To satisfy my curiousity, I thought i'd go ahead and ask this question:
I know the AV-22 Sparrowhawk is a UNSC Marine Corps Vtol craft, and I figure it would be found on a ship (guessing cruisers and carriers), so my question is: how does it get transported to the "ground"?
Does it fly there itself or does a dropship bring it into the atmosphere and release it there?
*Just curious about that after reading the vehicle thread*

The AV-22 is an atmospheric craft, so it's logical it's brought down the same way the rest of them are.
IT's likely ferried from ship to surface in an Albatross or Pod; as they're both big enough to carry a SparrowHawk - but the Albatross can only carry one at a time.

I believe it'd be transported planetside via shuttle, or offloaded from a frigate in the atmosphere. I don't believe that the Sparrowhawk would survive the journey on it's own.
I may be wrong, though.

Paris Class Frigates are commanded by Lieutenant Commanders or Commanders.
Venom Class Destroyers are commanded by Commanders or Captains. Greyhound Class Destroyers are commanded by Commanders or Captains. Centaurus Class Destroyers are commanded by Commanders or Captains.
Here's my question: if commmanders and captians are tier 5, does that mean those ships are tier 5?

Odd. Last I check Lieutenant Commander was Tier 3, not Tier 4. My Lieutenant Commander Zachary didn't require a sponsor because of that...does this mean I have to get his profile re-approved, or am I protected by the grandfather clause?
Probably the wrong place to ask this, anyway. xD
But yeah, I'd say so, Doit.

It puzzled me since when I was last here the tiers showed what ships you could use. So I was a bit confused.

The relative ship tiers are at the bottom of the original post for the Character Creation Template.

You already made him before we made the changes to the Tier structure. So, no.

How many missiles from and IFV would it take to destroy a wraith?
Also would 1 shot from a wraiths primary weapon be able to take out an IFV? An LAV?
Would a shot from a Type-33 Light Anti-Armor Rocket Weapon take them both out?

I might make one cause it's a really cool read Awe I believe 2 -3 missiles from the IFV would kill it.

Canonically a wraith can take out a Scorpion in one hit since we're basing our realism off the novels. It completely vaporized Warthogs in Halo: The Flood - so it could do some serious damage to a light armored or armored vehicle like the IFV or Scorpion.

That leads me to my next question (wanting to be accurate with rp sample re-write), how many shots from a scorpion or grizzly would it take to take out a wraith?
How many shots from a wraith to take out a grizzly?

So many questions. lol
Canonically it only takes one round from a Scorpion, so it would be less for a Grizzly which fires a higher caliber round. However, rounds tend to bounce and the Wraith has a very smooth and angled surface. It depends on where it hits and how it hits. If you fired at the wraiths side and hit it in the middle you're probably going to get a kill.
