Name: Yeil Sha
Species: Kig-Yar, Ruuthian
Gender: Female
Age: 53
Job:
Hailing from the small Nest of Sha Yail was held in the highest regard and one of the council of Elders who would work with the Commodores to help address issues that would come up to the Nest. Specifically Yeil was one of the Nature focused Monks of Sha - skilled in a wide variety of things related to the natural world ranging from how to preserve it, live off it without any kind of advanced machinery besides hand tools, how to prepare the gifts the land provides, and of course how to protect it. As was true with many of the Sha Elders Yeil was very capable when it came to protecting herself as Sha is not foolish enough to think that they can dissuade any conflict with words.
But unlike the large majority of Sha Yeil saw that the best way she could spread the teaching of her Nest was not to let those needing Guidance come to her, but instead of going out to find them herself. Natural born Sha rarely leave their temples and homes and even more rare for the Elders to leave as to Sha a large part of the world outside of their islands and Eayn is a maelstrom of hate and violence. But Yeil would not be deterred from her goal and so with the Commodores blessing she left the quiet grounds and temples of her home to wander the Galaxy.
It has on the whole not been going well as very few individuals are interested in trying to calm down and let go of their hate. But Yeil has had a lot more success on poorer locations, helping set up gardens to help feed the populations and teaching them how to slow down the hectic universe and find peace in the quiet. Thankfully Kig-Yar are often happy to give her rides as she is a Matron, Elder, and a Sha - who never wish harm on anyone.
Appearance/Weapons:
An older Ruuthian female Yeil doesn't look scary at all. As a female she had no spines on her head and her skin is dull yellow like most Ruuthians. She is of normal height and weight however for her species and gender and her eyes are light opaque pink.
Her demeanor of quiet and careful movements and voice have made several Humans and Unggoy thought they could easily rob the 'old crow' - but these have all met with failure as while Yeil may be old she is very observant and aware of the world around her, and have made swift work of pickpockets and theives who have tried to rob her on the past. A blurry hiss of her Wasp and the attacker is often on the ground clutching their head of chest from the swift impact of the spinning weapon.
Which is odd because her Wasp is nearly always visible on her body so the criminals can clearly see she has somthing on her person besides her clothes and belt pouches. Yeil often keeps the head of her Wasp a blunt weight rather than a blade but has one with her for when needed, demonstrations, or when she needs an eating knife. The rope is wrapped around her torso and down to her right arm where the weight is slipped through the small hoop she holds and that hands beside her hand, like a bracelet that fell off.
For clothing Yeil, being Sha, keeps it simple and free of garish ornamentation. Often just a simple short sleeved white shirt with a large neck hole and zip up dull blue jacket over that - as Yeil often finds spaceports cold. And then dark pants and shoes with small holes in them for her talons. To keep her feet nice and warm too. As she does a lot of traveling she often has a backpack as well and a belt with several pouches in it for carrying the items she needs to travel as well as her PP. Sha are allowed some modern conviences.
She however does not carry a sidearm like nearly all Kig-Yar do, as she doesn't want to give others the wrong impression about what she is all about. And believes that others will think better if they don't see a obvious weapons and better relations were be initially established.
Skills:
- One of the best currently living users of the Whirling Wasp.
- Very skilled at survival and living off the land.
- Able to stay extremely calm under pressure and holds no prejudices, also speaks most of the galaxies languages.
Suckages:
- Getting on a bit in years, this with the normal Ruuthian frame makes her a bit frail
- Not skilled with high end computers and flight systems.
- Less than spectacular with ranged firearms.
Personality:
A very calm, kind, and quiet Matron of Sha who loves nothing more than to help a person reach enlightenment and betterment. Either by helping them get over a dependency, their anger and preconceived notions about other species, or just improving their lives to make them happier.
Basic History:
- Natural born Sha, born into a middle class family.
- Loved the trees and grounds outside the Sha temples and living spaces, enjoyed spending a long time out there to listen to the animals that lived there.
- Lived a normal Sha life of quiet mediation and learning to defend oneself as well as respect the world and others.
- After initiation fully into Sha life as an adult pursued a natural orientated career.
- Traveled around Eayn a lot after finishing the advanced schooling, helping other clans fix problems they were having with their ecosystem.
- Eventually joined Sha's Council of Elders once old enough after glowing recommendations from several of the current Elders.
- Served in the council for many years before, after seeing the state the galaxy was in post war, decided to do something about it herself and left to spread Sha teachings and help.
- Has been doing this for around two years now, and is still going strong.
