Felicitations, peeps. Due to recent events, I have been increasingly busy and unable to post as often as I'd like. But, my beloved RPG, you have not been far from my thoughts! In fact, many a Calculus or Biology period has been dedicated to pointless doodlings of various site related pictures.
And thus, I present:

THE KART GALLERY
(haha you've definitely never heard that pun before)
(haha you've definitely never heard that pun before)
Eventually, I shall put these in some semblance of order, but for now, I operate by the maxim "order is for squares, bitches."
Let us begin!
Let us begin!
First up is a sketch of my UNSC Combat Camera Operator, Pvt. Evo Aguellez. As you can see, I did fuck-all research when it came to what UNSC armor is supposed to look like. The Magnum he's carrying looks vaguely Magnum-esque, but the rest of his equipment is entirely made up and has messed up perspectives, to boot. Even worse, his eyes are too big. Too...anime. Eh. It's a sketch.

Dear lord, this one was a headache from start to finish. When I first got the idea to draw an ODST, I had completely forgotten that I didn't know what ODST armor looked like. Hence the fact that everything is oversimplified and entirely divorced from canon. I know her hair is way past regulation length, but since I decided that canon was a lost cause I just said "fuck it" and gave her long hair, green eyes, and a breast bulge because hey, hot chicks with guns.
Oh my god, that Battle Rifle does not even remotely look like a Battle Rifle, now that I think about it. And there's another, even more glaring mistake that I won't point out because if I did, it would ruin the picture. That is, if my attempt to color it in Photoshop didn't already ruin it. Ignore the white spots. They aren't there.
Moving on...
Yaar! Here's everybody's favorite Field Marshal, Til 'Muramai (at least, he's supposed to be). I don't know why I did this to myself, but I did. Human faces are hard enough, but a scarred Sangheili's face? Agony. Pure agony. Then I decided to give him some fancy "perspective" with his left arm. I regret that. Seriously. Like the Prophet.
I may color this one later on. Maybe. (no)
Aah, here we have a classic wrench wench. She's here because she's meant to be UNSC (actually, I just wanted to try drawing a girl with a jacket around her waist). I tried a bit of cell-shading with this one, and I think it worked out well. The two-tone shading was pretty easy, and I'm thinking of trying for three or four-tone cell shading with the next picture. Hell, I might even go back and redo this one.
I do like the proportions of her body, and I think I did well with her limbs, at least. Faces are of course my weakest link, but I make do.
Quick sketch. The chap in front with the spear is my character, Legra 'Adantai, the bloke on top of the gigantic lizard moonbeast is Til 'Muramai, and the shadowy gent leaping onto the scene from the side is meant to be Sorsa 'Xirsasai. I had a hell of a time trying to learn Sangheili proportions and body mechanics, and I haven't entirely succeeded. As a whole, I'm treating this sketch as a learning experience, since the end product is sucky. I am, however, quite proud of the broken moon floating behind Til--it was new effect that I'm glad worked out.
I'll add the rest some other time. In the meantime...

REQUEST FORMS!
(yeehaw)
(yeehaw)
Character Drawing
Keep in mind that a picture is no substitute for a good description. A picture may tell a thousand words, but profiles aren't just judged based on word count.
Requirements
- Your character must have a completed, approved profile. No sense in making a drawing for a character whose physical appearance may later be changed.
- Your character must have a description besides a picture. I'll be using that to make the actual drawing. If there are other details, I will ask you about them, or you can add them into the description itself.
Picture
- PM me with a request or post it in this thread. It should include a link to your character's profile and a description of any specific background/scenery you want in the picture. Keep in mind, if you ask for a background, it will take more time.
- Decide whether or not you want color. I'm probably going to work with two-tone cell shading, so it will look something like the "Wrench Wench" picture above if you do have it colored. It will take longer if you ask for that. If you don't, I will go with line art, so it'll look something like "Til."
- I will put an itty bitty signature at the bottom, saying something like "made by Kart, requested by [you]."
Avatar
If you want, I'll draw a picture of whatever you like for your avatar. Keep in mind that avatar pictures will be smaller and are probably only going to be useful for their intended purpose.
Requirements
- If you want me to draw you as your avatar, then I'll need a picture of you or a physical description at least five sentences long.
- If you want me to draw a random object or character, gimme the same five-sentence description
- I am also Photoshop savvy--if you want me to edit a pre-existing picture, or add swooshy text or something, I'll do it.
Procedure
- Post or PM with the requirements. If you're sending me a picture of yourself, please do it by PM, so that way other people don't see it and realize how bad I am at drawing faces to look like people. And believe you me, I am bad.
- Any avatar pictures will be in color, simply because I think it's silly to have black-and-white avatars. If you want a black and white avatar, too bad.
- The finished product will have no signature and no "requested by" since it'll be an avatar. I will post a larger version with the signature and "requested by" in this thread so I can show off.
Whatever
I'll draw whatever because I can. Five sentence description at minimum, yadda yadda. Same procedure as the rest.
List of Requests
(requests will be finished when they are finished. Do not nag me about them, I am not getting paid. If the list is full, then don't bother posting because I probably have enough on my plate)
