This is BOTH a Clan/Nest proposal and a weapon proposal.
These is some of the larger Kig-Yar clans I came up with as well as the signature weapon the clan is known for. But not all Kig-Yar and T'vaoan need to be a part of these clans and if you have a good idea you can even try to propose your own clan and their weapon, but here's the basic template. If your character is a decently ranked member of a clan their last name will be the clan name - but if you are low ranked or not a member of a clan you can have a more personal last name.
* If you wish to make your own clan PM me your idea with this format.
Clan Name: (Self Explanatory but include if they are a Eayn based clan, ship based, or asteroid based.)
Size: (Large, medium, or small.)
Clan Crest: (If they have one, can be a picture if you do desire but a description is fine as well.)
Comprised mainly of?: (T'vaoan or Kig-Yar and if they favor a specific gender. If if a clan is mostly T'vaoan's they will have Kig-Yar as well and vice versa unless they have some very strict joining policies.)
What they did on Eayn in the past: (Essentially the Clans bio.)
Signature weapon: (Should relate to their history, clans created by other members of the forum should have somthing - lesser known Nests/Clans may not have their own weapon.)
What they do now: (In the current age of Covenant and Space Travel.)
How much territory they control now: (Confer with me if you want suggestions.)
Allies: (May be just trading partners or full blown alliances.)
Enemies: (They or you may be encroaching on the other land or it may a Clan war.)
*Clan's I've come up with:
1)
Clan Name: Gel
Size: Large
Clan Crest: Circle border, with a claw and a blade crossed near the ends of both with a T'vaoan skull above looking to the left.
Comprised mainly of?: T'vaoan, female biased
What they did on Eayn in the past: Trained the most fearsome and dangerous warriors and were known to be fans of overkill.
Signature weapon: Wrist blades, foot blades, and any other type of blade that was not held in the hand so another weapon could be held there instead - even bladed beak helmets sometimes. In their free hands they often hold projectile weaponry but they have not many any special type of those, just the other weapons strapped on everywhere.
What they do now: Training some of the best overall warriors is still one of their main clan goals. Their own members get this as their primary education but those outside the Nest have to pay for it. The largest 'university' is located in the heart of Gel's land, and the higher up the years the more 'accidental' deaths occur. Outside of the Gel lands they have also set up smaller schools where you can learn how to fight - but in these smaller locations you learn hand-to-hand, blade, and firearm but not the Gel wrist and foot blade styles as that is reserved for the Gel nest and their main university.
How much territory they control now: Personally a lot but with their recent alliance with Clans Hul and Eox they control much of Eayn's surface.
Allies: Clans Hul and Eox
Enemies: Spice Sisterhood
2)
Clan Name: Sha
Size: Small
Clan Crest: None
Comprised mainly of?: Originally Kig-Yar, but lately have received a decent amount of T'vaoan from Gel who wished for a more peaceful life, no gender bias.
What they did on Eayn in the past: Fished (specifically spear fishing, which slowly developed into their particular martial art), but gradually became Eayn's Monks and developed into a more secluded and quiet society. Their training and very rare scales and bones they get from fishing is what keeps them alive today, and the respect they have from most of the population for their lifestyle.
Signature weapon: Blades, weights, and hooks on the end of ropes and chains. Spun around rapidly before being lashed out to wound, cleave, wrap, and bind.
What they do now: Their secluded lifestyle has remained mostly untouched even with the Covenant presence - clans that respect them helping to fill Sha's quota when needed. Several Kig-Yar from other clans often make pilgrimages to their island to train with them - or in some cases to abandon their old life and begin again as a monk.
How much territory they control now: One large island where they are often found training or fishing.
Allies: None
Enemies: None - though Gel is wary of them for 'taking away' some of their citizens.
3)
Clan Name: Hul
Size: Medium
Clan Crest: Square border, the prow of a ship coming in front the left with a spike on the nose, a star is above this ship.
Comprised mainly of?: T'vaoan, male focused.
What they did on Eayn in the past: Created ships and the ones they made were leagues ahead of any other clan and their secrets were closely guarded. Their tireless work and research however meant they didn't have much time to train fighters or create weapons, so instead they developed smaller weapons that would be able to end a fight fast - or make the end slow to extract information out of the spies they caught.
Signature weapon: Souped up versions of spring loaded punches, used for scoring material before drilling, that have evolved into small hand held cylinders with hypodermic needles and strong hydraulics. One touch is all that's needed for the hydraulics to give an extremely powerful stab or a fast injection of whatever is loaded into the device, the wound depending on the setting.
What they do now: With Covenant ships being the preferred method of travel one would have thought they would be doomed. But Covenant ships are hard to come by with their eyes always watching so Hul's ship yards and factories are still smelting and producing Kig-Yar vessels. They employ several smaller clans to make pieces of ships before they are shipped to their lands for finalization and construction. The vessels they make ranging from flying boxes for cargo, personal ships for Nest Commodores, and all three types of assault Corvettes.
They also take custom jobs to make personalized sailing boats. These are incredibly expensive as they are made by Hul's Master Builders and by hand. These are never out sourced and are made in their main city.
How much territory they control now: Personally several of the best ports and shipping lanes, as well as large shipyards, but with the recent alliance they control a large part of Eayn.
Allies: Clans Gel and Eox.
Enemies: Spice Sisterhood.
4)
Clan Name: Eox
Size: Medium
Clan Crest: Triangle border with the tip pointed up, the muzzle of a cannon coming from the bottom with an explosion above it.
Comprised mainly of?: Kig-Yar, no gender bias
What they did on Eayn in the past: Created Cannons and projectile weaponry, no other Clan could do it better. They were very proud of their explosive knowledge and decided to show the other Nests in a very literal sense and create explosives they would walk around with daily, completely sure they were safe until someone decided to mess with them.
Signature weapon: Special gauntlets that pack an explosive charge that ingites after the safety has been removed and they are punched into a target. All of the energy is directed into the target. Knock offs are common but very dangerous to both the wearer and the target as well as having the chance to maybe go off randomly.
What they do now: As the main producer of Kig-Yar personal weaponry they still do very good business. Nearly all the B, D, and C firearms you see will have come from their factories. Ammunition production is more spread out however as they focus on the physical weapon more. They also work closely with Clan Hul to create the large Impact Cannons to go on star ships.
How much territory they control now: Personally a few islands and factories that sit on many mines, but in their new alliance they control much of Eayn's surface.
Allies: Clan's Gel and Hul
Enemies: Spice Sisterhood
5)
Clan Name: "Spice Sisterhood"
Size: Small
Clan Crest: Circle border, three Flechettes spaced evenly around all pointed to the middle where there is a vial.
Comprised mainly of?: Kig-Yar, nearly all female.
What they did on Eayn in the past: Produced and traded Spice and narcotics across most of Eayn's surface, but were recently nearly wiped out by the Gel Alliance. They are only still afloat now, in a literal and figurative sense, because of the few drug rings they still control, special types of Flechettes they produce for the most discerning customers, and rare venoms and poisons from the deep Eyan seas. They also make really nice herbal tea.
Signature weapon: Very special types of poisons that can cause any range of effects in the recipient. From nearly instant death, to sleep, to blindness, to almost total relaxation. These can be delivered in many ways, through injection, ingestion, Flechettes, or air born.
What they do now: Since they were nearly wiped out they are currently trying to stay alive, but do all the business they can on the side as well as try to pick away at Gel and their alliance.
How much territory they control now: They are mostly based in large watercraft these days as Gel has sent out a general alert across the Eayn system that they are not to be trusted. They also possess a few star craft and fly about seeking customers.
Allies: None
Enemies: Clan Gel and their allies
* Clans created by other people
By CTWDaBearJew
Clan Name: Kha - Small Eayn presence but spread far across the system with individual members.
Size: Small
Clan Crest: (pending)
Comprised mainly of?: Kig-Yar, no gender preference.
What they did on Eayn in the past: Assassination, thievery, and theft - they were on the verge of being destroyed by the other Nests before they hired themselves out to others. With money and their skills they were able to save themselves from destruction.
Signature weapon: Two small metal arms that fold up when not in use, but when unfolded a good size knife is revealed. In the two handles of the item are several tools, the most common of which are lock picks, files, and a small saw ready to be folded out. These are a common sight throughout Eyan as a general use pocket tool with more general items like screwdrivers or data-sticks these days where as Clan multi-tools have more nefarious attachments. Selling these as well as special orders of the tools are the clans main legitimate source of income - the other being the work they do for other clans.
