Eagle Pointe--Settled in the early 1900s by transplanted New Englanders and Southerners, Eagle Point quickly became a hub of southern Saint Florian Island, and became county seat when the island was divided into Phoenix and Eagle counties. Many of the families in the town are old, having been here since the beginning.
