back: the damn innie was right in front of him, he could have put a couple of lead projectiles in the bastard, but he just couldn't bear killing unarmed soldiers. The bomb detonated, killing 3 of his men and wounded 5 more. What a great way to start a military career.
The Lieutenant continued on his foot patrol, alien eyes staring at him with what? hatred? desperation? he just couldn't tell. There was one thing he did know though: there are ancient alien robots down there which can teleport up here and kill everything aboard in just a blink of an eye. And he knew that between fighting off these robots and guarding the alien prisoners, the UNSC didn't have enough personnel nor experience.
He was just about to end his patrol when out of the corner of his eye, he saw a guard pointing his gun at a Jackel and shouting at the top of his lungs to shut up the terrified alien (or he thought the alien was terrified)
Great what now? he thought to himself as he raced to the scene. Fearing that the guard would should the poor bastard, he shouted at the guard: "Stand down!" the guard looked up from the jackel, but still pointing his gun towards it, and now Baker could see that the guard was only a private. "Stand down private" he repeated his order "Do you know what does stand down mean? Or should I report to the brass that you should undergo basic training all over again?"
"Sorry sir" the guard said as he finally lowered his weapon down "Its just that this chicken was talking to...."
"Talking?" Baker interrupted "So you basically thought that a space chicken talking is enough to constitute a threat?" he bellowed. His face red with anger. He knew that the soldiers here had a good reason to feel mistrust towards their alien prisoners, but he expected his fellow soldiers to have a bit more common sense.
As no reply came from the guard, he continued to address him, this time with a more cautious, and reasonable tone "Look private, think about it. The aliens are aboard our ship, a human ship. We have absolute control so there is no sane way that they could take over." he paused, giving the private time to think this over. "The real threat is from the ground, those ancient robots that we have to save these poor bastards in the first place"
"But" the private's turn to interrupt "We're up here, there is no possible way that...."
"That's where you're wrong soldier." Baker caught the private short "These robots can teleport, meaning, they can come up here and kill all of us at their leisure" he continued on "So you see, we have much bigger threats to deal with than our alien prisoners." he paused a moment, and took a look to the jackel that the private had shouted at before. These aliens must have some kind of info on these battle bots he thought to himself. No one would mind if he just sat down and talked to a few of them?
He then turned to address the private and his comrades "You guys go and leave me here with this one" indicating the alien "I want to get some intel out of him. And that's an order"
The guards looked at each other for a moment before saluting Baker. He saluted back as he watched them walking off to a distance, not very far, but far enough to not make himself heard. He then knelt down in front of the jackel and addressed it. "Sorry about my boys" he started and jerked his head to the guards "They like to jump to conclusions for some reason. I can't make promises but I'll try to make sure that this doesn't happen to you or to your alien buddies okay?"
As no reply came he continued on "Can you speak English?" he asked "Or at least do you understand me? If so, could you be kind enough to answer some questions? If you do, you might have well saved the lives of every sentient being on this ship" he just hoped that the poor jackel could answer his questions as he pulled out his tacpad.
P.S. Where do I post my profile character thingy? Is there a thread for that? Or do I have to do what you did Faclan?

