2526: Kevarus, Son of Buratus, Grandson of Fenarious the First, nephew of Fraktus and Garatus is born.
2528: Karonus, Son of Lucius and Fyra, cousin of Garatus is born.
2532: Garatus meets a female Jiralhanae named Jornarus, they wed and conceive a child, Fenarious the Second.
2534: Garatus's Father, the Chieftain Fenarious the First is slain in battle against Garatus's Eldest brother Buratus in traditional combat for the title of Chieftain. Garatus's older brother Fraktus(younger brother of Buratus) seizes power and kills Buratus.
Garatus is taken to safety by Buratus's Loyalists, along with his younger cousin Karonus, and his nephew Kevarus(Buratus's Son and heir.)
2535: Garatus is trained relentlessly by Buratus's Loyalists to be a weapon they can use against Fraktus. Garatus also raises his Cousin and Nephew like Brothers, both of whom are Orphans.
2536: Karonus is captured by Fraktus's Jiralhanae, Garatus urges Buratus's Loyalists to strike. Garatus and Buratus's Loyalists storm Fraktus's Keep, Garatus faces Fraktus in personal Combat and is the Victor. Garatus gains his first title, "Restorer of Tribes". Garatus enlists in the Covenant Army as he does not feel safe amongst Kevarus's people(though Kevarus loved Garatus as a brother), he chose to leave and take his young family with him for peace of mind.
2537: Garatus is promoted to Major.
2538: Garatus and Jornarus have a second Son, Rotonus.
2539: Garatus and Jornarus have their first and only Daughter, Jasenus.
2542: Garatus and Jornarus have a third Son, Gitadus. Garatus is promoted to Ultra.
2545: Garatus is promoted to Captain, and leads a successful ambush on a small number of ONI Agents. While Garatus did attack and kill the majority of them, he was recorded doing so and framed by ONI to have allegedly killed and devoured the ONI Agent known as Sage, in front of her fiance and fellow ONI Agent Mike Moretti who was brainwashed with this falsehood. The actual ambush and slaughter are interrupted by the Demons of GOLD TEAM. Garatus gains the title "Slayer of Shadowed Imps".
I'm Sure they will be friendly...: Garatus meets the T'vaoan Captain Nek Dal and the Ibie'Shan Security Officer Kex.
2547:
M5: Garatus is shipwrecked on an accursed Jungle planet along with the rest of his Covenant brethren. He serves admirably, killing several Marines and taking one captive. Attempts to rescue captured Kig-yar using a Marine as a hostage, unsuccessfully.
The Human Captive is shot by one of its own allies, Garatus enters battle against the Humans at the crash site of one of their Pelicans. Kig-yar attempt to aid the Humans and Garatus defends himself. Humans escape and an unnamed Chieftain dies alongside Garatus. Was aided by the Fleet Security Commando Officer he knew only as "'Kasamee".
The Hunt: Garatus went on the Hunt, along with several of his Superior Officers and Subordinates. It was a glorious Hunt, and helped him familiarize himself with his Fellow Warriors.
Isolated: Garatus was deployed on a Human controlled planet dominated by Tundras and massive polar regions. He worked closely with his friend Cad, a Kig-yar.
Garatus and Cad explored two department stores together, and at one point a pair of ODSTs attacked Cad while Garatus was searching a different section of the store. When Garatus realized what was happening, he went berserk and charged the ODSTs, flinging metal shelves out of his way and towards them.
Garatus fortified the department store and and later set it ablaze. Later on, most of the Human city was on fire, and Garatus had assumed it was his doing. Apparently, another Jiralhanae, a Stalker, had set another building on fire which had initiated the blaze(though Garatus's fire also took hold of its own part of the city before the two fires joined and spread even more.)
M6: Garatus was deployed on a Tropical Swamp Planet, and escaped death from a crashed Phantom, quickly springing into action. His first action when he realized that all of the Electronic equipment of the Covenant and Humans was out, was to start a miniature logging operation.
He and his Pack were recalled to the "Artifact", a Forerunner device that had EMP properties. They carried with them the spears and simplistic catapult pieces they had made.
After getting permission from the Field Master Til 'Muramai, Garatus set up his Catapults as defenses for the Artifact. Soon after, however, a flood hit which unleashed a great amount of water and dangerous Fauna native to the planet.
