After your victory at the Airfield & Glasgow, you were all recalled back to High Charity, where you were all honoured for your bravery and glorious battles.
You all are now currently unassigned, so you now have time to do whatever it is that Covenant do on their time off...
... Until you are needed again. *Ques Halo 2 ending music*
//OOC: So enjoy guys, live up and laugh up.

Kel returned to consciousness a day after the engagement. She found herself lying upon one of the medical beds of an infirmary. She was back in the fleet, surrounded by blue and purple lights.
"Good morning, beautiful." Kel looked about for the source, and discovered a kig-yar beside her bed.
"Zhal!" She greeted with surprise.
"Don't get up. You had quite a shoulder injury." He placed a hand on her, restricting her attempt to rise. Kel accepted the fact and laid back down.
"Did we-"
"We won. The humans and their imps fled like the vermin they are. I even got my fill!" He grinned, quite pleased with the results of the battle. Kel groaned.
"Where are we?" Kel inquired, changing the topic before Zhal could go into detail on his blood-hunt.
"On-board Malevolent Aristocracy, headed for High Charity. Reinforcements have already secured the planet and are preparing it for occupation."
Kel sighed quietly, and Zhal cocked his head. "Is something wrong, Kel?"
"No... yes, I just wonder if I actually played a role in the end. My lance was so far off to the sidelines, that we had to force an engagement just to say we fought. And even then, I was the only one capable of claiming lives."
"I'm sure you played an important role. You really should have seen the endgame. It was absolutely beautiful. But nearly as beautiful as you." He rose from his stool and seated himself on the bed. "As for Kag and Zuk? I'm sure they'll be fine. Bitter, and resentful, but otherwise fine."
Kel shifted, and rested herself against him. He eagerly took the opportunity to wrap his arms around her. "I just want this war to end." Kel muttered quietly. "I just want to live my life, and not fight and kill all the time. I just want it all to end..."
"It will. Of this, I'm sure. The Covenant will defeat the humans, and we can all go on the Great Journey together. And I'll will take it alongside you, and we can live in paradise." Zhal nodded to himself.
Kel closed her eyes. "I hope you're right."

-Kag-
Chittering slightly the Kig-Yar slowly walked down the halls towards the med-bay, thoughts running though his mind for Kel. Was she alright? What of the rest of his lance? Kag was unsure but he worried for her... Greatly...
Slowly walking through the door to the med-bay.
Talking was heard from two other Kig-Yar whom he quickly recognized.
Seeing the two Kig-Yar Kag laughed a bit and leaped up on the bed next to them, remaining in a crouched-perch position just out of their line of sight.
"You two are going to make me sick..."

Kel startled at Kag's voice, and drifted from Zhal's embrace. Zhal wordlessly greeted Kag with a look of irritation.
Kag assisted in laying Kel back down, and nodded towards the door. "I'm so sorry you came all this way, Kag, but Kel is really tired and should really get some sleep. Why don't you follow me out? I'll... get you a drink or something, and we can discuss the mission." Zhal rose from the bedside, and headed for the door. With a last look towards Kel, he walked out of the room.

-Kag-
Kag grumbled slightly a Zhal before turning his head to Kel.
"I'll come check on you later... don't die on me, team needs a sniper and something to look at." He said chuckling sarcastically before springing over Kel completely and following Zhal.
"Problem..?"
The Skirmisher could tell something was up, he was just waiting on what.
-Rakath-
Leaving the company of his CO and the others to think, walking through the halls slouched slightly still, slowly making his way down one of the many hallways.
What did they want him to do now...?
What life was he to end next..?