Captain Luiz “Viper” Javier Selva 103rd Force Recon Marine Corp On Board the UNSCS Pillar of Steel Where are our manners?Luiz found himself sighing at the display of confusion that each member among the UNSC expressed as he made his way into the hanger, tailed by Lt. Cobra. As it was, there had been no movement towards a formal investigation, and even at that they were waiting for an autopsy. Logically, the autopsy would give them the vital information, such as time of death and the method of killing the Captain of the ship. The commotion that had been created by the time he made his way into the large hanger that housed not only the ships that the Autumn class UNSC ship carried within it, but also the aliens that they had picked up from the assaulted planet not very long ago, in which case put them as the suspects of the crime, but why would they do such a thing? The pieces just didn’t fit, and how did these Prometheans play into this mystery? One things was certain, that they shouldn’t be jumping to conclusions. In all honesty one truth would prevail. With the commotion that the private had been creating, Luiz nodded to his Lieutenant to assemble the company in the hanger as requested by the ships command. Making his approach towards the Marine Lieutenant, Captain Selva let his overall appearance sink in as his left eye was covered by his eye patch that hid the scarred tissue where his eye had once resided, along with the metallic node that was directly connected to his optical nerve, letting his eye patch act as a conduit for his left sided sight as well as his HUD, allowing him the ability to keep his sight balance, especially in combat. His BDU uniform was a Olive Drab color as most Marine Uniforms were; however his patches were quite different from those that normal Marine’s bore. His 103rd Marines patch was present as well as his Force Recon patch that distinguished him as a member of the Special Operations unit. “Lieutenant, is there a problem here?” He first addressed the fellow as he noticed that he called the fellow that had been causing the horrid display one of his boys. “If you can’t control your troops, I suggest that you find a way to do so quickly…before this gets out of hand.” He said placing his better right hand on the fellow’s shoulder in a gentle patting gesture. He was still a younger officer, one that he had never met in person; however his scruffy face and dry throated voice still carried a gentle weight that was attempting to reassure that officer of his position, so that Selva didn’t appear overbearing. He was not trying to scold the fellow, but instead trying to casually allow the Lieutenant time to recollect his men that were working with the detail. His M6C was fashioned onto his right thigh in the holster, having had the site removed, which would allow the placement of a silencer if need be, which was housed in his butt bag, along with 9, 12 round magazines for the side arm that he was carrying. His standard issue combat knife was strapped to his left leg, which was of course a prosthetic, but was hidden by the long trousers and boots that were of course standard issues. He noticed the feathered alien that had been the target of the Marine’s harassment, and had received some words of apology from the Lieutenant as it was. Training his eye patched face on the creature, who was of course a refugee, not a prisoner. “Lieutenant, could you tell me why these refugees are in handcuffs?” He asked placing his hands behind his back, letting the Lieutenant have some time to recover from all of the noise that was now surrounding him. “Are we just to assume the guilt of these creatures that have just had all that they had known, their homes, taken away from them by these mysterious foes?” He asked the Lieutenant again not in a derogatory fashion, but out of general interest as he let him address the feathered creature at his own will. If the creature could speak English, then there might be a need for response, but Selva wasn’t quite sure as to if any words would do them any good right now seeing as these orders were coming from a higher command. Even with his experience with the Force Recon, little he could say or do would be able to helps these different races of creatures that were being treated like prisoners rather than refugees. His question posed to the Lieutenant was rhetorical in nature for this reason; however hearing him respond could possibly put Viper at ease as he thought about the younger officer’s intensions with these creatures here in the hanger. His 3rd Company of Force Recon marines had formed up on the left half of the hanger, standing watch over the forces that were in charge of the guarding of the creatures that were inhabiting the hanger. “Anyway, Lieutenant, My feathered friend, It seems that I’ve lacked to introduce myself.” He said with a grunt like noise that was a product of his naturally harsh vocal tone. “I’m Captain Viper, CO of 3rd company Force Recon, who has accompanied me here if you haven’t noticed,” He said slightly tipping his head in the direction of the troops that had neatly formed up just as he had commanded of Lieutenant Cobra. Bio is added here V Sponsoring Staff Member : BetaWolf Faction & Division: UNSC 103rd FORCE RECON 3rd Company Rank: Captain (O-3)
Name: Luíz “Viper” Javier Selva (Captain Selva) Race: Human (Latino/Hispanic) Age: 45 Years old Height: 5’10” Weight: 146 lb. (Weight Class Jr. Middle Weight) Respective Alignment: (for personal reference) Chaotic Good
Appearance
General Appearance/Physique
Luíz is not of a heavy build physically, and in fact is considered to be a much smaller man than many of his other compatriots whom house much stockier builds. One cannot help how they were born to a certain size. However he does make up for his lack in physical size, with martial arts and other weight based balances that help him to compensate for that factor. He is muscular, as a soldier would be expected to be, especially seeing as he desires to better build his physique. His arms though skinny are articulated with muscles; which makes him fairly confident in himself. If he did not moderate his mustache, as is regulation, then he might be able to grow a fine mustache indeed; however that is not the case seeing as he shaves almost daily. His dark brown hair and dim Green eyes are some of his more noticeable features; however he has a very sharp angled nose that is not quite pointed, but is more fitting to that of a right triangle. His nose is a straight line, while his facial structure itself is boney, contrasting in a way that gives him an extremely angular appearance in his facial features.
After having fought through the entire war against the covenant, Selva has received a good deal of physical injury as well as his fair share of battle scars. His left eye has been shredded to pieces, destroyed in an explosion that would not only debilitate his sight, but also would wound his left leg to the point beyond repair. With that, he now has an eye patch covering the void, scarred tissue where his eye had once been. His eye patch is connected to a node that has been put in place of the eye, allowing it to hook up directly to Selva’s optic nerve, giving him the ability to not only see, but to have his command HUD present and at the ready with a direct link to his left optical nerve that had at one point been severed from the damaged eyeball. His left leg has also received a replacement, using some of the excellent binary technology that has been available for quite some time now. Even though his binary leg is hooked up to the surviving nerves that connect to his stump where his leg had been, he still feels phantom pains on the nub end, where it tingles more often than not to remind him of past battles and long forgotten regrets.
Battle Gear
Luíz’s battle gear is very similar to that of the standard UNSC Marine Force Recon, given that his uniform and communications gear are befitting that of a platoon commanding officer (CO). His chest rig; which houses most of his M9 Explosive Grenades, M11 Smoke grenades, and a good deal of his primary MA5 Series Assault Rifle magazines. This rig set up is placed over the standardized armor when allowed, and is normally standard to every soldier. His Type 1 Butt Bag houses most of his secondary gear including his M6 series 50 Caliber magazines and a few other things that might be stored there. His side arm, the M6, is holstered long his right leg. The weapon itself is grooved in such a way that his UNSCDF Combat Knife can easily be held in the left hand while still stabilizing the sidearm.
Strengths
1. Martial arts specialist (Boxing, Judo, Caporia, Aikido) - Luíz has trained since he was a little boy in the art of Caporia; which is a Brazilian developed acrobatic martial art that had carried over into his South American styled community. Having picked it up, he is now considered quite skilled in the art. Boxing, Judo, Aikido and other formal martial arts were skills that he acquired through the basic training that all officers were placed through during Officer Candidacy School (OCS).
2. Well-developed Leadership skills - Luíz has spent the two years of his active service to begin developing active leadership skills. Not only does he value the concept of keeping order within one’s unit, but also believes that one is not worthy to command if they are not willing to put themselves into the shoes of each member, which can sometimes lead to too much compassion. Leadership however gives him a good willed nature that allows him to command with a sense of confidence and control that makes for an effective team commander relationship.
3. Compassionate (Weak Link: Overtly Compassionate) - Luíz has always been a gentler soul on the inside. Even though he excelled within the theoretical training methods that had to be proven during his time period in OCS, He still proves that he sometimes feels too much for his people and even the enemy that he is combating. This compassion is not necessarily a weakness however, seeing as it allows him to make good hearted decisions in regard to moral choices. Also, it allows him the ability to further develop relationships with his soldiers that effectively assists his leadership oriented nature. His compassion can be displaced a times; however he makes his weakness in to a strength by understanding it in this way.
4. Serious (Weak Link: Easily Stressed) - Luíz takes things very seriously. Situations can change quickly; which has led him to becoming much more serious when it comes to getting things done effectively. Sometimes he can take things a bit too seriously, in which case he might need a good calming down and hot glass of tea so that he can be restored to a calmed state. He is Serous to a degree in that he knows when something must be done, and isn’t afraid to take the steps and measures necessary to do so.
5. Tactically Minded (Weak Link: Over Thinker) - When you’re a fan of games such as Japanese Shogi and Chess, one begins to understand the battlefield in a different way. It becomes more like a board opposed to just a set you win or lose situation. Using theoretical tactics was one of Luíz’s specialties in OCS, proving that understanding how your troops move in relation to the enemy, and the environment can change a battlefield. He is all about tactics, and maneuvers.
6. War Hardened/Experienced (Weak Link: Scarred (Mentally & Physically) Having been on many battlefields and tested time and time again, Selva has proven his worth on and off the battlefield as a valuable asset to the UNSC. This obviously awarded him a promotion to the rank of Captain as well as a respectable standing within the military that he had fought long and hard to protect and serve. He is definitely a veteran.
Weaknesses
(Some weaknesses are tied in with the strengths, as it would be with any real person. For this reason some of the weaknesses with be labeled Strong Suit and vice versa some of the strengths will be labeled weak link to display the connection for not only staff reference, but my own as well.)
1. Over Thinker (Strong Suit: Tactically Minded) - Luíz can sometimes (Excuse me, always) Over thinks situations. He is not really into the whole concept of natural instinct and flow, even though he is a Caporista, a performer of Caporia; which would lead one to believe that he would be all about the lax natured concept. He is analytical in this sense to the point where it can hinder his judgement, cause him to second guess himself, or even cause him to make mistakes on the battlefield. If he is under quite a lot of stress, he might have to break it down a bit more before he is ready to proceed.
2. Nosy/Curious - Luíz always wants to be in the loop. This is pushed to a fault, seeing as he will do whatever it takes to know what is going on. He is definitely curious in nature for this reason, and may stick his nose where it doesn’t belong. In this sense he may find himself in a conflict that could have been avoided if he had only kept to himself, instead of asking too many questions. This weakness does not stop his respectful nature however, and coexists with it in a way that allows him to be curious without being disrespectfully intrusive.
3. Compassionate (Strong Suit: Understanding/Compassionate) - Sometimes Luíz cares too much. For both his soldiers and his enemies. This is the other half of the compassion sword; which forces him to choose putting his men into danger with a chance of success in the field or avoiding danger, but jeopardizing the lives of other squads and platoons that would inevitably be placed over him to perform the task anyway. This is his big moral conflict that proves itself to be a weakness as he continues to distinguish himself as a soldier and an officer. He needs to find a balance between his strength and weakness if he is to have any hope of succeeding in the field.
4. Scarred (Strong Suit: Experienced/War Hardened) Selva has been on many battlefields, proving that he has seen some crazy shit. His body and mind have been imprinted with phantom resonance of every single battle he has taken part in, along with the memory of each life he has been responsible for ending. Haunted by this, and reminded by his physical wounds that are all over his body, Selva has trouble letting go of the past, and even more so understands that his future is only encompassing the never ending conflict of the universe that he has to work towards ending. He will never forget that the enemy, they were, “Pretty Good.”
5. Easily Stressed (Strong Suit: Seriousness) - Luíz is easily stressed. Sometimes he can take things way to seriously; which leads to rushed decisions, worried thoughts, or maybe just anxiety in general; which is honestly no fun at all. He is what one would call a worry wart…because he worries quite a bit. His Seriousness can be advantageous when needing to get down to business; however, it can sometimes eat up his train of thought.
6. Complex speaker - Sometimes I cannot be helped that one has an extremely well developed vocabulary. This can cause some confusion with much less educated individuals, and can even cause conflicts if one does not properly understand how a word is intended to be used. Luíz fails to understand when it is proper not to use his collage acquired vocabulary. For this reason, he may find himself trapped in a conflict because he used a word that might not fit context, or even worse, confused the recipient of the message. Obviously failing as a good communicator in this sense.
Biography
Originally born in Bogotá in Colombia, Luíz Javier Selva was brought into the world under the shield of the middle class, just before the Great War began. In fact the thought of a threat beyond that of the insurrectional rebels that threatened most of the more centralized a European cities, the idea of space travel and new colonies fascinated the young Luíz. He and his brother Manuel, six years his senior, grew up in a traditional sense, in that they went to primary, and secondary school like most average kids at the time. He practiced the martial art, Caporia, which originated in neighboring Brazil as a means of self-defense. Proving to enjoy such a sport, Luíz and his brother took great pride in practicing the dance like fighting that helped them find a sense of rhythm. As the siblings reached secondary school, they began to split paths, first with his older brother.
Entering the 7th grade, at around the age of 12, the threat that was being presented by the newly discovered creatures during the first encounter within the outer colonies. The most well-known conflict along the outer worlds began to spark as this first contact lead to bloody conflict throughout the outer colonies for many years. Luíz attended the Universidad de Bogotá after graduating high school as his brother, having spent five years as part of the local garrison, was deployed out to the outer colonial worlds to combat this rising threat that continued to press in on the human race. Luíz was proud of his brother’s choice to defend his home world and his race; however he knew better than anything that when he last said goodbye to his beloved sibling on the eve of his deployment, he knew that he would never see the smiling face of his brother ever again.
Luíz went on to continue his studies as a political sciences student, studying the world of internal planetary politics, as well as inner and outer colonial customs and political systems. This went on quite a while as he progressively built himself up to prepare himself for the real world. This was until he was informed of his brother’s missing in action MIA Status that surely meant that his brother had been killed in battle beyond the ability to identify clearly. This horrible tragedy, Luíz swore that he would take his brother’s place, and decided to attempt to prepare himself for officer candidacy by joining his university’s Marine ROTC program that was more active than ever with the approaching threat of the Unknown creatures that still seemed more like meager shadows compared to an actual threat as he continued to train with the unit at his university.
As he began to enter his junior year of college, Luíz began to find himself building up his military know how, as well as his physique. After having trained for such a long period of time, he eventually qualified for Officer Candidacy School after he had completed his four year degree, graduating from the Universidad de Bogotá. Officer Candidacy was quite a difficult time for the young fellow, seeing as he still didn’t know what to expect at the age of twenty-two as he began to learn that being an officer in the Marine Corps for the UNSC was much more difficult than he had first expected. His need to learn himself first, than how to work with others was a definite necessity; however he eventually began to get the mechanical concepts of marksmanship, hand to hand combat, and other simple things of that nature as he was eventually shipped to another program aboard one of the many naval freighters, after being accepted as a candidate for the Force Recon Special Forces Unit, not only to take over a position as a Lieutenant, but also to begin learning what it meant to be a member of the Force Recon.
Luíz quickly caught the gist of most of the Force Recon Specialty trainings, which included combat scenarios after being cryogenically frozen, and even tactical combat in vacuums with zero gravity. Fun as it was to shoot stun rifles in weightless environments, Soon Luíz would be deployed as the First Recon Commander of the 2nd platoon within 3rd company. Having worked under many captains, Luíz continues to express his respect for his commanding officer, no matter what his name might end up being for the mission. His Platoon has remained the same for the whole duration of his command, and overall he finds himself enjoying the preparations to move out to combat these creatures that he had heard so much theoretical bits of information about. Fresh to combat, the 2nd Lieutenant would find himself not quite understanding combat as he was deployed for the first time to some of the few remaining outer colonies that had not been glassed, turned into crystal balls in space.
When official beginning his first tour of duty, Selva found himself being reluctant to directly face the enemy. His Unit was made up of Force Recon marines, some of the hardest members of the military known to man. In theory, he should be excited that his unit had been selected to do the forward reconnaissance and scouting. That is mostly what they ended up doing, but the reconnaissance was mostly passive, and at a distance. It was not until after more major conflicts broke out did Selva and his troops begin the Kig-Yar, and other creature like aliens that proved to be more resilient than he had originally expected. Having taking a casualty rating of 5% of his troops during the battle, his platoon got off much better than the others that took a good deal of casualties. After proving his unit in many other battles, Selva continues to fight for his men that follow his commands. It’s for them and his brother that he fights on even though fear is quite gripping in such a dangerous world. After a decent battle record over the next two years, Selva was promoted to 1st Lieutenant, providing him with a more experienced position, setting him a part as a distinguished member of the Force Recon.
After fighting a long and hard conflict with the covenant, and receiving many taxing injures, He finally made it to a state of peace. This was short lived as problems began to arise once again, proving that War, thought never changing in nature, was definitely changing into something different, something unseen.

( Profile link: yappashalorpg.com/thread/10833/field-officer-mike-moretti-updated ) Commander Michelangelo Moretti ONI, Section Three Tactical Field Officer On Board the UNSCS Pillar of Steel Unknown Variable He was walking silently toward the hangar, glaring a little as he headed there to observe the other personnel and the aliens who were being held inside there during the investigation into the Captain's death. There were a couple of things he knew that the others didn't, and he smiled wolfishly a little at the what he knew, and what he will never share with the others. One of the things he knew of, was the fact that he knew that the Promethean would be on the planet based on scans, and aided the ship's Captain there. The other thing...well...he kept the grin as he made his way into the hangar, and scanned his eyes about; ignoring the angry aliens who were restrained for the time being, as he strolled further in. The Commander found a place to sit, and conduct his ONI business privately, as he sat on top of a crate. He typed away on his TAC-PAD, accessing personnel files, as well as checking files on the aliens who were identified, while he listened in on each conversation, and minded his own business. It wasn't long until he received a message from his Operations Commander – Major Wagner – who wanted his SITREP. He typed back, saying, 'Situation still green. Will give further information later.'He glanced up when he heard the Captain question the Lieutenant, since he was sitting near the two. “ I ordered them to be placed in restraints and sent here for observation, due to the...circumstances of the Captain being offed by someone or something, Captain Selva,” Moretti explained, “ It's protocol...something you should know, yes? So, they are guilty until proven innocent. Just because they are bloody refugees, doesn't mean shit to me when a UNSC personnel is murdered after the Captain goes out of their way to save...these damn aliens.” He stared at the two for a moment, and then down at the T'vaoan, and grinned a little at him, scoffing slightly, before returning his attention down to his TAC-PAD. " And Lieutenant?" He glanced up at Baker from beneath his eyebrows. " Of course the T'vaoan understands and speaks English. Are you daft? I heard him babbling on his way to the hanger in English. Saying how he thinks it was someone who was closer to the Captain who did it." He smirked a bit. " Funny. The damn space chickens are funny that way...can't trust any of them."