The Chieftain at the time took advantage of this natural disaster, forming a rebellion against the Sangheili and their allies, planning to slaughter them all and take credit for the victory to be and make the Sangheili look to be fools.
Garatus was loyal to the Field Master Til, and declared himself and his Pack allies of the Sangheili, as Garatus thought the Rebellion was stupid. When Garatus rallied his Pack and was about to move out to attack the Rebels, the Humans bombed the Artifact, sending a massive shockwave out towards Garatus and his Pack.
Unfortunately for Garatus, he was the closest to the shockwave when the blast force reached them. He was thrown through a low billboard and landed on a small car. He fractured his arm and received a large gash running above his right eyebrow down to under his left cheekbone.
After receiving minor medical treatment(a splint and a salve) Garatus went on and helped to quell the Rebellion along with his Pack brothers and fellow Covenant Warriors.
At the culmination of the Mission, Garatus and his Pack fought bravely and engaged the Humans. The battle was short and well fought on both sides. For his loyalty and service, Garatus was promoted to Chieftain.
Covenant Intermission: Garatus celebrates his soon to be enacted promotion, going to a Jiralhanae Tavern to drink with his Uncle Eugenius and his Cousin Karonus. Early into the revelry, a stranger appears, along with a seeming gang of minions. The Strangers turn out to be Assassins who attempt to kill Garatus before he can become Chieftain, but with the aid of the Tavern Patrons, his Kinsmen, and the subordinates of Captain Valerius. Garatus is victorious and becomes "Garatus the Deathless".
Ill Fated: Garatus faces a Spartan in battle, and emerges Victorious, having burnt the upper left half of the Demons body. Garatus gains the title "Burner of Demons".
Unit Mission 1: Garatus's first deployment as a Chieftain. He and his Pack were sent to aid in quelling a Sangheili Rebellion, which Garatus relished after hearing of how these Heretics slaughtered their Jiralhanae allies and their entire Rebellion was based around hatred for his Species.
Garatus routed the Heretic's Ghosts, engaging them in battle on foot with his Gravity Hammer, while his Choppers mixed in with the Ghosts and the Prowlers made a defensive circle around the other Warriors on foot who fired from their cover.
After sending the Ghosts into retreat, Garatus marched his Pack towards a small valley, an obvious trap. Garatus planned to have his Choppers and Prowlers make a pincer move, but was rerouted by his Commanders to engage the amassed Heretic Army.
Garatus lead a charge directly into the front of the Heretic Army, Garatus himself being the tip of a spearhead formation. He ordered his Choppers and Prowlers to harass and assault the right and left flanks of the Heretic Army, placing his cousin Karonus in charge of a group of Choppers.
While Garatus fought on foot, he was cut off from the rest of his force and left to fend for himself in the midst of a sea of enemies. However, Karonus lead a daring charge through the side of the Heretic Army and cut a bloody swath through them, making enough of a distraction that Garatus could push his way back to where his own Jiralhanae ravaged the Sangheili.
The other Covenant forces engaged the back of the Heretic Army, the Covenant forces fully encircling the Heretics. Garatus's Pack pushed forward into the front of the Army while the Covenant Loyal Sangheili pushed into the back, with Garatus's vehicular forces harassed the sides of the Heretic force preventing escape. Garatus personally moved to clear a path for the Mgalekgolo who were to besiege the Heretic Fortress.
The battle was won with a distinctive Superiority in the Covenant's victory. Meanwhile in supposedly Sangheili patrolled space, Garatus's mate, Jornarus, was captured on the edges of Jiralhanae space. She was captured by ONI(a certain Agent named Taylor, AKA The Red Dragon) and tortured for days. A video recording of the torture session was left onboard as a way to later Torment Garatus.
The Great Tragedy: When Garatus went to return to Doisac for a short holiday, he was informed of the distress signal coming from the ship Jornarus was on, and he frantically searched for a vessel to charter to take him to the source of the distress signal.
He contacted his friend Nek Dal, who speedily took him to the ship. Garatus paid a large sum of Gekz of his own volition to speed things up and to compensate for Nek's lost time. Garatus declared salvage rights on the vessel and outsourced the salvage operation to Nek Dal. Garatus had no interest in the salvage rights, but knew Nek Dal would likely come under fire if he himself declared the salvage rights due to the Sangheili discriminating against the other Covenant Species.
