This is the alternate universe in which the Unggoy reign supreme. The humans have been accepted into the Covenant after defeating it, and the Unggoy have rebelled and won, becoming the dominant race in the Covenant. This is the age of the Unggoy.
Mapwaw sat on his high throne, watching the Unggoy's feast of honor, in their tenth year anniversary of the day they took over the Covenant. Mapwaw was old, something rare for his species. He planned on changing that though. The Unggoy now had the highest tech energy shields and weaponry, control of all major facilities and armies as well as ships, while the Sangheili and Jiralhanae were workers and slaves, much like the Unggoy had been in the old days. Mapwaw had changed this. He had started the rebellion, and with the help of their now loyal allies, the humans, they had won. The humans carried energy shields as well, and walked with the Unggoy as brothers in battle. The Yanme'e, Huragok and MgaLekgolo walked in battle the same, but were treated better as well. Most creatures liked the reign of the Unggoy, which was why it succeeded. The San 'Shyuum were kicked from the Covenant, and killed wherever seen, for what they had done in the days of old. The Kig-yar were allowed into battle, but only with plasma pistols. No shields or energy gauntlets, those were given to the Yanme'e. Mapwaw watched the feast, in this glorious time of his species' reign.
Mapwaw and the stolen ship flew into Earth's atmosphere, sending out a message:They wished to speak with Earth's leaders. Roughly 15,000 Unggoy were in the ship, but only 100 left the ship. Mapwaw was with them, and the Unggoy were allowed to stay on Earth for a short amount of time. Mapwaw, their leader, spoke with the Earth's leaders, or who they had presented him with. Their were guards across the room with weapons, and Mapwaw was not allowed to bring his inside. "What brings you here?" The man asked Mapwaw, sounding friendly but looking cold. "I'm Mapwaw. My species, the Unggoy, are going to uprise against the Covenant, and we want your help. We're going to take it over, and if you help us, we will allow you into the Covenant to rule with us." Mapwaw told the leader. The leader spoke with Mapwaw on the issue for several hours, before speaking with a higher officer over the phone. After a while it seemed they came to a conclusion. The humans agreed and joined Mapwaw and his army in their attack of the Covenant.
The Covenant ship flew into the MgaLekgolo's government area, and they landed their ship nearby. Mapwaw was allowed to see their leader, and he spoke with them as well. "Help us take down the Covenant! We will rule, and the humans shall come as well. You will be treated better, and you can rule the Covenant as well!" Mapwaw offered. The MgaLekgolo continued to barter with Mapwaw until they had agreed to join the uprising. They called the Yanme'e and Huragok to the meeting as well, and they agreed to join the uprising as well. They now had a large army, as well as units in the Covenant military as well. Their ships left, and moved to Eayn to take over the Jackals first.
The ships moved in, and began to fire upon the Kig-Yar ships immediately. They had mixed forces, so there were members of each species aboard each ship. The Kig-Yar ships quickly fell to the fleet of what the Unggoy, MgaLekgolo, Yanme'e and humans called the New Covenant. The Kig-Yar began to attack back after their fourth ship had fallen, but the New Covenant's forces were already deployed. They attacked the ground, killing the Kig-Yar wherever possible. They copied tactics from the Covenant, killing men, women and children. The attack lasted for 30 minutes before the Kig-Yar soldiers counter-attacked, and they fought for the planet. After two days of fighting, the Kig-Yar forces were small and barely even hampering the New Covenant's forces, as well as most of their fleet being destroyed, when reinforcements came. Ships from the Covenant military appeared, but many of the species in the New Covenant rebelled as well, attacking their military leaders. The Sangheili and the Jiralhanae began to execute members of the species involved in the rebellion, causing more to attack as well.
Many ships in the Covenant fleet were taken over, and they continued the fight at Eayn. The Sangheili and the Jiralhanae managed to help the Kig-Yar, and even out the odds on the battlefield again, when the UNSC began to drop ODST's and engage air support, and the other species dropped some of their more experienced warriors. The war at Eayn lasted 14 months before the New Covenant emerged victorious. With the Covenant's forces in the area all but gone, the ships of the New Covenant began to glass the planet. Half of the planet was glassed before the Kig-Yar surrendered and agreed to join the New Covenant as a slave race, or Cannon fodder, much how the Unggoy were once. They fought the Sangheili and the Jiralhanae off of Eayn, and gathered up their forces once again, drafting Kig-Yar into their military, and rebuilding and taking ships at their spaceports.
The New Covenant fleet appeared in Doisac's atmosphere, alerting the Jiralhanae. Their ships immediately engaged, attacking the New Covenant's forces. They deployed their troops, and attacked the Jiralhanae, when the Kig-Yar rebelled as well. The New Covenant soldiers fought hard, killing many of the Jiralhanae and Kig-Yar, when the Kig-Yar surrendered once again, their forces being limited to only several creches. They were reinlisted into the fight against the Jiralhanae, and the battle ensued. After 2 years of fighting, the Jiralhanae forces began to dwindle. They were being attacked by forces much more numerous than them. The New Covenant began to use the same tactics they had on Eayn, glassing most of the planet's surface. The Jiralhanae continued to fight, angry at the intruders to their world, when threatened with the extinction of their race. They ignored the threat, and Jiralhanae reinforcements came to the planet.
The Jiralhanae reinforcements helped to hold off the attack, but only for another month, when the Sangheili sent reinforcements to stop the rebellion. The battle at the planet lasted another 3 years with the Sangheili reinforcements, but still fell when the Jiralhanae agreed to join the New Covenant as well.
The Sangheili sent troops to the planet captured years ago, in an attempt to regain their foothold there. The New Covenant troops counterattacked after the first week, and they fought for 3 more months before the Sangheili ships pulled back, beaten once again.
The New Covenant's ships pulled in to Sangheilios's atmosphere, and their weapons were hot and firing the second they were in sight of their enemies. Many of the Covenant ships fell from the initial attack, but more came. The New Covenant sent boarding parties in an attempt to take over as many ships as possible. They gained one for every two they destroyed/self destructed, and their fleet grew stronger with every ship successfully taken. After 3 months of fighting in space, the New Covenant deployed their troops to the ground, attacking the planet of Sangheilios. The war continued at the planet, heavy fighting from both sides. By now, the New Covenant severely outnumbered the Sangheili, the only species that had not joined the New Covenant. War continued for 5 years at the planet until 2565, when the New Covenant won the war and the Sangheili joined the New Covenant, which became the Covenant, with new rulers. A feast was held that day, and again every year, to celebrate the Covenant.
