Since the creation of the first blade, it and its Sangheilian creators were intertwined forever to a bloodied bond still strong to this modernized day of firearms and explosives. In the course of thousands of years of evolution of body and culture, the Sangheili kept to the firm grip of their weapons and their identity as the eternal symbols to their code of honor and nobility. Each blade different to each artisan and their intended wielders; from the proud western forgemasters and their righteous swords to the secretive eastern swordsmiths and their intricate blades of fatal beauty. Even with the creation of the holy energy swords by the Merchants of Qikost, the various blades and weapons of metal are still crafted for those who still wish to follow the way of the sword, yet to be given the bloodied right of wield the plasma blades in their tender age and inexperience. The right of Swordsman earned from prestige, favor, or even bloodline to few.
Adant-
The Adant clan of Templar’s Rest crafts their native weapons usually from the remains of their prey in addition to their metallurgy. The most ornated and desired is the bones and scales of the fierce Ba'Knwa (Moonbeasts), collected in every Hunt. From fine armor to skewering spears, it is often disrespected as mere ornaments than true weapons...until the accuser have one of these deadly weapons in their throat. In the Covenant military, the inspiring novices and bloodied warriors wield a small variety of weapons that would be acceptable on the battlefield without hindrance;
Ba'Knwa Knife:
From a selective bone of the novice's first Ba'Knwa kill, the novice crafts a sharp shaped blade for the heart of his/her knife-usually the barded end of the tail or carved piece of the skull for suitable size and durable-with a handcrafted handle. Capable of piercing flesh and withstanding a blade-to-blade battle for a time, the knife is usually the constant comrade of the Adant warrior since the Ba’Knwa is a rare and honored species in the colony.
Adant Blade:
The Adant blade, a four-foot short sword with a curved single-edged blade and a hilt of bone and wood, is a fine addition to a clansman’s arsenal. The young aristocrats of the clan usually carry this weapon along with the Ba’Knwa knife to show their status, further shown with a keep symbolic jewel in the curve of the sword; each gem different for the client keeps and the prime city keep of the Adant.
Anjar-
The Anjar clan, one of the most zealous practitioners of the Forerunner religion amongst the native-born Sangheili, has earned proper favor from their seers for their faith. Favoring the alloy of San’Shyuum’s design in similarity to the weapons of the ancient San’Shyuum warriors in the First Age of Conflict, the Anjar construct elegant yet vicious weapons to further connect their kinship to their religious benefactors.
Anjar Dagger-
A long dagger reaching nearly two feet of length, its blade slightly curve and slender until it widens at the first two half-foot. The hilt is however similar to a curveblade’s, properly gripped with the Sangheilian hand structure. Used viciously in combat by the Anjar devotees to skewer and slit the throats of their enemies-religiously or personal-the dagger is a long-standing icon of the Sangheilian loyalty to their lords in the Covenant.
Jarrissium Sword-
A straight sword with a horizontal hilt in reference to the forefather of the energy sword, the Jarrissium sword is a ‘romantic’ weapon often found in libraries’ novels; etched with Forerunner runes of blessing and valor, metal gleaming in the triplet swords like newly mined silver, and blade cutting down several enemies. Romantically but in the Sangheili’s case, true to words. Used by the nobles of the clan, they are trained for the traditional swordplay that most of the Covenant is well-accustomed to.
Aquir-
The Aquir is a fisher-central clan for many centuries to the point evolution made the clansmen into an aquatic-dependent subspecies. Dwelling on the colony of Gentle Grail, the clan has found many ores and materials to craft weapons of their own individuality and in relations to the ancient god of the seas.
Aquir Curveblade-
Different for every individual, the Aquir curveblade follows the common theme of using carapaces, stones, and jewelry to create the blade. Usually amongst the lower-class, the blade is made from a sharpened rock or the larger pincer of the pearl-crabs with simple designs to the hilt. In the upper classed members of the city keep, it is more rich-looking but overall still the same effectiveness.
Aquir Spear-
The Aquir spear is a trident crafted from exported guan-wood for its shaft with the pincers of a pearl-crab and central steel blade for the spear-tips. Reaching nearly eight feet tall in length, the spear is trained mostly to the noble youth as symbols of their bloodline. To train with such a weapon require the fluidity and grace equal to the sea of Sanghelios as well as the discipline to control its flow.