The life support was still on when they found the vessel adrift, but it was otherwise dead. They quickly boarded the vessel and Garatus's keen sense of smell lead them to the room Jornarus had been held in. When the doors opened and Garatus saw her he let out a bloodcurdling scream and rushed to her with a speed beyond reckoning.
He carried her back to the Speed Streak(Nek Dal's ship), and laid her to rest in a cryo tube for the journey to Doisac. He built a Howe by himself to bury her in, each stone and brick placed with a sorrowful love.
He carried her into the Howe and placed her in a Sarcophagus plated in gold with veins of silver running down it's length, dotted with rubies and emeralds. He stood vigil for a week by himself, silent, still, and awake. He had a cairn raised atop the Howe and Jornarus's favorite kind of tree planted at it's highest point.
M7: Not three months had passed since the death and subsequent burial of Jornarus. Garatus returns to the System where he declared his Loyalty to the Sangheili, but after the capture and death of his mate in Sangheili patrolled space, his loyalty is lessened and his ferocity has grown.
He is given command over the Covenant Army on the ground, being the first recorded Jiralhanae to be given official command over a large Sangheili force. Garatus ordered the capture of a Human Airfield and lead the attack on the automated defenses.
After the defenses were destroyed, the Army was gathered and prepared to take the vehicular lifts of the Airfield down to the tunnels below to gain entry to the shielded Domes of the planet. At the same time, Kig-yar, Unggoy, and Yanme'e were taking a staircase down to the tunnels. Unexpectedly an Earthquake hit, partially collapsing the staircase and trapping those on the lifts underground.
In Garatus's Pack, a Creche of Jiralhanae were the fierce Warriors of the Ragnus Tribe. Unknown to Garatus, the Ragnus Tribe was named for a Fire God they thought they had discovered back before the First Immolation on a distant world from Doisac(possibly the planet Garatus was currently on), and worshiped the Fire God Ragnus(for whom they named their Tribe) in secret.
The Ragnus Tribe took the Earthquake as a sign and began attacking their fellow Covenant Warriors. Garatus fought their Leader, the Captain of the Ragnus Creche, and was about to defeat him when Cad(a Kig-yar and best friend of Garatus) fired upon the Ragnus Captain with his Needler. The Ragnus Captain fell into an opening in the earth made by the Earthquake, landing on exposed rebar and exploding in a plume of pink mist from the Needler crystals.
Garatus proceeded to use heavy Jiralhanae Chain to pull up his fellow Covenant Warriors after the Locusts had seared holes through the rock to reach them. Once the Field Marshal Til 'Muramai was retrieved from the underground, Garatus informed him of the current state of the Army, and the Heresy of the Ragnus Tribe, who Garatus swore to personally eradicate from Doisac. After the slaughter of the present Ragnus Heretics, Garatus gained the title "Butcher".
When Garatus was deliberating with the other Covenant leaders present, he was saddened deeply for one of his comrades when they were denied leave to search for their child, a missing Covenant soldier last known to be in the company of Humans. Garatus then witnessed the near disobedience of the T'vaoan Champion Kael Gel when she looked as if she was going to draw her weapon and fire upon their commander(which she refrained from), who very nearly started a violent altercation. Garatus however, even though sympathetic to Kael's predicament, was fully prepared to put her down to protect the Field Marshal Til 'Muramai.
After the collapse of the domes, Garatus lead the assault on the city resulting in hundreds of casualties, making way for the invasion of the rest of the Covenant forces. Into battle he bore a mantle of severed Ragnus heads, taken from the fallen(donated to him by his own doing, and his Cousins Cicerus and Karonus).
2548:
Regretful Return to Eayn: Garatus contacts the T'vaoan Champion Kael Gel to reconcile with her, pledging to aid her in the search for her missing Son Roh Gel.
Shadows in the Light: Garatus's first born Son and heir Fenarious II joins the Covenant Army and Garatus's Pack at the age of sixteen as a Minor. Garatus officiates this with an age old Oath of the Bloodstone Tribe.
Brotherhood: Garatus advises his Cousin Karonus about seeking a mate and starting a family.
Catch and Release: Garatus picks up a distress signal which turns out to be Roh Gel and his companions Eal and Talz. Garatus rescues them and returns them to Kael Gel after a long journey.
The Bloodline Flows Ever On: Garatus's first born Son Fenarious II enters a marital union and conceives a child, a son named Kronat(Kronatus upon reaching adulthood).
2549:
