Guild Wars 2 RP (Interest check)

Dunno how much interest there will be in this but here goes.

Been playing GW2 a lot recently, got a few level 80 characters, and have done some RP in world that was fun but thought that it could also be fun in just text with perhaps more locations and characters. I never played the first Guild Wars or any of its expansions as I got into it first with #2 the MMO.

As such all the stuff I know about the timeline is info from the books/wiki/research but I think we could still make it interesting if theres any interest in the universe or this thread.

Some possible races, but more could be open if you wished (Like Skritt or Quaggan);

Some possible professions; (Keep in mind you likely wouldn't start as a master Mesmer for example, but looking at what each class does could give you ideas.)

For possible timelines we could pick a lot of things;
* A possibility could be during the Human/Charr war, lots of mileage to be had there.
* We could go with the timeline of GW2, where Orr has risen along with Zhaitan (The third Elder Dragon to awaken) and the races of Tyria are all being affected by his massive undead army and are trying to get together a plan to fight them.
* While I know the second time frame the best you could suggest your own, I would be happy to hear it .


Again, dunno how many of you are fans but I think this could be fun. Interested to hear what you guys think.

I would be interested. I've played primarily the first game and all its expansions and still working to finish that.

I never played the first game unfortunately, but love the crap out of GW2 - but cool to know that you would wish to join


Would you prefer to wait for maybe another person to join up Seraph or want to just start and let people join later?

Also do you have a time period preference for the RP? :>

Ah man, if you ever get the opportunity you could pick up the Anthology edition with all of the expansions. Game play is a little bit dated, but there is a lot of rich experience still there.

As for starts I wouldn't mind waiting a little for another person. "It's a little more comfortable with a couple people. Although since the thread has been sitting around a while we could start plans for what we ought to do.

EDIT: Oh. As for posting times I'm usually home in the afternoon EST. Depends if work was tiring or not. I would like to get myself back into a good posting regimen, I'm pretty rusty.

I was tempted to but I would think that after playing GW2 a bunch I wouldn't necessarily enjoy #1. Perhaps sometime though.

I meant timeline for the RP Seraph XD, not the times you could post; like the Human-Charr War, or the GW2 timeline, or another one if you had an idear.

I wouldn't mind either really. GW2 time period would be neat so that I can just pull up weird stuff from before the awakening of the Elder Wyrms. Plus I don't know much about events onward so it would intresting to research. I suppose the same ought to be if we went with the prior for yourself.