Ali Gel - T'vaoan Guard Handcuffed in Pillar of Steel hanger So many Humans to chat too, and one asshole.
Ali's expression could better be described as neutral or slightly 'ugh' when he was told to shut up. If Humans had come to their settlement and the current elder had died...well he did during the attack. But regardless if that happened when they showed up they wouldn't be held at gunpoint on the ground restrained...Well. Actually that was a lie they probably would. Frowning at this realization Ali hummed and looked down at his feet and wriggled his talons some as the Humans talked back and fourth about what he had done and why the apparent newbie had acted the way he did. He reminded Ali of a jumpy fluff from Gel when they came to be Coast Guards. Confident in their ability until an enemy snarled in their direction. The foolish would panic and allow a deathblow, and the ones who took advice would remain calm and then return fire. His mane did raise up at being called a Space Chicken but he mostly let that slide as he had a lot bigger things to be angry about than name calling. Now looking back up at the Humans he listened as they went back and fourth. The one with more marks on his shoulder seemed to be getting proper angry at the fluffs quick reaction. Good to see that not all the Humans immediately blamed them.
Seemed the older one also knew the real danger they were in. In all honestly Ali knew very little about the glowing robot things but he had seen them poof around during the battle at the settlement and so thought that they could probably do that up to here too. He couldn't guess at the correctness of if they could take over or not because from the tiny time he had been on the ship he hadn't seen the extent of the fighters the Humans had. And while his fellow guards of all species sure took a hit from the battle there were still a good number of them. But now he was being addressed directly as he was the one singled out to get Intel? Oh fantastic! JUST want he wanted was to be interrogated on the floor of the hanger...
Carefully watching the man with his bright bird lizard eyes Ali waited until he was finished talking, rolling his eyes some before replying. The T'vaoan still in his comfy UNSC hoodie and pants. "I can speak and understand your language - I assume you cannot for mine but thats neither here nor there right now. I have serious doubts that my answers to questions I answer can save anyone as as you said and most of us think those Sunk bastards can probably come up here any time they want and kill us. The murder of your Captain is important to be sure but if they show up they won't care if you are doing an investigation and we won't be able to help you. And I don't know how your military culture works since unlike most of my fellows here I didn't fight you all during that war - but I don't want to die when trussed up like the space chicken you all call me." Pretty to the point if a bit long winded as he kept sitting there. But then looked over when another Human showed up. This one with way more stuff on his arm, and judging by how he spoke down to the other plus the stuff Ali assumed he had to be a higher rank. But just guesswork really.
He did seem to be a bit more sympathetic to the aliens plight, even if he did call them creatures. Didn't matter much to him at least he was talking to Humans now and not being shouted at. And although he didn't serve in the Covenant and the Gel Coast Guard could better be described as a milita, since the Kig-Yar normally worked in smaller crews and not a full military, he still did know some things about military etiquette. But with his hands handcuffed behind his back he couldn't salute so instead he just bowed his head to 'Viper' - what a silly Human name.
"Ali Gel Master Viper, I'm sure you heard my conversation with your crewmember."
And then another Human spoke up in a veeeery haughty voice. Making Ali turn his head around nearly 180 degrees to look back at him - probably weirding out the other Humans if they had never seen a Kig do that before. And before the one in black even finished speaking Ali decided that he didn't like him. At all. He seemed to be speaking very derogatory to these other two Humans so maybe he was even higher ranked? But his entirely different uniform made Ali suspect he was part of a different division. Would rank still apply in that situation? But on the outside Ali just narrowed his eyes before speaking up. Most of the other Kig-Yar former security getting a bit ancy now with Mr Black and still a lot of guns around.
"You know what else is funny? How you think fancy words and a grating attitude will be able to stop those glow boats when they show up to murder you. Unless you plan to fire at where they are coming from from orbit I doubt you can really fight them. And every unit we waste here will be more time for them to figure out a way to get up here. And I still stand by what I said when dragged here by your soldiers. None of us would have had time to learn the ship enough to sneak around to do any murdering, most of us can't even read English to understand all the signs on the wall. So you need to get off your Crows nest (high horse) and stop assuming Mr. Black - it had to have been one of your Humans if no one else saw anything, or those glowing things are already here!"
May need to gag that one Mr. Black.
(Hope that works for everyone, had fun with this post :> .)

Marine Lieutenant Samuel Baker On board the UNSC Pillar of Steel This is not gonna be good......
Just as the jackel answered, he heard a human voice behind him. He turned his head around, and found himself staring at a Marine Captain. The captain then asked him why the alien bastards were in restrains, something that Baker himself, wanted to know. Before he could answer however, another voice that came from the opposite direction. Both he, and the jackel, whom had introduced himself as Ali Gel, turned their heads around to find that there was a ONI Commander addressing them. Baker hadn't seen the guy when he first came to reprimand the guard of his actions, but hey, that's an ONI spook for you: never see the bastard till he was directly above ya.
As the spook asked him a question, he immediately stood up and answered: "No sir, I am not daft" he continued on "I do not have much information on the topic regarding Covenant subspecies and the like. So if you are kind enough, could you share some of the said topic?" he asked. He was being careful not to piss off the guy cause if that happened, then there wouldn't be anything left of him to mourne.

