The planet Final Frontier was assaulted by the Covenant, and the UNSC Frigate Pierce the Stars was severely damaged during the attack. The Captain initiated Cole Protocol and set for random coordinates away from the human colonies, landing in uncharted space. The Covenant did not hesitate to follow the humans, and before long, a multitude of Covenant ships engaged Pierce the Stars over an unknown planet. Shortly before the destruction of the Frigate, multiple Pelicans and ODST Troopers successfully touched down on the planet. Due to their location, their distress call could not be heard for they were out of range, but, scans showed a large structure among the planet that seemed to amplify signals. A small UNSC outpost that consisted of most of the survivors, if not all, sent for a small team to take the structure, amplify the distress signal, and then retreat. One Pelican consisting of two fireteams were sent, but the pelican was intercepted by Banshees and Phantoms. The UNSC Dropship was critically hit and attempted to land near the structure but it's damage was too great and it crashed. All but the pilot successfully survived and quickly began to recon the area, set up a meager defensive position, and attempt to amplify their distress beacon. This was also seen by the Covenant, and the nearest troops were sent to eliminate the humans.

Inside Makeshift Outpost
Getting Situated

Everything happened so fast. Cho along with 8 other soldiers barely made it out alive in the crashed pelican. They found a weird two story structure and made a makeshift outpost in it. Cho assessed the situation at hand. 8 Marines and 1 ODST. That was their whole fighting force as of know. Their weapons situation wasn't much better, 1 1/2 crates of assorted ammuntions for Assualt Rifles/Battle Rifles/DMR/Sniper ammo, 1 crate of M6 Magnum ammo, 1 small crate of grenades, and only 1 rocket launcher with 4 extra rockets, there was also a stationary gun set on the second floor. The situation was dire, there wasn't too much food and water for everybody, there is only so much room in a pelican and some of it was lost in the crash.

Cho took a look at the other soldiers, they all seemed to be in one piece. Cho had to make a decision on what his fireteam was going to do along with the other 5 soldiers.

Cho ordered, "Joey man the stationary gun shoot anything that isn't UNSC, Bear grab that rocket launcher and keep a lookout for Covenant vehicles, Mute you are the best shot among us grab a DMR/Sniper Rifle and be prepared to pick off those Covie bastards.

All 3 of them were quick to their stations with Joey on the stationary gun, Mute scanning the area in front of them with a DMR and Bear on the second floor with Joey Rocket Launcher at ready. Cho believed that he did the best he could do with the situation in front of him. Cho grabbed his Battle Rifle along with a couple extra clips and step out towards the sandbags and scanned the horizon for Covenant.

Zelia Shangzullee patrolled through the Phantom, looking at his Lance as he did. He stopped and walked to the Pilot's location hoping to determine how to complete his mission. As Zelia peered through the cameras that saw the outside of the dropship a two story building came within sight. This building is not human made, Zelia thought to himself, so why are the heretics defending it? Upon the dropship moving closer, Zelia saw a stationary human weapon.

"Pilot", said Zelia, "land us near the entrance of the building, behind those portable shields. Stay for a while and fire at the humans whom are on the top of the structure. With that weapon active, there is no chance that the Lance will be able to push through!"

The pilot responded, "Yes commander."

As the drop-ship descended, it took small arms fire by the hostiles on the building, and the Phantom fired back. Zelia did not hesitate to watch the battle, for he was not one whom finds joy in others leading in the fight. He turned around and began to make way to the exit of the vehicle.

"Warriors, prepare for combat! Maintain a defensive position until the humans on the top of the building are either dead or retreating. Kig-Yar, you will lead the charge into the first story while the rest of us assist in suppressing the top. Good luck in battle!", exclaimed Zelia as he left the aircraft.

Jax sat patienlty within the Covenant dropship, scanning the others within his Lance. He was eager to enter combat for it was quite some time since his previous engagement. Jax turned to see Zen attempting to make small talk with Mad, though it was ineffective. Suddenly, Jax's favorite Sangheili of all time, Zelia, stopped his pacing and quickly moved to the pilot's location on the ship. They spoke for a short while and Jax could hear the hum of the ship mellow and the fire of hostile and ally forces weapon's alike. 

"Warriors, prepare for combat! Maintain a defensive position until the humans on the top of the building are either dead or retreating. Kig-Yar, you will lead the charge into the first story while the rest of us assist in suppressing the top. Good luck in battle!", exclaimed Zelia as he eagerly exited the ship.

Jax quickly got up and motioned for file to follow. He did not check to see if they did so, but he trusted them enough. Jax waited as the other file in his Lance, a Sangheili Minor and 3 Unggoy followed Zelia. When Jax touched on the ground hostile weapons were firing from all around and he saw the dropship he just exited fire on the human position. Jax quickly moved to where the rest of the lance was moving and attempted to block shots that were about to intercept allies.
