So, clearly, Mission 7 isn't really that active since it started. It's a little confusing at first, but more importantly, it's boring, dull...it's like ordering a burger, but all you get is a plain one without any of the stuff that makes it better.
What do you guys want to see happen that you think would make it interesting, and would hopefully make the thread more active? Would you want to have to deal with some kind of hazard while fighting against the enemy? Or whatever else you think would be cool. It's up to the member base to make it interesting, not just the staff team. So, lets hear what you guys think, and the best ones can be implemented into the mission.

I say we either bring in some airborne Leviathans or a sandstorm that forces EVERYONE inside. Like Specs Ops the Line style, where it can kill people who are outside.

I don't like either of those ideas as everyone is almost inside. It would just give a huge advantage to the UNSC, since all the Covenant forces are outside. It would also hurt my Pilot.
In my opinion it would be awesome if a Huragok discovered how to destroy the domes, tells the Sangheili and they just obliterate the domes forcing the UNSC to not hide inside and fight for the hardest they ever fought. Or WHILE a sandstorm is happening, to keep both sides on it's toes.

Well it's not always fun just because it's fair. The best times to RP is when it's unfair. But I respect your opinion.

Honestly >.> <.< what would be really cool, is if one of the ships in orbit got destroyed, and because they were in orbit the debris from the ship came crashing down onto the ground.
To make it interesting it could be one of the bigger ships so that when it crashes into the ground, the force of the impact would cause tunnels to break open/ Collapse. Providing more ways in for the covvies and at the same time forcing the UNSC to reorganize and fight for their lives

It'd have to be reeeeally big chunks for them to survive atmosphere. Then again, I believe the planet has low atmosphere. I like it.

Though a destroyed ship raining down chunks would be cool, another idea is maybe some sort of third party threat appears, like the terrorists from M6's ONI mission.

I think that the Mission 07 is going rather well, given the pacing. I'm not really in the mood for changing things up. The UNSC is already at a disadvantage having fought in the same system three consecutive times and the Covenant ships are in orbit meaning that to get to the surface the UNSC has to go through the Covenant ships or around them. It's true that the pacing could be a little quicker, but that's what comes with a SIMMing forum or PbEM in the old days.
I'm not someone that can easily be annoyed, but it seems with the flurry of wanting to change this or that within the time since the mission began, as I've seen in previous times (RL mostly when my gaming group wants to change something for the "better") that it makes it both much more difficult than it should be and the race to add "newer" thinks becomes the order of things rather than the game or chronicle itself. My point, instead of adding a new element to an existing mission why don't we instead think of ways to quicken the pace. Once we start introducing a new tank, or new weapon, or even a new angle, we'll want to add more and more to the mix causing a mission with a lot of potential to become weighed down.
I don't think we should change anything, except find a means to quicken the pace.

I figured since the Covvie ships are in orbit, a series of Mac rounds from a fleet of UNSC ships(>.> u know im looking at you Kill and Dave and Frazer x3) (Dangerous yus, but hey lifeboats mate) could destroy a ship or two, which in turn would crash down to the surface without really burning up. The impact could cause sections of the tunnels to collapse putting both UNSC and Covvies at a Disadvantage/Advantage. Idk it was just an Idea and being able to take the fight to the surface would be nice x3 I dont like tunnels my explosives tend to blow them up.

It's a good idea, Yappa's. I wasn't implying it wasn't, only cautioning against introducing new "toys" in terms of new tanks or weaponry.

I change my mind. While some ideas are cool, we don't need to change it. The Covies already got the advantage with more working and powerful ships along with a massive army along with better tech. The tunnels are going to be a slaughter fest sure but shit happens. People just need to take some shots and make it clear who is shooting who to get it going.

I agree with u there Cabel there's no need for new weapons but a ship exploding in atmos sounds awesomenes, and crashing down on the combat zone would make it perfect

The Covenant doesn't have an advantage at all this mission, we're evenly matched with the UNSC on troops, and the Human fleet is WAAAY bigger than the Covenant fleet. We cant use our vehicles in the tunnels, we cant use our boom boom in the tunnels, and we're going to get slaughtered as we descend the lifts and staircase. BasedGoody let us dissent against our masters.... >:]

The problem I'm having with the mission is I have nearly no idea about what the stakes are for both teams, also don't know where anything is located in relation to anything else(Covies took an airfield, but where's the other one and where are Til and Kael dropping now?) or what's going on it general, sans the Water Plant. It may be my fault for having so many people in the mission but I keep not knowing what's going on. I was at first told the elevators would lead to some tunnels for us to spread out for, nope its a tank pointing right at us. Ok the stairs? Seemingly the same thing. It seems to be right now that the Covies have zero entry points as all the possibilities are being blocked by Human armor or mounds of troops and we have no choice but to try and shove through them.
I'm not sure about a way to get more people posting but if there was more than two entry points; like many some of Kael's T'vaoan could try and run through some tunnels and try to find alternate routs but some Humans are trying to stop them, or we could have some Shadows trying to bring troops across the wastelands in the middle to try and find a way through the domes at ground level - as humans laugh at them from the other side, or the water plant is destroyed so both sides need to change tactics.
Just a few random ideas. The falling sky and rebellions sound interesting as well.

There are maintenance tunnels that run past the hanger into tunnels behind it, but let's just say I left a few "surprises in there.