Til wiped some blood off his last skull with his bloody cloth before checking it for any other mess on his new trophy. Sastified, he put it at the end of a short row of human skulls sitting on a large rag. Seven worthy trophies to add to his collection back home. Almost ceremoniously wrapping the cloth over the craniums, he washed his hands in a bowl of water next to a few other bowls containing the remains of the skulls' former visage.
Drying his hands, Til looked at the burnt skin of his hands before starting to put his guantlets back on. He don't think he would get use to it.
Croaking in his throat, he rose from his knees, hearing them snap from being in the same posture for a hour. Then a hiss of disgust came behind him and the obvious voice of a Kig-yar spoke, "I don't understand the ritualism of you Sangheili hunters."
"It is a long tradition, Sufang. These skulls hold value in my clan, and a few others, each bring greater honor to me personally to my peers and the afterlife. Skulls hold more value than other body parts and..." Til explained before thinking up sometime to entertain his mercenary friend, "In a collector's point of view, give out a imtimidating touch to your home. Agreed?"
Sufang, as Til expected, laughed heartily, "Indeed." "How is your wounds healing?" The Sangheili asked and Sufang just shrugged, "Better now that I had a expert's touch."
Til looked back to the much-shorter Kig-yar and laughed, "I know enough to keep someone alive in the battlefield till a expert arrived. A boon of the Gods is it now?"
Rubbing his dressed wound, Sufang nodded. "From what I hear from Skor, you have gained much honor in the building when I left." Til said, cleaning up, giving bowls to his Unggoy aides before putting a hand on Igri.
"Indeed I have, in your Sangheilian concept and my own. Those filthy heretics didn't know what hit them and when they did, their throats were torn out." Sufang hissed in a moment of reliving his vengeance.
Til laughed with his tusked mandibles spread wide, calming down, and nodded. "Your savagry is a interest to me." He said before looking down at Igri and spoke in his language roughly without the highness in its tone, "Excellent commanding, Igri."
Igri bowed to his superior in graditude, even to have a Sangheili speak a word of the Unggoy language was a honor.
Til grabbed his skull-bag and started to walk, "I will return. I need to seek a few of my comrades."

Kel adjusted her position, and closed her eyes to sleep. With her shoulder bandaged after surgery, she would be stuck in the infirmary for a week at best. But she was sure the devision members would visit when they had free time between their duties. --Zhal-- Zhal strode through the corridor, brow furrowed. Kag walked quietly behind him. When Zhal led the skirmisher around a corner, he turned on him. "Kel is mine!" He seethed, attempting to pin the bulkier skirmisher against the wall. "She is my future mate, and I will not let you take her away from me!" He bared his teeth. "I have spent more years by her side than you have been a part of this devision, and I know her better than you ever will!" He relinquished his grip and took some steps back. "You have some nerve visiting her. If you ever put her in harm's way, I will not hesitate to rip your throat out. I am her protector. And you had best keep that in mind." He turned his back and began to stalk down the cruiser's hallway. OOC: Sorry I didn't manage to portray Zhal just right. Something's missing, thus making him look like an angry, jealous 'boyfriend' of Kel's. But he is a bloodthirsty type, so that might just be him about to fly into a rage.

Sorsa stood perfectly still, swords held firmly on each hand. With a spinning flourish, he began. Blades cleaving through the air, the Special Operator became a dervish of metal. Body moving on instinct, he allowed his mind to wander to memories he hadn't thought of in some time.
Seemingly in a bird's eyeview, he saw the mountain fortress of Clan Xirsas, snow perpetually threatening to engulf the mighty building. Weary travellers nearly frozen by the sub-zero temperatures would find the keep to be a continuously warm place, with plenty of food and shelter.
He had not gone back since he had become a Special Operator...perhaps that was for the best. Spec Ops generally weren't welcomed back warmly.
His mind then wandered to his wife, Fria Jiras. He had not spoken to her in years, and even then it had been through holograms...he hadn't even been able to say farewell in person.
Sorsa's consciousness came back to reality abruptly as one of his swords went flying across the room, neatly thudding into the wall right in front of Kora as the Spec Ops Major entered the room.
"I can leave if it's a bad time..." Kora said hesitantly, eyes glued to the wavering prongs and hilt of the sword a mere inch in front of his nose.
Sorsa grinned wryly. "Apologies, Kora. What is it you wished to tell me?"
"Marum was thinking about having a sparring contest between the four of us. Do you wish to participate?"
Sorsa strode over to the still quivering sword, then pulled it out with a mighty heave. "Lead the way."

-Kag-
Growling slightly as he found himself being pushed on by the smaller Kig-Yar, bracing his strong legs to hold him for a split second before bringing his open palm into the other males gut to push him back, or to the floor to make Zhal let go of him.
"I want nothing to do with your play toy..."
"Pathetic! I saved her from a death that you would have blamed me for! She would have died had i not helped her away, and you tell ME i cannot check on her?!" Kag reached over and grabbed the other Kig-Yars rm t pull him back as he began to walk away.
"I'm not done talking to you yet, Idiot!"

Zhal froze, an evident twitch marring his features. "You chide me for my actions, and yet insult her by suggesting she is merely a toy?!" Zhal whipped around, snarling, talons at the ready. "You are so quick to leap to your death, welp!" Zhal lunged at Kag, ready to tear into him.

-Kag-
His attack was sloppy... Really even Kag's low experience in battle could see that... Or maybe he had just spent too much time watching the Elites spar, picked some things up ya know?
And thus, mimicking a move he had seen the Elites do..
The Skirmisher quickly moved t the left, spinning on his heel as he brought his elbow back, attempting to ram Zhal to the ground.
"Nice try, Friend."

The hit connected successfully. Zhal crashed into the wall, and slumped in a strange position on the floor, looking up, throat against the wall.
He quickly pulled himself to his feet, however, and made another go at Kag, attempting to tackle Kag and bring him to the ground. His bloodlust was starting to take hold of him, and his actions were becoming more hostile, and more savage by the second. If he couldn't beat down Kag, then how could he hope to keep Kel from falling for the other breed than for a real Kig-Yar like himself?

He looked back at Zhal, expecting the Kig-Yar to give up he began to walk away, but now.. Kag should have known it wasn't going to be over then...
The force hit him to the ground just as he turned back towards Zhal with a grunt.
He was under the other Kig-Yar.. unable to move his claws, kick, or snap he growled and brought his head up towards Zhal's.
"Get OFF of me!" Kag growled, attempting to headbutt him a second time

Zhal fell off of Kag, the headbutt causing him to falter. He snarled visciously, and gave Kag a evil glare. He set to lunge, but found himself rooted, two spindly arms wrapped around him.
Kel had escaped the infirmary at the sound of the fighting that was typical of Zhal's outbursts. She was kneeled to the floor, a dead-weight to Zhal's movement. "Stop, Zhal!" She pulled him back. Zhal looked between her, and Kag, seemingly debating whether to pull free and rip into Kag, or submit to Kel's demands. "Zhal, it's not worth injuring yourself for. Stop fighting."
Zhal's blood haze lifted, and he gave a warning growl to Kag, before pulling Kel to her feet, and guiding her back to the infirmary.

About ready to go at it again, Kag went into a prepared stance with his arms bent, hands angled where he could claw or bite at Zhal with ease... But then Kel came, stopping the Skirmisher from tearing into the Jackal... Entertaining since most of their race were mindless killers.
Blood dripped from Kag's face, and a small amount from his leg...
"You remind me of my father, Zhal... So.... angry all the time..." He stood up straight and tilted his head.
"But you hit about as hard as an Unggoy..." Kag turned and began walking, leg hurting him much more than he wanted to admit, thus keeping one hand on the wall as he moved and leaving a small trail of blood drops in his wake.
Moving as far away from his teammates was fine right now... Maybe he would go watch the Shangheli spar more...
-Rakath-
Turning down the hall, the large Ultra was now standing up straight, his helmet was in his hands rather than on his head, he had begun to grow uncomfortable in the metal shell over his face, yet he was fine with the rest of his armor.
He was tired from the battle, though he had not gotten a chance to do anything... but that was besides the point... Battle was battle, and at least Rakath had survived in the first place...
Stopping at a window, the Ultra leaned on the wall to stare out into the void... It was peaceful at least... Gave him time to think...

Hectus's deep voice boomed "had my pack been there in force you may not have had such sport! But killing humans is like killing the unggoy, a real test is that of a Jiralhanae!" he says sitting against the wall further down the hall. Around him are Monkra and Sabra, giving the sangheili wicked grins. He sat upright and walked over to the sangheili, looking down at him he grinned "But you wouldn't want to fight one..."

-Rakath-
The deep booming voice of a Chieftain met his ears... Was trying to find a qiet place to think too much t ask? Rakath did not think so but... Seems the rest of the Covenant thought otherwise.
Turning his head only slightly he gave a slow nod. "I am... sure you are correct..."
Rakath said, his own deep voice sounding tired in every meaning of the word, slowly pushing himself off the wall in a more human like motion than Shangheli he turned to the large figure and bowed respectfully.
"Ultra Rakath V'keelaii..."
Rakath had no quarrel with the brutal terror troops of the Covenant's "Holy" forces... And he did not see them as any different as his own kind. Just warriors. He hoped they would not go to their violent nature of causing fights... Rakath did not feel like ending any more lives.

The chieftain's smirk grew wider, this sangheili was not of a condescending nature.
"Hectus Teruines, chieftain of this sectors pack..." his guards smiles dropped as he Hectus responded with any thing but a fist. Hectus flipped his hand at the two guards and the skulked off. Hectus removed his long pipe and filled it with a tangled mass of brown leaves, he lit it with his plasma ligniter and puffed thoughtfully
"I respect a warrior of not only skill but wit, come sangheili we shall speak elsewhere?" he invited Rakath with a opened arm toward the corridor leading to the meditation hall.

Kyet, dressed in a long brown robe and his favorite hat, along with the blade he always kept sheathed across shoulder, approached a large, imposing Jiralhanae, evidently a chieftain, that was conversing with a surprisingly unconfrontational sangheili.
"Excuse me, chieftain, but I was wondering if you were willing to deal in weaponry? I have something you might enjoy, and I've never had a chance to add any Jiralhanae technology to my collection! I do find it most fascinating!"

Rakath watched the Chieftain for a moment... A strange thing to see something like the pipe he had. Rakath had not at least... Not to say the same about every other being in the Covenant.
When the Brute offered to talk elsewhere, Rakath nodded, holding his helmet down towards the ground as he walked a few paces up to the high ranked solder, and suddenly another voice came... Kig-Yar... Turning he looked at the small form and gave a small bow.
"A... Collection you say?"

The chieftain raised his eyebrows in surprise, was there something in the water on this planet they had done battle on? Why were they being so reasonable...
The Chieftain took a long puff of the pipe and allowed smoke to lazily pour out.
"What might you have kig-yar?" he asked re setting his stance. "I may be able to part with a few things, though you may find them not exactly of "holy" status" he said laughing smoke and patting his revolver.
"But this is not conversation to have in a drafty hall, come Kig-yar, sangheili, walk with me."

Following the Sangheili and the Jiralhanae down the hallway, Kyet elaborated,
"Yes, I own many things form all but two of the races that make up our covenant! I own a vast variety of Kig-Yar swords, of course, as well as a few ancient sets of armor. I happen to have aquired a sangheili curve blade from a zealot... friend of mine, as well as an Unggoy methane tank, pieces of Yan'me'e chitin, and even a Mgalekgolo's assault cannon! However, as I observed my collection the other day, I thought about how nicely a Jiralhanae hand shotgun would sit with the rest. So, I have modified a weaapon that I thought you might enjoy, chieftain!"
Kyet pulled from his robe a handfull of identical tiny devices, before continuing,
"Utilizing covenant energy technology, I have created this device, a small implant that fuses itself directly to various metals and alloys. When the process is complete, it can be activated, deploying an energized field much like what is produced by my blade," Kyet said, pointing to his sabre, "This allows you to energize the blades of the vast majority of the weapons you carry, making them significantly more lethal in close quarters."
Kyet reached back into his robe, bulling out several more devices,
"These attatch to your firearms similarly, but instead of energizing the blades, they project a shield like my energy gauntlet around the barrel of the weapon. It is not large, and certainly not enough to cover yourself, but it would certainly protect your hands from enemy fire in a fight!"

Watching the Kig-Yar the Ultra remained silent, turning his head slightly to the left in thought.
"An interesting concept... Kig-Yar..." Rakath said brushing his chin.
"I might trade with you myself yet sadly... I have nothing of interest. maybe another day."
Rakath lifted his helmet and sealed it on his head again, looking to the Chieftain... What was he going to do?

Hectus entered his private meditating chamber and sat on the plush fur pillow. The room was covered with animal furs and skulls. ON the floor rested pillows made of a strange, soft fur.
"Sit, please." he said settling himself in. "Now about your items Kig-Yar, they do seem...interesting, what exactly is it you want for them and how many would i be receiving?" he said re stuffing his pipe with a new blue leaves that had a strange odor to them.

"I would give you ten of each, at the cost of a single hand shotgun, as well as ample ammunition for it. Is this acceptable?" asked Kyet as he sat upon the floor.
As for you, Sangheili, I have another item that you might find interesting! I'm sure you have a training helmet you would be willing to offer?

Hectus allows the blue smoke to pour out of his nostrils as he thinks
"Kig yar...i like these...things you have, i believe this is acceptable." He stands up and walks over to a medal locker and passes his hand over its sensor causing it to pop open with a hiss. He pulls out several knives, two spikers, a red plasma rifle a brute shot and a broken hammer shaft.
Finally at the bottom he pulls out a Mauler. He then placed several of the drums on the table at the center of the room.
"Now kig yar if you are interested i may be able to offer something else...if you can help me get something..." he says pulling a ceremonial war axe out and laying it on the table "It was used by Jiralhanae pirates before the prophets found us..."