“I’m familiar Lieutenant Commander.” Selva uttered formally, hoping that his body language didn’t express how unhappy he was. Keeping his face calm as he formulated his response to the conclusive ONI officer, he figured that Mike just enjoyed pissing him off. “However, as I’m sure you are aware Commander, A formal investigation must be issued before suspects can be effectively apprehended.” Captain Selva informed as he exhaled looking back to the feathered creature for which he had just spoken with a moment ago and the Lieutenant that he had just addressed. “Do you have the autopsy reports, was a time of death established, a means?” Selva asked as he shook his head, crossing his arms as he allowed himself to recollect his thoughts. “Lieutenant Thorngate, Come here for a moment would you?” Viper asked as the alien bird like creature addressed him.
“That I did,” He confirmed for the feathered creature as he said as he figured that creature spoke English. His HUD began to retrieve all the information that he had access to on the creature he was now being faced with. “And I believe he has a point Commander, Why have there been no arrests among the crew if we want to follow protocol?” Captain Selva asked as he contemplated what he was saying as he explained to the ONI officer what was now fairly set on arresting every single foreign creature on board the vessel. “It would be best to ask around the crew, as well as begin doing your…ONI research on these creatures,” Selva suggested as he slowly put his hands behind his back and made his way towards the ONI officer at his own pace. He figured that the Lieutenant would follow him as he shook his head in a calm manner. “How about you and I begin working on a formal investigation…if you’re not opposed to solving this crime Commander.” Captain Selva said looking back to the Marine Lieutenant Baker. “Lieutenant Baker, do me a favor and release Ali Gel for me, He is now employed under my command for formal questioning,” Captain Selva said making sure to be within arms reach of the Lieutenant Commander so that he would be close enough to proper converse with him.
“Commander, Ali Gel will be with me for the time being if you’re not opposed to letting us talk with him.” Captain Selva said more affirmed to himself than in request for permission. He was sure that the ONI officer would understand that questioning was part of standard protocol, and even more so figured that it would be much smother to have his assistance in solving this case as it was. Selva wondered how the fellow would respond.

((Tetsu, just point of reference It's torngate not Thorngate (No H) )) Character Profile, little more in depth than I posted in the OOC character area earlier. Just a little short form I put together from the Oscar Company form and ours here, supplemented with info I made up. Wheee!!
Faction & Division: UNSC Force Recon, former UNSC, ODST Division
Rank: Former 2nd Lieutenant, Ret, Currently 1st Lieutenant. Name: JC Torngate Race: Human Male, Caucasian Age: 47 Years Old Date of Birth: 20 June 2523 Birth Place: Parabola-Class Freighter, 2.45 Light Years from Sol System UNSC Military Identification: 8542148 Service Number: 32569-11680-TJ Height: 6 Feet 0 Inches Weight: 176.3 lbs Blood Type: AB-
Personality Profile: JC is a rather cold and calculating person, with a short temper and a flair for being offsetting to other people. He's a bit of an outsider, not fitting in and not easily accepted by many people. He has zero tolerance for insubordination, and will follow orders even if it puts him in undue harm, knowing it's for the greater good, people got promoted to where they are for a reason. He doesn't talk too much, rarely initiating conversation. When he's out of regulations, or speaking freely, he is definitely sarcastic, referred to one trainer as a "cheeky bastard." When he's more at ease and comfortable in uniform he still has a bit of a sarcastic tone, but can be serious when the time calls for it. He also gets along better with machines than people, until you get to know him. If you do get past the front coldness, a much more open and in depth man appears before you. He takes a kind enjoyment in taking apart and putting together equipment, be it field stripping his weapon and putting it back together to taking apart random electronics he finds to figure out how they tick and to make them better. He also can be carefree and happy, but that's a rare occurrence. He's forward in confidence about orders or calls from up top that he finds to be illogical, but follows them all the same. He also has a short temper and little respect for a commander who abuses or talks down to his men, preferring commanders who will stand the line with the cannon fodder and fight with his men, instead of being at a map in orbit. He has a very high pain tolerance, and won't admit he's in pain until it's blatantly obvious, often insisting that medical care goes to the less injured before him, that as long as he can fire a rifle he's good to go. He also has trouble sleeping at nights, and will volunteer for the night watch as often as regulations permit.
Physical Description:
JC is a six foot flat, relatively young person. His face shows the scars and signs of many battles, but no physical scarring or damage. He also has a slightly unusual gait to his step from a childhood in 0.7-g's. Due to growing up in synthetic lighting, not a sun's warmth, he's rather pale due to lack of sunlight growing up. One positive aspect from his time on the freighters was his height, due to life in 0.7 g's. His personal grooming is strictly regulation, no signs of being anything but a robotic soldier until you get to know him better at a personal level. JC is clean shaven, with the usual body type for a heavy lifter and transport child, well muscled and in pretty good overall shape. His hair is brown, and close-cropped. Not quite a buzz cut or shave, but less than one inch thick at it's thickest. His slight facial hair is a constant, grey, five-o'-clock shadow. His eyes are cold silver, often described as being colder than titanium, as if he's trying to keep emotion out of his eyes. He's got no ink on his body, nor does he have any resemblance of scarring, except for a dislocated nose from a childhood altercation.
Background Information:
JC was born on an old merchant transport en route from Earth to Meridian Station. He grew up on the merchant ships in the fleet, no one place to call home. His father was a helmsman and his mother an engineer on different ships, constantly transferred around. He was never raised to the customs of any planets, but was raised with a distinctive dry wit and humor, and learned American customs and traditions. His schooling was done by ship's libraries, supplemented by shipboard AI's when available. In schooling, he got excellent grades on the engineering systems and math, but was average in his other subjects except history. He failed history twice, but scraped through eventually. He hated the transport, and never really felt at home on the slow and bulky sublight transports. He hated them even more after they were attacked by insurrectionists in Meridian airspace, the cargo lost and his mother killed when trying to stabilize the reactor. The company was more mad about the cargo then the death of his mother, and the UNSC never caught the insurrectionists, The UNSC already drifting out of Meridian favor. After he got off the transport with his father two years later, he was a strange child, never fitting in, but never being too far out of line on his new home system. Him and his father settled on Sigma Octanus IV. He didn't make many friends, and stuck mostly as taking this apart and putting them together again. He was bullied as a child, which gave him some better street fighting skills then he would usually have, but not good formal fighting skills. He can be taken on by a good trained fighter. He was born and raised a transport boomer, and so didn't learn to swim well and never really got good at swimming. As soon as he was able he enlisted in the Marines, mainly as a cause to get off the planet and away from his father, now a raging drunkard who spent more nights in jail than at home. At first he going for a job as an engineer, joining the Marines as a Technician and Engineer. For about a year he was in the marines, and was assigned to inner colonies, seeing no combat having no opportunities for advancement or to prove himself, mainly helping out the local police forces on tough cases before being transferred. As he went on, he volunteered for the ODST corps, hearing of ODST raids on Insurrectionists, thinking back to his past encounters with the innies, also wanting to get a bit of action in his life. He was accepted, and completed basic and emergency training, qualifying for the helljumpers. Training was brutal, as the best was expected. Thankfully he was strong enough, having grown up moving shipments and large objects on the transports. Upon graduation, he was assigned to the UNSCS Kilimanjaro's division as a part of the 153rd ODST company, 42nd Shock Troops battalion. He served there for much of his career, and eventually was promoted to 2nd Lieutenant. After a long career, he was forced from flying pods to flying a desk, and then from there to a discharge from the UNSC. He then served as a freelance private security specialist and mercenary for the most part, doing odd jobs for the UNSC when the chance comes along. He had civilian variants of the equipment he used in the Corps until the year 2256. By the time he had been discharged, his former squad was long gone. Willow had been killed by a Sangheili sniper, Bishop had been captured and tortured to death by rebels under the command of his father, who was later killed by JC, and Boomer had been discharged before committing suicide due to PTSD. JC was drafted back into active duty by Captain Luíz “Viper” Javier Selva in February of 2256, into the Force Recon branch. He was promoted to First Lieutenant and serves as XO and assistant to the Captain. His civilian gear was traded back in for regulation UNSC Force Recon gear, although his is still similar to his old ODST armor.
Strengths: Excellent with electronics and computer systems, fluent in multiple languages used in the UNSC, and good enough shot to qualify for the BR55 rifle, his standard go-to for medium to long range combat.
Weaknesses: Sub-par, but still qualifying, hand to hand combat skills, and has a short temper when it comes to people disobeying orders. He's not quite as strong as he used to be, but is still quite strong enough.
JC Torngate First Lieutenant, Force Recon UNSCS Pillar of Steel The Lieutenant, hearing his name, walked over and quickly saluted the group. "You called for me, Sir?" he said, keeping an outwardly calm demeanor, but was a bit put off by so many aliens around. Not that he had any issues with aliens, it's just that not long ago he would be shooting and not saluting the group. He fell in behind his Captain, and waited to be addressed. His body was at attention, but his right hand was down near his sidearm holster, in case it was needed. Professionally, he was at strict discipline not to ask too many questions, but personally he was quite curious why there were so many different creatures here. He looked around, seeing what appeared to be a restrained Kig-Yar, make that several restrained Kig-Yar, a handful of marines, a marine who appeared to be interrogating the Kig-Yar in question, and on Office of Naval Intelligence officer. He swore inwardly. Hadn't ONI done enough damage over the last couple years than to be making enemies of the aliens again? It's true he had no soft spot for aliens, but he had less of one for ONI. He followed their orders because he had to, but he had no obligation to like that officer. He kept his mouth shut on his opinions, but stole an icy glare at the officer. As Ali Gel was released, he raised an eyebrow, but was silent otherwise, knowing orders were given for a reason, but still he loosened his safety on his holster. He waited to see how this would turn out. His stomach grumbled softly. He hadn't had his breakfast, and he thought back to his morning coffee now scattered along the mess hall floor. He was very hungry. "This is gonna be a loooooooooong day..." he thought inwardly, though his face probably showed some misgivings, plus his posture.

