ANYWAY.

As you can see by the section that this is going to be a fun filled post war thread! Probably a good few years after the official ceasefire and most of the fighting stopped. It will be taking place mainly on one (kind of small) ship.

It will be one of these, credit to Cabel for making the proposal;

However, with the fighting done and not a massive need for these ships in fleets anymore as standard med bays do the job, a few of these ships have been purchased by Civilians and the vessel in this thread has been converted from a medical ship to a luxury cruise liner for discerning Humans. And will be doing a cruise as the thread starts.

However, such a juicy target won't go unnoticed, especially one with a bunch of bastard Humans on it that is so weak in the weapons department. So a group of Kig-Yar Pirates quickly find, catch up too, board, and seize the vessel. Most likely killing a portion of the passengers and holding the rest for payment or for sick enjoyment and slow killing.

But others would have seen this/heard the distress beacon, and ain't gona let them get away with this that easily. As such some rescue teams are quickly scrambled to get the vessel back, and possibly destroy the Kig-Yar ship as well.

But

These rescue teams may not just be Humans. Could be more Kig-Yar, a cell trying to make a name for themselves. Some Unggoy wanting to do some good and kill some chickens. A few Jiralhanae wanting to get on Humanities good side. A few young/old Sangheili finally finding some real combat to train with or elders glad to have somthing to sharpen and show off with. Perhaps even Yanme'e who are searching for a purpose and think this will help give them guidance.

Its a really open thread in essence, and one that I'm sure we can all have a lot of fun with

Aquarius Class Luxury Liner Write-up:

Background:

The Calabar Company known for its luxurious and affordable cruises purchased six surplus Aquarius Class Medical Transport Hulls following the end of the Human-Covenant War, and drew up plans to convert the surplus hulls to their own luxurious standards. The process took roughly two years before the first surplus hull had been stripped of its old medical bays and the SSAK-49 Turret to make room for further amenities. From the moment the first hull had been towed into the Company’s sole shipyard, the process of stripping, renovating and expanding the hull took a little more than four years with the first Aquarius Class Luxury Liner edging out of the Company's same shipyard under its own power in early 2557. The Company’s engineers, and design architects soon realized the standard Aquarius Class Hull while more than accommodating for military purposes had limited what luxury amenities could have been installed.

Instead, the Company’s Engineers and Design Architects with the approval of the Company itself were allowed to keep the standard Aquarius Class Hull with a reduced amount of DCS Light Cargo Containers for use as lifeboats or additional storage while creating a Secondary Hull. The Secondary Hull had been designed to provide both the Passenger Decks, Service Decks, an Auxiliary Bridge if the Primary one were damaged or otherwise inaccessible. The Secondary Hull contained many amenities to provide passengers an enjoyable, and memorable experience. The new design of the Primary Hull consisting of the Aquarius Class Hull and the Secondary Hull containing the passenger decks had allowed the Engineers and Design Architects to create a fairly innovative feature as far as luxury cruise ships went which allowed both hulls to separate, to become in effect their own lifeboats albeit with their own power-plants and other means. The Aquarius Class Hull had been designed to slide into the dorsal section of the Secondary Hull, allowing the Aquarius Class Hull to operate as the Luxury Liner’s command module and control system. When the need arose, if it ever arose, the Aquarius Class Hull and the Secondary Hull could separate allowing each to remain under their own power and to increase the survival chances of both passengers and crew.

Following the completion of the first Hull, work on the second surplus Hull began. Unfortunately, due to the Calabar Company possessing only one shipyard to begin with since the Calabar Company had split from a much larger and now defunct Luxury Liner Company in the year 2540 mostly due to the demands of the War only one Aquarius Class Hull could occupy the lone shipyard at a time. This conversion process on each Hull spanned at first four years, with the work on the second Hull shortened to about three years to be the repeated pattern with each Hull until the final of the six surplus Hulls requiring roughly two years to complete.
