(OOC: Just a little thread for @prezident and I to rp our samurai lizards. As for a plot...not sure yet really. So, it shall be one of those random threads to develop our characters. If you have a Covenant character, you are free to join us.))
Spec Ops Ultra
Llau 'Il 'Medomai
Her active camouflage deactivated as the last of the humans her creche eradicated screamed in agony as she sunk her energy sword through him, while she grasped her free hand around his neck to hold him still, after she had approached the frightened human being. She soon deactivated her sword when the heretic went limp, and then she carefully dropped him to the ground. The humans may be her enemy, but she didn't think being careless around the dead was a good thing. She respected her enemy, but she also didn't believe they were - something she has kept to herself since she was a child. She straightened up to her full 8'4" height, keeping her sword in her right hand, while she gazed around at the human corpses, while the other members of her creche walked around the sacred site of the Forerunners. There were other creches there as well, waiting around, relieved that the battle to protect the Forerunner site from the humans who desecrated it with their footsteps. Desecrated...were the humans really doing such a thing, or was that...she shut her eyes tightly, shaking her head a little. Hmm. To her, it seemed that they were treating it respectfully, but she knew it was just her, and probably no one else here thought the same way. It pained her to not be able to talk to another of her brothers and sisters of the Covenant about these questions, but she valued her life over her own beliefs...her questions. Perhaps some also thought the same way, but were too afraid to speak up. Everyone knew what happens to those who speak out against the Prophets and their ideals of this...'Great Journey' that they've promised them about.
She let out a sigh, gazing down intently at the last human she slaughtered, laying at her feet. She lost many brothers and sisters to them, but she didn't hate them. They were protecting themselves, and this was war. They were warriors on a battlefield, fighting each other until one of them is left standing. The humans were losing, but, they continued to fight despite the odds. 'Medomai admired their resolve; their will to keep fighting. She respected them. In the end, they were children of war, and nothing more. She soon went over a fallen brother's side and knelt, and took the time to mourn quietly for the loss, and for those around her - enemy and allies, alike.
"Go now, brother," she whispered, "You have fought well and with honor. May your soul now be at peace."