What they do now: They continue their work for other clans as well as offer training in espionage to anyone with some Gekz to spend.
How much territory they control now: Only a small island where their main compound is situated, but members of the Clan are in most of the other Clan's lands.
Allies: Whoever wants to hire them.
Enemies: All the nests at one time or another, but because they help everyone they are essentially protected by all the Nests at the same time.

Clan Name: Iin - Mainly starship based with a few Asteroid bases
Size: Medium
Clan Crest: Circle border, a red avian with six wings (top pair curved upwards, middle stretched wide, and the last curved downward) with three tufted ended feathertails over a golden circle.
Comprised mainly of?: Kig-yar (Unstable Equality)
What they did on Eayn in the past:
The Iin Clan was a prosperous unity that had a respected control and power at the southwestern ports' trading routes that had a hand in both pirate affairs and governmental influence. Their power ended at the rise of space voyages and the rebelling of growing powers.
Formerly originated from the 'continent' of Iina'ot until their fall allowed their ancestral home to be raided, barely giving the population enough time to escape their most prized treasures and enough people to continue the lineage while their defense fleet protected their escape selflessly.
Signature weapon:
The Iin Clan pride themselves as the eyes of the Eayn's seas in their prime and still honor this with the introduction of the Iina Eyes; highly decorated dart pistols of incredible accuracy due to their sabot jacketed darts for their ammunition and a rotating muzzle that fire thrice as much as the standard dart pistol, keeping an advanced step ahead since the olden days. The honor of wielding these deadly pistols belong to the higher Iin clan-members and manages to personally craft their own is apart of their rite to command, fortunately making the Iina Eye a rare sight amongst the Kig-Yar.
What they do now: As they are a fairly wide spread clan what they do depends on which section you go to. Mostly it is just business, with other Kig-Yar and the Sangheili, but all will be on the look-out for raiders as they have a very special hatred for them. They often trade in information as well as goods as they have a close connection to the Sangheili unlike many other nests. Selling of this info to other Kig-Yar or the Sangheili a very profitable business.
How much territory they control now: Their own Starships and a few Asteroid bases
Allies: The Guild (Suf's personal web of contacts), the Muram (trading export and imports of legal and agreed business)
Enemies: Nest Ruf, Clan Olk, Clan Pom, Nest Wes. (Raiders in the early Eayn days that are all now small time Raider clans, except Nest Wes, which have recently vanished with very little trace.)
By BetaWolf
Clan Name: Clan Kel
Size: Medium
Clan Crest: A red axe embedded in the left temple of a yellow forward facing Kig-yar skull on a field of medium blue(handle of the axe points diagonally to the left and skywards.)
Comprised mainly of?: Primarily consisting of male crocodilian Kig-yar(females are less common but serve as the leaders with T'vaoan and common Kig-yar also mixed in as minorities)
What they did on Eayn in the past: Starting out as a shipwrecked fleet(previously of a now extinct Clan) on the previously undiscovered "Claw Islands", a small chain of four island roughly in the shape of three claws and a palm. The living on the cold forested islands was(and still is) harsh and only the strongest survived, forming them into one of the most brutal groups of Kig-yar one could have the displeasure of encountering. They spent several centuries undiscovered, but after five hundred years they were finally found. It took another hundred years for them to become "non-hostile" towards the rest of the world, who they were not fond of.
They were rediscovered back in the days of pirating on the high seas long before the Covenant found their world. They channeled their dislike of other Kig-yar into their now well known work as stealthy mercenaries, scaling the walls with their grappling hooks and splitting skulls with their axes. They commonly took keeps in the night for pay, and are just sneaky with a brutal mentality. Their cold home has made them prone to wearing furs and leather commonly.
Signature weapon: They were in the process of moving a weapons shipment when their fleet was shipwrecked, primarily specialized axes they had just designed along with a small amount of more common weapons. These are broad axes(completely straight edge on the blade) with the edge being diagonal(sticks out more at the top, and less at the bottom). These axes are most commonly seen as one handed, though two handed versions do exist. They also use grappling hooks quite often.