Rakath awkwardly sat on his knees on the pillow as he watched the trade go about. When the Kig-Yar turned to talk to him he nodded.
"Yes, I do have a Training helmet. Not on me currently. Can always get it after this."
He was quiet for a moment, looking away until the Brute added something to his trade. The Ultra leaned forward slightly to look over it, a brutally made weapon like most from his kind, yet effective.
He sat up again and looked down at his Energy Sword on his hip for a moment to occupy himself.

"This isn't completely fair, Sorsa!" Lirm growled, eyes widening as his sword flew from his hand. It skittered across the floor, stopping several meters away.
"Do you yield?" Sorsa grinned, the prongs of his sword nearly touching Lirm's mandibles.
"Yes, obviously." Lirm replied, walking over to retrieve his sword. "I still wager you wouldn't be able to defeat all three of us at once."
"You don't have very much faith in me, do you?" Sorsa said, half joking. "Now, if I was permitted to use only one sword, you would have a slightly better chance."
"Then why don't we do just that?" Marum spoke up, massaging his bruised arm.
"Very well then." Sorsa threw one of his swords to the far side of the room, ignoring the loud thud it made. He settled into a ready stance, sword expertly poised.
Slowly, the other three members of Intervention lance surrounded the Swordsman, swords at the ready. They struck in concert, swords flashing in the light. Unexpectedly, Sorsa vaulted over Kora, rolling to lose momentum.
The three Spec Ops Majors lost balance for a second as their quarry vanished, but still managed to regain their balance just as Sorsa tore into their midst. He bull-rushed Lirm out if his way, sending the other Sangheili sprawling to the floor. He whirled on Kora and Marum, blade lashing out furiously.
With a screech of metal, Kora stabbed the prongs of his sword between Sorsa's, then twisted. Sorsa's sword clanged against the floor, spinning past Lirm as he started charging. Sorsa would have retaliated against Kora, were it not for Marum's blade stabbing at his abdomen. He grabbed Kora's arm, using his blade to deflect the stab. Sorsa kicked out at Kora's exposed back, sending him crashing into Marum. He turned to face the rapidly charging Lirm, the other's blade high.
As Lirm chopped down, Sorsa sidestepped the blow, viciously punching out at Lirm's face. Lirm's training helm cracked from the blow. The Spec Ops Major slammed into the floor, dazed and woozy. Sorsa flipped Lirm's sword into the air with a flick of his feet, easily catching the weapon. He ducked under a horizontal slash delivered by Marum, then spun, leg out. Sorsa caught the back of Marum's knee, tripping him. His off hand hammered into Marum's head, rendering him briefly unconscious. He stood once more, looking ahead at Kora as the Sangheili charged.
Sorsa's blade came up and over, but was blocked by Kora's. The other Sangeili staggered under the blow, grunting in exertion. Sorsa kneed Kora in the stomach, then slammed his elbow into Kora's back as he doubled over. With an explosion of air leaving his lungs, Kora fell to the floor, hands grasping at his sword hilt weakly.
Surveying the prone forms of the rest of Intervention, Sorsa nodded in satisfaction. "I have to say, it didn't improve your chances much."
"I almost had you..." Kora wheezed, struggling to get to his feet.
"We all almost had him." Marum grunted as he pushed himself into a sitting position.
Lirm was still dizzy from the blow he had received from Sorsa. He pulled off his helmet, staring at the damage that had been done to it. "Well, it could have been worse."
"I will leave the three of you to your own devices for the time being." Sorsa said, unbuckling his training armor. He pulled on simple grey robes with violet trim, pausing to run a claw over one of his Marks of Penance. He strode from the room, nodding to the others as he left.

Walking through the carrier, Til was looking for his some of his comrades in arms. Hopefully, he will find Legra before he run into Xet again.
The Major Domo found it more difficult with his blind eye, he might risk his own honor in asking a Huragok in replacing his eye. Moving past the numerous Sangheili, Unggoy, and Kig-yar, he looked hard, but couldn't quite find any.
They might be on a different ship. Shame.

He was on the carrier the whole time during the fight; something he didn't like, but he was ordered by the Prophets to handle the intelligence details throughout the battle. He wanted to be down there, and it angered him, but now the battle was over for now.
Llau 'Medomee stood in the command center of the ship, making sure things were in order before deciding to head out to get some food to eat. A Grunt followed him out quietly.
Nip-nap looked up at the Sangheili for a moment, but then looked down. He knew 'Medomee was angry.
