Ok, so I'm working on this covenant sangheili character who's meant to be this small time warlord in charge of this small covenant fleet/faction for this story. What ship class should his flagship be and what should his fleet consist of?

In actual RP battlecruisers and carriers are t5+ and are in command of a serious fleet but I suggest you shoot lower for a destroyer or frigate, or maybe make a low tier ground character. As a resident covie player feel free to ask me any questions. Also make sure to read through the info threads.

I think it's for his own fanfic Prez, but if you're not then I would follow prez's advice since we won't even consider the character if you don't have a lower tier character.

I should have specified, but yes this character is for a fanfic. Trust me I know it's a bad idea to shoot for a high tier.

Well, a flagship is technically the lead ship of a fleet, regardless of the class.

In terms of a 'small-time warlord', a CCS-class battlecruiser would be a good capital ship and its accompanying battle group can handle space and ground combat to make swish-cheeze out of UNSC ships and drop a significant ground forces at a typical session. Big enough for a good battle, small enough for variety. Then you make for experienced opponents and bigger challenges to account for, so it is a good balance along the way. However, this is from a Yappa's canon POV since we don't know the exact sizes and arrangement of Covenant military....yet-hopefully.
Which I imagine are probably much bigger and worked differently in some way.