Lieutenant Samuel Baker Hanger deck of the UNSC Pillar of Steel Oh boy.....
"Lieutenant Baker, do me a favor and release Ali Gel for me" Captain Selva addressed him.
"Sir yes sir" he replied as he reached for the handcuffs of the poor bastard. Deep down however, he knows that there is a bigger threat than the murder of the captain. He just hoped that his fellow officers, especially the ONI spook, knew that to.
As he released Ali, he whispered into his ear "Warn them about the robots in anyway you can". He then turned to addressed Captain Selva "There you go sir, he's all yours"

Commander Michelangelo Moretti ONI, Section Three Tactical Field Officer On Board the UNSCS Pillar of Steel We can do this the easy way, or the hard way...
He stared at Ali for a long moment, while listening to him. He twitched a little, but decided to ignore him for now. He was very close to wrapping tape around the T'vaoan's beak, but he'll save that for later. He listened to the marines, and when one of them asked him to talk about the Kig-Yar, he scoffed lightly.
“What am I? Your mother? Do you know how to read? Go read about them yourself.” He then grumbled, “idiota cazzo...”
When Captain Selva spoke to him, he sighed in annoyance.
“Captain, I don't think you even know how to handle investigations,” he muttered. Standing up, he glared at them as they released Ali.
“Lieutenant Baker,” He called out to the Lieutenant. “Restrain the prisoner again. Don't make me order you twice.”
He then went over and stood in front of Selva. “This is an investigation of the Navy, and this situation is a crisis involving a UNSC Navy Captain's murder. And how do you know if I haven't arrested any of the crew members who were last seen with the ship's Captain? Because I'm pretty sure I have. They're in the brig right now being interviewed by my subordinates.”
“If you want to join them, go ahead...” He tilted his head a bit, and grinned a little but briefly. “And I don't mean as an extra interviewer either because if you continue to impede my investigation, and continue to flaunt your rank at me like some big shot with a stick up your arse against ONI personnel, then you'll be making bloody friends with those crew members inside the brig real quick, mate.”
“If I feel these alien bastards need to be restrained for the time being, then it's for good reason. Just because there's a cease-fire, doesn't mean any of them are nice, friendly, innocent aliens to us. Who knows which one is still with the Covenant, and has infiltrated with this lot. The Human-Covenant War may be over, but to some, it still continues. The remnant still wants to destroy all of humanity.”
“You don't trust me, I get it, but I wouldn't be doing my job if people trusted me,” he said, “Just remember. Poor assumptions can get you and others killed, Captain. So keep your morals and fairness to yourself, and do what you're told. If you want to interview these aliens, then go ahead. As long as they continue to stay restrained and stay in here. That's an order.”
He stared him down for another minute before he turned around to walk out of the Hangar Bay. He paused, and looked over his shoulder. “As for the glowing monsters...if they wanted to teleport onto the ship and finish the job, then they would have by now.” He turned around halfway to view all of them better. “Yes...they are of concern, but until then...investigate the murder, shall we? I'll be back momentarily to check on things here.”
With that being said, he walked away; not caring if any of them had anything to retort back with.

