So, is this basically an alternate version of Halo Wars? I'm just curious, that's all.

no, we are working with the ship from Halo Wars, doesn't mean this is an "alternate version" of it, besides there was other ships at arcadia...

Prez is right.
Basically, we are working with the 'Spirit of Fire' at Arcadia. Although I doubt we'll help them at the Shield world, but thats up to the Fleet captains to decide when we get to that part...

ERighto. I guess this is where having more than just a passing knowledge of all Halo games would come in handy, uh?

Yes double post I know, ooo naughty... >_>
Anyway, just as a note, for those who didn't see the Cbox message.
Everyone is exempt from all training for the purpose of this first mission. Think of it as a global training mission for everyone. (Sort of...)
This rule will be broken for anyone who does not post to a satisfactory standard in the Main rp mission. All those who are singled out by Admins and/or Mods as not posting to a satisfactory standard will get their access to the Main rp revoked and be forced to participate in the training mission until they are up to the standards which have been set.
So, in other words, don't blow it first time unless you love training missions...

Just as a note, I'm gonna make it compulsory to state which character you're roleplaying as in each post, considering both threads are shared by both UNSC and Covenant forces. It might get a little confusing otherwise.

Why are the space and ground ops in different threads. Seems like you would want it all in one, so everyone knew what was happening on both sides....Like pilots....Do we have to post in the space thread when we return to ship and the ground thread when we head to the surface?

We've tried both space and ground in one thread beofre, it wasn't pretty. It's almost like separating into Mission #A, Mission #B, which I thought was an excellent system.
Edit: Elando can we get a Covie request template? Or odes the same apply for both sides?

That makes sense then. Thanks Hunter....
Also, I think they are both in that one thread. It's just so people aren't getting four-teen scorpions dropped to them.

Yeah the support requests are the same basically. I don't see why they shouldn't be.
Also, as for space and ground in the same thread, once the MAC rounds start flying in space, it gets really confusing. I'm just going to say that if you're a pilot on ground operations, just post flying to the ship and returning in the ground operations thread. It's very time consumeing having to post in both...

Ok there seems to be some confusion about the Battlecruiser in the Space thread.
The Battlecruiser was on the Planet's surface and it did a slipspace jump, much like one does in Halo 2 and Halo ODST. There is no Battlecruisers around anymore, just boarding craft and Serephs. There will, however, be a Battlecruiser later on when it reaches the system but for now, there is none.

Hmm, looks like I took a popular route, seeing as the next two ODSTs dropped in rather close.

^ Which is silly, considering they'd probably crush at least 1 person in your squad by doing so...

It's because these ODST wannabe's need some guidance, they want rank but not responsibility of their own unit. Bottom line: They'll all copy what your doing Useful Dave, cause you know what your doing

Its silly really, the Marine Objectives are considerably more fun than the ODST ones. I mean in the Marine objectives you have free reign to request any weapon and vehicle you want and just drive around saving Civilians and blowing shit up.
For ODSTs you get less choice and a harder objective.
I suppose we'll seperate the boys from the men when this mission is over though...
