Day/Night: Night
Time: 0227 Hours (02:27 AM)
Factions: UNSCN: Office of Naval Intelligence, Insurrectionists: Frontier Cell, & Possibly Kig-Yar Mercenaries and Pirates.

Size: Minimum= 2 PCs | Maximum= > 6 PCs
Backstory:
After the successful Torch and Burn Operation on Planet XVB 2476 (Frontier) and enacting the Cole Protocol, mission designation "Nightmare," ONI Team Alpha-4 had rerouted their efforts back to the ONI Base Maverick which was under the concealment of an abandoned Astronav Observatory to rescue the remaining ONI Staff who were also enacting Cole Protocol. Although some operatives of Alpha-4 sustained a few minor injuries in the encounter with automated defense systems within the Coastal Sea Caves, they pushed towards the ONI Base with the assistance of a Pelican transport.
Little did Alpha-4 know, the automated defense systems that were set by Insurrectionists were purposely intended to keep the Agents occupied long enough so the Insurrectionists of Frontier could break into the vulnerable ONI Base while it was being evacuated upon the alert of a large Covenant invasion of the planet. Unfortunately, the UNSC personnel were overwhelmed by the lack of a security team and those who resisted were executed, but few personnel were able to escape via Pelican Dropships. The ruthless Insurrectionists took only two hostages who were found in a server room: one was ONI Section I Agent Christopher Hyde. The other, was an ONI Section I Scientist who had valuable data stored in his passcode secured TACPAD.
When the Alpha-4 had arrived to ONI Base Maverick, there were clear evidence that the facility was compromised as the complex was riddled with both Insurrectionist and ONI bodies. The team had split to round up any survivors, but none were to be found. With the time constraints of the invading Covenant force, Alpha-4 swiftly set their remaining explosives on structural supports and C7 Sprayed all electronics to demolish the entire base and successful completed executing Cole Protocol. Most easily accessible data were destroyed and the building caved in to prevent easy accessibility of the ONI Base and Alpha-4 evacuated from Frontier via Pelican.
The Insurrectionists had escaped the Planet with a smuggling freighter while the UNSC forces were distracted by the battle in space and on ground with the Covenant, but before the ONI hostages' abduction, Agent Hyde was able to swallow a small distress beacon the size of a golf ball which allowed ONI to track their movements and the other ONI Agent was able to send a secure message to ONI High Command about their condition and abduction by Insurrectionists.
With both Agent's quick and decisive action, ONI was able to plan a high-risk, Black Ops rescue mission as both hostages were highly valuable and top priority for the security of the UNSC.
Plot:
ONI had planned a high risk rescue operation for the two captured ONI Agents. The initial plan was to have a small team of highly trained ONI Operatives to board the Insurrectionist freighter, but that idea was scrapped since any wrong moves would risk the execution of the hostages.
On the other hand, a lone Section III Field Agent had stepped up to the plate and requested a meeting with Top Brass, but the request was denied. Fortunately, the Field Agent had a good reputation with his commanding officers that they had forwarded his ideas to HIGHCOM. It took roughly two days before the plan was approved and the Agent who proposed the plan was chosen to execute the plan.
The official plan was to have Field Agent PO1. Richard Chen and another Field Agent to go undercover and pose as "dealers" in order trade the hostages for smuggled weaponry from the UNSC with nuclear-capable weapons. Unknown to the Insurrectionists will be the fact that the nuclear weapons are dummies, but the weapons are the real deal.
If the primary plan were to go South, another plan involved one of the Agents to be a distraction while the other infiltrated the ship to locate the hostages and extract them.
But if the backup plan failed, the most dangerous backup plan would be executed. The Agents will be captured as additional hostages by the Insurrectionists. Eventually, the Agents would be able to escape with their skills and secure the ship. If only it were so easy...
On the other hand, the ONI Agents will not expect the Insurrectionists to already have Kig-Yar Mercenaries and Pirates aboard the ship. Will they be an obstacle and compromise the extraction of the hostages, or can the Kig-Yar be persuaded to turn against the Insurrectionists through ONI's distasteful lies that seem so true, yet totally false.
The primary Area of Operations will be conducted mostly aboard the Insurrectionists' freighter.