Ali Gel - T'vaoan Guard Uncuffed? Cuffed? In Pillar of Steel hanger What in the Depths is going on...also eff you mang.
As he was still restrained on the floor Ali couldn't do much besides watch the Humans start to talk about him and the situation at large. It was actually quite enlightening to see that the Humans worked this poorly together when there wasn't a direct battle going on. He had heard from his clan mates in Gel that had severed in the war against them that only the fluffs of them would panic and the older higher ranked ones were relatively stoic and quick to respond to offensives against them.
Maybe it was because it looked like a horde size argument was going on. The Black asshole and the one with the largest shoulder thing in this group arguing about protocol and what to do. The T'vaoan's eyes rolling as he watched this from where he sat. This was unbecoming of military forces to bicker and argue like this. They could learn a thing or to from the Gel keep forces. Stoic and silent but quick and violent. Off duty it was a different story but this was a situation where they should have acted up to snuff. Perhaps they assumed the aliens couldn't understand them arguing like chicks?
The T'vaoan just shrugging and looking down at his feet as he stretched out his toes to keep from getting too sleepy. Then his cuffed hands behind his back for the sane reason. Rolling his head around and glad he had his hoodie on still as the floor and hanger in general was cold. Still listening as they went back and fourth before looking up when he heard he was going to be released? And joining some kind of investigation team? Ali could get behind that. He had to follow a few leads through to find Sisterhood sympathizers and conspirators in his coast area back on Eayn and could probably help. And even if they just wanted to ask him about the attack and the clues they had seen before he could help with that too.
Shifting around on his rump so the one who was told to release him could more easily get to his cuffs he nodded in thanks as they were removed and then nodded again when the Human whispered into his ear hole. Sounded like sound advice. "I'll try, we did see some things before the attack." Turning around to be facing them he opened his beak to start and explain the signs they had noticed before the attacks...before the Black Human interrupted him. Though he hadn't made any kind of hostile action when released and moved slower than normal to not put the Humans on alert.
Well so much for that.
Since he was still sitting Ali just hissed in annoyance before holding his hands close together in front of him - not how he was restrained before but it would be more comfortable for him - as he went back to listening. Mr Black sure seemed to this he had command of this ship with his pretty clear threats against the other Humans. Was that something allowed in their military? Aecor no wonder they had so much trouble during the war if that was the case. But he did pfft and speak up when there was a pause in the Black Humans Tirade. "You assume we didn't do background checks and only hired those we trusted? What? Do you think we just lived in holes in the ground down there banging rocks together?!" He squawked out, feathers raising up not only for insulting himself and the other guards but also for just making light that many of them died and had their homes destroyed.
If it wasn't clear up till now with Ali's words toward the Black Human he REALLY didn't like him.
But he glared at the black Human as he just turned on his heel and left. Ali wanting to have the last word to him as he screeched after him. "You would run away and let others do the work for you! Like some Sisterhood Slaver Scum! I bet you are going off to commit more crimes! Or tell the Glowboats exactly how to get up here!"
Quite a Vocal T'vaoan compared to what most of the Marines were used to.

Marine Lieutenant Samuel Baker Hanger of the (Just take a damn guess) This is not gonna end well.....
"You would run away and let others do the work for you! Like some Sisterhood Slaver Scum!" Ali yelled at the spook. Baker turned towards him, eyes widening as if they would pop out. He has never seen, or heard, any sane being insult an ONI agent like that. He then addressed Ali "Damn man, you are either the most bravest bastard I've ever met, or the most idiotic" he continued on "Do you know who that guy is? He's an ONI commander. You know what ONI is mate? It's the agency that can make you disappear into thin air without you even knowing. No one would know you disappeared." right now, he is really concerned for Ali. If that spook took offense, which seems likely, then Ali days are kind of numbered.

Captain Selva gritted his teeth as the ONI officer began to hold a scolding tone. He listened quietly, as a decent soldier should as Mike enjoyed hearing himself talk way too much. “Ojala” he said shaking his head while rubbing his temples with his thumb and forefinger. “Amigo, Líder, I get that you’re in charge, no objection.” He said throwing his hands up, letting the Lieutenants Baker and Torngate understand that he wasn’t going to be combative. “With that in mind, any other orders…Commander?” he asked slowly placing his hands behind his back. Selva didn’t particularly like having Mike in his face, but all the same he was the commanding officer.
“Lieutenant Torngate, Prepare the men for my orders and send me the autopsy reports of the captain if they are released yet.” He whispered to his Lieutenant before returning to the Commander once again. “So Commander, what do you purpose we do?” he asked, figuring that the fellow would suggest something along the line of leaving it to ONI; however there were only so many ONI officers, and more over Force Recon and ODST were normally the tools to be used by the intelligence officers for espionage and many of the intensive missions that special forces could most effectively complete. He let his expression of duty take control as he was ready to be the subordinate soldier, having had his fun. It was time to get down to business, and spend less time worrying about freeing the refugees.

JC Torngate Don't piss off ONI...
Relaxing as the situation abated, JC replaced his sidearm in his holster, but left it unlocked so he could quick draw. As the alien yelled after the ONI spook, he shuddered a little.
"I'd reccomend that you avoid pissing him off" he whispered to the alien, imagining what might happen. ONI was known for... Creative methods of eliminating threats. He remembered back to when he was a civilian before being drafted to Force Recon. A ONI Chief Petty Officer and operation that reminded him to keep his head down around these spooks unless he had an exceptionally valid point. Such as a superior officer giving him a direct order. His Captain definately was more important to him than this ONI sonnovabitch, but he still respected and would listen to the ONI spook... To a point.
As he got his orders, he snapped off a quick "Aye sir" and salute, moving off a bit to relay the orders, but still staying in earshot. After calling the sickbay to have them send up the autopsy as soon as it was done, he called out to his men of the first platoon. "Platoon, Fall in now!". He watched in satisfaction as the marines of the ship took over the gaurding of the prisoners and the platoon fell in ranks in front of him. He looked over to the replacement guards, and one caught his eye.
"You there! Crewman! Don't stick your rifle IN his neck, you dumbass! Don't they teach you people guard protocol in basic anymore??" The target in question was a crewman, probably no older than 22. Too young to remember the hellholes of the original wars. He looked more like a child in a costume than a soldier.
This was turning out to be a very eventful day...

(Sorry about that DX I was waiting for Llau and have been distracted lately and forget to check back D: - shall try to post after I sleep with Ali. Just assume everyone that Mike vanished in typical ONI fashion and we can see how the thread goes from there. Either trying to figure out the Captains murder or getting a team ready to head down to the planet.)

Ali Gel - T'vaoan Coast Guard Sat in Pillar of Steel hanger Cowards...
Looking around at...every single other Human in the room besides the asshole Black Ali was honestly surprised at them. They were so scared about just one person who was supposed to be on their side when they were all in danger! Danger of being turned into that orange ash shit the glowboats liked to throw around! The T'vaoan wriggling around on the hanger floor as he was still restrained as he grred and glanced around at all the people. Cowards all of them!
At least the Black Asshole was gone. That was something that started to calm him down. Ali closing his eyes as he thought about the calm Gel shore during the early morning when he would have breakfast with his mates, taking some deep breaths before nodding. Whatever time they had or thought they had was rapidly running out. They need to do something. His mane smoothing itself back out to its normal appearance from how it had been puffed up before.
Well it was before he acked and nearly fell over when a rifle was stuffed against his collar and neck from one of the guards. Coughing a few times since his calm breath was knocked from his throat he glared at the young Human as he worked to get it back. What a group of right fluffs these Humans were...
"I," another cough before he ughed and started again. "Have an ocean of hate for that Scum. And I don't care what group he's a part of or what power he supposedly had. All of us are going to die unless we do something. That should be your concern now, not some spoiled brat who can't get his way with the refugees!" A breath to calm down again before he tried to say something actually helpful.
"We saw signs before they showed up, I'll try to give you a list if you will do somthing besides just waiting around. Either getting a team together to go down there to sort them out - with us or without - or just getting us away from here so they don't find a way to get up here."
(Although leaving may make the most sense I don't suggest we do that or the thread would probably end very soon :> (The other ONI may prevent leaving also, cause secret plans) If someone wants to reveal some Captain Death info it will seem natural, a heart problem.)