What they do now: They have come to be a feared Clan, not commonly seen but still feared none the less. Fast and brutal is their style, they can accomplish almost anything with cunning force. They are hired to clear bases and vessels quickly and silently, contracted to take areas with good defenses without the targets knowing what hit them until it is too late.
They are somewhat misplaced in the modern world, not being very projectile weapon savvy. They depend on the element of surprise and only have average or poor skill with firearms, being reliant on their superior melee skills which can be a disadvantage in the open field.
How much territory they control now: Four large islands called the Claw Islands, roughly in the shape of a Kig-yar hand.
Allies: Is decently friendly towards Kha.
Enemies: None currently.

Clan Name: Pek, Based on Eayn but expanding to asteroids
Size: Small
Clan Crest: A shield with crossed feathers
Comprised mainly of?: Mainly T’vaoan, no gender preference
What they did on Eayn in the past: Back in ancient times they were actually part of the Gel clan. However when they utterly butchered and almost annihilated a clan whose name was lost in time it caused some of the leaders to stop and think. Motivated by the sheer heartlessness and brutality of the war they realized they wanted a more honorable way of life and conducting battle. They broke away from Gel clan on their own terms and thus Pek clan was born. They were one of the founders the gladiatorial games and put out well known gladiators and fighters. Some of the best warriors came from Pek clan and gained a reputation of having some of the best close combat fighters. When the Covenant came with the promise of glorious battles many of them joined.
Signature weapon: Due to much of their history being dominated by their prowess in the gladiatorial arenas, their signature weapon is a metal double edged sword. Though they use a variety of blades many were long swords resembling Roman Spathas. Many have been passed down through the generations bearing the names of their previous owners. Some hang on the walls until one is deemed worthy to wield it while many simply circulate through the clan.
What they do now: In today’s age many members of the Pek clan serve the Covenant as soldiers, over filling the quota they send them. Many of them don’t believe in their holy crusade and have no real quarrel with the enemy but they relish the chance to fight. As the glory of the gladiator arenas wane, so does their influence. Those that haven’t joined the Covenant now seek employment as fighters, boarders, and bodyguards.
How much territory they control now: They hold a small bit of land on Eayn centered around an ancient palace but with their influence waning they look to the asteroids to find more land.
Allies: Those deemed worthy in combat or honest in trade. Though they separated long ago, they are still on somewhat friendly terms with Gel clan.
Enemies: Cowards who break their word. One of these being the Spice Sisterhood for their poisons has been used on many gladiators. They are also hold a grudge against Kha clan for one of their assassins killed Usma the Predator, gladiator champion of her time, in her sleep.

Clan Name: Clan Koi
Size: Large (Originally) Tiny (Currently)
Clan Crest: Two crossed scimitars in front of a bloodied T'vaoan skull, with a fiery background. Originally a symbol of fear, the intimidating Crest fell with the Clan. The surviving Cell carries a remnant of the Crest, as a way to remember their history.
Comprised mainly of?: The Clan was originally all T'vaoan, strictly keeping Kig-Yar out. It was Male dominated initially, but after the destruction of the clan, the Cell that did survive is now more equal in Male and Female members. The Cell is currently 8 members healthy.
What they did on Eayn in the past: The Clan originated on Eayn but quickly migrated towards the asteroid belt, inhabiting a cluster of asteroids, consisting of 5 large asteroids. After raiding Gel numerous times, along with countless other clans based on Eayn, the Clan's location was eventually discovered and they were wiped out not a moment too soon. A Cell survived and fled, inhabiting a Insurrectionist-owned planet in UNSC Space. Another member of the Clan also survived. Lyr Koi fled from the Clan, joining a T'vaoan Mercenary's crew, mere days before the Clan's Destruction, which was led by Clan Gel.
Signature weapon: Any weapons looted from raids, shown as a signature of their successes.
What they do now: They mainly trade with the Insurrectionist that kindly let them settle of their planet. They also help the Insurrectionists do whatever they do, in response to that kindness.
How much territory they control now: The Cell that survived have settled down on a Insurrection owned planet in UNSC space. They work with the Insurrectionist there and have prospered and grown in numbers ever since. Though their numbers do not exceed the size of Cell, yet.
Allies: Use to be allies with Kha, but are no longer since the destruction of the Clan.
Enemies: The surviving Cell has an unrivaled hate against Gel.
