I came across a disagreement in threads concerning Covenant shielding, and am now confused on multiple topics. I'll start with my original quesiton. 1) This thread: Covenant Warships and Weapons and this thread: Capital Weapon Power Levels disagree on Covenant shielding strengths. The second thread says that a ship has 9 gigatons of strength per kilometer of ship, whereas that is disregarded entirely in the first thread. Which thread is correct? 2) In the Covenant warships thread, there is only one Covenant frigate listed. Surely there are more classes of frigates, yes? |

Anyone feel free to correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the first one, Covenant Warships and Weapons is either a repaired, revised, or edited version of the original one made by (I think Kart), years ago. That might explain the lack of mentioning things and contradictions between the two. Duffle's thread was made long after the original creation of the first thread.
I am not sure if there was a simple clerical error of Duffle not enacting his changes in every thread his thread concerned, or what. I might have been staff during this time, but I can't remember for the life of me. This might be an explanation of the errors.

I imagine similar, considering few dare to make a Covenant naval character (for obvious reasons), the threads aren't paid much attention compared to the infantry forces. To the point of the matter, we need to revise the Covenant navy here and there. I am sure 'some' people would love to fix it, sadly I can't be that person due to sheer ignorance of the more precise and mathematics of naval science.

Like what Beta said, I have always used the Capital ship power levels thread, which is the second one, to go off Covenant Ship strength. So use the second one for reference when engaging the Covenant. I'll get to work on updating the first thread.

Yeah. It has always been a bit confusing on the Covie side of Space, as Huka said. 4 years ago, when I was first starting out, was the last really strong age of two sided naval roleplay. There was a decent amount of UNSC Space players and a strong little group of Covenant Space players. There has always been a strong group of UNSC role players but the Covenant aspect of it has been left to the wind. It's just always been a bit confusing since that decline.