JC Torngate First Lieutenant, Force Recon UNSCS Pillar of Steel
Seeing the young man still bungling with his rifle he marched over and snatched it out of his hands. "Jeez kid are you trying to break his neck or guard him??" He rolled his eyes and tossed the rifle to the ground. He bent down to the prisoner. "I must sincerely apologize about that." he said to the alien on the ground. He may have been their prisoner, but he still was a sentient being.
On his authority he moved the T'vaoan to a sitting position, still under guard and handcuffed but now not making out with the deck. he then turned his attention to the crewman who had bungled a simple guard job so easy. "You there. Drop and give me Twenty, then report to your quarters and relearn guard protocol. That's an order, GO." He didn't usually like giving the mean orders, but with no captain the crew was shaken, and needed a strong outside hand to guide them.

Líuz "Viper" Javier Selva Captain, UNSCMC Force Recon, 103rd Marine Expeditionary Force, 6th Marine Reconnaissance Battalion, First Company. UNSCS Pillar of Steel
Captain Selva was appalled by such a lack of interest from the ONI officer. Though they juggled the information and analyzed it, it was the Force Recon and ODSTs that gathered the data, put their live on the line for the sake of espionage and information security. It was at this point Selva officially turned his back on Mike hoping he would disappear in his usual fashion. To his gratification, his request was answered. "Damn him to hell..." Líuz muttered in disgust as he walked over to the soldier who had been in turn scolded by his XO and Lieutenant JC. "lieutenant, I'm glad to see that you're to the very least in control of this situation." Selva said patting his friends shoulder softly as suddenly he began to receive a data feed on his left eyepatch HUD that allowed him access to the autopsy reports of the ship's captain.
Selva analyzed the data presented before him; which indicated all of the known conditions that could have caused death in the fellow. According to the report, it was some sort of heart failure. "Hmm strange..." He said looking to the side for a moment as he quickly touched the side of his eye patch, sending the data presented to him to JC's HUD gear as well. "lieutenant take a look at this..." He said assuming that his XO was taking a look at the reports he had just sent him. The death itself looked to be some sort of natural cause; however it didn't rule out the possibility of poison if any was present in his blood stream. Heart failure is a common result of certain poisons that slow or accelerate the heart beyond its limits. Strange as this was, it didn't prove the Aliens' innocence or guilt seeing as further investigation would have to be done before anymore about the death of the captain was assumed or assured. The glowbots had not shown any capability of simply killing someone with heart failure before, unless this caused the captain to die of fright.
"lieutenant, what do you think about this?" Selva asked as he began to conjure up theories as to how the incident couldn't just be natural causes. If the evidence pointed in that direction, Selva would have belived it hands down; however some serious shit must have gone down for ONI to get involved. Obviously there was strong belief that this was no accident. Rubbing his chin stubble, he contemplated what they were going to do at this point on. With Mike suddenly gone, he was not sure as to what command wanted of them. As far as he could see, things were not looking too good.

As the Captain cursed out the ONI spook, he smiled a little bit. He didn't particularly have a fondness for ONI, so he didn't mind the occasional cursing their name. He knew the spook might be back, might not. He hoped not, personally. His soldiers had lined up, and he had them go to parade rest with a single hand motion. He counted off as the crewman pumped out his twenty, "One, two, DO THAT AGAIN SOLDIER. Two. Three..." and so on. He wasn't nice about it, but when he finished, he helped him to his feet. "Now go to your quarters and learn that protocol again, son. Alright?" in a much kinder and gentler voice. He knew he was intimidating, instead of Force Recon standard armor, he had retained his ODST armor, outfitted with elements of the S-1/ONI Recon BDU suite, but only parts of it.
His armor consisted of the standard ODST armor, with the different chest plate, but kept away from the torso orb. He had all the special sensors and gadgets, but besides the base difference in armor type it was indistinguishable from regular ODST BDU's.
He got the notification as well, and put on his helmet to view the data. He was confused. "No idea what to do with this one, sir. I'm a soldier, not a doctor. This is beyond my understanding." he said, completely flabbergasted. He saw nothing that showed anything but natural causes, but didn't rule out foul play. "I don't know about this, ONI got involved so obviously they think these fine gentleman did it, but I find no evidence to back that up." he said, not knowing what to look for in particular.

( tento125 did you want to join back up?) Ali Gel - T'vaoan Guard Pillar of Steel hanger Still waiting.Just grunting as the Human apologized for the fluffs blunder Ali was once again back to doing nothing besides sitting restrained. At least his hands were in a more comfortable position now. Which couldn't be said for some of his fellow Kig-Yar guards who were seated on the floor around him. Several cheeps and pheeps coming from the Kiggle section of the hanger as they started to talk as the Humans deliberated. "Ali...what do we do now?""Nothing we can do Tia - nothing at all and that infuriates me so much! They are just going to keep us here and talk and talk and talk." " 'Ey Calm down Gel," the eldest T'vaoan spoke up from near the back, scooting a bit so he could see Ali who turned his head around to look back. "Give them more credit than you are, if it wasn't for them we would have been stuck on that planet and picked off at the glowboats leisure. They may not be doing anything directly right now but they did save our lives.""More like prolong our deaths...but fine. Fine. Fine! I'll calm down." Turning to look ahead as the elder nodded and went back to sitting quietly Ali closed his eyes and tried to relax again. Soon flopping backwards on the deck to lay on his back. Letting his mane act as a pillow for him as he rested his cuffed wrists over his stomach. Having moved a bit forward so he didn't lay on anyone's footalons. Hopefully something would be decided on soon as this sitting around and doing nothing wasn't going to get anything done.

JC saw no indication of the T'Vaoan guilt, and poison wasn't their style. Like the Elites, they had an honor code, and poison didn't fit the bill. He took this into account. "OK, that's enough. Get these people uncuffed, but have them stay sitting. They can sit up but I want armed guards on each of them until we can confirm their innocence. If the ONI person shows back up it's on me." he ordered his soldiers. Quick enough, the aliens were pulled to their feet, uncuffed, and ordered to sit.
JC then addressed the alien in front of him. "I don't know about your men there but if they don't know English tell them to sit, and don't do anything stupid, and they can stay uncuffed until we can prove your innocence. I'm inclined to think you weren't involved with this but I'm not taking too many chances. Understood?" he asked. He tried to sound in charge but honestly he was not. he was breaking regulations by doing this, but his gut told him something else was at play here.
He then observed the rest of his soldiers, satisfied at their work. As per protocol the weapons of the aliens had been confiscated, but JC was sure that eventually they would be returned. He hoped that eventually he could make amends with the aliens, but something kept nagging him. Where had he seen this alien before? Or was it one like him? He wasn't sure, but it nagged him.
